Love the new busses, although the previous ones were comfortable too. But this company’s best feature is their drivers! They do their jobs well and are very helpful as needed while always maintaining a positive attitude. I would never ride with anyone else!
Friendly driver. Left on time. Delayed getting to final destinations due to heavy traffic caused by rain and fog. Comfortable and clean bus
So happy they went out if business, they dont deserve our money! Had several issues such as the driver taking out and leaving our suitcases at a wrong stop, threatening to put me in the baggage department because I complained(thats the same crazy person ). When I reached out to the company, no action was taken. They let their drivers get away with treating passengers like trash. Rip, dear pb, theres a reason you have 2.5 stars, youre a joke not a business
Too many issues to discuss here. They are effectively Out Of Business.
I can only give one star as this company has not restarted service since last March, 2020, due to COVID. My hope - as Im sure is the companys - is that even a limited schedule can be started up soon.
Cant beat the Bus to Logan from exit 5, Sagamore or Hyannis...Relax
Has been shut down since March. People have found other means of transportation.
Drivers are very courteous. On the 2:45 Burger King bus today the driver couldn’t be nicer. Excellent service.
It would be a great improvement to service if the buses were trackable using a smart phone. Standing outside in miserable weather, wondering when the bus might arrive, is an experience I dread. This technology is available and it is being used successfully. Please celebrate the year 2020 by showing some vision into the future.
This is a great way to get in and out of the city but the two things you need to deal with it is there ticketing system which requires you to buy tickets on an app on your phone ahead of time and the chance that a bus will be cancelled with no notification. Particularly around holidays or busy traffic days they seem to cancel buses and I am presuming that is because the drivers call out sick and they dont have sufficient backup plans around that. One other note of caution is that some buses fill up so a ticket does not guarantee you a seat and I found that out in a scary way when I was catching a flight to Boston but luckily for me a very generous commuter into the city gave up her seat for me so I could not miss my flight.
I felt compelled to tip the balance of these reviews by expressing how pleased my family has been with the PB, as we have taken it nearly every single year for decades. Logan to Hyannis and back. We have found the service reliable, with rarely a major delay, and never had a cancellation. The drivers typically are courteous and helpful, though there have been a handful that I would consider rather gruff, but nonetheless do there job well. Remember they dont have an easy job! We will continue to use and definitely recommend the PB.
3 strikes and out!! This bus never showed and it the 3rd time it happened... emailed to obtain a refund, never got a response. Phone call to back up email and no response. There is no way to track bus to see arrival time and little or no info on schedule. In my mind this company is mediocre and are a group of thieves that capitalize on a monopolized route! They should be held accountable for their thievery! Do not use p & b! Seek alternate forms of transportation, unless you want to be stranded and miss your flight!
My family has used P&B for nearly 20 years. Our buses have always been on time and reliable. No matter when you arrive at the airport there is a bus shortly after your arrival to pick you up.
I love the P & B! I take this bus to Logan all of the time. The bus drivers are friendly and competent. Im so happy that I live just 10 minutes away and can park for free. Then Im off to the airport. Thanks, P & B!
I was able to buy a ticket on the bus.Infotgot to buy one on line.
Great drives i would get on there couchs anytime i need a ride left safe from start to finish
DONT TAKE THIS BUS. YOU WONT GET A SEAT. They make you purcahse the ticket online in advance because the drivers dont sell tickets. So you buy your ticket and wait at the bus stop for the bus that comes 10 minutes late (to the airport). And guess what? The driver tells you that the bus is full and wishes you good luck on the next bus, which of course, they also cannot guarantee a seat for you. This company should seriously change their ticket sales system so that passengers would purchase bus tickets for specific dates and times.
