They never call you to update you on the status of your vehicle, and MANNY the guy in charge says he will call you on a certain day, but doesnt. Stay clear of this place! I cant believe an AAMCO would be run so terribly. If I could give zero stars, I would.

This place did my motor mounts and they charged me a decent price but I went there to have a tune-up hit me with a price like almost $565 I was like in total shock I pulled out and left.
Well see if 3rd time is a charm. I took a classic car in pre COVID to do a transmission rebuild. What was supposed to be a 1 to 2 week job took close to 2 months. I felt like I was the one who was always calling to get updates. I was constantly told someone will call me back or it would be ready next week.The 2nd time was during COVID due to an issue with the transmission not shifting into 2nd gear. I was a little more patient this time around as I kind of knew what to expect but since my transmission was still under warranty, I was definitely taking it back to get fixed. More of the same results as last time no follow ups and again telling me it would be ready next week. 3 to 4 months later I finally got my car back.Here we are a 3rd time experiencing similar issues but this time the transmission wont go into 3rd gear.Ive put less than 200 miles on the new transmission since getting it back but I keep experiencing problems.
Just wish there was more interaction on what they did n that with the vichle... so far good work n service

Customers beware!!! If i could id give this place negative stars i would. I took my 08 buick to this shop to get transmission done because this place was recommended to me. They took forever to fix and 3,600 dollars later i had to take back because it started slipping again and again. Transmission only lasted till the 2 years warranty was up. I also had lots of work done here but no matter what it was had to take back 2 to 3 times for the same thing. Dont know if the used used or cheap parts but there work doesnt seem to last. Also when it comes to pricing it seems like they just made up random pricing giving me receipts of 0.00 under cost of items but had over 1000.00 bill each time no matter how big or small the job was.They must use refurbished used parts because on 97 Chevy Blazer I had to get a new shifter total cost me $1,000 the part cost almost $500 but they charge me $500 for labor and I asked the service tech that did the work he told me it took about an hour to complete the work what a rip off, also I had to go back two times to get my fuel pump replaced. I do not recommend this place do yourself a favor and go to a dealership or more trusted reliable auto shop.

I came in for brake work on my truck. It took over a week to get a new brake reservoir and lines installed. The communication with manager Manny was horrible. I had to call to find the status of my truck. The day I went to pick up my truck, no one bothered telling me what they did. When Manny saw me come in, he walked out the back door and took off in his truck.
They rebuilt my transmission years ago and wouldnt go anywhere else. Great on Financial and great customer service.

I would really recommend this place. When my car broke down on the side of the road. Rick and Russ offered to pick me up and get my car towed to their shop right a way. After that, my car was inspected for free and I was notified of what repairs were necessary. I got a real sense of honesty from Rick and his staff. They even charged less then what was originally quoted. They were even nice enough to show me the work they did after the work was finished. Really professional! Thank you.
Great Service and Customer Service. Russ the Owner and Rick the Manager are the Best. They take care of all my mothers car needs and goes above and beyond. They check to make sure all hoses and clamps are not worn even when she is there for other service. I trust them totally working on my senior mothers car. I honestly had a great service. I enjoy the way they help in every which way they can and are honest. I got free code checks and test drive to see what the problem was and was given a ride home and offered a ride to get there. They also have great financing options as well. Definitely a recommended place.

