Homeless people inside all the time bugging customers and what not for money. They even use the dryers to dry there shirt that they are wearing. Needs more attention to the place than just at the dry cleaners.

No Stars Actually. I read all these good and excellent reviews and wonder at my luck. I took dry cleaning to Artistic Dry Cleaners twice, intending to remove caked on mud from dry clean only suit pants cuffs and from my favorite down jacket, respectively. Both times, upon Artistic Dry Cleaners first try, the embedded mud/dirt was not removed from either article. In both cases, a discussion with the dry cleaner on whether mud/dirt was a permanent stain ensued. That discussion, properly an argument, took me scraping away the residual dirt to win my argument and displeasure at poor work. As we all know, dry cleaning costs practically as more than a clean, excellent thrift store down jacket and three suit dry cleanings almost equals the cost of the jacket with pants. Yet, even in the free followup cleaning, two days later, the jacket still retained mud stains, which I hand washed away at home later. The brilliant black down jacket looks faded. My suit trousers cuffs also had to be handed cleaned by me after the relatively expensive dry cleaning. Having an argument over the very reason for taking clothing to a dry cleaners annoyed me enough to write this note. Rather than me washing each by hand and doing an excellent job on my own . . . I chose this nearby cleaners for my clothes tagged dry clean only. I WONT GO THERE AGAIN.

Been using the laundromat for almost 10 years, off and on. Clean. Machines are well maintained. The owner is friendly and keeps it safe. I can even leave, get a coffee at Dutch, and come back and nothing has ever been stolen. Great hours, opens early. Parking is very tricky right in front. Store on the corner is super convienient for beverages and snacks while waiting.

$5.50 for dress work pants. I am always very impressed with the care and quality of the return. Very nice front lines and wrinkle free. I will only go here.

Amazing tailor! She is amazing. My pants now fit like a dream. I took three pants in and all fit me like a glove now. One pair was even covered in dog hair upon arrival, to my embarrassment, but they got it all cleaned up, not a trace left! I will go to them for all my tailoring and dry clean needs from now on! Took in Tuesday got them on Saturday, fast friendly customer service.

Ive used the coin op laundromat several times and Id recommend anyone use their service. Its cheap and the machines are maintained well. Also Ive visited Caveman Pantry, they have a wide selection of healthy alternative foods for cooking and on-the-go snacks. Im really stoked for the future for these businesses!

Its family owned by a asian couple, the wife is rude and very disrespectfulMe and my husband were coming here for around 6 months spending almost $700 a month on dry cleaning services we had a few issues lately with some things we received back and instead of them treating us like they valued our business when we came to them with the issues they told us if we dont like it or trust them we dont have to come back, and i feel to spend that kind of money a month at someones business and them tell you that you dont have to come back if you dont want to without carrying about the issue at hand at all, it would be crazy to continue spending your money there, so were gonna look for a new cleaners!! And before you drop your clothing off Be aware that 1 of The Times we dropped close off recently we said no starch no creases and when we received my husbands jeans back all of them had a hard creases down the middle including his shorts with heavy heavy starch and now the creases are now stuck in the jeans, if you know anything about creases theyre really impossible to get out once its been put there even if you get the crease flat, there will be a line down the middle of where the crease was And then we received a piece of clothing back a week after that that had oil spots or something that looks like grease stains on it belonging to my husband, Bottom line is they careless didnt offer to fix, repair or replace the items and do not appreciate our business even with us spending a little less than a $1000 a month in their business, So we will take it elsewhere

Very reliable, consistent and great overall value. Ive used them from 2006 through 2012 and THEY have always deliverd a great service. A lot of trial-and-error to find a new dry cleaner, and I have not found one yet that can come close to the level of service and value as the good folks at Artistic Cleaners. (Wish they had a location close to me now.)

