I’ve been taking my cars to Steve’s Imports for years and have had nothing but a great experience every time! I like that it is a family owned and operated business that takes pride in taking care of their customers and providing great service at a good price. Whether it be for body work after an accident (can’t even tell where I was hit! See photos), major mechanical work or a simple oil change and tune up, I feel confident that the work will be done right and done efficiently and that they are being honest with me along the way. Tommy helped me FREE of charge getting my 320 CLK convertible Mercedes backseat head rest down, and if this has ever happened to you than you know this is a pain in the a$$. Mice decided to use my 2008 Porsche Boxters engine and exhaust for a latrine. What an awful smell. Took it to SI and they cleaned it and it smells great again. Thank you SI for an outstanding job.

I brought my sprinter van to Steve’s imports to get tuned up and looked over after a 3,000 mile drive and they were great! They were very easy to get in touch with. John went out of his way to get my van to the lot. They did a thorough inspection. I was able to talk to Sam, the tech, who explained everything to me. Upon picking it up they were very personable and answered all of my questions and pulled Sam in to explain a few other things. The van is running great and I feel at ease after bringing it to them. Called 20 min before our scheduled appointment (made over a week prior) to tell us they didn’t have the diagnostic equipment for our 2014 i3 and needed to re-schedule. We canceled and went to Boyd instead. Glad we caught this red flag early.

From the front desk staff to mechanics: everyone employed here was prompt, professional, courteous and kind.We had a terrible vehicle breakdown on our Volvo SUV and had it towed to Steve’s Imports. They would call us for approval on any maintenance needed and worked with our difficult warranty company directly to get us as much money back as possible, AND followed up with us a week later to see how things were going.We’ve been looking for honest and reliable mechanics for quite some time now, and we found that in Steve’s Imports.

As an individual that grew up with a Dad, that was a mechanic, it has been difficult now that he is unable to work on cars to find a mechanic that I trust. My family has always driven VWs or BMWs, so I have a decent understanding of how those two makes function. (I currently have a 2000 Jetta.)I recently paid around $700 to have a Honest One, shop do some repairs after a check engine light registered on my car. They claimed they had mechanics with the knowledge to work on an import. In the end, the engine repairs they completed, made my engine worse than it was when I brought it in. Their lead tech/manager, even admitted to me, when I picked up my car it was, Running worse after the repairs they made, then when I brought it in.More disconcerting was the fact the same manager kept justifying their ineptitude for the botched repairs by saying the following statements. Volkswagen parts are expensive. Volkswagens are difficult to work on. Somehow in his mind, that seemed to justify their inability to not only fix my car, but also charge me the $700 in parts and labor for a failed engine repair and the issues, Honest One, made worse. They spilled grease all over my engine in the process of cleaning my throttle body and the oil dipstick tube they installed, was not flush with the engine.So pleased today with the service that has been provided to me by Steves Imports! They have been so amazing at fixing the things the last shop claimed to know how to fix, but clearly made worse. I will never take my car anywhere else. If you are looking for a truly honest, reputable shop that treats women as equals, look no further. I seriously cannot thank John and everyone that is getting my Jetta repaired today!!!Looking forward to ONLY doing business with Steves Imports from this point forward. If you have an import car, forget the dealership, you should go see these folks!

We have had lots of work done on both our vehicles at Steves and they always give us the very best service. We totally trust them and they have never steered us wrong (no pun intended). I have also had Steves look at cars I was thinking of buying to make sure I was making the right decision. Again, but customer service ever and totally trustworthy advice! I highly recommend them!!

This is a clean shop with excellent facilities that has been family owned since 1976. I took my car in to get some body repair work done and my car was fixed up to better than pre-loss condition. They also advised me about some additional damage that was not visible at the time of the estimate so I could have everything fixed right and not have to worry about it later. As a customer who prefers to do business with privately owned businesses instead of a franchise I appreciate the fact that this is a family owned business that knows how to take good care of their customers. If you ever need any body work done on your car whether the job is big or small do yourself a favor and take it to these guys. They are awesome.

My clutch went out right before Christmas. I managed to get it in on Christmas Eve, and they had me back on the road before New Years. I have put almost 7k miles on the new clutch, and it is running great.

Brought my 2007 E class for diagnostics,John Burns was great explained every detail of the process,very knowledgeable on mercedes engines Im very impressed will definently be going back.

