We have used TMZ Plumbing several times. They are great to work with from the phone contact to the service people. They are fair in their pricing and do not take advantage of the home owner. Charlie has been the service person who we have had to our home several times. Professional, courteous, and does a great job!

Previous plumber used cement to seal around an outside spigot. Unfortunately water gushed out when using it and continued to leak. TMZ plumbers were able to remove the cement, fix the frost-free pipe, and reseal with silicone. Very pleased with their efficiency, professional work, and timely manner in response to my original call. Have used this company in the past and always pleased with their work.

I own a business and require ADA height toilets. The ADA requires MINIMUM of 17 seat height and 16 toilet were installed. We brought it to the installers attention the day they were installed and was told they would be replaced. (Months ago) Two more phone calls later to the owner and we have yet to get the correct toilets.

Called 5 other plumbers in the will county area and TMZ were the only ones that called us back. Had them rough plum a new basement bathroom and it passed city inspection the next day. Highly recommended! Great job guys!

Excellent service from initial contact to completion! The agent who made the appointment was polite and offered several next day 2 hour timeframes... during a heavy snow storm as well! The service expert, Charlie, text about 20 minutes before his arrival... it even had a photo of him... nice touch. Charlie (aka AJ HAWK) was totally professional and an expert in his craft. He made a quick diagnosis and offered a fair quote; then the repair and onsite payment were done within an hour. Would recommend and will be using again for all my Plumbing needs.

Wow!! I got 90% done trying to install a new hot water heater. Luckily, I knew when I needed professional help. I called TMZ Plumbing because friends recommended them. Wed been without hot water to two days -- needless to say we REALLY appreciated them sending a professional plumber to our house in 60 minutes. In less than an hour, he sweated two copper pipes, and connect the natural gas line. He showed me how the new water heater worked including how to light it (no more matches). Ah, but wait --- before he left, he said he thought he smelled gas. To be safe, he brought in a sniffer. Sure enough, one of the OLD connections, back from where he made the new connection was leaking. How much was that worth? Priceless. THANK YOU TMZ PLUMBING. Highly recommend them.

TMZ called to give me an approx. arrival time. Charlie went right to work. Removed the old disposal and installed the new one quickly, keeping me informed of what was going on. He even notice a very small leak on the water line going to the dishwasher and tightened it. Charlie made sure the disposal was working, cleaned up afterward, checked to make sure there was no leakage. He noticed that the water was very hot and reset the temp on the hot water tank so the water temp was safer. He definitely went above and beyond. I would recommend TMZ plumbing to anyone.

I had a frozen outdoor pipe that needed to be replaced. I contacted a few companies to get a quote and found the one by TMZ to be the most reasonable so I contacted them to schedule an appointment. I was able to get one the same day and was informed ahead of time via text who the technician would be. Charlie was very polite and explained what would be done and got the job done very quickly. Overall I am very pleased with the work that he did as well as company and have no doubt in recommending them to others to get the job done right.

I was very happy to find TMZ for sump pump emergency. Showed up in half hour and fixed my problem. I was so pleased that I hired TMZ for a bigger job to re-pipe my sump pump and add improved valves. The next day noticed water spraying from new valves. Took 2 days to show up to tighten the valves. Unfortunately that wasnt the end of our problems. The next rain storm brought lots of water into the pits and we discovered few problems linked to TMZ re-piping which caused 2 pumps to break within 2 days, lots of stress and additional plumbers costs exceeding the original TMZ cost of $575 as well as costs of new pumps. When called the owner on the day of emergency, I was told he will have someone come out. Waited all day, no one showed up. Late evening after 20+ unanswered phone calls, I was forced to find another plumber. No one has gotten back to me since than. Ghosting seems to be common with TMZ. Very disappointed, wouldnt recommend for anything else than a quick and easy emergency job. Sadly, I dont believe TMZ customer service cares much for existing customers.

We had just closed on our new (older) home and one day prior to moving in, TMZ came out and replaced our sump pump, fixed a pipe, and installed two new faucets amongst other things. Incredibly generous owner and by extension great plumbers to work with. Its hard to find a credible, fair contractor, plumber or otherwise. Todd was patient through a lot of questions when I first called about my sewer gas concern and when his guys couldnt make it out he showed up himself to take a look at my problem and didnt gratuitously charge me for his time.Youre always shooting in the dark when you decide to use the results of a google search but all the high marks from former customers made me feel better. I can now concur from personal experience that this is an honest company run by good people that I will definitely turn to in the future. I used TMZ to get a second opinion but they will be my first and trusted resource when it comes to plumbing problems in the future. Just a really great experience. Could not recommend more.

