Nada was the kindest and most professional when we were emotional wrecks. I can never thank her enough. Louise Zuza
Sarah Reinoehl did a superb job as our funeral director! Everything was done exactly the way our loved one wanted. She was kind, attentive, professional, and made all the details happen the right way. I highly recommend Sarah Reinoehl!!
My mother died in April of 2020. We were unable to get together for anything for her, but K-P&U were always available to us by phone and to my father in person. My dad passed Feb 2021 and K-P&U not only helped us with everything, they have us information so that we could include my mother in many of the things she did not have when she passed. Wonderful to have knowledge, kind people to help us.
Paid almost $300 to cremate my cat of 20 years to get a specific urn and necklace.I was told hed be ready Monday - he wasnt ready until Wednesday. Then I go to pick him up, hes in the wrong urn. At first the lady tried to tell me it was the right urn until I pointed out clear differences between what was pictured and what I got. Then I get told they ran out of the urn I paid for and she cant reach anyone to find one.I dont blame the lady who tried to help me and was clearly overwhelmed. This place is understaffed and disorganized.I should have realized that when I dropped his remains off, after speaking to someone that morning and giving my info, and was told no one informed them I was coming.Nice pet packages if they were actually as pictured.
Not happy at all. My mother had prepaid funeral contract. They change the prices to today’s rates and adjusted the amounts so they would not have to give me a larger refund. Talked to Nadia and she said it was reflected in the trust allowance. Which I did the math (former bookkeeper) all my life, and it does not add up. $600.00 to go pick up death certificates. RIP OFF BULLSH-T.Why bother with prepaying for funeral expenses if they are going to change prices to today’s prices?
My wife and I were very pleased with the overall service and facilities provided by Kays, Ponger & Uselton. In particular, Sarah was extremely helpful and accommodating. She produced a beautiful video montage of my father-in-law using the photographs we provided. Moreover, she showed tremendous grace and patience as different family members continuously emailed her photos to be added to the video. Also, even after the funeral, she accepted corrections to my father-in-law’s obituary and made the requested changes promptly and without complaint.
They were very professional from start to finish.
Kays-Ponger & Uselton were accommodating in the time of our family needs. We couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you
Very unprofessional, high pressure to upgrade this and that. Women dressed like they were ready for a night out, stiletto heels included. Almost double the price of the funeral home we went to for same service package. Had to pay a hostage fee to have my brothers body released to the other funeral home. At a very emotional time, not the place to go.
No one is prepared when the time comes to say goodbye to your LOVED one. My husband RICK was an exceptional man in everything he did in life. Emmy award winner, engineer, guitar player, father, and being the BEST HUSBAND to me. I was soothed by the tender and caring staff who handled my dearly beloved RICK. Thank you for being so compassionate and thoughtful on one of the most difficult experiences I had to endure.
Kays-Ponger & Uselton funeral home was very personal and attentive.
Thank you Nadia and staff for your kindness, gentleness and professionalism in handling my mother’s funeral arrangements. You were thorough and efficient and so respectful at all times. I was so comfortable with you as if I knew you for a long time. Thank you once again for all you did for me at such a stressful And sad time in my life. Elaine Tirella
Our son was stillborn and we were completely unprepared for this outcome, naturally. We had looked forward to his birth and spending our life with him. When we called this funeral home, they treated us like we were picking out a paint color and were completely unsympathetic. We are grieving a loss that no one should ever have to experience and met with absolute disregard.
I have been extremely satisfied with the professionalism, care and service we have had with Glen. We have used Kay’s Ponger multiple times for our loved ones. Glen and Debra have both gone above and beyond my expectations. Thank you for being so wonderful. I highly recommend them.
My siblings and I found your staffs professionalism and caring demeanor so calming following our mothers sudden demise. Also your staff worked together to provide a timely response to our needs considering we, being out of state. only had a week to take care of our mother and hold a funeral and reception.I would recommend your services to everyone.
My step father passed away unexpectedly last Saturday, July 20, 2019. He has been an incredible father figure for the last 32 years of my life and the most wonderful grandfather to my 4 sons! He also has 1 great granddaughter from my oldest son that he rarely got to see, but when he did, he lit up! Nadia made everything very smooth and easy for my mother and I and was so kind, warm and gentle! I would highly recommend this place and Nadia!
On behalf of my family, we gratefully appreciated the amazing service provided during this huge time of our loss once again. They had gone above and beyond making sure all details for my mothers service were fully covered. Just as they did many years ago for my fathers service. The Punta Gorda staff were simply wonderfully accommodating and comforting. Will like to say thank you to both Alyce and Ayla. Would highly recommend them.
