Went to see what the problem was to them going ahead and doing the work without me knowing the final price would be…$550 later my AC works…I asked them to call me 4-5 times before ANY work was done…only to me to call and say he would call me back in a couple of minutes to getting a call 3 hours later saying I owe $550…we did the work already. Nice guy and nice workers…shitty business sense. Don’t trust!

I left this place aggravated multiple times and have continued to go back but have lost all my confidence in their ability or competency to diagnose, repair or communicate. I wouldn’t take my vehicle here for a free oil change. I give one star for answering the phone when I made the attempt. Absolute joke, not happy!

I do a lot of my own maintenance on my Vans... I have 4 Chrysler Town & Country minivans... their technician tried to play the, I know exactly what Im talking about game... Not knowing that I have had the entire front end off of this van, took the very top end off and did the fuel injectors, motor mounts, radiator fans, radiator itself, inner and outer tie rods, manifold absolute pressure sensor also known as a MAP sensor ( that had to be the easiest repair ever... The map sensor is mounted on top of the intake manifold, with two 6 mm screws, and can be replaced in 5 minutes or less ) Exhaust Gas Return Valve.... I think you get the picture now... if you want honest auto repair work, really good auto repair work... Nicks Auto Clinic on Trott Circle in North Port Florida... Thats who I go to when its something going on with that big sewing machine up front... Everything else Ive listed here pretty much anybody can do after watching the YouTube video on how to do it twice LOL

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Took my dads car to get the a/c fixed. After several visits to replace different parts each time, the final comment was to replace the only part they hadnt yet. The bill was to be an additional $700+!!! We took it to another shop where they found freon leaking from a part that they alleged to have already replaced. The second shop said that the part was old and had not been replaced recently.

Great service for a great price, had me out of there quickly with perfect A/C for a fair price. Did 2 seals on my system and charged it back up and I was out in under an hour.

Shouldnt cost anyone anywhere near 3 grand and 3 trips back to fix an a/c problem and the ac still never blew cold as it should for the price i paid, started blowing warm again the next day.they did the ac recharge...that i had told them i already did at home charged me 80 or 100 bucks...sent me on my merry way.thats wasnt it.then they put a dye in my car n sent me home with it....well how r u supposed to see where the issue is if u sent me home with my car.long story short they never found the issue.cars shouldnt be given back until properly fixed and i shouldnt have been charged all this money.ridiculous zero stars if were possible and would not recommend.

Don’t be fooled by the older style building or Blues Brothers statues out front. If you want good old fashioned prompt, ptofessional, friendly fairly priced service this is the place to go for your new or older vehicle. Forget the dealership b.s and get treated like you expect. We are new in town and needed repairs on our 2015 GMC Yukon. They took us right in and performed a expert repair and got us our car back at a good price the very next day. Try that at a dealership! Many thanks to the crew at Ice cold repairs it warms my heart to find a place where old fashioned pride and expertise is still alive.

This place is a little hole in the wall along Tamiami trail. The two men who own the repair shop know their business and are fair. The place stands out by having statues of the Blues Brothers on the outside. The office is typical for this type of establishment and they have 2 bays. They specialize in Air Conditioning, but brakes and suspension work is also a specialty.The work is competent, using quality parts, and the pricing fair. If you need repairs, this is a good option.

I went in to have my AC recharged, thinking it was just time. They charged it and got it working like new. Went the extra mile by adding dye to the recharge and had me come back the next day to check for leaks. Caught the leak that had already let half of The new Freon out! Very happy a friend recommended them to me. AC had been blowing polar air since they fixed the leak.