This shop overcharges for parts and labor. It’s actually cheaper to go to a VW dealership and get work done, no joke. Do yourself a favor and avoid this shop like the plague. Do a quick google search for 2002 Jetta Headlight. You will see several option ranging from $39- $160 for both headlight assemblies. This shop quoted me $350 per side for parts alone. The quality of the work they do is sub-par. I’ve taken the car in twice. Once they broke a part of the car (door handle) and blamed me saying it was already broken. Once they stated they repaired something (suspension) and refused to back the quality of their work when I tried to point out days after getting it back that the repair job didn’t actually repair the issue. Stay away from this place.

I took my BMW e30 to this shop for a suspension overhaul. They were upfront with the quote and they were constantly in communication with me. They even finished my car early and let me know about a crack in my radiator!When I got back into my e30 and drove it home I couldnt stop smiling and saying it was worth every penny. First time I have brought my 05 Subaru STi to these guys and they did a fantastic job. Had them do things ranging from valve cover gaskets to rear taillight seals and a lot in between. and I gotta say, I am very pleased with the work that was done. This was my first time into Steves Imports. I brought in my Honda Civic for an oil change and was impressed with the friendly customer service, great pricing and quick services. They also did a courtesy inspection for free to let me know of any upcoming issues! I will be coming back for future repairs.

At my request, my 2008 BMW 335i was first taken to Steve’s Imports (SI) by a car dealer for a pre-buyers inspection back in March of last year. After that, for comparative purposes, I had complete vehicle inspections done on my car from the Kuni BMW dealership, as well as from another authorized BMW service center called Accurate Motorwerks. Since then, with the exception of two separate oil changes done at Kuni BMW and BMW Portland, SI has been the sole provider in performing any necessary maintenance to my car. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Since day one, I felt well taken care of. This is a business that truly cares about their customers and it shows. From discounts on repairs (which is already a discount in comparison to dealerships), to the timeliness and promptness of correspondence, to meeting the unrealistic expectation of getting my car back from repairs the same day, to giving a free car wash after every repair, to offering a loaner car, to offering to store my car indoor overnight, this place has accommodated me, or attempted to accommodate me, in every way. Coming from somebody who is untrusting of people in general, and much more untrusting of places that service automobiles, I can now say without reservation that I completely trust SI, their staff, and their mechanics. SI uses BMW Technical Service Bulletins (TSB), which means that if your car has a very specific symptom, there could potentially be a corresponding TSB. When your vehicle is serviced with the guidance of these TSB’s, it is done so in a very efficient and systematic way, and one in which can save you a lot of money, which I have personally experienced multiple times, the last of which only required for my spark plugs and coils to be changed out after diagnosing a check engine light. In addition, SI only uses Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, which are built by the company that initially made the parts for the auto manufacturer. These OEM parts have a much longer expected longevity than aftermarket parts, are optimally designed to outperform, and they are warrantied as well. Also, every repair comes with a warranty that covers you for 2 years, or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, which in and of itself is enough to give you peace of mind. To top it off, their customer service is so personable and caring, that they feel like family. To John Burns, Kayla, John Spinnett and the mechanics, I say a heartfelt thank you. I’ll be seeing you.

Another great experience at Steves Imports! I used to be a gear head back in the days of points and condenser but the complex systems in my Mini Cooper means I have to trust someone else to look after it for me. Happily, the techs at Steves inspect the entire car during servicing and make notes of their findings for discussion.....this can help avoid future catastrophic failures.When I drive my car out of Steves I am confident I have given it the best chance for a long life......thanks!Brian

This is my second visit to Steve’s Imports, and I’m extremely impressed. I own a diesel Sprinter van with significant modification. They are the only shop I’ll let work on it—bad experiences elsewhere tell me it’s important to have folks who know their stuff working on the rig. The work I’ve had done here was significant and expensive, but an excellent value and I know it’s done correctly, making it probably less expensive than having a second-rate shop tinkering on a vehicle with which they aren’t familiar. One shop visit done right is way better than two or three done poorly, especially since I loose income whenever my van is down. I went to Steves for an estimate for scheduled maintenance on my Prius. I called on of the larger dealers for an estimate that same time, and by the way, have not heard back about that. The customer service at Steves was better than any dealer Ive worked with in four states from one end of the country to this one. The work was performed in the time as planned and all is good. I recommended Steves to a family member who wanted an estimate for an extensive list of repairs and maintenance items on an older van. The estimate was right on and the work was done on time for her to make a trip to eastern Oregon with her young daughter and not worry while on unpaved roads in the Blue Mountains. Thanks. I recently had an accident and needed body work done. The service here was great. I was informed throughout the entire process, received help with a loaner car, and it was a smooth process all across the board. I was helped during an emergency water pump failure. The guys did a thorough job and inspected my car for possible future issues - much appreciated. They didnt push me to do optional maintenance, but I did return when I had the funds and was pleased with the work...and the chocolate!

