I think they deliver LIES because thats all Ive gotten. Told on 10/1 that freight was at terminal to be OFD on 10/4 but it didnt show. Told on 10/4 that it was at the rail yard to be picked up that evening and OFD on 10/5...then told on 10/5 that it would get to the rail yard later that day and HOPEFULLY OFD by 10/6. What a joke.

R+L scheduled two delivery dates and left me waiting all day both times with no explanation as to why they never showed before scheduling a third date. Because I was unsure I could be present for delivery, I signed a release allowing shipment of my item (a large framed picture) to my doorstep without signature.The framed art arrived dumped on a wooden pallet on my driveway, poorly packaged and broken. The breakage was evident through the package and the item was left anyway - covered in dirt no less. There is no doubt in my mind the breakage was visible to the delivery crew.Customer service was rude and abrasive both during scheduling and trying to get an explanation for the damaged delivery. Instead of offering even the slightest apology I was spoken over, couldnt get a word in edgewise and frankly it was the worst customer service Ive received in as long as I can remember. No apologies for the three times it took or my lost time to get the delivery. And not the slightest apology for the careless delivery or broken item.I could not recommend this shipping company less and would give them zero stars if possible. Believe the bad reviews and if you have a choice in choosing your shipper (I did not) avoid at all costs.

Delivered doors today. No appointment made, no call. Came home to doors left in disrepair in driveway, no way to move them. Bottom of doors are cracked and broken and damage left on my truck. Called, no response. This is unbelievable. We have had many freight deliveries to our home with no issue from other companies. Apparently customer service is not valued at this company.

I have had a similar issue that the others have shared on this page. I had two scheduled delivery appointments, one even reconfirmed with my stop number on the supposed route, only to be stood up twice with not so much as a courtesy phone call. The woman at the front desk repeatedly told mistruths and offered no customer service whatsoever. I still do not have my delivery and they have now told the company that I purchased my product from it is lost. If you have a choice, which I did not, do not use this company. I have requested my replacement product to be delivered by another carrier.There is no need for any canned we are sorry post from the management either regarding this issue.

World Class Customer Service- this is what they claim. However, when you call and ask for information, all you get is an oh well Our item was due to be delivered yesterday- didnt hear from them at all. When I called today, I was told that possibly mid next week we would see it. Totally unacceptable attitude and terrible service. I would not recommend.

Scheduled Delivery at the beginning of the week for Friday. Called on Friday morning to verify that shipment would be delivered Friday, guy was on the phone was super rude in how talker talked to me and told me it would be on the truck and it would be the 12th deliver. As I have confirmation, I stay home from work as I was instructed I needed to be available between 9a-6pm… 4:30pm rolls around and I call in toAsk if there is a window driver would be there, again super rude telling me they have no idea where my shipment is, the drivers are unresponsive and that they can’t even tell me anything about it… call back at 5:45pm, same guy again super rude and tells me again, he has no idea where the driver or my shipment are and then proceeds to tell me he is not even sure that it went out for delivery today(mind this is the same guy I have talked to every time I have called in since 8am that morning)… 7:15pm call back to ask if they can give me any information, person tells me she is just a dock worker and that I should call Tuesday and maybe they can help me then… If it wasn’t going to be delivered they should have called and informed me so I could have Gone to work. Now I’m out the pay from work and also have to stay home another day whenever they get this figured out, so I can be out two days of pay and the $2500 in shipping they charged. Probably the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They couldn’t care less unless they actually told you that didnt care… or as I was told, “yeah not a big issue”.

The driver refused to go to the back of the house where the garage is to deliver a 370lb engine. And instead left it 15 feet past a gate to my front yard, where I now have to somehow drag this engine another 40 feet to the garage completely unpackage it from the crate its in, attempt to use an engine hoist to bring it up the 3 steps to the garage and then drag it to another bay. All in the nice awesome Washington rain we are having.