Poor experience - appalling actually! I took this bus from Plymouth to Logan Airport. Positive points are that the bus was comfortable and well air conditioned. Our driver was unbelievably rude to me and my family. He made several rude remarks while we were boarding and throughout the journey. He was loud, obnoxious and frankly he just wouldnt shut up. He let us know how much he was paid and constantly reminded us that he didnt care if we missed our flights or not.And at the end of all that he let us get off at the wrong terminal! I and my family I was travelling with believe that he did this deliberately based on his shocking behaviour. We had to rush to the correct terminal to catch our flight.I have made a complaint about our experience - something I have never done before! Not once in my life have I felt sufficiently motivated to make a customer complaint. But this around I was so in shock that I had to. Now thats saying something! I can honestly say that this is the worst treatment that I, as a customer, have ever received from an employee of any company in my entire life.
I have ridden the P&B many times to South Station from the Cape and really have no complaints! It has always been on time and the drivers are pleasant and helpful. There is one driver in particular who sings to us along the way!
We had an amazing experience with the Plymouth-Brockton bus. We took an overnight bike trip from Boston to Provincetown and used this bus line to get back to Hyannis to catch the CapeFlyer. Our awesome bus driver helped us load our bikes with our gear, and we had an ON TIME departure, and a wonderful, clean ride. Will definitely use this line again, and would recommend it to anyone.
“We have had occasional cancellations, but do not cancel buses left and right” – This is an absolute false statement, and anyone that rides P&B on a regular basis know that buses are in fact cancelled constantly. Our schedule was revised @ the end of June, based on an analysis of current ridership statistics - then why is everyone that is in line at South Station so upset every night since these changes?
Don’t take the bus when it snows! They don’t show up and then you have to take another bus and pay triple the money to catch your flight on time! This happened just this past Thursday 2/28 530 am bus NO SHOW!
Considering the craziness of Cape traffic to say nothing of the traffic into Logan, your company does an OUTSTANDING job of keeping to the schedule and the drivers are polite, helpful with baggage (and some jerks dont even tip!) and put up with a lot of abuse from ignorant people. I so appreciate the service.
I travel the world, and even in the most developing countries, Ive never been sold a ticket for a bus thats full. How on EARTH can your company not figure this out?! Not to mention, you guys rolled in a half hour late. I will NEVER attempt to use this bus line aim and strongly discourage anyone from depending on them. Now, I will likely miss my trans-Atlantic flight. You guys are unbelievable, and your bus driver was one of the rudest men Ive ever met. Im disgusted and furious.
The bus service is terrible! They have cut down on their schedule considerably and even so, they continue to cancel buses left and right. Its a poorly run bus line and I would HIGHLY suggest you either take the red line or the commuter rail than be inconvenienced by the cancellation of buses. I have heard Peter Pan may be expanding their service to the south shore to include Plymouth and Rockland. I am certainly hopeful for an option from a better run bus line.
I drive for Cardinal Buses from Middlebury, In. I brought a group in for 5 days to tour the area. Plymouth & Brockton serviced my restroom after a tm was sick. They made the rest of the trip pleasant for all of us. Thank You!
Bus was 40 minutes late, then spent 20 minutes dealing with tickets before we got on the road, still charged full price, would recommend taking any other option. Driver was polite.
Same as driving stuck in traffic I pick the commuter rail over this option to get to Boston they need to bring the trains to cape cod avoid the bus trains are faster and cheaper wish it would be better if you can make commuter rail connections at Kingston as a second option for people wishing to transfer
Bus can not be bothered to be on time, 25 minutes late and the driver was not pleasant at all, much better taking the Peter Pan, they are usually on 5 to 10 late
Ever since prices were raised my bus is always late and were lucky if the A/C is working. Instead of investing in WiFi on the buses, how about fixing the existing ones you already use? I never thought Id say this but Im going back to the commuter rail. I was very happy with the bus 2 years ago but it has gone steadily downhill and is now in a tailspin. NOT RECOMMENDED. Id call customer service to discuss my gripes but all you get is a recording. How about having a support number like a real company? Im not wasting time writing an email. Id happily talk to someone to discuss this but for now STAY AWAY FROM P&B!!!
