Found this gym by accident while eating in the neighboring restaurants. It’s group fitness classes are challenging and still feel personalize as the coaches are very attentive in correcting form and actually teaching.Incorporated barbell training which I love.Facility is very clean and well kept. This month they introduced a bingo game as an extra incentive to challenge ourselves with activities we wouldn’t otherwise do on our own.Personally I love this location and program so much that I make the 30min drive from Dallas to attend. Highly recommend trying this location out with their free week trial
I love this gym! I have seen significant improvements and gains in my strength, conditioning and form. I enjoy the small group class format with coaches who show proper form and encouragement; the unique 12 week workout program designed to increase strength; and the fitness challenges that are very motivating and fun. The class format pushes me to work harder and with more variety of exercises than I would if working out on my own, and it provides a sense of community with other regulars. I highly recommend this gym.
I have been coming Harter Strength and Conditioning for about 7 months and worked one-on-one with Cody for awhile. For each exercise/lift,he has taught me the proper form/mechanics to prevent injury while maximizing my results. He helped me set realistic goals to lose weight, and I was able to lose 40lbs in 7 months. He educated me on nutrition but reminded me that I have to put in the work to achieve my goals. While working with Cody one-on-one, I became more involved in the HIIT, LIFT and METCON classes available. At first I was hesitant because I was so out of shape, but the class sizes are small and the coaches are excellent at explaining the exercises. If I could not do an exercise everyone else was doing, the coaches had a modified version. Being involved in the classes has helped me maintain focused on my personal goals. The classes constantly push you and the exercises are versatile. I am always looking forward to a class! Cody makes this place a fun and exciting place to come and push yourself.
Great gym with excellent trainers. Class sizes are small which means that youll get instruction on form and techniques. Apart from that the 3 classes offered (LIFT, HIIT, and METCON) are all killer workouts and youre guaranteed to leave feeling better than you came in.

I love coming here. Its hard to put into words how awesome Cody is and all of the trainers here are top notch. The programming is excellent and each class is challenging in its own way.Members are super nice and fun to workout with. Cody and the trainers watch for proper form and are encouraging during workouts (which inspires me to give that extra push to finish strong).I fell off my training over the years due to work, grad school, and just life in general. The few times I did go to the gym it was a chore and not enjoyable. Harter Strength and Conditioning has made me fall in love with the process of maintaining a healthy lifestyle again and I am genuinely looking forward to putting in the work to reach my goals.Cody helped me with my nutrition which has made all the difference in my training and weight loss. The results I have seen from coming here have left me beyond excited. This has been a great gym experience for me! The class sizes are small, so I dont feel ignored when working out. The trainers do a great job of pushing us to our goals without over doing it. The programs are structured and easy to understand. The weekly challenges are a fun way to push ourselves to be better too! Since Ive starting coming here Ive lost 15 pounds and I feel better than ever! My fiancee and I are looking at purchasing a home and now we have isolated our search to this area knowing that we will want to keep our membership here!
Ive been lifting weights for over 15 years and Im just finally learning how to train properly working one on one with Cody. Ive learned a ton in a short period of time. The group classes are awesome as well. 100% recommend Harter Strength and Conditioning.
I was very fortunate to find Harter gym. Trainers are very qualified and patient with us. Love the small group size, almost like personal trainer. Focus is on strengthen and conditioner and posture. My energy levels and stamina have really gone up.It has become a core activity in my daily schedule. They also ran a run club in a very creative way that helped me train for 5k very easily
I had not been working out regularly for two years when I joined the gym in November. My goals include losing weight and gaining strength and balance.All the trainers at Harter are very supportive, friendly, and competent. Theyre amazing at modifying exercises if Im having trouble and pay close attention to everyones form while managing the group. All of the programming has been very well thought out including special workouts/challenges for Thanksgiving morning and Christmas week. As for COVID-related precautions - everyone wears a mask and special attention is given to cleanliness and communication. I feel very safe working out here.Ive gone from feeling exhausted 15 mins into the workout to really enjoying my workout. I feel much stronger now than I was two months ago AND Ive dropped some pounds :) Strongly recommend this small business that is helping me make big progress!