I bought a rear axle for my truck through an online service and they decided to use R and L Carriers as their delivery services. The axle was to arrive at a residence on 3-18-21 but on that date R and L Carriers sent a text to me telling me that I needed to call them and set up a time for delivery. I called them immediately and the lady in shipping said that it was going to be delivered Saturday 3-20-21 between 9am and 6pm. I asked her what happened to Thursday 3-18-21 and she said “Yeah, well we have it scheduled for Saturday 3-20-21.” and told me that she can make it for later if I did not like that. I told her I had no choice but to wait since it was the part of the truck that I needed to be able to fix the truck to come and get it. She verified the address and said it will arrive between 9am and 6pm and then hung up on me.Saturday 3-20-21 arrived and I waited between 9am and 6pm and they never showed up and of course their phone lines were close for any call at 5:45pm on a Saturday.On Monday 3-22-21 I called R and L Carriers at 9am and talked to a guy and he said that he heard that none of the trucks went out Saturday and the earliest that I can be scheduled for a delivery will be Tuesday between 9am and 3pm. I asked if there was any other way of getting it to me earlier because I was going to miss out on a job after being out of work for the past 6 weeks and he said that he can schedule it for the 24th if Tuesday didn’t work? I told him that they were going to cost me my job. He said sorry but with all of the online orders recently that they were overwhelmed with deliveries. Of course I asked him why didn’t anyone deliver it on Saturday? He got heated and said I can have it Tuesday or on the 3-24-21. I told him that he gave me no choice but to wait.What do you think the chances are that it will show up on Tuesday???They are so overwhelmed with work that no one showed up for work on a Saturday?If you don’t like when they have you scheduled or if you make a complaint in any way then you WILL wait longer....a lot longer.Now, do you want to use them as a delivery service?They get one star because at this moment they do still have my axle.

They have missed their third pickup window for a return. I have been pushed off multiple times due to drivers being delayed, without a call or update on their end. I have spent hours trying to resolve the issue. They expected me to accommodate them coming to my home in a residential neighborhood at 10 PM with a large truck, which is totally unacceptable. They do not know how to run their business. The ops manager or scheduling manager should be fired because they obviously have no clue how to create realistic schedules for their drivers.

I ordered about 250 square feet of flooring which was shipped by R+L Carriers. I got a text telling me to call them to setup a delivery date. They provided a 5 or 6 hour delivery window and arrived right in the middle of that window. Unfortunately I didnt get the drivers name but he did a great job, when I mentioned inspecting the flooring to check for damage before signing for it, he encouraged it and was extremely accommodating. Whoever delivered the Pro-Number I337182282 package did an excellent job. The flooring was in pristine condition, not a single damaged box. Thanks!

Customer service seems rather professional and was helpful but the shipment process itself has been less than stellar. I had an expected delivery date which fell during my weekend (perfect). But now its expected 2 days late and I had to call for an update instead of them logging a new expected date. I understand delays but it seems im not the only one with this issue. So what am I to do besides bite the bullet and take time off work just to receive a late package? I recommend not using them for residential shipping because you will be placed below the priority line unfortunately.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We have had two experiences with this company and they were both consistently terrible. They said they’d call us to schedule the delivery appointment but failed to do so and just showed up at our house one day, angry that we weren’t there. Then on the second delivery, they scheduled a delivery date and failed to show up that day. We called to ask where they were and they said that they had “lost our package” but didn’t want to call to tell us because they “might end up finding it and be able to deliver it the next day.” Are you serious? The lack of communication and customer service is unfathomable to me. I could go into much more detail but it’s not worth it. You get the point. I see by the reviews that I’m not the only person who has had problems with this company. :/ Very disappointed.

Absolute joke of a company, if your business depends on shipments arriving in a timely manner dont use R+L...just dont. This company has had my shipment out for delivery 2...yes 2 times and it didnt show up either time. My business has not been able to operate because we have been waiting on this shipment which they cant seem to get delivered because of their incompetence.

These people cant keep an appointment. Worse even they dont call to inform you that they wont be stopping by. Two days in a row no call no show for scheduled pickup. I even adjusted my pickup window to better accommodate the driver after I called to his second missed window. Completely unprofessional. Somehow I have magically been disconnected three times while trying to call get answers.

This was their error. They confirmed it.We purchased this item for the holiday tomorrow. Not showing up until next week now. A palette was shipped to our home address instead of our mechanic and re-routing takes this logistics company 10 working days. Even if the destination is only a few miles away. In addition they charge you daily storage while they process this for 10 days. If logistics and shipping is your forte, this is a fail.

