I have a regular barber, but needed a cut when she wasnt available. I had a great experience there. $11 for most cuts, quick & friendly. Definitely an old school barber shop experience, and Id go back again in a heartbeat. Great cut, great price, great experience all the way around. Highly recommend!

Barber was very friendly! He is in 70s and still cutting hair. Lived in Portland all his life can tell you alot about the city. He did a great job cutting hair.

This barber shop is a step back in time, right down to the jar of Barbicide. $10- haircuts for seniors. Not for everyone, but I love this barber shop for the nostalgia it induces, and the haircuts are good too! I would advise calling ahead, as I have found that occasionally the shop is inexplicably closed during posted business hours.

The Good: Old school barbershop, conveniently located on Congress street near Longfellow square. Barber was nice, old guy, who was very chatty. Hair cut was $12.The Bad: The barber did a terrible job cutting my hair. I asked for a #3 clipper on the sides, scissors on top. The barber eyeballs the clippers and does not use guards. He is not consistent at all, so one side of my head had hair that was 2 inches long, the other side buzzed all the way down. I had to ask him twice to shorten the top, which all he did in response was cut the hair above my forehead really short and left the rest of the top of my head untouched. The Ugly: The barber does not clean his comb or clippers in between cuts, so I had the last guys hair combed into my hair and fall in my face. Very unsanitary. The barber’s station hasn’t been cleaned in a long time and has quite a bit of old hair building up on it.I highly recommend against going here. I will not be going back.
