I took a dress there, first time they told me it would be $270 so I left the dress but I had to go back and get it back since I thought my event was cancelled. After knowing my event was back on I went there for the same things that it needed to be fixed the first time and they told me it would be $400+... (Same arrangements, NOTHING new except adding cups which I was told would cost $25) I asked why if I had been given a different quote just a few days before and she was surprised but when she checked her system she respected the original quote. The problem is: what is their method for pricing??? wanting to charge double for the same job seems very wrong. When I picked up my dress I asked them to fix something that made me feel uncomfortable... while I was getting dress the owner said out loud, Oh wow she is so picky... what kind of treatment is that? I was a respectful and paying customer. For $200+ I expect that my dress is perfect. I do not recommend this place, job was well done, but super expensive and rude by saying those comments about customers.

I had began alterations summer of 2020 before my wedding was postponed. When I returned in 2021, I felt a little discouraged and stressed that the staff seemed different but the owner went above and beyond making me comfortable again, was very responsive and checked on me multiple times to make sure I was happy. If I had to do it again I probably should have finished the original alterations (instead of pausing them mid-way) before taking it home for several months which maybe would have saved me some stress.

I called for an appointment and gave a very detailed description about my very large dress and was told they have worked with dresses of the size over the phone by the male employee. I made sure to be detailed because it is such a large dress from overseas, the male employee stated something about “Palestinian wedding dresses” to my surprise, and I was pleased because he sounded familiar with what I was going to bring in. Once I came, I felt so discouraged and even embarrassed because the two ladies complained the entire time of the size and how much work was going to be done in-front of other customers. They truly made me hate my own dress. Anyways, point is - please don’t be condescending in-front of other customers and make sure you speak to seamstresses before allowing customers to come in with large dresses. Otherwise though, it seemed to be a great place with good service from how I saw they handled the other ladies in there.

Legacy Tailor has helped me with numerous pageant gowns so it was only fitting for me to bring my wedding gown to them. All of my gowns have been intricate with beads, stones and/or lace, etc. They are very careful with my gowns and have always made the fit perfect.Service is always professional and friendly. They worked with me on my timeline and the prices are reasonable.I send all of my friends with bridal, pageant and prom needs to them! They are literally the only ones I trust with my gowns in DFW.

About six months before my wedding I called this tailor to ask about an alteration I wanted done on my wedding dress (having some tulle removed on the chest and back area). I described in detail what I was looking for and the lady on the phone assured me that it was no issue and the alteration could be done. She also assured me they have done much more difficult alterations than what I was describing.I should’ve brought my dress in just to confirm what I wanted done.Today I come in three months before my wedding day to get the first alteration done. I was told today that what I want done is not possible.I am most disappointed that initially I was assured my alteration could be done and that they did not even have me bring my dress by to confirm. That would’ve given me a lot more time to look for a different dress or find another tailor.Now I am in a rush trying to either find a place that can get the alteration done or find a new wedding dress.I hope that this location tells their secretaries that if a job sounds complicated - have the bride bring the dress by to confirm the job can be done. Absolutely disappointed.EDIT: I’m really not sure why you dont have my information down. I came to YOUR location today at 11:30 am with my 4 year old niece and my mom. My mother can also attest we were at the correct location (not to mention we recognize your shop based on the pictures in the other reviews). Someone told me to put my dresson and I did. I came out of the dressing room and the seamstress helped my mom zip me up because my mom was nervous about handling the zipper and risking getting the tulle stuck. I told the seamstress what I had envisioned and after telling me my alteration couldn’t be completed she stated: “how do you think I can do that?” I said “I don’t know - that’s up to you!” I said “if you don’t think you can alter it I will take it somewhere else” she said - “yes take it somewhere else”. I have no reason to make this up. And like I said my mother could attest to this encounter and conversation. Regarding the “secretary” I could’ve assumed it was a secretary when it was actually a seamstress. Regardless this was not a good experience overall. You probably don’t have me listed as a client because we left lol.