Supposed to deliver Friday. Gave me a 9am-5pm delivery window. They never showed up. I had to call and reschedule. I waisted my entire day waiting Friday. Reschedule for Tuesday. I have called three times and it is 5:57pm. My delivery is still not here. This company doesnt have any respect for your time. I ordered through Costco online. I will probably cancel the order and make them waist two days to pick it up. What a serious waist of time.

Tracking # 063823248Arrived 2/8 at portland terminal.They said they lost a pitbike at the portland terminal. I think it was stolen by an empoyee. Multiple contact to be told they would look for it and call back. Never one call back. How do you loose a 150 lbs giant box on your dock? Worst shipping experience I ever had. You owe Tribal.motorsports $1000 because Im getting refunded and they can deal with you.Look at your reviews and you should know something is wrong here. Every other review 1 star. Fix your company or better yet just shut down so nobody else goes thru this because of the incompetents of this company.Edit 2/16And they are ridiculous with the RL Cares response if they think for one second that I didnt already do that. Be aware of who you buy products from and who they use for shipping. R&L received our shipment on 9/11. I received an estimated delivery date of 9/18 from the company I purchased from (realtruck.com). R&L was supposed to contact me to arrange delivery. Since I had not heard from them, I called them on 9/17. They told me that my shipment was sitting in a warehouse in Atlanta, delayed indefinitely. They called me the next day to arrange delivery for 9/21. On 9/21, I received a call that the delivery would be delayed until 9/22. The truck arrived on 9/22. We were expecting 2 boxes, they had only one. The box was completely mangled. Someone did try to tape it back together. We had to refuse delivery as realtruck.com will not replace broken items if we take them off of the truck. My husband called R&L Carriers. They could not have cared less about the damaged shipment. They simply told him to complain to the company who sent it. Unfortunately, their lack of professionalism reflects directly on the businesses who choose to use them for product delivery.*UPDATE*I now have to wait for R&L to do the paperwork and provide photos to the company I purchased from so I can get a replacement sent. The company I made the purchase from tells me they have no choice in who they use for shipping. There is zero chance R&L will lose business due to their terrible service. The responsibility in all of this really belongs to the retailer - they allow this sort of behaviour.

You get what you pay for using LTL Freight carriers. Do yourself a favor and use a different one. This carrier has wasted more of my time than any of the rest. They are routinely late, disregard close of business times, customer services is poor, and no one at R & L Carriers seems to care. As of this review their overall rating is 2.7 out of 5. Any reputable business would have read all these reviews and made changes, clearly they don’t care about you or your freight.

Well during my “interview” the guy, I don’t remember his name, in the middle of my question that I’m replying to, he cuts me off and says I’m going to call you back. BUT NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I just thought this was super unprofessional and just ignorant at that. I’m glad I didn’t continue with this company. It’s people like that whom I don’t want to work for. So thank you.

So to begin this review I would like to say Thank you to the driver who delivered my motor today. BO. # I929263023. Even though the motor was delayed I got a call everyday for 4 days until it was delivered. The driver was phenomenal as he helped me load motor into my BMW SUV ( my work truck lol) with no problems and it was super easy. Thank you guy and gals so much for dealing with this situation. Even if the Portland Rail yard is behind they will let you know and keep you informed. I really appreciate how they are still preforming in all of the Chaos that is going on in America today and still getting it done . Thank you to all. Have a nice day. This company is the EPITOME of a joke. If there was ever an option to give negative stars, this is the company that deserves it. By no means should they remain in business. Its an absolute embarrassment that this company handles situations the way they do. The driver had the wrong package at delivery which we were then told he would be back within 2 hours to drop it off. After 4 hours I called, was pushed through a phone tree for an hour, just to be told that they scheduled my delivery for the next day without consulting with me. Then I was told the item could be dropped off with nobody home, no package arrived (of course) and when I called back, I was told this is not an option. Then we schedule a delivery with a window of 11-1. When I call at 1:30 that the package didnt arrive, I was hung up on 3 times trying to get a hold of somebody. When I finally did, they said the supervisor will load it up and bring it over in 30 minutes. 2 hours later it still didnt arrive. From other comments, this seems to be more of the norm than an anomaly.