Jeffrey Dickinson was very professional, very knowledgeable and very much interested in our concerns. No pressure selling at all. Answered all of our questions in full detail plus some. Would highly recommend Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes to all interest in making final end of life plans. Thank you so much Jeffrey
I don’t think I understood how Professional considerate personal they are until the very night of my mothers service. They cared about learning as much as they could about her and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. Nadia was amazing. Stacy was just as wonderful but the whole team has heart for others like you don’t always see. If you have to deal with a loss, I’d recommend their hands any day.
We have no words to describe the outstanding service that was provided to our son Anthony on 06-19-20. If I could give u 100 stars 🌟 I would. The service was beyond our expectations. Mr Duncan & Rich were very kind and to notch service!
Everyone that I encountered at Kays-Ponger was caring and compassionate. They made me and the family feel comfortable. Thank you so much for your help, support, and professionalism at this time with the loss of my husband.
Very caring and efficient. Glen answered all questions and continued to express their condolences. Will definitely recommend.
Glenn at Kay’s-Ponger was exceptional to work with during this difficult time. Courteous patient and prompt.
They took care of my late wifes arrangements at the time I was an emotionally wreck. They made the process as easy as possible. I did not want my family members too go though what had too I experience. The entire process was explained how everything would be taken care of at the time of my passing. Now I can look forward too see my wife on the other side. Glen
We were very pleased with the arrangments for my husband and father of our chidren. Everyone was very helpful and extremely nice. I am prearranging my services here also. I would recommend them to anyone. Very nice place and people.
Our experience with Kays-Ponger was excellent. Alyse and her staff were very kind and compassionate and they were attentive to our needs. Our family could not be more grateful for their services.
When my Husband Harold passed away unexpectedly 3 weeks ago I had no idea what funeral home to contact, I was referred to Kays-Ponger by a coworker. I am so very thankful for that referral! Alyse answered the phone that awful next morning, she is absolutely the most lovely, sympathetic, caring person! She walked me, gently, through the process and handled EVERYTHING! Down to the last detail. I couldnt be more thankful. When you find yourself in my position dont hesitate to contact these amazing people. Thank you Kays-Ponger for taking such wonderful care of the love of my life. Susan Lyons
I was so impressed with how everything was handled. Complete care and compassion!
My wife died 12/2/2013 funeral director Fred did an excellent job helping my daughter and myself make all preparations for my wife. Fred made us feel very comfortable. Fred was able to assist us and answer any and all questions. Fred was very compassionate courteous and professional. I would highly recommend this facility.
My experience with Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home has been very pleasant, everyone I dealt with was very knowledgeable and friendly, but I do wish to elaborate on my dealings with both Debra and Fred. My mom passed away, and she ha prearrangements all ready set in place, Debra was great in taking all info and doing all the paperwork, Fred who did the work on my mom did an excellent job for the viewing, my mom was sick for 10 years and her last last really took her looks away, but with Freds experience, he made her look beautiful. Every step that I had to do with these two funeral directions went smoothly, which at a time like this is what you want. They handled everything, with care and class. I am very happy that this facility took care of my mom. Thank you all so much.
Our family found that being assisted by such a great staff at the Port Charlotte location was a pleasant surprise. Thinking of funeral arrangements can be daunting at best, but with efficient help of Fred Duncan assisted by Dee, Nancy, and the Loffler Brothers, we were amazed at how easy they made it look. They provided beyond the call of duty help, including picking up a set of important papers at our house, bringing food platters from Publix, and notifying Social Security for the benefits to start. We still look over and talk about the video of pictures that they put together. Dee made us roar with laughter when talking about our loved one. She is a treasure who can weave an interesting and humorous story out of an ordinary life. The vanilla ice cream with cinnamon has become a favorite of lots of people who attended the funeral. Thank you so much!
Very dissatisfied with service and communication from funeral director to office manager. This funeral home is happy take your money and then delay fulfilling their commitment.
Kudos to funeral director Debra Fewell who went above and beyond in helping my brother and I carry out a wonderful commemoration program for our mother. Debra was extremely helpful and attentive.
The staff at Kays-Ponger were so caring and helpful throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend them. We are so thankful for all they do to help families during their most difficult time.
My husband Andre died on March5th of this year. His death was extremely sudden and from what my neighbor said,, the funeral home took an exceeding long time to get to my home. I was shock so I really cant gage the time frame, but I do remember being happy to sit with my husband and hold his hand even thought I know he was gone. It was very comforting to me, even as I was on the phone telling my daughter in CA that her father was gone to the Lord.(Fred deserves a raise or more vacation timeif there is such a thing in your business!! God bless him with many more years to enjoy his family!!Anyway the funeral director that I worked with was Fred Duncan, a true southern gentleman in the best sense of the term. Mr. Duncan was extraordinarily kind and thoughtful with a pleasing and patient manner.
Very professional and friendly.
