Was able to find out and repair a difficult problem with my truck great service honest people

Recently brought my husband’s pick up to Aamco in Pt. Pleasant because his transmission was leaking. The technician Tim took all of five minutes to look at the transmission- and told my husband it would be $900.00 to replace 2 gaskets. My husband decided to get a 2 opinion somewhere else. Other mechanic told us the problem with the transmission was a few loose bolts- and there are no gaskets on the transmission!!!!!! We just had to tighten the bolts and leak stopped.Needless to say, we were very angry that Aamco was trying to rip us off ! They basically wanted $900. To tighten a few bolts. I had previously used them to replace the transmission in my other car and paid $4000 for that - but I now wonder did we get ripped off with that also. So beware of these crooks

Ken and Aron are AMAZING. They take such great care of us everytime we go. They are wonderful with my son and let him play in the office while we get oil changes. They have the best prices around

The owner went above and beyond to help us. He was a life saver. He helped us get rides and our car to the dealership for repairs. If you need any help with your car, Aamco will fix the problem or make sure you are pointed in the right direction. Ken (?) is awesome.

I took my 1987 Corvette Show Car here for a leaking transmission which I was so worried was going to be a major repair job also I was worried they couldnt work on older Sports Cars.Well it was No problem for these Guys!!!Luckily it only needed a gasket!!! I was so relieved . The Owner, manager and Repair techs were SOOOO Competent ...and FRIENDLY! They fixed my Baby in an afternoon. The owner actually remembers working on her 15 years ago!!! While they had it they did an oil change. SUPER TRUSTWORTHY and Knowledgeable....There is a reason why they have a near ☆☆☆☆☆ Rating.

Top notch mechanic and shop. Aaron and Ken were extremely helpful with my Grand Cherokee. Ken replaced bearings in the front differential and did so with expertise. Have now become a repeat customer, because of their knowledge, flexibility with getting my vehicle in when needed, and overall honesty. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience! I was offered 20% off due to COVID-19 being an essential worker which was super helpful since the work I needed done wasnt cheap. It was done in a day and for far less than previously quoted by other shops. Special thanks to them and Service Manager Ken who made a usually frustrating experience seamless and pleasant.

I was a first time user of this AAMCO a few days ago. Service was extremely efficient I was explained everything that was done. Since the service took a couple of hours, the Manager on Duty (Ken) drove me to the local coffee nook so I could relax while my car was being worked on. This place goes the extra mile! They will advise you what repairs your vehicle needs without any pressure. The staff are trustworthy and the repairs are done right the first time. Their service specials and pricing are very competitive. I recently had my transmission serviced (50,000 mile) to maintain the extended warranty and only the necessary items were replaced. Very professional people and great service! Super fast and they make you feel like family. They were able to do am oil change and diagnose why my car kept shutting off! They fixed it in less than 30 min and Ive never had that problem since. Its been 4 months since my last visit!

I can be such a last minute person at times and I called first thing in the morning and they were able to take me 20min later. Once I arrived I was greeted kindly, received an awards card, and was done in 25 minutes. While I waited I had a great conversation with the owner, he made me feel welcomed and it was as if I knew him for years. Excellent, excellent service. I recently had a transmission problem while traveling in Connecticut. Thanks to their advice I was able to contact a local dealer who replaced the transmission under warranty. They provide. good honest reliable service at a fair price. I have had both transmission and non transmission work done here and have always been extremely happy.

The Service Manager at this AAMCO location was very helpful in explaining the details of the jobs recommended for my Toyota Avalon with 140,000 miles. His technicians performed a clean and professional job in replacing all fluids needed as well as oil change, and did a detail check of all the components such as brakes, transmission, etc., as specified in the manufacturers maintenance schedule.I highly recommend this AAMCO location for all your cars needs and repair work done. They took great care of my wifes suburban and redid her front end. They helped us get an aamco credit card with 0% interest for the first 6 monthsto help pay for the repairs. They were super knowledgeable and very helpful. Would Definitely refer ppl to them!

Called multiple times over a two week span to get a quote and each time was told I would receive a call back but I never did. It sucks because I really need to fix my car and they are close to where I live. Really unhappy things didnt work out.