At 2:39 pm I called and asked if they could dry Clean a suit jacket before they closed at 7pm, sure no problem the man said. I get there And the woman at the front counter said no he not tell you today but tomorrow. I explained what he had told me and she says no I heard him tell you tomorrow. I know this was a misunderstanding on their part because the jacket has to be cleaned and back today because I take off on the airplane in the morning at 5:45. The problem I have here is the lady was pretty rude and insistent that I was told no can do today. She said I talk this way to her because she is Chinese. That had nothing to do with it, I was told today and she called me a liar so to speak. All she and he had to say to me was were very sorry there was a misunderstanding but no have to argue with me that I was told they could not do it till tomorrow morning. Obviously if that was the case I would not have brought the suit jacket to them and wasted my time.

This is a small laundromat, located conveniently close to my home. I had a ton of laundry to get through, and opted to try this place rather than the two machines at my complex. Unfortunately this wasnt much better. They have a few large machines, all of which were being used by a family. Instead I used an entire row of smaller machines. These happened to be the same ones that my complex uses, except 1.25 more per wash (2.75).The building in general is a little run down. I suspect better ratings reflect the dry cleaning side of the business. Ill likely drive a little farther the next time for a larger facility.

My experiences at Artistic have always been great! My friends cat had peed on my jacket and I was worried about not being able to get the smell out but Artistic was able to clean it with no issues at all. The owners are friendly, courteous, and the service they provide is unmatched.

I initially picked this dry cleaners because it was the closest one to my house. Im glad it was! Very good service and very nice owners. I also use the laundromat occasionally to wash large items that dont fit in my home machine.

Dishonest and mean! We have had good experiences here for several years but something changed. We paid for alterations on 3 new suits, brought them home and my husband was unhappy with one of the pants because it had not been altered at all. Brought it in today, the woman looked at all the suits she had altered, got very defensive saying she had not ever worked on the suits and that the sowing was bad quality and not her work. She wouldnt listen to me and I ended up having to leave with her yelling out the door after me. I am appalled at the business and will never go back!

Machines need updated

I cant speak for the laundry mat side, however the dry cleaners is amazing. I took a coat in, which was missing a button. Though I didnt think to ask them to fix the button, they fixed the button and cleaned the coat for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be returning for future dry cleaning needs.

Clean and Well kept Laundromat in the heart of where Portland gets interesting, but you wouldnt know from the inside, and a convenient Dry Cleaner next door.

Artistic Cleaners and Laundromat is the anchor for a little set of shops on 82nd and SE Flavel. Ive been dropping off and picking up shirts here once a week for a little over four years. An older couple own/run the place and they are always friendly and efficient. You can pay cash or use debit/credit, no problems there. I usually return the wire hangers but unlike some cleaners back East, you do not get a discount for returning them :(. However, the shirts are always ready when they say, theyve never damaged or lost any of mine, and the cost (about $2 a shirt depending on how many you drop off) is very reasonable. They make me look sharp! (One suggestion for anyone using a cleaners regularly: get some iron-on name tags to make their job painless.)My only small complaint is related to the location. Right on 82nd, in winter transients sometimes have hung out on the side of the building nearest the laundromat and at night can be disturbing (once I was screamed at and chased to my car) but mostly my complaint, if any, is the lack of parking... with angled parking and only 2-3 slots open it can be tight. If there is none Ive used the Les Schwab lot next door. Despite that, I like these guys and the once a week inconvenience is well worth the effort they put into the results!

Washed 4 bathroom towels and bathroom carpet in small wash when cycle was done clothes still dripping wet then my daughters 3 small smiley face bed pillows drip with water too I ask owner does he have a machine to just spin he said no your fault my machines are good you dont wash towels in these machines I said anywhere else has same machine doesnt say no towels lol he just kept being rude and I just ignored him I said not coming back here if ur machine not do what they supposed to he said your problem I said OK thanks

Wish it was a clean place its always dirty spider webs they dont mop the floors they dont clean out the washing machines or the dryers so you got to clean before you and wash your clothes the service is terrible