Ordered an engine on a Friday, was told it would ship out Monday, to was supposed to pick it up Monday, that didnt happen, when the seller chose this carrier they were quoted 2 days for delivery, it sat all day Thursday and just now left. On time delivery. Amazon scheduled it for 4 days later, R & L expedited it with a friendly call 24 hours before delivery (upon arrival at their facility) to set up a window of time. How nice to have this early during a holiday Rush season. The driverThomas,called prior to the delivery to assure that we were ready for it. He simplified the process of putting the cargo where we needed it.to be downloaded. Cheerful, friendly and excellent service. Would appreciate their service again.

I have never been so disappointed with a service. I ordered a custom made garage door a month ago. Plus...a week for shipping from AZ to PDX. RL Carriers texted me to call to set up delivery. I did, they said it had to be 1 to 5pm on a Friday. Ok. I called the day before . Ken said driver would call 1/2 hr. before delivery and they could do 10 am to noon window on Friday. Great ! I took the day off . I got up early . I rented a fork lift, I hired help to unload and waited. waited. waited. I called at noon. I was told the truck was too full for my delivery. What? I called many more times. I got hung up on twice. Was told dock guys went home at noon? What? then was told my freight was too big for the truck. What? Spoke to Summer, Tracy, Abe, Larry, ect.. they all gave me different excuses. What? What is this? Some were crazy excuses! one guy said they could not help me and hung up ...again. I called to talk to some one else, then got put on hold. Apparently my door was stuck in a truck in the back lot?. They seemed to lazy to care? I called more and persisted . Every time repeating my pro number. I offered to come pick it up myself. A first they said that is not possible. Abe finally called me back at 4pm . I dock loaded it myself with my hired help and drove it home. The fork lift rental agency felt sorry for me and gave me the weekend use free . YAY. What a hassle ! What did I pay for ? this was awful.

Do not sign for delivery unless you thoroughly unpack and inspect EVERYTHING first. Driver was shady and had me sign for delivery as soon as product was on the ground. I opened the box to inspect and my $1000 tool chest was smashed. Driver told me too bad you signed already and left. Next time this company shows up at my place I will refuse any delivery

Ordered an engine from Powertrain Products that uses R+L carriers, quoted me to arrive on the 10th of June. I understand that it can take a day or two longer due to shipping lanes. Made the appointment with my mechanic for the 12th to allow for a delay.Started tracking the shipment and noticed that it seemed to be ahead of schedule as it arrived in the Portland Oregon terminal on the 7th. I was initially happy as Portland is only 2 hours up the highway from Eugene/Springfield and assumed that it would possibly be delivered a day early. Nope! As I continued to track it, the delivery ETA changed to the 12th.I watched the shipment sit for two full business days with no updates. Then on the 10th it started to move again, but now with a new delivery date of the the 15th. After calling, I discovered that it sat in trailer waiting to be unloaded for two business days, the 8th and 9th, before being touched. Then it was handed over to a sister company to make the final delivery. This sister company only makes deliveries once per week in my direction. It will take 7 days to go from the terminal in Portland Oregon to final destination in Eugene/Springfield Oregon, to travel 128 miles or 2.5 hours! It took 3 days to go from Dallas Texas to Portland Oregon which is over 2,000 miles!Shame on my engine vendor Powertrain Products, for using such a disreputable shipping company. Shame on R+L for deceptive shipping ETA practices, and shame on R+L for using lousy sister companies.I lost my repair window with my mechanic and I will now have to wait to a new slot opens in the coming weeks. I will be paying for a rental car a lot longer than originally anticipated. I was told I could go to the terminal and pick it up. Unfortunately, the very truck that I would use to pick it up is the one waiting on a new engine, so that is not an option. I paid for the shipping service based on a june 10 delivery (Powertrain will reply that shipping was free...there is no such thing as free shipping- we pay for it somewhere in the purchase price). No one, and I mean no one is attempting to make this right. I get the same answer from everyone thats how shipping goes and we know it doesnt work. No wonder R+L Carriers struggles to get 2.5 stars in their ratings!!

We picked up our shipment directly from their facility the day after Christmas. Scheduling the pickup was easy and the person that assisted me over the phone was very helpful. Pick up was also fast and easy. They told us right where to park and after signing a few papers they fork lifted our packages over to us and helped load them into our sequoia. There was also no damage to any of our packages.