I am petite and therefore needed a lot of alterations done for my wedding dress. Legacy tailor worked with my sporadic work schedule to get me in to fittings and ensured a perfect fit and bustle in the months before my wedding. I would 100% trust them with your wedding dress or any dress!

Legacy Tailor was a lifesaver! Just as my dress came in and the alterations appointment was made with the bridal shop, COVID-19 hit and closed the bridal shop for business. The bridal shop was unable to take care of me in time for my June wedding, and highly recommended me to Legacy Tailor. Since they were in a different county with different regulations, Legacy Tailor was thankfully able to help! Legacy Tailor did an amazing job with my dress, was detail oriented, and patient! They were very informative throughout the process and showed me how to bustle my dress. I cannot recommend Legacy Tailor enough!

Beware of this place if you’re looking to get your wedding dress altered. They charged me $900 and this doesn’t include steaming the dress. They will tell you it’s because it is an “intricate dress” but I had a friend of mine have a similar dress altered for almost half the price and steamed. Shop around because this place overcharges their customers.

The woman at the front doing the measurements was very friendly, however when it came time to find out the price I was told it was going to be $300 for them to take up less than 1inch from the top shoulders and about 1/4 inch from the sides. That was almost the cost of the dress itself. I went to another tailor in Plano and was measured the same way and quoted $25 for the needed alterations. Very overpriced for such a small alteration need!

The service has declined immensely. The alterations are not comparable as they were about 1-2 years ago. Find out from the front desk rep that there is new ownership/management now. A little misleading as they kept the name and accolades from the previous owners.The customer service was also not up to par when I confronted them about an alteration at the hemline. We/they tried to figure out a quick fix but didnt seem to work, and I was still unhappy with the final product. The seamstress (that was working that day and helping me) laughed then told me, Its ok, no one is going to notice it. Youre being picky and complaining about something no one is going to see. Mind you, this was not her work but just wish her response and the customer service was better.

Just picked up my wedding dress(!) We had quite the roller coaster getting this done when I dropped it off just days before COVID and stay-at-home orders hit. The dress ended up staying there for over 3 months and the experience couldnt have been better given the circumstances. The owner even refunded me at one point when it looked like I might not make it over there for a second fitting in months.My subsequent fittings were as easy as could be, and they really listened to me when I said one strap fit differently than the other and I needed different bra cups. Also I found the price pretty reasonable and worth the cost. Could not recommend this place highly enough.

I had an issue the week of my wedding and they were able to get me in and fix my dress! They rushed it in time for my wedding day! Leeann’s Bridal does not do in-house alterations and recommended that Legacy Tailor (in Plano) be used for my wedding dress alterations. With only 6 weeks from receipt of my dress until my wedding day, Legacy Tailor was accommodating and helpful in making sure my dress was tailored to perfection. My dress had a lot of lace and I had concerns about getting it altered but Legacy Tailor proved to be experts and did an incredible job! They were flexible with appointment times and did the alterations over 3 fittings to ensure the fit was exactly as I wanted. They were detailed oriented in showing how to bustle the layers of the dress and they made the dress fit perfectly! I will be using them again for any future tailoring needs.

My hairdresser recommended this tailor shop for my wedding dress! I did receive my dress VERY close to my wedding date. They got me a quick appointment and I got my dress altered JUST the way I wanted. It was perfect and she was so sweet to make some recommendations for my bustle too. :) I even sent my groom there to get his suit altered.We will be back for more alterations in the future!! I was referred to Legacy Tailor by the place I found my dress. I was a little worried when my wedding dress came in late, and I only had 2 weeks to get it altered to have it ready for my wedding! I purchased my beautiful wedding dress at Winnie Couture. Unfortunately, since I only had four months before my wedding, they couldn’t do all of my alterations. My Bridal Stylist referred Legacy Tailor and boy am I so very thankful she did! Legacy did a wonderful job adding all of my crystals, beading, and appliqués. They worked with me even while I was far from home on military orders. They did everything I asked for, and gave me additional ideas, such as hemming the dress to make it look like one huge ball gown - which I did not know you could do! Legacy Tailor just has an amazing knowledgeable team, and I would totally recommend them to every bride.

