I wanted to try BJJ for the first time while I was in Fort Lauderdale and based on the reviews decided to give Beach BJJ a go. From the start you are made to feel welcome and at ease and I had a really good time. I’ll definitely be back and can highly recommend Beach BJJ for anyone wanting to try BJJ or to get a session in 👊🏽💪🏽

1 star bc when I pulled up on em yesterday 4/14/21, there was a big for least sign in the window. They mustve closed resently, a much of equipment was in there including the mats and all

I visited Beach BJJ with my coach and fellow training partners. Upon arrival we were welcomed with open arms and were immediately treated like family. The instruction and techniques taught were clear, concise, and effective. My rolls with both upper and lower belts were challenging and educational, but most importantly FUN! I learned so many new things and I can’t wait to apply them to future rolls. I definitely look forward to coming back and training at Beach BJJ any time I’m in South Florida!

A great place to train. I trained here during an open mat while visiting the area and it was awesome. First off, there aren’t many gyms holding open mats on Friday night and if there are it’s RARE to have multiple black and brown belts on the mat at once. But that’s the case at Beach Bjj. Second, everyone here is cool, they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like apart of the team. And last, they are talented, tough and very helpful. The instructor pulled me aside after our roll and showed me a sweet little half guard pass. Great experience overall, I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town.

What a great academy! I visited the academy on my holiday and felt super welcome the minute I entered the door. Great world class teaching, nice clean mats and a lot of good people to roll with! It seemed that many students in this academy are pretty active with their training, so if you want to improve your game this is the place to do it! Even got to roll with Mr. Popovitch! :)

I was sent to FL for a work project and looked to find a place to train. I called ahead to Beach BJJ to check if I could drop in and spoke with Robert who was incredibly welcoming and helpful! When I got to the gym I met the head instructor AJ Sousa, again, very welcoming and nice. His teaching style is detailed and down to earth. Training included warm up drills, practicing technique and live rolls. The gym is kept clean and seems to have a great culture. Looking forward to training here more during my trips to the Fort Lauderdale area!

Everytime I travel I try to stop at a Jiu Jitsu school to train for a class. I can definitely say this school had the most welcoming environment Ive been in yet. Everyone was very humble and made me feel right at home. Very good instruction and a highly skilled team. I highly recommend taking a visit to Beach Bjj.

What a great place to have your kids learn! To begin with, all kids should learn jiu jitsu. Here, the owners have done a great job keeping the class sizes small enough that each child gets individual attention. The instructors are patient, accomplished, and skilled teachers. And itsactually AFFORDABLE!

I recently moved to Texas from Florida. I have been searching endlessly for a BJJ gym like AJ and Robert’s to no avail. We miss it there and my son loved it from day 1. The training is incredible for adults and kids and personalized for each individual. BJJ focused and not MMA focused like so many other gyms around. If I could have packed them up to move, I would have!

If you need to get into shape this is the place to go. You will get the workout of your life and start to burn the calories. I started here as a very over weight person and by the first month I was already down 20 pounds. I have now been working out for a year and look like a completely different person. I owe my life to this place for saving me.

Be careful!! You may call and cancel membership after your contract is up and yet they will continue to charge your card automatically. I finally had to cancel my credit card to stop them from charging me two months after my contract was up. Enjoyed my time while being there but what a pain and shady way to make some extra money on their part.

Beach bjj is really one of the top jiu jitsu gyms in The Ft. Lauderdale/Pompano area. The instructors there are extremely nice and helpful and the level of instruction there is world class. From the world class competitors on the mats every day to the countless years of experience that many of the members and instructors have, as well as the friendly family atmosphere make this gym the best gym I’ve trained at. I have been to three or four gyms before this and have had to leave because of relocating, but Beach BJJ sits at the top of that list for sure!

Amazing Jiu Jitsu Training Facility located near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to truly explain each process. I have had the pleasure of training with this team for 13+ years they always have something new to show as well consistently produce high level of practitioners in jiu jitsu. No doubt you will love the school, as well as the friends you will make for a lifetime.

Not just Jiu Jitsu, but a second Home and Family.In the short time my daughter has been training here, her skill has improved in leaps and bounds. Shes already taken first place at two different competitions, bringing home multiple medals and even a Ninja sword.The most amazing thing, however, is that the greatness of this center does not end with the skills they can train. Its in that they care about their students. That they make you feel immediately comfortable. There are very few people I would trust to leave my children in the care of; I have no qualms taking them here. Their instructor, AJ Sousa, is at the top of his game but clearly has a heart for raising up children to have a successful future in Jiu Jitsu as well.At some point or another, three of my kids were all enrolled in Jiu Jitsu. Although only one has decided to stick with the sport, the gym and its instructors have continued to treat all of us like extended family, always asking the other two how they are doing when we come in for our daughters classes. They also did a fantastic job working with our child who is diagnosed with Autism. Before that point, he had not been able to participate in any extra curricular activities. We will never forget how gracious this gym was to him during his interest in the sport and beyond.My husband was so impressed with the kid classes and the atmosphere, that he signed up to train as well (in the adult classes of course). He experienced the same benefits my children had--and more. It was as though he had walked into a room of old friends. Every one that trains here is very welcoming of any new comers and friendly and relaxed with one another. I first visited Team Popovitch in 2011 while in Florida for a business trip. I had been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 5+ years at that time and I wasnt sure what to expect at a World Champions gym. I want to let everyone know that this is one of the best academies that I have ever visited.Professor Pablo Popovitch is one of the nicest people Ive met in the course of my Jiu Jitsu travels. He and all of his instructors hold very structured classes and give all students (including visitors) personal attention. On top of this all of his students represented him very well in both skill and attitude towards others. They all made me feel like family.This all being said I have since visited his academy on four other occasions and am making it a point to make it down to Florida at least once or twice a year to train at his school. If you live in the area or are just visiting, and are looking for both great Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and great atmosphere, you must check out this school.
