A class act all the way. Pioneer is the company that my mother, now 96, has been working with since she moved into her place almost 15 years ago. During the summer heat wave, with temps soaring above 155 degrees, her AC went down. Every company in town was booked out and scrambling to keep up with demand. Pioneer went above and beyond to help my Mom - and me - deal with the situation, even calling me on their own when they had additional information for me.Molly is who I spoke with when I called, and the owner, Mike, was the technician. They came out to my Moms place twice, and I spoke with Molly multiple times. The AC unit ended up needing to be replaced, and Pioneer was candid about not having any AC units on hand - almost no-one in the city did. High marks all around to these folks for not only being technically good, but also truthful, professional, friendly and courteous - AND for following up with me when they didnt technically have to. I recommend this company highly.

Just got a call back about a quote. Had some clarification questions and got an extremely snarky response. Disrespectful and rude. How can a company expect to make bids if you’re treating potential customers like idiots? My business might be a drop in the bucket but I’ll make sure to avoid this company going forward.

Our very old AC at our 1974 home quit. It was a 40 amp unit and very inefficient. The new one Pioneer installed works way better, uses less electricity and is quieter. So glad for that lately. Pioneer also did a complete furnace/AC system at my brothers home, (at our recommendation), which just had an old oil furnace, same thing at my wifes fathers home. Very professional installs.Wed endorse them on doing any HVAC work.

Pioneer Gas and Furnace technician Greg just left - and I’m super impressed w their service. The office managed to fit us into their very busy schedule in only two days, there was good communication on when Greg would be at the house, and was here right when he said he’d be. We had a temperature sensor issue, Greg found it right away, fixed things up, cleaned up, and was out the door in less than an hour. Very professional and friendly. Highly recommend and will use again for our service next year!

The installed AC seems to be working fine, although attention to detail/aesthetics and regard for your home is utterly lacking--Dents out of the walls and molding, even a chunk out of our hardwood floor. The ceiling and walls were covered with black finger prints. The vent in the sealing was initially left misaligned and with several sharpie markings visible. They were responsive to fixing this, but initially no-showed that appointment. Second time out, was much better alignment, although still needing touch up. After scrubbing fingerprints off the ceiling a second time and a new chunk out of our stairway wall, opting to mend it ourselves.Customer service reps are friendly, but inter-company communication seems to be lacking.

Pioneer Gas Furnace installed my gas furnace in 1999. The installed a second one in 2019. They have always been responsive, professional, and helpful. I recommend them highly.

Mike was fantastic! He was able to come out the same day that our furnace stopped working. He was incredibly knowledgeable and worked through some maintenance issues that brought our furnace back to life. We avoided a costly replacement due to his quick thinking and problem solving. I used Pioneer Gas Furnace to do some work on my furnace after I bought a house, and again to run gas to my kitchen and install a gas range. Both times I found them to be great service and well priced, and able to see me within a week. I’ve been very happy with the final results of each visit.

Bought a house 4 years ago, installed a gas furnace with Pioneer. Things seemed to be fine during its use. Decided to sell the house, and Pioneer was too busy to service the furnace, so a different company came over. Both the technician and the buyers inspector questioned if the PVC piping was up to code or not. Both Mike (the owner) and his assistant were adamant that it was fine. It took multiple emails and phone calls to convince Mike to even come out and take a look. When he came over, he was rude and seemed to be irritated that he had to come out. Within 5 minutes, he told me that, yes, the PVC pipe was wrong, and it wasnt up to code. He told me some story about his supplier sending the wrong kind of pipe to him for awhile, and I thought I caught all the houses that had the wrong pipe. But if that was the case, why was he and his assistant so defensive about the piping when I called and emailed? Thankfully, the buyers were ok to have the correct piping installed after the house closed, otherwise Mike and his incompetence and defensiveness would have derailed the entire sale.

The work was done in a timely manner and correctly. Once the problem was diagnosed the repair was easy.

Pioneer Gas Furnace is a great business. They offered a good quote for A/C - and didnt quote us for a bunch of things we didnt want (which other shops did). Thereafter, weve had them perform yearly inspection and maintenance, and theyre always on time and super professional.

These guys were amazing. They have come out every year to service my furnace and air conditioner and have always been so nice. Last night my AC unit stopped working and I am someone that can’t function well in the heat. The were able to work me into their schedule that day and the guys found the problem and fixed it. They were also able to explain to me what was going Making the process so much easier. I highly recommend these guys at any time!

Woke up to a cold house and reached out to Pioneer. The dispatcher was very courteous and gave us some options for service. Phil showed up on the same day and was able to quickly diagnose a wiring issue which he resolved quickly. During the February snow/Ice storm we lost power and could not get the gas fireplace started. Called Pioneer Gas after hours and left a voicemail for Mike, he returned the call within 15 minutes and was at our home an hour later driving thought snow and ice. Great experience. I wanted a gas line put into my kitchen and called several places. This and another gave me the best impression over the phone, and Pioneer gave the best quote. Mike came by and my estimate was actually way less than I was expecting. The actual service was incredibly fast and the two guys who put in the gas line were helpful and friendly. Very quick, professional service and I will be going to them first for anything else in the future. And a great deal. Highly recommend.