I just picked up my wedding dress. I have had a horrible experience. They’re rude, absolutely no sympathy. They do not care about you or your gown or your wishes. I’m sure they will comment back like they did to the other lower stars but over all I feel like I had a 1 star experience.Paid $650 for my dress to have a fold on the fabric and be told that it was to small when it zipped and a lady had her whole arm down the top of my dress. ( also the hem was uneven and the inner most hem wasn’t the right length I asked for.)The next day I spoke with Ryan and told him I didn’t want it let out. Then spoke with Talbot and repeated that. My wishes did not matter. It was let out.When I said I didn’t like the way it felt they said they wouldn’t change it back.I love my wedding dress but 3/4 time I was in this shop they made me feel bad about myself.The reason for two stars instead of one is that they did refund me $150.Overall I felt like it was expensive even with the refund to not have the work I ask be done.

I’ve been here 3 times now to get my pants tailored, and they always do a good job of having them slim fit! No matter how busy they are, they are willing to help, so the wait time is relatively short, as well. It took me about a week to get my clothes picked up.

Extremely rude customer service. They took the wrong measurment. My wedding dress was so tight on top couldnt even breath. Didnt even get an offer to fix it. So so dissapointed.

I took my prom dress here last year to get it altered, and I was so happy with the result. I recommend it.

I went in today hoping for a same day turn around, and the staff did not disappoint. I needed the sleeves shortened on my blazer for an event this evening and it looks great. Highly recommend.

They treated my daughter horrible. The day we were supposed to pick up her dreas the hems were different lengths. Top layer right side was at least two inches longer the bottom layer was too short. There were problems with the bodice. They told her the dress was too tight. We left it for them to fix. When we went back to pick it up 9 days before the wedding, they had let it out inspite of the fact that we told them not to let it out. It was loose on the top. and they refused to do anything about it except refund some money. We took it to another tailor who was able to make the bodice tighter. BTW fir $650 for alterations you would think they would steam the dress. They don’t.

I was so worried about the fit of my wedding dress since I knew it would have to be altered a decent amount. Nagwa did an excellent job fitting my dress in all the right places!! I had a very long train that I wanted to be bustled in a certain way, and it could not have been better! Highly recommend lLegacy tailor, Nagwa, and her professional staff for all tailoring needs! I have already been back for a bridesmaid dress and formal dress alteration which have also been done excellently.

I came in to drop a pair of pants that just needed a button fixed. Didnt have to get measurements or anything. So I take with my dog (shes small, a 15 lb dog) me to drop the pants off, as soon I open the door I have this lady YELLING at me from the counter CAREFUL!! so I look around looking what to be careful with so she yells like 3 or 4 times and this other person comes from the back asks me if my dog is a service dog which she is not and says were not allowed in there. Thats all fine but maybe put a sign on the door???? Very rude people, cant speak about their work but after being yelled at Im not looking forward to going back. Would not recommend based on their customer service

Pretty bad. Told me my suit looked fine without any alterations; didnt listen to my instructions about the alterations I wanted (I said half-break, they tried to mark a full break); didnt measure and mark both sleeves separately--only did the right--so, predictably, the sleeves came out uneven. And they failed to open up the pockets. It felt like it was the first time theyd ever done a mens suit, and now thats how my suit looks and feels. Im sure theyd have redone it at no cost, but had they done it right in the first place, it wouldnt have to be redone. Im going to take it elsewhere.