Id give them a half star if I could as they dont deserve a full one. They exist so they have to have at least a half star. They left me and others standing at the bus stop at Exit 5 in Plymouth for both the 1:20 and 2:20 buses as neither showed up. I was told by one of their drivers that if a bus is full they dont bother stopping at all and leave you standing waiting for nothing. They never answer the phone to explain whats going on which at least if you knew you could find an alternative ride. Missed my flight because of it. Highly unreliable if your going to Logan to catch a flight unless you want to go a day early. Take Uber or Lyft, its the same cost or even less if you share the ride and way more reliable!
No heat on bus, called Hyannis office and it was turned on.
The most inefficient bus service I have taken. The Boston South Station office is manned by the most incompetent people. They are often on break, not there, and not aware. The contact service is abysmal. I am calling them right now (Hyannis) and the ringing is good but the pick-up confirms everything bad I anticipated. Wake up and shape up, P and B--you are an embarrassment to the Cape and to the bus companies in this country.
Customer service is really lacking. The bus will sometimes leave before scheduled time, and if you ever have an issue good luck with trying to receive a response
Was put off of the bus after being verbally abused by the driver and he accused me of producing a scam/fake ticket that clearly was over charged for ($55.00) instead of the ($45.00). Left stranded 30 mins away from home at 9pm on a Sunday night. Unacceptable
Have to say I love taking the P&B Bus to the Cape. Much more relaxing and quiet than the train. Pick it up in front of the Revere Hotel and let the driver worry about everything else.
After a wonderful week in Cape Cod, Plymouth & Brockton had to put a wrench in it as about 20 of us scrambled to find alternative methods to get to Logan Airport because your JULY 29TH, 8:40AM bus was a NO SHOW! The number of your bus company was on a sign there, but when we called it, the line was disconnected! Yes, you seem to cover your butt with a disclaimer due to various factors out of our control, we are unable to guarantee arrival time or connections; consequently, we cannot reimburse because a trip is late!! WHAT ABOUT A COMPLETE NO SHOW...through no fault of us waiting there??!. So, we lose what we paid to your unreliable company, and have to come out of pocket and pay for UBER, and you claim NO RESPONSIBILITY??? Nice way to run a company!! You keep our money and in effect say too Bad, so Sad! You should be ashamed of yourselves!
Since theyve adjusted the schedule and scaled back on buses, their buses are quite often full and dont stop in Rockland to pick up. For the third time, I was at Rockland this morning waiting for the 6:20 am bus. It was completely full and they didnt stop to pick up. If you have a meeting/appointment you need to make, DO NOT rely on this bus service. Youll be let down time after time.
If I could give zero stars, I would because P&B doesnt deserve the one star I am giving. I showed up at 4:45 am in Rockland for the 5:00 am bus today. The bus was a no-show. Apparently, the bus was already full so it couldnt stop to pick up passengers in Rockland. Now that there is no longer a 5:30 am bus out of Rockland, one needs to wait until 5:50 am (the next bus after the 5 am). This is the third time this has happened to me. A Logan passenger who was waiting for the bus, had to drive to Logan. As noted by other reviewers, the P&B bus line is unreliable. If youre considering taking this bus, I would encourage you to take another form of transportation to Boston. Its not worth the aggravation or waiting over an hour for a bus to show up!
Bought tickets online - waited for 5:05 pm Logan Express on 5/24. from Sagamore. No show and because it was after 5:05 I asked another P-B driver about the bus and he told me it had been cancelled. We were stranded and had to scramble to get to BOS. I would help if you had an electronic sign at the stop indicating arrival time /cancellations.How do I get a refund on 2 tickets @ $25 each?
Awful service all around.