I was having some issues with a natural gas fireplace not turning on so I called to have someone take a look. I was given a window of 8am to 10am. The guy showed up at 11:30 after I called to ask where they were. They serviced and cleaned the unit, costing almost $300 and it still doesnt turn on reliably.

I received great service and proffesionalism from Greg at Pioneer Gas, he was thorough, considerate, and friendly. I would definitely recommend them.

I just dont understand what has happened to a company Ive used for years. I tried to schedule a furnace tune up in June, they were so backed up they booked me for the last couple days in July. I waited but nothing ever happened. I called to try and get on their schedule the beginning of September but the lady just argued with me saying I was a no show at my own house. I kept trying to be put on the schedule but all she did was argue. That afternoon I called Jacobs heating and they put me on their schedule for next week. I wont be using Pioneer anymore. I just dont want to be lectured. No one ever followed up with me.

I talked to 4 companies before selecting Pioneer to replace my gas furnace and hot water heater. The other 3 companies told me I needed the higher end model with the variable heat output, but couldnt explain why, except to say that it would keep my house more comfortable. But my 25 year old, 80% efficiency furnace was keeping my house comfortable, so that didnt make any sense. Mike is the only one that told me I didnt need that type of furnace, and that it was more appropriate for older, draftier homes where the vents were not placed in the colder parts of the house, such as near windows or doors. Instead they installed the next model down and Im very happy with it. The crew that came was prompt and efficient, got the work done and cleaned up afterwards. They were supposed to install the hot water heater the same day, but Mike had a couple of hours one day, so stopped by and installed it early. Then on one of the first really hot days we had this year, I turned on my air conditioning and got nothing. I called Pioneer and Mike came by the next day. He immediately diagnosed that when they had installed the furnace, two wires were reversed and so the A/C didnt work. He fixed it in about 10 minutes and there was no charge. I couldnt be happier with this company! And they offer a 10 year warranty!

They had the best price and a very good product. Unfortunately, their product didnt support my Nest thermostat, and their thermostat comes with an ugly display that lights up the room at night. But the variable-speed furnace greatly improves home heating with less noise. It seems like the furnace is often not running but the home is warm nonetheless.Apart from the furnace itself, the customer service was great and everything was done as Pioneer said that they would do it - very professionally.

By far one of the most reliable, honest and professional companies Ive ever hired. I had originally called Pioneer Gas to help me in the midst of a snow-storm crises where my furnace decided to up and quit. I suspected that my 23+ year old furnace had seen better days, so I wasnt surprised by the bad news ... But what was surprising is they didnt try to sell me the most expensive model, but were honest about my needs. They also discovered that I had a secret second filter in the house that needed to be replaced. They didnt charge me for this, and since then my furnace can now breath, and Im more then warm enough with a lower heating bill.

Since Spring 2013 Pioneer Furnace has installed a new Carrier high efficiency furnace and a Carrier AC in my home, and done the annual fall checks on 2 ancient furnaces in my 103 year old rental duplex. Upon Phils advice, in Nov. 2016 the 40-year-old furnace in one duplex unit was finally replaced. When the other needs replacement, Pioneer will do the job.I have been very pleased with their professionalism, their competitive pricing, and their 10-year warranty with an annual service appointment..New owner Mike and Phil have particularly helpful, as has Molly in the office with scheduling and rebates.

Pioneer is a great company. They arent afraid of working with HOAs in downtown condos. Their crew was timely and did good work installing a rooftop AC unit for our loft. They did a great job moving through the permit process, coordinating with our HOA and the city, and saving us some major headaches. There was an installation problem involving an incorrectly glued plastic joint which was repaired under warranty at the first complaint. We are very happy with the Carrier furnace and air conditioning.

We just tried to use the AC in our new house, and it didnt work- We called in the middle of this heat wave going on right now, and they got someone out the same day. Dan was fast, efficient, friendly, on time, and happy to tell me all about the components and what was going on. Even though it was an easy fix (and now I could fix it myself next time) I was so impressed with the service I will never go anywhere else for my AC/furnace maintenance.

After several failed attempts at getting clarification for an extremely expensive service call I’m done with this business. They wouldn’t breakdown a $ 280.00 20 minute service call to replace a failed condensate pump. The pump is readily available for $70.00 anywhere. Be wary of trusting this company.

When I needed some immediate assistance on a Friday afternoon, Pioneer sent someone within the hour. The problem was a defective part and they replaced it and did not charge me for the visit. I was so grateful because I was also having company in the next few days.Pioneer sold me my furnace, installed it, have inspected it for me and all my interactions have been good. They also provided service on a gas fireplace that was purchased elsewhere a few years ago. They did an excellent job and adjusted a fan so it was no longer noisy.

Pioneer gas was extremely helpful with the beat way to get gas to my kitchen, fireplace, and BBQ. The work was completed promptly and of great quality. I would not hesitate to have them attend to any other natural gas needs I may have, including recommending them to family and friends family.

If you have them come over. Your choice will be clear. They did a great job at a good price and as a bonus they were quick and clean during the installation. They even completed most of the tax credit paperwork for us.