I brought my 2003 Yukon XL here because the a/c was not working properly and these guys had a pretty good rating on google. My front a/c would stay on even when its supposed to be off and it only blew hot air, the rear a/c never turned on. Im an essential worker for a private prison type of setting and I work 5 days a week 3 out of 5 days I work 16hr shifts and, so with that being said I make decent money so I do buy myself nice things like gold grillz (teeth),gold necklace and charm and Cuban link bracelet,I like to put on my nice clothes and jewelry on my off day and this was MY DAY OFF and if you havent guessed it yet Im a black american. Soo yeah off day I gave this place a call told them what was going on with my truck and I asked could it be looked at today I was told today or tomorrow just bring it in and well take a look at it, long story short I brought the truck there and left it, wearing my off work attire okay! Then I rented a car, I get a call about 3 1/2 hours later saying that it can be fixed and ready tomorrow morning and my total is going to be $747, so I asked does the rear a/c work the guy on the phone says Im pretty sure it does but I can double check it as Im on the phone I asked how is it $74 7 he said we had to replace a module and do some rewiring for your front a/c and you also had some nasty fluids that needed to be flushed Im thinking to myself I never asked them to flush fluids in my truck thats not what I came there for even though I was sceptical I said okay when can I pick it up he said today or first thing in the a.m. I said Ill pick it up in the morning. The Next Day! Im in my work uniform looking all professional khaki pants baby blue collared shirt tucked in with my black belt and shoes and my name badge on NO JEWELRY because I had to pickup my truck and go straight to work it was 1:30 p.m. So I walked in I had to wait about 4 minutes at the counter nobody came so I walked out of the waiting area and walked in front of the car bay and someone Im here to pickup a vehicle then I went back to the counter in the waiting area, the guy walks in and I told him what vehicle I was there to get he said its not ready yet I said I got a call yesterday saying that it would be ready first thing this morning so he checked his work orders then he said o I guess it is ready so now Im looking over the work order trying to see how is it $747 it said that the module was $150 and the Antifreeze flush was $65 and I said so it was $500 just for labor he said no theres things that we didnt add on the work order, in my mind Im like yeah right but you got me on the hook for $747 so what can I do!? PAY FOR IT! So I payed he said Ill go pull it around front so I get in my truck about to pull off because I do have to be at work by 2:45 and something said wait check your rear a/c and when I turned the nob nothing happened so I put the truck in park and told them hey my rear a/c isnt working, the guy that accepted my payment said we werent supposed to fix the rear I said yes you were the guy that I spoke to over the phone yesterday said it was fixed and that he would double check that it works. So they pull the rear panel off to see whats going on then the guy that accepted my payment turns to me and says would like me to order the rear module thats whats wrong I said in an upset tone dude are you serious I just payed you $747 I shouldnt have to pay for anything else! And he ok ok well get it fixed and Im not looking for a temporary fix I want it FIXED! I was late to work but it was fixed but 3 weeks later its blowing hot air again Ill be there first thing in the morning! And Im not paying for anything!

My husband had an air conditioning compressor replaced with all the related parts. They also repaired an hvac related part for a reasonable amount of money. The job was done unbelievably quick considering that the SHOP manual said 15 hrs of labor. Took it in Monday and picked it up on Tuesday. Everyone was very professional. Thanks Bob!

Being a female and unfortunately not knowing much about cars, I have been trusting Ice Cold Auto Repair and the work they have done on my cars for to many years to count. Bob & Holly Berry and his staff are honest and efficient. He even told me years ago a car I had was not worth fixing anymore and I should get another car. The repair would have cost me a hard earned $700. He told me to take that $700. and put it towards another car. Now that is what I call HONESTY. I have recommended him several times to friends and they all have thanked me after Ice Cold Auto repaired their cars.

They did catch my eye. More importantly the work was done fast, professionally and at a fair price. Bobby made sure he explained everything that needed to be done before doing it. The first time was for my auto air conditioning. Since then Ive brought in two additional cars for various mechanical problems and have been very satisfied with their service. I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for automotive work.

We brought our car in for an air conditioning problem, they replaced two parts for $1600. 3 months later the a/c quit. We were out of town and decided to use the warranty from this place. Many calls and rejections later it cost us another $260 to replace the parts installed by ice cold auto air. They refused to compensate us for the additional cost. It turns out they forgot to put the o rings on when replacing the evaporator coil. They do shotty work and are just parts changers not trouble shooters.

