Vo has been around for a long time, 30 plus years and he loves what he does has worked very hard. My grandpa turned me on to him, hes the most reasonably priced and honest shop Ive ever been to.

This is the best shop I have found in the Portland area. Vo is honest, does only what is needed and charges less than other shops. Ive been a happy customer for years.

Took the car there because speed perimeter wasn’t working and they took hours and took $87 for nothing they didn’t even fixed it or anything and when he came back they said they had to contact someone and ask for the price because they had to get a whole new dashboard and then they weren’t calling so I called them and then later when they called me back they said I had to take it to the dealership because they didn’t had to computer to fix it but then after few days I changed the battery and everything worked perfectly

My car was finished within the day. Good service and stayed within the quote. Have recommended them to friends.

Been taking my cars here for years. Hes super honest which in itself makes it significantly cheaper then anywhere else Ive gone. Prices are a little higher now that hes in a new building but it makes sense since the facilities seem a lot nicer. I cant say it enough, having a mechanic that you actually are able to trust that doesnt try to use fear to upsell you on every filter, blinker fluid top off etc. Will even tell you if its cheaper for you to find your own used part for them to install. Only possible negative thing I can think of is there is a mild language barrier at times over the phone but maybe its just me either way I dont care Im still coming back

Just came in, was told a price on the phone came in and priced increased by $500 dollars . Because apparently they were going to do extra stuff when I only asked for one thing .

Engine light was on. They cleared the code and said they couldnt find anything and I could take the car. Next day engine light went on again.

Wow! Life saver! My RVs cab A/C stopped working, rather blowing warm air. I tried to recharge it myself but it only got the clutch to engage, then disengage, so it wouldnt cool down. I knew I had a leak. I was on a tight deadline to get it fixed as we were going camping in 4 days and it was going to be 90 degrees so it would have been a miserable drive! I called several other places and they couldnt help in time. I went to this place and while their faculty couldnt handle an RV technically the owner talked to me and I think he could see I was desperate to attempt to get a fix done ASAP. He helped me pull it in to his facility as best as we could fit it and he did a leak test on the AC unit. Found the leaks and replaced the valves and leaked tested again, found it was fixed. He recharged my AC and I was back in business! Now I could tolerate driving it in this 90 degree weather! Mind you he did this work based on me just driving up and having no appointment. He literally squeezed me in between other cars he was working on and he was short staffed that day. I cant say enough positive things about this place. By the way the cost was absolutely reasonable. I would have spent more on two recharge cans of AC freon from an auto store. I will be returning! If you want an honest answer and honest repair done to your car for a fair price, then you need to give Vo your business!

I am always treated fairly, with professionalism and honesty that seems to be rare in this business. Also, I am never left without my car for long. They provide fast, friendly and professional services and they do it right. I have NEVER had a complaint about the work, the workers, the owner or his wife. Good price but if you need any major work done do not look forward to getting your vehicle back the same day, I recently had a Catalytic Converter put on my 06 Ford Explorer and it took them about 6 hours total due to a couple hiccups along the way but in the end they did a great job, it took them 2 days to finish because of the original start time and issues but for the great price I was quoted I really cant complain much, Id definitely use them again thanks guys

Phenomenal work!! Went in for brake pads and had no idea my rotors were shot as well. Other shops wanted around $300 just for the brake pads but Vos did that and the rotors for less. They even were patient while waiting for parts to be delivered and finished the job as quickly as they could. I really appreciate their great work and budget friendly prices.

Brought my car in for a clicking noise in my engine that was getting progressively worse. I was told the noise was coming from my motor mounts. They quoted me the price of 420.00 dollars to change out two of my motor mounts. After the service was done I drive off their lot just to hear the same annoying sound. I drive straight back tell them the sound was never resolved. I have a mechanic ride along and leave the vehicle another day. They dont call. I call them and they say that I have to much oil in my car and that they THINK it is a timing chain issue. What is funny is that THEY replaced my timing chain, belt, and tensioner two years and 20,000 miles ago and a 1000.00 out of pocket. I bring all my concerns up and absolutely no concessions are made and they just argue their point. I feel like I was taken and I wont do business with them. Poor customer relations! Update: I towed my vehicle to another mechanic to resolve the matter and he found out that I had practically no oil. All they had to do was put oil in my car. If they cared they would of taken me seriously and looked into it. Also it would have been little out of pocket to make a happy satisfied customer. Pure negligence....

They always err on the side of frugality which I deeply appreciate (although they will do whatever work you ask them to do and they will do it quickly and well).10 years of my loyal patronage and Im sure Ill be giving them many more!