I recently had my 2013 4runner serviced at Steves Imports. I liked that I can get factory toyota parts without the inflated price of the dealership while maintaining my factory warranty. I also appreciate I was able to schedule quickly instead of waiting a week and a half. I would recommend Steves for service and repair.

Update, still outstanding service. Car washed, vacuumed, and and tire air adjusted as well as wiper fluid re filled no charge. First classMy Honda Civic was making grinding sounds from the front brakes. Steves did a hardware kit, brake pad kit, rotors, 30 point inspection, and made me 7 estimates on additional things. I only paid just over $500 for everything. Seemed very fair.

Helpful fellas over here at Steves. Was treated with respect and thoroughly explained to what each part was and how it effected my running problems. They acknowledge my budget and helped me with figuring how to go about fixing one issue at a time. Even though my car is barely worth anything at least I can rely on it and not have to have a car payment.

A great warm environment and trust worthy shop. Pretty cool experience but I had a quote for repairs that they matched while still using good quality parts. Another issue was my washer fluid that wasnt working, which I had scheduled for the replacement of my pump, and when they removed it and were able to fix it, they did it without even charging me. I have never had this kind of automotive service before.

I am a first time import car owner and decided to use Steves Imports for my first maintenance check. I was treated very courteously by John when making my appointment and dropping off my car. The shop itself is clean and all communications made me feel comfortable and cared for as a customer. I was notified that my car was ready well within the time promised. To my surprise, they even gave it a wash, which it needed very badly! I would highly recommend this business.

Outstanding work on my Macan Turbo, highly recommended for Porsche owners. This shop is surrounded of Porsche lovers technicians you can tell. They are working continuously on older and newer models Porsche with a passion that is rare those days. The work on my Macan was challenging and they found others imperfections on the other door panels, they didn’t want to leave a job that looks unfinished so they fix everything with a perfect paint job and a deep glossy clear coat. I am a Porsche fan and extremely picky with details, I can guarantee you this is the place that we all which to know...

As always, I had a great experience with Steves Imports. I brought in our Kia for its 100,000 mile maintenance (as well as checking up on everything that could be wrong with an older used car). The staff at Steves addressed my concerns and took care of everything quickly and efficiently. The found a couple of things I did not know about and kept me informed so I could decide what they should do and what to defer. For the items I put off, they did NOT try to push me to use them instead of someone else, letting their professionalism and great service speak for itself.

Can tell car is driving much better, quote was spot on to what I was charged which seamed reasonable even though I have never paid to do this type of repair before. Free ride to and fro was a huge plus and everyone was over the top friendly. Very good service the free car to borrow was a big plus only downside is they arent always available.

Great Experience with staff and timely repair. There is a reason why this place is always staying so busy. Steve has integrity and honors his word. I had one minor misunderstanding on my last visit and they remedied it no problem at all. This shop employs good people.

As a Sprinter owner, it isnt always easy to find a shop that both knows how to work on my vehicle and how to do it in an appropriate manner. I took my van in for a check engine light, and the shop kept me up to date on the progress. Sounds simple enough, but these things can be notorious with modern diesels. While they waited for parts to come in, they even greased the door hinges, fixed a couple odds and ends, and gave it a solid wash. Once the sensors came in, my van decided that it wanted to have more issues. The shop realized that a new fuel filter might fix the issue at a fraction of the cost, saving me a heap of dough. Ill definitely be back

I did a lot of research on Volvo repair shops. After reviewing 8 shops I came here. It was a great experience. They have a nice warranty on their work/parts, they were 20% cheaper than all the other shops, the facility is very clean and professional, and so far the repairs fixed all the issues. I will be returning.

Sincere people that want to work with you. I’ve had only the best time xperience with my Toyota and the don’t gouge you on price. I know I’m not “big spender” however they treat me as well as the next guy. I would highly recommend them and the mechanics that I’ve met personally are very kind and helpfull and willing to take the time to show me what’s going on with my engine.

John and his team at Steves Imports helped me out in a pinch with a drivers side door handle that wouldnt open from the outside. They were able to get my car in quickly and locate a matching handle for my vehicle. Everything was fast and easy and staff is super friendly!

I recommend these guys for anything Porsche related. They are car guys, honest and very capable. On top of that they are friendly! They have worked on a half dozen Porsches of mine for the last dozen years. Everything from simple service to window out restoration. Highly recommend!

