They have always gotten me in right away and gotten whatever I needed fixed, efficiently and properly! I have gone there over the years for everything from new starters to new batteries!

My battery wouldnt hold a charge, they checked it to make sure of the problem, and changed it. Hard to reach spot on my Chrysler 300, after a lot of sweat equity and consultation with the senior specialist they succeeded!

I wont ever patronize this local business again - in my experience they are dishonest, and they are thieves. Approximately 2 years ago I was tasked with replacing the battery in my Aunts 2002 Toyota Camry- I went to the battery specialists store on 112th and Powell blvd because they are nearby, and I was trying to support local business. I requested their highest quality new battery, as I did not want my Aunt to have any trouble on the road; price was not a consideration, and I told them that. I purchased a battery from them at that time, and they told me about the 2 year free replacement warranty, and prorated for 60 months. At the time of sale I was given a hand written carbon copy type receipt with no written documentation of the warranty, or warranty policy; naively I assumed that since the battery had the Battery Specialists logo in huge print across one side and the top of the battery, and the manufacturing date stickers were plainly visible, AND I punched out the purchase date tabs on that sticker before I left the store with the new battery that if warranty was needed, all the relevant information was right there. What a joke of a battery. It seemed to crank the car over slowly from day one. About 6 months later I got the call from Auntie that her car was not starting. Upon investigating, the battery was sitting at almost 9 volts. Auntie admitted that she hadnt driven or started the car in about a month, but a quality battery shouldnt have died in month. I used my Fluke multimeter to perform an inline parasitic amperage draw test on the car after charging the battery overnight, and it was/is fine- the car is only drawing like 15 milliamps when sitting. I also verified that the alternator was charging appropriately, and it was/is- 13.8 to 14.1 volts engine running. Since then, I had to jump start her and charge the battery two more times until last week the battery simply would not take a charge. No problem I figure- this is what warranties are for, and bad batteries occasionally happen. I removed it and hauled it back to the shop, not even thinking about the cheesy reciept from the day I purchased it. Well, these guys didnt care about anything else. Without that I was told, no warranty whatsoever; their premium battery with the manufacturing date and purchased date stickers clearly visible is worth nothing but a core to them. Its not like the battery was some different brand, or the cheapest bargain model or something- it obviously has their logo and the two stickers from the factory with a 2019 date on them. No reciept, no warranty. They were quite condescending, or rude as well. I asked them one last time if they would give me ANYTHING towards a new battery, not even asking for a free replacement, as was mandated by the stated warranty. Nope was the answer, so I told them Ill go elsewhere and they just permanently lost a potentially good customer forever. I went to Les Schwab and got Auntie their 84 month battery; and even though Im certain I wont be needing it, they dont play games with warranty service when something is wrong.Edit/ Addendum; clarification after seeing owners response: regarding the manufacturers date code sticker, I am referring to the small, round, color coded, date of manufacture sticker placed on ALL lead acid car batteries, in this case it was on the top of the battery case. This is important, because it could be used to pro-rate the battery value towards a replacement in a worst case scenario, such as a customer not having the purchase receipt. Obviously this favors the retailer as the battery obviously would have been purchased some time after it was made, but it at least establishes the earliest date which a prorating warranty could be honored in the absence of the exact date. Second, I am referring to the other sticker present on the majority of car batteries, usually also on the top of the battery case which consists of a punch system calendar which the retailer is supposed to remove the appropriate tiny round date stickers ( punches) for the exact date of purchase.

If there battery goes bad u can turn it in and ur car probably has a phantom draw, Which means ur car is eating up battery while its off for some reason/ or ur alternator is bad. They will help u out and have great prices and quality new and used batteries anyway, even if its ur cars fault.

Ive been buying my batteries and alternators here for at least 25 years. They will always be first choice because the prices are good and the service is great! I have purchased many refurbished batteries here and all but one time they lasted longer than the guarantee. The one time it didnt they replaced it free of charge.

Great little shop for all your auto battery needs.I have been here a few times, they have both new and used batteries for sale. I purchased uses batteries 2 times, they give 40 month warranty on the used batteries.Only reason for 1 star off is the place looks little old and run down. No issues with the service or their products.