If youre looking for real results this is the place to go. Since joining this gym I have seen far more results compared to what I had been doing on my own. What I enjoy most about this gym is how the classes are designed for progression so you never feel like youre stagnant with your workouts. Each class is just as challenging as the last and I always walk away knowing that I had a good workout. Cody and his staff are also great people which makes going to the gym an enjoyable experience. Everyone is knowledgeable and is always willing to help you with your form and push you to do your best.

This is the best gym I have experienced so far & I have been to quite a few! Its almost like a private session since Cody gives attention to everyone working out. His individual attention & expertise sets Harter Strength & Conditioning apart from the rest.I have personally gained a lot in the last 6 months. Accomplished my personal best in the Dallas Half Marathon & also enjoyed the race!!The people I have met at the gym are encouraging, friendly & dedicated!! Best workout place I have been to. Cody is awesome and his team Micheal/Val too. Though it’s a group training session, you almost feel like a personal training session. He always make sure your form and technique is right before even going for heavy weights or high intensity. Very knowledgeable instructor, best part is he takes time to answer all our fitness queries/worries. Work out setup and planning is exceptional. Best decision I made after moving to Plano.

I have been training at Harters gym since the beginning of 2018 in Plano, TX and the results have been phenomenal. I have gained more strength then just going to my old gym. The classes are probably my best motivation to keep me going where I used to fall off with out the accountability I get at this gym. You have to try it out.
I have only been coming here for a week but I absolutely love this gym. The staff here are so amazing and supportive. It doesnt matter what background you are coming from you will find support and positivity here. I am so thankful I found this place.Update 3 months later: I am so glad I found this gym. The coaches are amazing and really take the time to help and guide each person through the workouts. It really has that family feel because the coaches really care about everyone and everyone attending the classes are amazing! I feel welcomed every time I come (even when I take a week off). It’s nice to come to a gym where people know your name and you are supported no matter what. Also, Cody creates amazing work outs that are specifically made so that each week you come the two classes (HIIT and Lift) work together to make a full body workout. It’s nice to have a variety and a new workout every time to really have that diversity in my workout routine. Thank you Cody, Val, and kaitlyn for being so amazing! ❤️
After years of back problems, I made the best decision I couldve made and started working out at Harter Strength & Conditioning. The entire experience has been terrific. My back (and everything else) continues to get stronger and more durable and I have progressed steadily in the couple years Ive been working with Harter S&C. Its definitely the best gym experience Ive ever had and I would recommend it to anyone.
Without a doubt, the best gym I have ever been a part of. Joining Harter S&C was the best decision I made for myself when I was looking for a new gym to join. Cody and the rest of his team immediately make you feel welcomed, no matter what your fitness level is to begin with. The lift and HIIT classes are always diverse, challenging, and fun, and I found myself able to lift and do certain movements I didnt know I could do before. One of the things I loved most about the workout experience at Harter S&C was that the coaches hit the perfect balance of motivating you and pushing you to go harder, without ever pushing you past your limit or trying to pressure you into doing anything outside of what you were comfortable with. This gym became a serious mental escape for me as much as it was a way for me to stay physically fit. Harter S&C created a fun workout environment for everyone and Cody and his team never took themselves or their clients too seriously. From the environment overall, to the coaches, to the equipment, to the workouts...this gym was a serious life-changer for me!
Cody Harter is a terrific trainer with a terrific plan. He has made me a better runner, and kept me in shape, while making it fun and interesting. As a 48-year-old, it was initially extremely challenging for me, but I stuck with it because I could tell the difference Harter was making, especially in my lung capacity and core strength. Two years later, I am extremely grateful for Harter S&C. Nobody else has a gym and group workout sessions like Harter. If youre looking for a great, consistent, challenging place to work out, with someone who will consider your age and injuries, who will push you outside of your comfort zone, but not (like some gyms) to injury, I urge you to consider Harters small-class system. Highly recommend.