My best garage experience was likely my previous experience at Steves. Ill admit I do not have a vehicle most auto shops enjoy working on,your car wont fit in our shop, or we cant lift it or only a couple of the concerns other shops give. But Steves took my car in with smiles on their faced. Everyone I worked with was such a delight the whole entire time.

I brought in my 97 CRV for some scary clunking noises under my car! The front office was very accommodating and the service staff was awesome. They got to my car in a timely manner and were very fair. They replaced some control arms and struts. Now my car feels brand new! Thank you guys. I highly recommend this place for honestly and fairness.

Took my car in for a water pump. Weeks and weeks later got a call saying I got good news and bad. Good news is we fixed your water pump. Bad news is we caught your car on fire. Yes. FIRE! So, after months of waiting. I go to pick it up. Not assembled properly. And still clearly evidence that she burned.And the timing chain went out in the mean time which they clearly claim no fault. And after all the song and dance. I just sold it to them. Worst customer service ever. No ethics or morals. Could I have small claims them? Sure. But I shouldnt have had to even think about it

Most appreciative of John for helping me with my truck. He took time out of his day to help me with my suspension which would have otherwise caused exponential damage while driving. Then to top it off he didnt even charge me for his time. Very glad to know a guy like John Burns.

I have taken my car in on 3 separate occasions so far since Dec 2014-March 2017 due to a plethora of mechanical issues. Both Tony and John were very Knowledgeable, friendly, and great to work with.They worked with me to set up a game plan to have my work done in stages so that I could tackle the most critical stuff first. The best part is they provide loaner vehicles while your work is being done. AND when I got my car back each time it was washed and vacuumed! 🙌🏼The Spinnet Family who owns the company are truly a blessing. Had my wife drop of our Porsche Cayenne a few month ago for a diagnostic of a check engine light and engine vibration. A cheap scanner was showing cylinder 2 misfire. Front counter guy called me later that day and said I needed a high pressure fuel pump replaced($1,700.00!), and a $230.00 oil change. No mention of ignition coil at all. Said it would take 3 days. I told him I didnt want to do the repair, as I was suspecting an ignition problem with cylinder 2. He got aggressive and told me I would be stranded on the side of the road if I drove the car. Payed $106 for diagnostic and left. Replaced a $50 ignition coil on cylinder 2 and have had no problems ever since, car runs perfect. Luckily I was only out $106 with this shop. They were either incompetent or were out to get my money.

Well that was unexpected. I had a headlight out on my Subaru and a hectic day. My partner tried changing the light but Subarus can be annoyingly complicated, so I tried to find a place that would take me same day.Steves got me in quickly and I settled down to eat my lunch. I wasnt even half way through my burger when someone came in to the waiting area and handed me my keys. Huh? Other places tried to give me appointments later in the week and wanted the car there for at least an hour. Not Steves! They took care of me immediately and had me back on the road with a half eaten burger. Fantastic!Im glad I stumbled upon this place. Everyone I talked to was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Now I also know where to go in the future.

Saved me during my freak cooling system breakdown. Luckily my car didnt do any major permanent damage and Steves didnt try to take advantage of the situation nor did they try to get me to fix a bunch of things that didnt need fixing. Am quite I pressed with the overall experience.

This hands down the worst place possible you can go for your vehicle. I was in an accident last Oct. They had told me my total cost in damage was about $5,200. No problem. So after them having my car for about 2 months, they finally call and let me know its all done. NOTHING LINED UP! My hood was off by at lest a 1/4 inch. Window was still cracked, my day time running lights werent even in my car anymore, oh and not to mention they left clamps on it to hold the frame together....I had found this out by taking my vehicle in to get a newer car. Well when they inspected my car all of these things were found. If I could give these guys negative stars I would. DONT EVER GO HERE!!!!!!!

They fixed my car and did a good job. I have to say I was overcharged for parts and labor. After making a review letting them know I was overcharged the owner Steve called me and made things right. He refunded me a decent amount and Im very pleased he reached out to me to make things right. They are great mechanics and friendly. I have been to them before (with my BMW) and the last time I went was the only bad experience (Subaru) I would still recommend them to anyone with an imported car. Overall I still am pleased with them and that they made things right. Thank you Steve for reaching out and making things right. I hope we can do business again without the same hurdles.

The staff at Steves Imports Inc greeted us with a smile when receiving our surprise engine breakdown just before Thanksgiving. Not only was everyone on staff welcoming, but honest, thorough and their services are competitively priced. They repaired our car in a respectful timeframe and returned it to us sparkling clean. I would certainly recommend them to anyone in need of work on their Subaru.