Good mechanics, able to change my transmission fluid/filter, and improve my AC in just a few hours.Today I went there because my tailgate wouldnt open. In 15 minutes the mechanic opened it, found the problem (broken part). They found a replacement close it was delivered within an hour. 15-20 minutes it was working like new.

I had taken my vehicle to two other shops in the the area and they were unable to fix my car. Bob Berry was able fix the problem quickly and the customer service was amazing! I highly recommend this shop, I will definitely go back!

Got AC in van checked out

I brought my car into this place at the beginning of December 2013. I was having issues with the car due to a previous mechanic. They told me the car needed a new compressor, I have aftermarket warranty that is supposed to cover that. Then they went ahead and did some other supposed work without my knowledge, then just went ahead and charged me for it. They supposedly fixed some vacuum lines and an exhaust leak. They went ahead and charged me $480 to fix the exhaust leak and vacuum lines. When I got the car back I noticed that in my opinion - they hadnt done anything they said they did. The AC was still barely blowing out of the vents. The car ran the exact same (still had the exhaust leak). They told me to wait till the middle of January to bring the car back. So I had my wife bring it back in because I was busy with work. They told her that the AC works fine and it is blowing hard out of the vents. They are delusional........do not take your car here unless you want to be had.I just took the car back in. They pulled the cabin air filter out - charged me $50, and told me if/when I bring it back they can replace the air filter for $180. I asked why this was not done when they did the compressor, the owner then laughed and said we dont check that when we replace the compressor, we expect most people to take care of their cars. This place is a joke, and they are the type of mechanics that say they do some work and dont do the work at all. The simple fact that he charged me for something they should have initially checked is ridiculous. Save yourself a headache and dont take your car to these crooks.

CROOKS!Came in to get a/c checked out because it was blowing warm. Guy comes back after 20 min tells me its done so I trust him and pay $90 for system re charge. Start car a/c still warm. Guy takes car to back 20 min later they tell me I need evaporator $945. Tells and shows me 68 camaro had same problem as mine and that now after change out it blows 35 out of vents. Im sure the camaro can fit into any a/c problem scenario.I ok fix and after I pay bill $1200 I go to my car and still blows warm but am assured that they got temp down to 54 in the morning with shade. I asked why Im not at 35 degrees and the owner says now I need a new fan and radiator?Best part was there was absolutely nothing wrong with my old evaporator! BEWARE!

Kristen Horner is the relative of a disgruntled former employee. I have brought our vehicles their for repair for many years and have received nothing but friendly, courteous, and professional service.

My a/c was blowing hot air. I brought my car here to have it checked out. I also TRIED to tell the guy about problems I was having with the power windows and oil leaking, since the website clearly states that they specialize in those fields. He cut me off, telling me to let him deal with one thing at a time. I work mon-fri in Arcadia from 7:30a-4:30p and just so happened to be off that wed to get my car checked. I was TRYING to find out ALL the issues, so when I make my sat apt, I know what to have... guess not. Anyway, he charged the a/c for $85, which was cool and told me to bring it back if it blows hot and he will look at the dye and see where its coming from and if they repair it, recharging it would be free. I brought it back 4 days later and found out it was the compressor. I was told that if I got the compressor from them and they replaced it, it would be almost $600! I bought a BRAND NEW compressor w/ clutch for $154.95 on amazon w/ free shipping. When it arrived, I call back for a quote... $262 for replacing! So, not only do you want me to pay almost $110 MORE than the part, but you are also saying that YOUR compressor was almost $350?!? Needless to say, I bought 3 cans of refrigerant from walmart and someone else did the work for $40. I dont know if its reasonable for their price to be so high or if they tried the HELL out of me because I am a woman, but THIS woman isnt paying that crap! The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because they at least found the leak, which was the main reason I came. The reason I went to THEM was because I got the business card from my sons barbershop...