What an absolute joke of a company. My order was supposed to be here between 11-2. Didnt show up, called them, said it would be here by 3. Then again, and 4. Then again, now by 5. Of course you have to be there to sign off on it so I have wasted an entire day waiting on them. This is the worst shipping company I have ever used. If its going to be late, fine, I get it, but why would you keep stringing me along like that? Looking at other reviews, they deserve every single one of them. Set up a delivery window and address (5 days in advance) as our package was supposed to be left with someone. However, our package was not delivered within the delivery window, was delivered to the wrong address at a location with NO ONE present and was left in the middle of the yard with no way to for us to move it! This is totally unacceptable! What is the point of setting up a delivery window so someone is present and then leaving it in the middle of the LAWN with no one there! The delivery driver didn’t even call or text us that he was leaving the package! UNACCEPTABLE!

I wish it was possible to give zero stars. We purchased a vinyl fence from an online wholesale distributed and they shipped it through R+L, the driver did arrive within the delivery window but it was just one guy. ONE GUY TO UNLOAD AN ENTIRE FENCE. How does that make any sense? His first words were: “I hope you’re not here by yourself”, to which I answered that I was because it was a Monday afternoon that I took off from work. He said there was no way to unload the fence with just two people, I asked why they didn’t send more of their people and he didn’t give a straight answer. He also had the audacity to ask if I could get other people to come to help. First of all, this was a Monday afternoon, everyone is working, I should have been working. Second of all, why do I, THE CUSTOMER, have to be responsible for supplying adequate people to unload a shipment? That is the job of the company. They should have sent more people. Now, I have to round up help from family to take time out of their day to unload this shipment. It is ridiculous and absolutely no way to run a business. I’ll be contacting the company we purchased from to inform them that these people are entirely inept.

Worst ever. If I could give a lower score I would. Dealing with them has been a nightmare. I still dont have what I need. Ive already missed 3 days of work. This last go-round, they scheduled my appointment, verified my address, left a note for the driver to call when he was close. Then, as Im waiting for them to arrive, they call to schedule delivery for me. They completely lost my appointment. I have to explain to my employer why I need a fourth day off work to get my item delivered. Every call to them has been chaos with no one having the same information. If you have ANY other options-TAKE THEM.

My condos by-laws require large items to be delivered at the loading dock, to make use of the freight elevator, and avoid the lobby and passenger elevator. When the R&L delivery person arrived, he told me that he was required to leave the package on the first floor and that his truck would be too tall for the loading dock. I dont believe this to be the case, but since he wouldnt pull around to the loading dock to even try, I cant be sure. He left the package and a wooden pallet (which I had no way of disposing of) in the lobby, leaving me to figure out how to deal with it.

Absolutely horrible services. Never rely on this company if what they are delivering is part of your companies scheduled production schedule - the delivery will be late. Enjoy being on hold while waiting to figure out where your shipment is, then enjoy wasting your time waiting for your parcel with in the times they set - and no one shows. I wish companies like this didnt exist.

I wouldnt even give these clowns a Star at all, if I didnt have to. The Portland branch lost my shipment on their dock and havent found it in 4 days. No one can communicate with anyone else. The Dock manager cant even be reached by her own people, when shes down on the dock. No pagers, no cell phones, no radios to communicate????? What kind of Logistics business is this, Without communication..... Logistical Nightmare, thats what. I had just 1 skid thats over 6ft long and 4 ft wide. Its an oblong package and probably cant hide very well, but these Dingbats and Nitwits seemed to have misplaced it. There tracking doesnt even make sense to THEM when they are looking at it. So pissed.Garbage Company

This carrier is horrible!!!! They are holding shipments for over a week. When you call them to ask why, they give you multiple reasons. They tell you everyday that they will deliver your shipment that day, but they dont. Their terminal manager doesnt care. He just makes excuses. I am letting everyone know that this freight company is awful. There are plenty of other freight companies that can be used. I would give them negative stars if I could!

Expected delivery 11am - 3pm. Shipment didnt leave the facility until 1:45pm which would make a 3pm delivery impossible. Everyone I talked to on the phone insisted it was on the way but would not give specifics and seemed to be in a hurry to get rid of me.Package actually arrived at 7pm. What a joke.