I was new to the area and I could not have been luckier in finding this gym. The instructors are so friendly and I immediately started getting to know all the other members. Cody’s gym is extremely welcoming and has built a great community of people to workout with. This is by far the best gym experience I have ever had and I found myself getting excited to go to classes every day. Working out alone gets boring and I never seem to work as hard by myself, but Cody’s group training builds friendly competition and makes it easy to show up to an already planned workout program. Believe me when I say you will be challenged and see improvements in your strength and overall fitness, regardless of your current level.
Cody helped to change my running mechanics which resulted in significantly faster speeds. A truly rewarding accomplishment. He is an amazing running coach and trainer. He puts together great focused workouts that are challenging but attainable. Ive really enjoyed working with Cody...

Ive had a variety of trainers over the years and confidently rank Cody as the best of the best. He is truly invested in the well-being of his clients and is a student of his profession. He has a deep understanding of so many training methods, he can address virtually any fitness, rehabilitative or athletic goal. With Codys help, I have achieved things I never thought possible - I took up boxing under his guidance and am currently training for my 2nd amateur fight. Im stronger and more confident at age 36 than Ive ever been, and I credit Cody 100%. I enthusiastically recommend his services to anyone, no matter the fitness level or goal.
Ive been taking classes at Harter Strength & Conditioning for over a year now. I initially joined to improve my strength, and was taking the LIFT class twice/week (which works--my max bench press improved by 35 lbs and Ive gone from 4 to 10 unassisted pull-ups). I tried a HIIT class, which was awesome too, so I upgraded to the unlimited membership and now try to take 3-4 classes per week (good training for the Spartan Races). The classes have been great--Cody knows his stuff and is low key but encouraging. Meghan is great too! The other gym members are friendly and supportive, so I actually look forward to going to work out. Even after a year, Im still learning new exercises...and Cody is more than willing to modify a specific exercise for you if you have any injuries or physical limitations.
This is my favorite gym Ive ever been to. Both the lift and hiit classes are challenging and invigorating. Thanks to Cody and the other instructors, all great and encouraging people by the way, Ive gotten stronger, more toned, and dropped pounds. Highly recommend to anyone!
I was involved with Harter Strength and Conditioning since 2015. I started out as a member and it was exactly the type of gym I had been searching for. I was a multi-sport athlete at a private high school and then recruited to play collegiate ice hockey and the training I experienced throughout that time did not compare to what I received at Harter Strength and Conditioning. Between the HIIT and LIFT classes, I was not only able to develop all aspects of my training, but also proper lifting techniques. Also, I found myself looking forward to training, which was something that had been missing for me for quite sometime. Their tight-nit community welcomed me instantly and provided friendly competition every class.Eventually, I was recruited to be a coach at Harter. The staff were incredible to work with. We developed strong relationships with our members and were dedicated to helping them reach their individual goals. Our unique coaching style applied the personal aspect of private training to the group setting, which did not exist in many of the gyms I had been a part of. Also, many of the fad gyms focus on giving you a workout that leaves you exhausted, but with no understanding as to how its developing your training. At Harter, our programming helped our members from various training backgrounds move and perform better, whether thats lifting a heavy box onto a high shelf, running a marathon, or improving body composition, just to name a few.I could not be more proud to have been a part of Harter Strength and Conditioning. I am a graduate student in a physical therapy program and the knowledge and experience I have gained from my time at Harter has proved to be invaluable.

I had been living in Boston and bouncing from gym to gym for about 1.5 years before I finally found this gym and knew it would be the one that stuck. Cody is a fantastic and knowledgeable trainer who manages to make you instantly feel welcome into his gym community - while also pushing you to stretch your limits and improve your fitness. As a competitive distance runner, it can be tough to find a gym where the trainers understand how to design classes that give clients applicable strength. Cody is the first trainer I have found who is also knowledgable about running and truly understands how strength training can be designed to improve overall athletic performance. Going to Harter Strength & Conditioning has brought much-needed structure back to my strength routine, and I have seen great improvements in my overall fitness in the past six months. I cant recommend this gym highly enough - and would encourage anyone interested to attend a couple of classes - you will get hooked!