If I could give no stars I would this is honestly the worst place to take your car to I had spent little more then 2000 dollar here to fix all leaks on my vehicle they didn’t only over price me on parts they also got me cheap parts and they also had my car more then two weeks once I got it back they said they test it and everything they said no more leaks I honestly drove my car back home went in my home came back out to go to work and there was a big puddle of oil all over the floor I called rick back to let him know he told me the shop was closing and that I would had to wait till Monday to bring it back it was Friday so I had to get Uber rides to work costing me more money I brought my car back Monday they told me that there super packed and that I wouldn’t get my car back till Thursday like really well me trying to be nice I said go head and please check everything I don’t want to come back two days later I called them to see how my car was and they said they couldn’t find any leaks I was so upset that I went there pulled my dip stick for them to show them it’s missing oil then rick wants to say ooh well we found the problem before you came and found out your rear main seals are leaking that would be another 600 dollar like really ? I all ready payed you to fix everything but I took my car out of there took it to a friend they said the rear main seal isn’t even leaking that it was the oil pan. That was one of the parts they replaced I call rick and send him pictures to see he contact me back saying I’m busy sorry again but they car won’t be worked on for more then a week if you bring it in today like dam I payed cash and all they did was f me over never take your car to this place I don’t know what these other people talking about but most likely they use warranty from there at dealerships probably why they didn’t care much
The customer service is beyond words. I would recommend the AAMCO Transmissions in Pomona to any and everyone. They did not charge me when they couldnt find a problem with my car and they had it for 3 days and endlessly ran tests. I was on my way to Vegas and my car started acting up. I literally pulled off the freeway after driving for over an hour and found them. Flustered and panicked to say the least, they took great care of me and even drove me to an Enterprise office so I could rent a car (their recommendation) so I didnt miss out on our planned trip while they tried to figure things out. They even stayed with me to make sure I was able to get a car and not be stranded. They called me every time they did a test to update me and made sure they kept clear and thorough communication with me regarding my car. And to top it off, they waited for me to arrive to pick up my car even though it was after hours. I cannot tell you the last time I had such impeccable service like that.
Weve been customers for many years and Don has always seen to it that we get taken care of. I would say they are better suited to passenger cars, pick ups, etc. They have replaced the transmission in our Isuzu commercial truck now THREE times in four years, starting in 2007. And weve paid for every one...spent over $11,000 all said and out the door. And the truck is back in for service, having only ran 200 miles. I had my 2000 Chevy truck trans replaced with no problems but commercial is another story.
I am currently having my transmission replaced with AAMCO, Pamona. I really enjoyed better customer service compare to dealership and other repair shops. Rick and Russ both are open, friendly and kept me updated with the inspection, findings and helped me manage my cost. When my transmission broke down I called AAMCO. I trusted AAMCOs expertise and reputation and I knew they were the better option. I was immediately greeted with great customer service, Rick was very professional and took care of everything. With in a couple of hours I was informed of the damages and given my options. Ricks expertise definitely helped me make the right decisions along with all of AAMCOs perks it is more than I ever hoped.
My experience at this shop have been with Rick and Ross great people no issues on any of my 3 vehicles that i take to them. I semd my wife in to get an oil change on my KIA and the new crew along with the shop employees have poor work ethic and treated my wife rude. I run a business my self and i know how to great customers and the way they went on dealing with her is not right. Will not be taking my cars to this shop no more. Also when Manny was talking to my wife i was on the phone and his form of explaining things was not how a higher management person should express themselves. Higher management is set in place to keep the flow and respect going and this shop now has nothing of that. And now Mr. Manny wont release the car to her and his keepingher car keys.

Just needed my brake pads lubed up. Dont have the tools to get the calibers off myself I was willing to pay 60-80 bucks thats what it costs literally anywhere else to replace your brakes ( assuming you buy your own pads ) THIS GUY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $250 all because he didnt feel like doing it . Steer clear from this place.
My husband n I had our truck towed To manny at Pomona aamco for a noise it made n the other aamco couldn’t find the problem so we took it to manny n with in 2 hrs later they found the problem it was the hub housing assembly a safety issue very friendly very honest n I will keep taking my vechilces to manny when my car need service thanks you Manny and Staff