They have always been honest and skilled since I first did business with them in the early 1980s. Prices are, and always have been at least competitive, often cheaper than the competition. They have an on site workshop at their store on SE 112th and SE Powell Blvd, and they can pull a bad alternator or generator, disassemble and repair it on site, then reinstall it, all usually while you wait, and often for cheaper then you can buy a brand new one. They also guarantee their work and their guarantee is good, as I have had to take something back a couple times over the last 30+ years Ive done business with them. They always verified the unit was bad, but once verified, then cheerfully either fixed or replaced the item as was appropriate. I have used 5heir rebuilt 12 volt automotive batteries for decades. They are WAY cheaper then a top of the line battery

Even though they had what my aunts car needed their customer service is garbage. I called and asked if they would stay open for 5 minutes past closing because Waze said I would arrive at 6:05 and that had to be my next stop because my battery couldnt hold a charge. If I stopped anywhere else I would be stranded. The employee said in a menacing voice no we will not bend or break the rules for anyone, no matter who you are. He acted like he got off on telling me no. They installed the battery for free but didnt clean the terminals or wire connectors and didnt put any corrosion protection on the connections.The prices are good but that employee was a total douche and deserves to be fired for that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Not worth risking running into that l employee. Who knows what the others are like.

I have been dealing with these guys for years. They offer a fine profuct for the money. They have always had what i needed and the prices were always fair. At times they even helped me diagnose whatever problem i was having with my electrical systems. Anybody that feels they had a bad experience was probably in a bad mood because of rhe problems they were having that day. These guys a good at what they do.

Had to come back twice 1st battery was faulty.

Battery issues are the worst and always at the worst possible time.. have to be at work, Doctor, court etc.I found out my replacement battery New would be $128.00 plus.. then my sales person asked if I would like to try a recycled battery, tested and had a 48 month warranty so I said how much, it was $30.00 with my bad one as a core or $50.00 out the door.That was great, I have been back a few more times and have never had any problems with the batteries.

Very fair prices, quick work, they got me right in, tested my electrical system, replaced my battery and I was out in a half hour. I would have gave them 5 stars but the person who was helping out continued to complain the entire time he was helping me. Like he was annoyed that he had to change a battery, even though I had to pay extra for a difficult install. Still, even with the extra charge: 5 stars on prices and labor. 2 stars on customer service.

Came in a couple months ago to get my Toyota worked on because the battery and alternator both needed to be swapped, Came in gave them the car and toldem whats up. after about two hours I went back to pick up my car and it seemed to start and run just fine BOOM Problem solved so whats with the 2 Stars Right? Welllll it seems that this was just the start of the problems, At first I started to notice the voltage of the bat start to drop VERY Slowely after not driving for a few hours somewhere from around 13.4Volts to 13V- 12.8V-12.5V, The motor would also start up slower and much weaker. untill one day in the morning I went to start my car and it says 11. something volts and the engine would Not start, the engine would Barely even turn I knew somthing had to be up so I took the car all the way to my freind Dans shop to get it checked and not really to my surprise the Battery AND Alternator were both used beat up pieces of junk that barely even worked, so ordered some NEW Parts and eventually had my freind install them and check it. I dont know if these guys Sold me this stuff knowing it was scrap or not? but still moral of the story is ALWAYS Check after ANY Specialists Or Mechanics have worked on your car, never know when something could be off.

When it comes to customer service, this place is the worse! Not friendly at all, very rude. I was in need of their services to be able to get to work the next day. Got off of work at 5 pm 30 min drive and when I get there the shop was already closed 5:45, when their sign says 6. Waited on the lot while looking for other options. About 6:15 pm I left and as I was leaving one of the employees came out, as if they were waiting for me to leave so they wouldn’t have to help me. I came in this morning at 8 am and now they are out of stock of the battery that I need. Terrible customer service!!

They checked my electrical system for free. My battery was bad and they had the best price in town for it. And they put it in for free. I sent my roommate up there to get new battery cables for her car. Because they were bad. They told her all she needed was new battery connectors. And they put new ones on for 8 bucks. Ive been going there since the 90s and always got good service.

These guys are crooks. Bought a lifetime guaranteed starter.had to bring it in when there lifetime guaranteed starter went out. There response was we dont want to pull out the starter if it is not the starter! After insisting it was the starter, and asking them to stand by there warantee, they pulled out there faulty starter. That was bad by the way. And then they had the nerve to tell my 70 year old mother she now had to pay for them to replace it with another lifetime starter. They acted like they where doing the work under warantee and when it was finished said if she did not pay for the labor we would not get the car back. You decide.

Well if they would answer there phone i could judge their service, i called at least 15 tines in two hours on a saturday during their busineas hours,, no answer!,,, i have been shopping here for years only recently noticed the issues with them not answering phones they have won my business over the years with customer service, hopefully this is not the new standard.