I joined this gym with the goal to reach a certain weight by the start of summer. I gained ~20 lbs in 8 months with the help of Cody and Im really happy with all the effort he put in to help me reach that goal. I will continue to exercise at this gym because they make it fun, and the classes are designed in a way that allow you to get out of them whatever you want.

I have competed in various Obstacle Course Races (OCR) over the last few years and my results have always been good, but nothing to brag about. I competed in the Open class and always failed an obstacle or two and my mile times were pretty sad. After several mediocre experiences with other gyms and trainers, I decided to take a chance with Harter Strength & Fitness. After meeting with Cody (he didnt call me Bro and he kept the conversation focused on my goals), I became a member and a personal training client. The results have been nothing short of amazing. After working with Cody, I finished my first 30 mile race, my average OCR mile time dropped substantially, I no longer fail obstacles, I now race at the Competitive/Elite level, and I finished with my first podium last week. This is not your average Box with average trainers. There is a great variety of classes (the HIIT WODs are fast and well thought out and the METCON workouts are legendary) and the trainers do a great job of explaining the workout, so dont worry about being a CrossFit expert. If you are at all considering joining a gym or hiring a trainer, visit Harter Strength & Fitness first.
Going to Codys classes is probably the most efficient, genuinely tough, work out you can do in ~ an hour. His small group training HIIT and LIFT classes are the perfect mix of arerobic and strength training and provide most of the benefits of having a personal trainer without the full cost of personal training. Classes are fun and challenging.Ive seen real progress in my strength over the past 6 months that I have been going 2-3 times a week. As a mom with a busy professional schedule, I find the ability to be in good shape without spending hours at the gym a huge benefit.Cody also does a great job tailoring the work outs to the participants who happen to be in each class. He can make classes easier or more difficult so that everyone in the group can participate. Ive seen this firsthand with starting up 6 months ago in terrible shape and now increasing the weights and reps that I can do. I push myself much harder because of the group atmosphere and have seen great results in terms of strength and feeling good!
When I met Cody my hip pain was keeping from running. Since training with Cody, Ive completed 7 marathons and keep getting faster.Also his group classes are amazing.
Harter Strength is hands down one of the best gyms there is in Boston! Coaches Cody and Meghan are two of the best in the business. They are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about helping you achieve your goals. They meticulously design each workout so you are always challenged. I have been a member of various gyms in boston over the past 15 years and none can even come close to them. I signed up for a class and I was hooked. I was doing CrossFit at the time ( for about 7 months) and immediately quit and joined Harter Strength and have not looked back. The results I have seen from these classes in only two months are better than I ever saw with CrossFit. So sign up for a class and I guarantee you will be glad you did!
Hands down the best gym/studio in town. Cody Harter has been my personal trainer for over 4 years and has guided me through one of the most inspirational and defining journeys of my life. I went from not being able to even do a burpee to running 5Ks, lifting weights and having the body of my dreams (after having 5 kids!) Cody also incentivized me to venture into doing a sport to keep my motivation and love for fitness high and purposeful. so I started doing Jiu Jitsu and I am now almost a blue belt! I have never felt so confident, healthy and stronger my whole life.I also take Codys classes several times a week. They are like no other classes at any other studio I have experienced. I have done Orange Theory, Barrys, Crossfit and Codys classes surpass them all. What is the difference? Every workout is meticulously created with a purpose. Every session has an expert trainer making sure your form is perfect and answering any questions you may have. I find myself getting bored and at times hurt in other places. Codys classes are always fun and different. You get it done in an hour and your are on your way knowing you just had the best workout you can find. In his classes you will see choices for HIIT and LIFT giving you the perfect combination to achieve the results you want.