If you take your car somewhere else you are getting ripped off. I can not say enough good things about Vos Auto Repair. I took my car there once because I thought the power steering pump was dead. Turns out it was just a belt. They could have charged me for a new pump etc... but instead they charged me for the part ($5.00) and 20 MINUTES of labor. The car was done fast and right. They are wonderful. Ive had lots of other work there and have been equally impressed every time. If there is one bad thing to say, I would like to see his English improve as communication can be a little bit challenging. They more than make up for it in service and quality. Awesome shop.

They were extremely helpful. Im one of those people that knows NOTHING about cars. No I mean literally nothing. I never feel stupid or taken advantage of. They work on my car pretty much same day and the prices are extremely reasonable. The work was done well and for a reasonable price.

Just got my intake manifold replaced (2011 Golf GTI) for 1/3 of the price of competitive shops. I know its high quality work since my dad has been going to Vo for the last 15 years and he is always pleased with his work.Quality work, Unbeatable Prices and all done in a timely manner.Very pleased with the service and believe they have found a life-time customer! :)

They were very cordial, and did the work promptly and at a good price. However the job wasnt properly done.I had them replace the differential cover gasket. Over the next few months the differential began slipping and grinding. After researching, I discovered the problem was caused by insufficient lubricant and the lack of a friction modifier being installed.I ended up having to fill the differential myself and discovered it was about 1 1/2 quarts low. Further, I noticed on the invoice that they had charged me $10.00 for a quart of fluid. I had asked if they changed the fluid or did they use the old fluid and he told me they changed the fluid. I found out later that the capapcity was actually 3 quarts, not 1 as I was charged. Obviously they used what was left of the original fluid, which is why it was more than a quart low. It shows they are incompetent or negligent, or both.

If I could give them NO stars, I would! Their frontline person was rude and didnt care that I wanted to speak to the mechanic and refused to take my phone # ...I was having a lousy day, I started crying and sat down...only then did she lower her voice and began trying to help me... I pulled myself together and left.

This is definitely my new shop for LIFE! VOS IS AWESOME!!! Very VERY nice staff extremely knowledgeable, quick service, no drawn out work times, and they show you exactly what part(s) they will be buying and what price they will get it for! Had me in and out FAST when my tensioner pulley broke off while driving- lost the pulley and belt on the road and the tensioner itself was damaged beyond repair. Friday about noon they had a full garage and parking lot when I got towed over to them and STILL they said they would have it fixed TODAY BEFORE HE TOOK HIS LUNCH!! Even said if I couldnt wait around or make it back before close I could leave it there for the weekend and come pay and collect my van on monday- and that it would be no more than an hour of labor and a $69.99 part plus a new belt and pulley! I picked up my van just after lunchtime and paid under 200 dollars TOTAL! Ive been to many many other shops that I know from experience would have said oooooh yeah your tensioner is toast- pulley is gone we will have to research the original blah blah blah maybe keep it over night and at least a few hours labor oh and the parts will be a few hundred.... NOT AT VOS!!!!!!!!

There is no mechanic more honest & trustworthy than Vo. Many times he never even charged me for things he did. Very reasonable rates, excellent work & you know you will always get the straight scoop with whats wrong with your car. Ive been using Vo for years & will never go anywhere else again.Cant say enough good things about him.

Professional, Quality, Knowledgable and HONEST... what more can you say about a place of business?But I will because today we saved $3,999.11 by calling him.Ive known Vo since he first started over 20 years ago and he has ALWAYS completed the project under the cost of everyone else. In fact, if he cant fix it, he knows other Professionals just like him who can do quality work at a competitive price. My Wife took our 95 F-250 truck into Suburban Auto in Sandy who had a coupon for an oil change. We received a call saying our transmission was gone and the instrument panel needed to be replaced at a cost of $4000.00 for both. We knew the Speedometer and odometer wasnt working and the transmission shifted real hard, but we needed our truck. I told her to call Vo, who said his transmission work is now done by Corys Transmissions. She called Cory explaining the situation and before she could finish her sentence he interrupted and said its a $0.89 fuse. Sure enough, I changed the fuse and the Instrument Panel and the transmission worked fine.AGAIN.... Professional, Quality, Knowledgable and HONEST!

Called a week ago to make an appointment to get a quote for fixing our rack and pinion, told to come in on the 5th at any time of day to get our car inspected and a quote for the repair cost.we just went in and were told oh Vos on lunch so we asked when would be a good time to come back, oh no not today, were bookedso we basically made an appointment and waited a week for nothing. unbelievably rude. huge waist of time