They MADE my wedding dress exceptional. I even think it looks better than when I walked in with it, of course loose, some cleavage was showing, and the sleeves were not what I was hoping for...My wedding is May 7th and Im so thrilled with the way it turned out on my last fitting. She even added a little sleeve without charging me extra; whatever my heart desired, she just made it a reality all included in my initial quote. I HIGHLY recommend them. Overpriced & not the most pleasant to deal with. I had about 12 pair of dress pants to get taken in & her price was $20 per pair. I had her do work before & it didnt turn out great, but wasnt bad either. I thought I would try again, due to lack of time & convenience. Im hear to report that nothing has changed & can not recommend her. I had pants done very nicely for much less & used savings to buy a new sports jacket from this tailor.

I had a pair of pant needs to be prolonged and I found this tailor locates close to my house. So I went to her first and honestly, I wouldnt see myself go anywhere else coz I thought I was just asking for a very common service from a specialist. I was, however, deeply DISAPPOINTED and INSULTED by this tailor! She basically treated me like I owed her money (instead of a first-time-visit customer) and cant wait to collect it from me. She first explained how shes going to fix my pant (of course, in a unfriendly manner as well), then she THROW her little invoice booklet in front of me to show the price. Before I even understand what exactly happened, she declared YOU PAY, with her finger pointed at the price. I felt insulted and I decided to pick up my pant and leave the place. Before I opened the door, I turned my back and thought it still would be nice to let her know why I am upset and I said it was because I dont feel friendly here. Guess what she responded me? --- She smiled and said ITS OKAY!NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE WHO WANT TO BE RESPECTED.

THE BEST tailor in Texas. I am convinced, so dont even try to change my mind! I modeled a bridal gown for Vicki Christiansen from LeAnns Bridal at an open house at The Rosemary Barn and I was blown away at the phenomenal handiwork, especially since there werent any stitches. It was incredible. When it came time for me to be a real bride, I made the mistake of going to a tailor by my house in Fairview and I started panicking because it was clear they had no idea what they were doing- they were just sticking pins in places and I didnt feel beautiful at all. Luckily, Legacy Tailor is close to my work and they were kind enough to take me as a walk-in appointment at lunch. Nagwa is such a talented seamstress!!! I was immediately put at ease and all my worries were washed away. At my second fitting, everything was PERFECT! They were able to advise what color veil to get and even had one for me at the store. The alterations really couldnt have been better, and I felt so beautiful, sexy, confident, stunning, and radiant- all due to Legacy Tailor. My groom was blown away and I even wore my dress again for another shoot after my wedding. No matter where I live or how far the drive I will always go to Legacy Tailor for my alterations! I used to work at a prom and pageant gown store, and we would ROUTINELY send our gowns for alterations with Nagwa. She is the best with evening and formal wear and I wouldn’t trust my high dollar purchases with anybody else.

Nagwa has always done incredible things for me. I dont trust anyone else with my clothes, whether its making a jumpsuit fit properly or altering my gown for a pageant. Shes taken in a size 10 dress to a 00 and was able to leave the fabric inside, so I could let it back out to sell later. Nagwa is the best!

Wonderful staff and phenominal work!

I bought my wedding dress at LeAnns Bridal in McKiney, TX. When I ordered my dress they insisted on making me order 2 sizes bigger than the dress I had tried on. I thought that they had to know what they were doing, so I went ahead and ordered the dress 2 sizes bigger. When it came in the dress was incredibly too big. No part of the dress fit me. I was upset so they refered me to Nagua at Legacy Tailor. I took my dress to Legacy Tailor and she altered it to the best of her ability, while working with a much larger and wider dress than what I originally thought I was getting. I had 3 fittings before taking my dress home 3 months before my wedding day. I was content with my dress because I knew that Nagua had done all she could to make the dress fit me. One month before my wedding day I scheduled to take my bridal portraits. When trying on my dress I realized it was not what I wanted, it was still incredibly big at the top and was unflattering. I called Lagacy Tailor and took my dress back. Nagua completely changed the look of the top to fit me perfectly in just 2 weeeks. I picked up my dress today from her and I am so so happy with it. She was very worried about making sure I was happy with it. She is a very sweet lady and she truly cares about her customers!! If you have anything needing to be altered take it here!!