These guys are terrible 5 days in a row they guaranteed my shipment would arrive during a certain time frame and they still have not delivered. They showed up at 6:30pm after they told me my shipment would arrive from 10:00am -2:00pm everyday. I have been on hold everyday while they try to figure this out. These guys are horrible and i do not usually write reviews but it was so bad I had to. Zero Stars

Not even worth one star! Very poor customer service (except for Penny in billing dept). My stove sat in the Portland warehouse for 4 days before I finally had to call them to set up a time for delivery. No one showed up or called the day of delivery. I called customer service and was transferred about 5 or 6 times and ended up in billing dept. for Portland station. ???????????? I am writing a not so good review for the seller of my item on eBay thanks to this shipping company.

I take time off work for my delivery. Company didnt call me before they arrive. Dropped off attempted to deliver notice. I call, they says they call driver to drop off later that night. No call, no show. I call, they make me take more time off work for another delivery. They charge for storage 24 hours after attempted delivery, but no charge me. Driver had a rude tone to voice when he call on second delivery attempt. I dont under how company still in business.

Worst delivery service. confirmed delivery scheduled and did not show up. upon calling, all phone numbers were directed to some random security guard at an out of state warehouse, of which he was no help and quite rude. Customer service was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Did not accommodate my availability with flexible windows despite having multiple options.All in all, a freight delivery service should be simple. They call when its ready for delivery, the customs aligns on a date that works for them and the product is delivered within the window. I should not have to spend 10+ phone calls trying to figure out a delivery, try to get dinged with holding and redelivery fees because they are not flexible with timing and finally, deal with the lack of visibility and service.

Top of my DO NOT SHIP WITH list.Paid quite a bit extra for guaranteed 1-6 day shipping. Didnt have my product on the 7 day and they said told me it would take 2 more days to ship it 23miles once it was on their dock. The reason given to me was the freight truck got hung up in another state. We are a small business and the customer that was waiting was very upset. We lost the customer so I will never ship with this outfit again. Bottom line, when having items shipped, ask who is the freighter and do your homework. If you pay for guaranteed, make sure you get it.

Used R&L to return $1100 Scaffolding. Placed the scaffolding on a pallet, taped it and secured it. The manufacturer received the scaffolding bent and destroyed. R&L says its not their fault. Who touched it last??

Drivers was the rudest POS delivery guy Ive ever dealt with.....I told the dispatcher to make sure they gave me plenty of notice before picking item up....instead this. Rude driver calls and says hell be here in 10 min....shows up in 3 instead and then tells me he doesnt wait for anybody even though its ready to go in 5 minutes.....you can be sure I will tell all of my fellow shippers to avoid these asses at all cost!....and after reading these reviews I guess I still need to worry about how they handle might shipment....on top of dealing with this guys rudeness....never again R&L

Not so gooddelivery appointments made for Monday and Wednesday missed by driver twice We waited long time past appointments then shipment was delayed again from Portlandwarehouse ?set up for this morning Friday its 11 am now we will see what time it gets here and in what shape.I am concerned loading and off loading so many times it may be an issue .will let you know.

Terrible. They give you a delivery window, don’t deliver in that window, you call, they say in the next hour, then the next then they will be there in thirty minutes, another hour passes. Do not use this service unless you have days to waste. They are three hours behind the four hour window.

Possibly the worst trucking network Ive encountered in years ....coming from a long history in trucking Ive thought I had seen it all but as for customers service if I could give zero stars I would bit unfortunately I am stuck with only the choice of one star. I could of recived my freight faster by wagon train and the pepole I spoke to in their dispatch system all 5. I might add were as lost as my freight .I am going to strongly recommend to my vendors not to use this carrier

After getting rude phone calls from the delivery person who couldnt handle locating an apartment building, my roof tent was dropped off completely smashed (notice in the pic, that is all metal that is bent) I was told multiple times customer service was gone and they will call me back. One month later and nothing. Theyre horrendous and incompetent.

Driver just left over $1000 worth of merchandise on my driveway, knocked on door then just drove off without getting required signature for delivery. Delivered outside of specified time frame. Driver did not care that he didnt get signature. Luckily merchandise was not stolen from my driveway. Do not use carrier.

Got a shipping quote, after the crate was 1/3 of the way to the destination, the quote change and I had to pay 350.00 more to continue the deliver. Delivery date changed for no reason. Not very reliable.