Best shop ever very cool people. Helped me and my friend out with with his Benz that I had recently bought from him. Car had some really big problems and ran really bad. Steve Imports got it running smooth just be adjusting the gas fuel and a few other things. Was way less than what I was quoted at another shop to fix it. And it didnt take long at all. Drop it off Monday night and get it next day. Really good customer services.

They are the best place to have work done, always amazing service and they go above and beyond for making sure its quality work. Ive had them do several of the repairs for my Volkswagen and would totally recommend them for anyone looking for an auto body shop or mechanic. Steve’s Imports is the only place I bring my BMW for maintenance. They have a very knowledgeable and experienced team. The turnover is quick and they’re very friendly — I’m always greeted with a warm-welcome.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Absolutely the worst company Ive ever done business with. I tell everyone I know not to take their car here. Not only did they not repair my car properly, but tried to charge me THE DAY I got my car back for service lights that popped up that were not there before I brought my car in. I came here based on good reviews, and for that Im very sad. They ruined my car.

My Subaru has not had to best luck this last month. Currently Im dealing with insurance companies and setting up repairs. Working with Steves Imports has been such a stress-reliever for me, not only with getting the repairs done but also for excellent consulting on how to deal with post-accident insurance matters. I highly recommend Steves! During the biggest torrential downpour of 2015 I drove through a large puddle that stalled my car. After towing the vehicle to Steves for evaluation, they found that the Engine,Turbo,Transmission,Starter and various other parts needed replacement. Steves worked seamlessly with my insurance company and handled the whole project from start to finish. Brian at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with and regularly called me with updates on the progress of the repairs. If you have an import vehicle that needs attention I highly recommend giving Steves Imports a call.

Such a great overall experience with my GLK Mercedes. This was at least my 3rd time in over the last year and a half and the service is consistent and my car is done usually with 1 or two days depending on what service is due. This last visit was seemless and I got my car back fast, and the below average labor rate makes it possible for me to afford to keep a luxury car and in good shape. Tony was very knowledgeable and knew more about my car than I did and was also very helpful and nice to deal with.

Fantastic place for getting the BMW readied for summer. Waiting to hear back to see if and how well they work on Porsche but so far so very impressed with the knowledge and craftsmanship of the mechanics at this garage. You can tell a lot about what kind of fluids a shop keeps on the shelf. These guys dont use the cheep gas station shop universal fluids but they use specific coolant, trannsmission fluid, and hydrolic fluid meant for German vehicles. I think I found a good shop.

When I went to pick up my car from being serviced, I had to take an Uber there. It took sometime for me to get picked up, and traffic was horrible. I feared I may not make it before they closed. John stayed 35 minutes late to ensure I got to pick up my car that day. Excellent service!!!

Made an appointment with Anthony for servicing a Smart Car. I mentioned that I would be bringing an air filter to have installed during the service.When I arrived at check-in, mentioned the transmission not always engaging and how this was listed as a common symptom. The person at the counter gave me a blank stare and said that he had never heard of that issue before. I informed him that it is actually listed on their website as a common symptom which was followed by a blank stare, again.I received a call later in the afternoon from Anthony to let me know that it would be an additional $70 to install the air filter which I had informed him when I made the appointment! I found this charge to be too high and asked him to not install it. He then asked me if I was going to install it myself!!

Had Steves Imports fully and thoroughly inspect a car I was hoping to purchase. I am out state and relied heavily upon thei expertise. It was probably the best $150 I have ever spent, as the car was deemed unsafe and full of major rust among other major deal breakers!Thank you guys, from having me almost buy a lemon of a vehicle even though owner said the opposite.Highly recommend Steves for candid and mechanically sound pre-inspections of vehicles!!Mega thanks for saving me thousands of dollars!!!

A good Mechanic is much like a good Doctor. You need to be able to trust their judgement and be confident in their skills to take care of you. Well .. Steves Imports has my trust!They seemed very honest. After talking to several mechanics in town Steves was the first to advise me that not all the repairs where necessary and made a list of the items that were needed for my safety, nothing extra.All the work was done in one day and the total cost was much less than the other quotes I received. To makes things better they washed the outside of my car and vacuumed and dusted my dash.My only complaint is they only vacuumed the front. If you have the vacuum in the car already why not just get the back as well?To conclude, I will only be taking my car to Steves from now on and I have recommended them to all my family and friends.