We came home from vacation to a flooded basement. Called Todd at TMZ on the recommendation of a neighbor. He installed a new sump pump because the old on had failed. All good right? Three months later during the next big rainstorm we came home from diner to....you guessed it, a flooded basement. The power cord had slipped because Todd did not take the time to secure it properly and blocked the float so the pump did not engage. More loss of property and time for a simple installation error. TMZ did send a different technician out (2 days later) who secured the power cords correctly and told me that it should have been done during the initial install. So, because Todd could not take the extra 3 minutes and two dollars worth of electrical tape to do the job right I suffered more losses. All further attempts to contact him have gone unanswered. They refuse to take any responsibility for the losses we incurred due to their shoddy workmanship. Stay away from this company. There are plenty to choose from.

Kitchen sink clogged while I was away for work. TMZ was able to come out within an hour of calling to get it sorted. Great service and Charlie was very friendly. He even had some recommendations that could keep the issue from coming back every year or so (sagging drain line in the basement). Would definitely recommend them!

After trying for many days to get a faucet and garbage disposal installed. Having several guys come out and never email the estimates or respond to text messages my son found TMZ Plumbing. We are so glad we found them! Todd came ready to work, gave us a reasonable estimate and did the work immediately! He made a common sense recommendation instead of doing a worse case scenario that would have cost us several hundred dollars more. Excellent work at a reasonable price. TMZ Plumbing was excellent. I had two small jobs and they were the only company that would take the job. My plumber Charlie showed up early, was thorough, neat, and answered all my questions. Pricing was very reasonable. I recommend TMZ for your plumbing needs.

Ruined my floor and refused to pay for it. Tech turned on water line that was disconnected after he was told not to. Owner agreed to pay but ghosted in the end. Be careful if they damage your property they won’t pay the repair bill. Not sure they even have insurance. They were never on time and never returned phone calls. STAY AWAY. Worst thing is the owner is my neighbor. Who screws your neighbor? tmz plumbing. That’s who. I hope the BBB can fix this for me. I’ll update this if it gets resolved otherwise it will be an expensive lesson.

We had an issue with our hot water in our Master Shower. Todd, the owner, came out personally and quickly fixed the issue same day. I fully recommend using TMZ for any plumbing issues.

We had a pipe burst and called every place that said they were open 24 hours. Were put on wait lists with 5 other places. Didn’t even leave a message for Todd because we thought we were just out of luck for the day and would wait it out. Todd saw the call, immediately called back and was here within a hour. He quickly took care of the problem was courteous, friendly and reasonably priced, especially given it was an emergency on a Sunday!

Uninterested in helping former customers even when they did the work. Update 11.21.19: did call and left several messages the day we needed their help. They do not seem to have more than 1 person on call. They seem to have a good plan for scheduled calls during normal business hours. Not a good company if you need after hours help. Response from staff that finally answered my repeated calls was just sorry when my basement was filled with water because of their poor install and failed sump pump.

Highly recommended! This was the only plumber I called that would come over to my house to fix the leaking toilet that day - everyone else had a wait list that lasted until the middle of next week. They dont call you back when you leave a message. They put in our water heater wrong, it was leaking gas. I was having an issue with the water heater recently and although it says they have 24 hour service, thats a lie. I called at 3pm in the afternoon and they had no one available. Horrible customer service.

I have used TMZ 3 times in the last 8 months. Always professional and always do an outstanding job at very fair pricing. You cant ask for much more than that. This last time Todd came on Saturday night to diagnose the issue and then Sunday AM to fix it. I found my forever plumber!

The plumbers that came to fix our issue at our business were timely and did indeed fix our issue. But, they walked away from the toilet while it was off, and there was waste that bubbles up, spilling all over the carpet into multiple areas of the office. They did a once over with a shop vac, but I obviously had to call out a professional carpet cleaner. I have tried, unsuccessfully to work with the owner as I believe his company should have taken more responsibility for the spill. Accidents happen, but a little proactivity could’ve saved this situation. Plastic could’ve been placed in the hallway outside the bathroom, and the owner could’ve apologized and given a discount for carpet care. I need to protect my employees from the hazardous situation that was created. As a business owner myself, I am concerned by the unavailability of the owner of this company. I would’ve liked to have a found a plumber I could use in the future for both my home and my office. Very disappointed in the inactions of the owner of TMZ plumbing.

I had a problem with our kitchen sink stopped up and Charlie from TMZ came out to do the repair. It took him 1 hour to finish the work and he cleaned up and put everything back under the sink. TMZ was very prompt, did nice work and I would call them again.

Saved me the cost of a new water heater by diagnosing the problem correctly and suggesting a different course of action. HIGHLY recommended!

Had a problem with the toilets not flushing and Roto Rooter came out to rod the pipes and after a days work, they diagnosed the problem as a collapsed or corroded underground pipe that needed to be replaced. A $4600 quote for breaking the concrete, wall, tearing up a bathroom and replacing the pipe made me call TMZ for a second opinion. They came out and successfully rodded the pipe and it drained like Niagara Falls in about 2 hours of work. Thank you TMZ!