Thankfully I havent used this service since last summer and I hope I never have to again in my entire life. I worked in Boston during the week and was home on the Cape on weekends. I bought a book of tickets not realizing it was meant for daily travel M to F to Boston and the tickets had expiration dates. So I called the corporate offices to explain my situation. I spoke to Janet (I think) and she said that they would honor the tickets even past expiry. Fast forward a few weeks of horrific Friday afternoon travel from South Station to Sagamore that included a bus breakdown, air conditioning not working (so they popped hatches open in the roof), and trips that took 3 hours rather than the scheduled 1.5 hours - all on separate occassions. I endured. This was cheapest and most direct way to travel. Then there was a death in my family and I had to stay in Boston longer than expected. This coincided with P&B going to an phone based ticketing system that made the paper tickets obsolete. Worried, I called the office about my final expired paper ticket and they said they would honor it. When I got on the bus, the driver immediately crumpled my ticket and threw it. I picked it up and explained. He told me to sit down and call the office for them to confirm my story (he let me on the bus because I explained that someone would be waiting for me at Sagamore at a specific time). So I called the office from the bus not knowing if they were going to toss me off roadside somewhere. I finally reached Janet and she didnt remember me or my situation! She said that she wouldnt have let me on the bus. This is when I lost my patience. Since the driver DID let me on the bus I needed to know what to do. Janet told me to buy a new ticket on my phone. I had a basic smartphone at the time and wasnt sure the on-line ticketing would work. Luckily I had cash for the ticket. When we get to Sagamore, I explain to the driver that I have to buy a ticket and I have cash for it. I bring my luggage over to the person waiting for me and the driver crumples into apologies. Basically he thought I had been lying about everything. So we walk over to the service station at Sagamore to buy my second ticket (the driver just leaves the bus full of passengers sitting there to complete this transaction - they must have been thrilled). We buy the ticket and when the driver scans it - IT DOESNT WORK. I walk away laughing with P&B in my rear view forever.
Ran down the bus at its last stop at Logan. Knocked on the side of the bus so he didnt leave. Bus driver opened the door to tell me he wouldnt allow me on because I hit his bus. There were empty seats and I had a ticket. He closed the door in my face and drove off. 9:15 bus from Logan.
AWFUL experience i will never take bus again! I was coming from logan airport told the driver 3 times i was going to HYANNIS, i get to HYANNIS and my $1500 golf clubs and luggage was left at the plymouth stop, out in the open for hours. Thank God nothing was stolen, however the last bus that arrives at 1245 had picked my stuff up. I left my phone number and my wifes phone number because they said they would call when the bus came in and i waited up for that. NO PHONE CALL I WAS WAITING FOR MY PROPERTY. I wake up at 7am the next morning and still no phone call so i called them and THEY SAID YUP THEY ARE HERE! WHAT TYPE OF SERVICE IS THAT. At least i should get a refund then HYANNIS tells me that i have to call the plymouth location, thats fine, however i call the plymouth location and im told that the gentleman i need to speak with is in a 3hr meeting!....SMH ITS THE PRINCIPAL THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!
Prospective travelers beware! This bus line is UNRELIABLE and cancels their service FREQUENTLY, often times leaving you stranded in a long line for a long period of time without any communication. They dont even deserve one star but it would not let me leave a review without it. AVOID this bus service at all costs. Not worth the money or aggravation... And I should know, Im an airport employee.
You just cant beat the price and convenience of the Plymouth Brockton line to get to Logan
I take the bus daily and I am happy I do not have to drive from Sagamore to Boston, pay for parking in Sagamore, incur daily gas expense, endure wear and tear on my car and on myself and do not have to pay an exorbitant parking garage fee in Boston. Buses on this route never leave early. They may be a little late, but that should be expected; nothing is perfect and traffic and weather conditions prevail. Buses do not break down weekly; its a rare occasion. Most of the buses are comfortable and I find all of them clean. Drivers are courteous and most get off the bus and wish you a good day when arriving at their destination. Thank you P&B.
They need to get new buses or repair the buses they do have. I take this bus 5 days a week and at least once a week a bus breaks down. When this happens, everyone on the bus (55 people) has to wait for another bus to come rescue us. And usually that bus only has a few seats open. Also, some of the buses drip water on you the whole way from the air conditioner. That being said, it is the cheapest way to do the Boston commute.
The only thing consistent about these clowns is that they are consistently late.
