This place can really save you if youre houseless and need immediate resources. You can shower/ use the restroom, wash your clothes, use the phone ect and they have a clothing closet. The staff is very friendly and understanding. They treat you with so much dignity and respect. Its kind of rowdy and scheduling a shower and laundry on the same day is kinda hectic. Other than that its an amazing free resource that helps people who need it.

Sorry Poor work staff, Sloppy Management, Not people friendly. They refuse to Compromise, they neglect the Mental & Physical needs of the poor. They keep the Oppressed dirt poor. They get jealous of anyone making any progress, they dont allow you to get and maintain a job. Their SOLE PURPOSE is to keep you there and be paid a $2,000 monthly government stipin, (per person) and spend it on unhealthy, unnutritious food. They refuse to acknowledge that you need help, they refuse to pass out mail. They Refuse any hint of Cooperation. These people keep the Oppressed as they are Laboratory Slaves to be taken advantage of. We are treated like animals in a cage everyday.

The staff are truely amazing, they all so far for my family and I been very eager to help in ways theyre able to, always very kind, dont make you feel like they hate being there or their judging you, just wish they had one on one meetings with staff and clients for game plans or that there was more help then a over 2 month name on a waiting list for a shelter ya know..... But grateful for the support even if its not a solution....

They gave my mail away. They said they dont know who they gave it to. When I asked how they would make sure this was never going to happen again the staff person walked away and refused to answer. They tried to blame me, until finally admitting the staff remembered the delivery and giving it away. They said they would replace my package that was given away. Ill try to update this after I see this through further.

Im sure that the people who opened it planned on it being better, and Im sure it has helped a lot of people.. However, it really isnt right how they play favorites, skip the next person in the line (shelter, call back, etc.), to help out someone specific. Especially when they go there every single day, do what they are asked, and have a good attitude. It happens all the time, and they should help everyone they can. Not just who they feel like. It would be a great service, if it was done to its potential.

There are a lot of great people here utilizing the funds given to them to help with the homeless, displaced, mental, physical and poverty-stricken citizens here (either from or not) in Portland. thank you all for the great job that you do and helping everyone as much as you can even though sometimes there can be a lot of negative energy floating around but you guys always tell them too keep the positive energy and itll make the other stuff go away you guys are great keep up the good work!! Lots of veteran staff here who has seen just about everything twice!

Transitions Project staff let me down so severely I honestly lost my will to live for awhile. They told me I was to receive a housing grant where I only had to pay 30% of my income and the grants covered the rest. I was ecstatic. So shocked that I would receive something so amazing, so happy that I was not going to be a statistic of homelessness and disability any longer. I went ahead and applied at several apartment complexes and got accepted at my dream apartment building! But the grants never came to fruition and a year later, Im still just a statistic of homelessness. Furthermore, there are many staff members here that should NOT be working with the homeless, and should NOT be working with the general public at all, for that matter. The staff ALMOST ALWAYS do whats best for THEM, NOT whats best for the people they serve. I had a staff member try to tell me how it was BETTER FOR THE HOMELESS PEOPLE that they were cutting their hours from 7 AM-7 PM down to 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. NO, cutting the hours of a DAY CENTER back that much isnt beneficial to ANYONE except the LAZY EMPLOYEES WHO WORK THERE. How unintelligent must you be to believe that a day center for the homeless benefits the homeless by allowing them access to their resources LESS hours in a day? Come on TPI, just because a lot of people there are on drugs doesnt mean theyre stupid...

This place is a bit rough - watch your wallet and phone -but the staff really is helpful and they have more resources for odd ball things than other places. They helped me get a birth certificate and I don’t have a drug or alcohol problem. I was definitely impressed how hard the staff worked to help me,but I won’t lie ***the place and many of the patrons are just plain scary. 🙁

This is a place where u can do several things like, shower, do laundry, get clothes, they have different things at times like tents and sleeping bags, hygiene products, p.o box, TB testing free, computers for job searching and resume building. Coffee, plug in for electronics, and different shelter info plus so much more but u have to sign up for things so be ready to wait. Front desk is first stop. Staff is helpful and real and very observant so its safe feeling there. Everyone has a story just remember that:)

Tpi in portland oregon only focus is drug users and alcoholics that is it. I am currently homeless but when I was working 50 hours a week and had prof that I was working I asked the housing stephany if I could get help to get into a place. Her answer was a straight no then I asked a supervisor emily and she said they dont help people like menames

Its just another place for those that are homeless. The majority dont care if theyre on the streets. So you have to wade thru the addicts, those who havent showered in ??? Not somewhere I would want to be after dark.

Staff actually withhold information and deny resources others we know got the day before. Like a specialist to communicate needed help that you have to apply for but they dont know what your talking about or lists for housing they say they dont help with and to call 211 or home forward; which i believe is the same place now. Definitely discrimination on the daily or major lack of care to help. The staff always seem like they hate there lifes and do the absolute bare minimum to get you oit of line as fast as possible. But it is free service so what do you ecpect but phones that dont work and staff that lose intrest.

Every time i go here its like going theough a gauntlet of garbage and harassment to even talk to someone who will barely look at me let alone listen and smile. lots of sexual harassment and aggression in general constantly. not a friendly place for women at all. the cops come theough periodically and sweep as well as arrest random people.