Excellent customer service. Had an appointment at 10am, brought my car in at 9:50 and they got right to it. Very friendly mechanics and the man who greeted me is hysterical. I will definitely be back. As I sat and waited for my car to have the oil changed, a scout leader from the boy scouts came in to tell the guys that their weekly donation to the boy scouts allowed a little boy, whos father had recently passed away, to attend summer camp with his friends this summer. Cant make this stuff up man, an incredible story!

After finding a large puddle of transmission fluid under my Dodge Charger one morning, I called the Point Pleasant AAMCO and explained the situation. I brought my car into the station in the late morning and not only did I get a call back fairly quickly with the diagnosis, my car was fixed and back on the road by the end of the day. I was very satisfied with my experience (the repair was reasonably priced on top of the good service) and I would recommend their shop to anyone looking for a mechanic.

Ive been using this AAMCO for my fleet truck for a few years. I just brought it in last week for a tuneup and they found a issue with the front end. This 200k mile work truck is driving like its off the lot. Ken and Richie are the only folks touching my vehicles! Thanks guys!

Great service and communication from everyone there while servicing my vehicles the past several years. Recently had a transmission break a second time and they covered it under warranty and had me back on the road in a few days. While fixing the trans they noticed a starter issue and changed it labor free. Way to go Kenny, Rich and the rest of the crew!

Every experience with AAMCO of Point has been a pleasure! Aron, Rich and Kenny are first class! Professional, courteous, knowledgeable!!! I had an emergency situation and they were on top of it and made sure I was safe...they have all of my business!!!

On our way to Point Pleasant, the brake line blew in our car. We called around to local shops and were turned away by all of them with poor excuses. Found a chain store and called them, were told to come right in. Got there and they then told us they couldnt do it as their guy that does brake lines wasnt there that day. Now we were truly stranded. Looked on the phone and found Aamco right down the road and went there. We explained our situation and they told us that they were pretty much booked for the day but they would do what they could to help us out. Not only did they help us and get the car fixed for us but they also drove us back to our hotel and came and got us when the car was done. Exceptional service from a business that is likely to never see us again just because we dont live there. They went above and beyond to help us to be sure that our time at the beach wasnt ruined. Great people, great company. If I lived near them, they would be doing all of my car repairs.

Terrible inexperiienced mechanics and poor repair service. Caused expensive damage to my car during a routine transmission replacement that wasnt completed properly. Tried to blame damage on me with untrue claims of car condition. Corporate office would not back up their poor workmanship.

Almost always Ken and his crew are there to help . Timing and pricing is reasonable but their technical knowhow is just fantastic !!

Service was thorough. Communication was slow. Dropped off on October 31, 2017. Was told we would be called. No call. Called 11 am Nov 1st, told call would be returned in an hour. No call. Called back at 3, was told they were backed up, we understood. Called back at 5:15 told car would be done following day. No call. Went to shop on Nov 2 and found that more work was necessary. Was told car would be done 3:30ish. Went back at 3, done. Just need better communication.

The people at AAMCO are a bright group of dependable mechanics who all work together to fix your car. They understand that cars are not just manufactured goods like washing machines and dryers but when driving, an extension of our-selfs, that we NEED (sadly) to use everyday and a mobile place of sanctuary that follows us at the ready on our next adventure.Also they do their best work with transmissions. Their rebuilt models work well and the pricing can not be beaten by any other local shop.

I went hear because of a referral from my father. My volkswagen had a rear main seal leak and was quoted a $1200 from the dealer, AAMCO did the same job for $200 less! Ken the manager was very accommodating and kept me in the loop through the entire process and even gave me advice about things I could fix myself to save money. Very honest people who are not just out to get your money.

My husband and I were on a road trip and started to hear something funky with my car. I have a 1998 Toyota Camry with over 130k miles on it. We ended up at this Aamco and felt that the guys here were very honest and professional. I feel the technician, Ken I think, knew what he was talking about. As a woman, I did not feel like I was being screwed over and when my husband approached to find out what was going on they told him exactly what they told me. What surprised me was that the owner came out, introduced himself to us and took time out of, Im sure his busy day, to talk with us. In a few hours my car was fixed and we were on our way!