Single moms struggling and not knowing where to go this is the place or ant body we had a fantastic experience there. A friend of mine took his ford explorer to have transmission replace it took almost 6 to 8 weeks to get Explorer back when he took it for a test drive it broke down on freeway transmission oil spewed out of it onto exhaust causing a lot of smoke and had to leave truck again also vehicle was damaged on rear bumper and right rear wheel well. They are very rude and dishonest. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE.
DO NOT GO HERE. These guys are CROOKS.I brought my car in early last week right at 8:00 when they open, because the transmission seemed to be slipping, and I felt it wouldnt be a good idea to use it to commute to work. I talked to Don behind the counter and he said they would do a free test drive/ diagnostic to see what they thought would be needed. At 9:00 they called me to tell me the transmission was slipping and the pan would need to be dropped for $190, so they could check the wires and look for any clutch material/ metal in the pan. I called them a twice about the situation with the car throughout the day, and spoke to the manager Rick Sandoval, who was very rude on the phone. First he told me the mechanic was out to lunch and would get to it as soon as he was back, then he said there were no lifts available so they wouldnt get to it until the next day. So it had sat in their shop FOR 8 HOURS without them so much as looking at it again.So now I have to take another day off of work so they can drop the pan like they said they would nearly 24 hours prior. Once they finally do they have me come in, where I once again spoke to the very rude Rick Sandoval who told me they found material in the pan (which they never actually showed me), and that they would have to rebuild the entire transmission for upwards of $2,000. This seemed a little odd to me because the transmission on the car was only 2 years old. I told Rick that I was going to have another mechanic take a look at it for a second opinion. Rick, very intensely, told me that I should under no circumstances do this because only AAMCO would be qualified to do this, that the other shops were untrustworthy, and that driving it any further would only worsen the damage.So I had it towed to a shop in Hesperia who put in the transmission before and whom I trusted with my car. They test drove it for me there and said it wasnt a transmission issue at all, but an engine problem. Once the Hesperia shop looked in the engine they found that some of the spark plug wires had gone bad and replaced them with more heavy duty wires for $100 and the car runs fine again.Either the people at this AAMCO are totally incompetent or theyre scamming innocent people. Maybe both. Do not go here, I dont trust a single thing these guys say.
On a Friday night, a thousand miles from home our 2004 Kias transmission gave out. Even though Id never been to an Aamco shop before, Im thankful through the years company marketers got the word out because the Aamco name came immediately to mind. Saturday morning hours and a great web presence allowed me to plan a route and nurse the car to the shop. Upon meeting Rick, I immediately knew we were in good hands. Rick and his staff brought the concept of total car care to practical reality for us and went above and beyond to help calm worried relatives, arrange financing, provide temporary alternate transportation, including drop off and pick up rides. Knowing we were stranded, Rick and his network, through hard work, dedication and thoughtfulness pulled of what I consider nothing short of miraculous, locating, acquiring and installing an older vechicles transmission between when the shop re-opened Monday morning and Wednesday evening. During the time the vehicle was in Aamco care, Rick and the crew also made it possible to fold in other work Id been holding off on which was triggering the check engine light. Even though some might consider the review thing bunk Im nevertheless writing this one because Im truly thankful to the Aamco company and staff for taking care of us.

Had my transmission rebuilt at the Hemet California location three weeks after having it done I brought it back to them and told them it was having issues going up hills the RPMs would just drop wouldn’t downshift into the lower gear and when it finally did it would slam into gear brought it back to him told him what was going on he drove it around the block didn’t bring it up a hill and told me there was no issue a month later brought it back again it was having issues he didn’t even drive it anywhere told me that it was fine now that I’m over the mileage limit but still under the 18 month Limit my transmission went bad again and he refuses to warrantee it because I’m over the mileage even though I brought it back to him three times while still under warranty AAMCO should be ashamed of themselves
DO NOT GO HERE. I brought my Acura 2005 TSX for a free diagnostic- check engine light was on. Driving my car this day seem to be misfiring & losing power as I was driving. I spoke to Rick who said “it’s catastrophic to drive your vechile, as even acoss his street!” I found this odd as I had driven the car to work & later into his shop earlier the same day. Told him I spoke to the Acura dealer Glendale, CA. where they advised it was a coil-pack & you can test with an OBD scanner. At this point Rick became very -upset Rude & Angry, but did run-the OBD scanner as my 3-coil was out. He Quoted me $120 first hour $90 & needs my car 3-4 hours? I did not agree & drove my own car out of there immediately. I got my own part $58 auto tech Baldwin Park, CA. & installed my 3rd coil pack thanks to YouTube 3min video 15 min job only required 10” socket wrench & part! #catastrophic wow.

Transmission rebuild on car was horrible. Transmission is in worse shape than before. Try taking it back for warranty they didnt work on it for weeks. I took it out after being tired of them not working on it. I hope they can correct this problem one day.
I got charged $195.00 to tell me that I need a transmission .total lie I when to another transmission shop and they diagnosed the transmission to be good I need it to change the spark plugs that shop is ready to take your money even if your car its ok stay away from them .
I took my car hear after the ammco in chino said they couldnt see my car and if they did they would have answer for me till the next day when it was just to check out my brakes then my gf called chino aamco saying she had a transmission problem and said to her they can check it out and have an answer for her on the same day unprofessional much? Later took it to this aamco in pomona great service they took a look at my car told me what was wrong with it in less than an hour and where even willing to work with me with the price overall great service
This company just didnt care that my wife was stranded and we needed to take the car to this AAMCO in Pomona. the transmission was rebuilt in Redlands Last November, several weeks later we had to take it back to Redlands twice to fix a couple of transmission oil leaks. 3 weeks ago the transmission failed again and had to repaired. TODAY the car broke down AGAIN near Pomona and the individual from the Pomona AAMCO instead of immediately offering to have the car towed in to his Pomona shop he preferred to keep my wife stranded until he contacts the Redlands Office!! so who cares what could happen to my wife. Very bad costumer service!!!!!!