Extremely disappointed second time this happens unacceptable I bought a ticket for hyannis 8:15 pm the bus did not arrive and the schedule was changed several times until put 12:05 pm had to pay more than 120.00 dollars in an uber I spent half of what I earned in a week with uber this is very sad because I need to work 5 : 30 am tomorrow I could not keep waiting until 12:05 pm to change the schedule again this is very ridiculous with customers!
On several different browsers I tried to buy a ticket but it would not process any requests. Terrible service
Terrible experience. They cancelled the 9:45 pm Friday night bus from South Station to Hyannis, and didnt update the website or tell whoever manages signs at South Station, where both the overhead and gate 18 signs stated that the departure was occurring as scheduled. A herd of us waited patiently, and after an hour someone in line discovered that company had posted the cancellation on twitter, but not at the bus website, which we all used to plan our travel. Argh. At 11:30 pm, a few of us finally gave up and split an uber to the Cape.
Horrible, your driver gave away my luggage to someone else and I have YET to get it back. You guys are the most unprofessional bus service Ive EVER experienced. See you in Court.
Had a bad experience in March 2016 trying to get to south station to get on the Acela... the bus never showed up in Plymouth... other people waiting said it was a common problem either being very late or not showing at all. But I bought a r/t to Logan. Going was OK. Coming back on a Friday early evening after living through a direct hit hurricane in Bermuda. My son called me while on the bus. I was aware of the other passengers so I was talking quietly, I was seated 2 rows behind the driver. When he stopped he told me to end my call that there was no talking on a phone on his bus. I was embarrassed that I was scolded in front of the other passengers. But hung up. Fast forward to Plymouth. I got off & attempted to collect my 2 bags only to discover that the driver gave my large bag to someone who had gotten off in Rockland. The driver said someone would call me. Never happened. I tried calling many times Friday night & Saturday morning. Closed. I finally got through to an emergency number, & talked to the Head Mechanic. He said he would work on it. At 10:15 CVS pharmacy called me from Manomet & said there was a guy in their store that had my prescription from my bag & had my bag. He wanted to know if I had his bag!!!!No!!! His bag was somewhere in Hyannis.... PB personnel NEVER called me back... NEVER apologized, NEVER offered me a refund..... This bus line knows nothing about customer service. If you need to be there on time & with your bag.... DONT TAKE THIS BUS!!!!!
I have taken this bus from the Cape to Logan for over 15 years with few problems. It has been a lifesaver. I signed up for text messages regarding service. Recently an alarming number of buses have been canceled due to a shortage of drivers. This is very stressful when you have a plane to catch and no other way to get to the airport.
Horrible! Rudest driver!!! Go Peter Pan less expensive & you will not have to deal with mean, rude, fowl mouthed drivers! Im talking about the one in depot 1 today @ 530 out of Boston! Zero stars!!! We paid for reserved & are stuck in Boston!!! He yelled at me his bus is full & to go inside & figure it out... I will never travel this bus line & will tell everyone about my experience! Thank God for Peter Pan!!!!
Tuesday morning, 3 buses in a row never showed up...left me stranded...nice!
Second time we bought tickets for 8:15 and they suddenly canceled the travel, me and my wife had to take an Uber from Boston to the cape
Always late, cancelled and delayed. Drivers are mostly rude and dont care. Avoid if you can, and my condolences if no other option is available.
Nice clean comfortable ride
Dont miss your flight taking P&B to Logan! Very unreliable bus service. 30% of the time I have taken this bus it is a no show! Frustrating. Dont bother...
Very reliable and really nice drivers
Sounds like this company is garbage and their prices are higher than MBTA. Why bother
Friendly and helpful drivers.
Jeff the driver was not receptive
Cannot get through to speak to someone, and website is down. How can I use your service ?
Never showed ap Again
Generally 30-120 minutes late.
Super late !! 20+ min
Friendly drivers, mostly on-time service
Beautiful scenery
Worst service ever! Buses leave early. Customer service doesnt exist.......
