I took Dianes Self Defense class with a friend. It was SO informative and empowering! Not only did we learn about awareness but also how to get away from an attacker in several situations! Wish I lived closer to go to her full classes!
I loved theyre personalitys
Vision Martial Arts has been a blessing to our daughter. Her studio of 5 years closed last year. She was heartbroken and not sure she would find a place she liked as much. We then found Vision and Ms. Reeve. Our daughter has grown tremendously here and recently achieved Black-belt.It is truly a place for all levels and ages.
Very welcoming and affordable. Will continue to go back!Edit: wanted to say a bit more. The instructors and atmosphere in the studio are very warm and welcoming. The classes are great for beginners and those already up in the ranks. Highly, highly recommend!
Great activity for my Girl Scout Troop of rising College Freshman who completed the Vision Martial Arts University Safety 101 course. This well done course lasted 3 hours, was very informative and stressed awareness, prevention, including recognizing and then avoiding scary situations that can result in harm as well as how to not make yourself a target. The girls enjoyed the class as well as the hands-on instruction for basic escape and resistance techniques. When asked if the girls learned anything new, every hand went up, the instructors were easy to speak with and the girls asked some tough questions that they felt comfortable asking. Important information was discussed including risks of hazing, drugs/alcohol, making smart safe choices and dating/relationships which the girls will encounter as they are away. The instructor and owner, Diane Reeve who is a blackbelt nurse, helped to answer questions and the girls left with knowledge and greater confidence. I recommend every young woman attending college complete a course this course. The facility was very clean, masks were worn, social distancing was used and hand sanitizer was plentiful.
Booked a private self defense course during my vacation to Texas. My friends and myself absolutely loved it. Diane was very professional, informative, and encouraging. I absolutely loved the experience.
My 17 year old daughter and rising college freshman just completed Vision Martial Arts University Safety 101 course. The course lasted about 3 hours and taught awareness and prevention (recognizing and then avoiding or de-escalating situations that can result in harm) as well as hands-on instruction for basic escape and resistance techniques. What is more, the course includes information about the risks of hazing, drugs and alcohol, and dating/relationships that are part of the college scene for many students. The instructor and owner Diane Reeve is an 8th degree blackbelt and has both the training and the experience to instill confidence in her students. Whether its this school or another, I strongly recommend that every young woman leaving home for college complete a course like this.
My two young boys (9 & 11)have been going for about 3 months. They have already gone up 2 belts and are loving it. We go twice a week, have done a tournament, even a fun banquet and Friday night party. They have a summer camp that you can choose 1, 2, or all weeks which I think is awesome. So far we are loving it there and will continue to attend for as long as the boys are interested in pursuing higher belts.
Our son has been training here for over 3 years. The instructors are amazing and he gets so much more than just a workout! Lots of individual attention. Martial arts, self defense, leadership and life lessons!
Our service unit hosted a self defense workshop for Cadettes lead by the owner, Ms. Reeve. All the instructors and assistants were fantastic with the girls. The techniques they teach here are so useful and real world, the girls really benefited from the workshop & some hope to continue on taking regular classes here.
We have only been here for maybe 2 months but my child enjoys it and its the best. They work with you on the schedule and payments. Your child learns so much more than just how to protect themselves, but more of being responsible, respectful, and learning how to focus . This has helped my child in school and other activities
Recommended. Ive been in many dojos over the years and this one is one of the better ones Ive seen.Their little dragons program for little kids is awesome. The facilities are very clean and there is a dedicated area for parents to sit. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a dedicated warm up area as well as an area for private lessons with cameras to help see technique.
My girls had tried a few martial arts locations in the past. This is the first place that has kept their interest and inspired them to continue on. I love the staff & instructors too.
My son has been here for almost 9 month and has grown so much. He loves going to class and learning new stuff. They treat you like family and always do the best for the kids. My daughter just joined two weeks ago and so far loving it!
Our girl scout troop attended a self defense/personal safety class at Vision Martial Arts. The owner Ms Reeve was great! She taught at the girls level & gave them plenty of hands in oppertunities to practice the skills they were talking about! The girls loved it!
My daughter has really enjoyed being there, the activities and friendliness of the staff is great!
Was great at first and seemed promising. Love Debbie as an instructor, but her replacements was very unprofessional with my child. I believe this place is better suited for older children.
First of all full disclosure: I am the office manager and an instructor here. However, my family hasnt been here for over ten years for nothing! Ms. Reeve and Vision Martial Arts Center is in the business of changing and empowering lives and we are the beneficiaries of that and thats why we are still here; paying forward what we have received. The confidence that VMAC has given our kids (and us) has carried them through some interesting school years and Im secure knowing that it will serve them in the future as well. I cannot thank Ms. Reeve and her instructors enough for this blessing!
Enjoyed the class. Very informative and enjoyed practicing the various moves for self defense.
An amazing place! Ive loved being a part of this martial arts center. They are kind and caring and strive for excellence in everyone.
Diane and her team of instructors have been wonderful. At vision you are a part of a growing family that is focused on the traditions of martial arts as well as the safety of the students. Classes begin and end on time. My 11 year old son is having a great time learning martial arts and we have seen an immediate change in his confidence. After attending many of my sons classes, I decided to join the Kenpo program which is great for moms and dads that do not have the flexibility that they used to. Its been great so far and I look forward to continuing our training for many years.Thank you VMAC!
Every instructor ALL know their stuff when it comes to Vision! From fun and games and a gentle yet stern way to interact with the kids classes to adult training and fitness if you have the dream to be a black belt one day! Come see the difference at Vision!
Love this place and the people involved. Always professional and welcoming! Instructors are great and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable.
Bring your kids (and youself) to Vision. My daughter loves to learn here. The staff all go out of there way to make everyone feel confortable. My daughter says that some days she is just upset with school or friends and after (Vision Martial Arts) class she is happy again, it helps her to reset. I have seen her confidence grow, and I can trust that she knows what to do if a stranger tryes anything. Highly recommend Vision Martial Arts to anyone looking for Martial Arts. Plus they have camps in the summer and parents night out...just a added bonus.
Vision Martial Arts is a great place for kids birthday parties and they do wonderful self defense seminars for all ages!
My son takes class with Ms. Deb and she demands discipline and respect. She is so kind and caring, it makes karate so much fun!
Very new here but I would say that it is awesome very cool
Our experience with VMAC is young and new. We recently moved here from Indiana and immediately started looking for a dojo similar to that in our previous hometown. We love VMAC professional integrity towards my sons current belt rank while understanding he must still learn VMAC curriculum. The staff is excellent with the children providing a safe and comfortable environment for them to learn.
VMAC exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I did a lot of research looking for a martial arts center for my then 9 yr old son, and from our first lesson/intake evaluation with owner Diane Reeve I was completely impressed. She is an AMAZING instructor, with a background in education and nursing as well as being one of the most highly ranked women in martial arts. But the way she engages your child in a way specific to his personality to teach and encourage was probably the most impressive. I adored all the instructors at Vmac - never had anything but highest praise for any teacher there. We had to leave VMAC after a couple months due to my son having a congenital malformation in his knee that made martial arts too high impact for him to continue w/o pain or risk of further injury. The 2 months jack was there we averaged 4 classes a week, learned at a faster rate than expected, advanced 2 belts, and came to love the staff. I would tell anyone to just talk with Diane or have one lesson w her before you take your kid anywhere else. We live in stonebridge ranch, mckinney - surrounded by dojos - but VMAC is head and shoulders above when it comes to treating your child like an individual, and making martial arts much much more than just learning self defense or how to fight. this is a special place owned by an amazing woman!!!
