My husband booked me a massage on my day off at 9am as I am struggling with neurological issues and thought this could help relieve some stress. I was so excited for it. They called me at 8:36am and cancelled the appointment. They said they could change the service to a facial but not a massage. I declined. They said “we will call you if we get any cancellations or we can reschedule for a different day.”I never heard anything. Made me feel like they just don’t care about their customers/clients.

Wouldn’t have even given the one star, DO NOT sign up for any membership I was told by Colleen she would put in for an immediate stop on my account, I get a call today saying my account was suspended ( after I filled out forms for cancellation) after I didn’t receive forms that were to be emailed to me in a timely manner. Find a different place to get massages and spend your money now after me paying for services that I couldn’t use because of my job they just swindle led me out of my money. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE MEMBERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS A JOKE

In my recent massage Gina was great. Colleen, the manager, is hurting the business. She is rude, dismissive, and so un-client-servise oriented. She word-wrestling with a client?! She is trying to be right?! She might be good for the accounting of the business, yes, but she cannot be in a client relationship post or in a post to manage people. She needs to improve, to be trained or she will make the clients to dislike this branch.

My recent massage with Josh was great. I work in front of a computer most of the day so didnt realize how much I needed a massage until I walked out feeling like a new man. I appreciated Joshs explanation of my muscle groups that needed the most work as it demonstrated his thorough knowledge and made me better aware of the areas I strain sitting in front of a computer. The front desk person was polite, professional and quick in checking me in/out. Would recommend to anyone.

Therapist are awesome. Management is a problem. Do not ever sign a contract with them. Do not let them keep your credit card on file. Once you become a member they automatically take out money on your credit card every month, even if you are unable to visit them. You can have several hundred dollars of credit, but there is no way to get a refund. You cannot cancel without making additional commitments. Even when you cancel your membership with several hundred dollars of credit, you cannot get a refund. Then out of the blue a month or two later they resume billing your account. (Even with several hundred dollars credit that they will not refund) Sometimes you can cancel again, they may refund the additional charge they made illegally but it will take several calls. You cannot get a refund on the several hundred dollars credit, and you cannot use the credit for massages because you are not a member without getting the monthly charge. You cannot transfer the credit to a friend or family member. My wife canceled her membership at least 6 months ago, but this week Massage Envy charged my discontinued card an additional $110. They keep saying they returned the money, but have not. I have about $900 credit that I cannot access and will not be returned, now they illegally take an additional $110. I have found that I am not the only client with this type of experience. Overall this companys membership package is a complete scam when you are unable to utilize their services. No refunds, no transfers, very difficult to cancel membership. Even when cancelled they resume your membership and billing without permission. I have been waiting almost a week for return of $110. And know that the other $900 is lost because of companys unfair policies.

I will give this location a 5 Star but Massage Envy as a company I would give 1 star.Plainfield location...Front desk woman was fantastic. Very nice, super calming, explained everything, gave options but didnt push any of them on me. Massage Therapist, Ally...Amazing! She was very informative, inquisitive and an outstanding masseuse (sp?). I will go back just to see her.Massage Envy Company...I bought a membership for someone else at a location that is no longer convenient to get to anymore. I tried to cancel the membership and they wouldnt allow me to unless I went to that location which is ridiculous. On top of that, I pay for a membership for someone but am not allowed to take advantage of membership pricing when I get a massage, again ridiculous. I would recommend against paying for a membership and deal with the extra cost of nonmembership just so as not to deal with the BS of the membership.

The staff here has been super friendly and helpful. I took my wife here to get a massage for her birthday. I went soon after, and now we both ended up with a membership! Lol My wife and I both love our massage therapists and always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. Its worth every penny!

My fiancee and I came here for the first time today and had an outstanding experience. We both got 60 minute sessions and got exactly what we each wanted and were comfortable with. We had Monica and Jeff, and we were both very happy. We signed up for a membership as well.I dont think enough people take the time to listen or read agreements they sign. I see a lot of reviews on here with angry people saying their credit card is being charged still even though they tried to cancel.I can understand that frustration, but for us it was very clearly explained exactly what we were signing up for and it says right in the document you sign that you will continue to be charged for a year even if you cancel.This is simple stuff.. These other reviewers strike me as the type who want to break the rules or expect they can circumvent a legal contract they signed by reviewing poorly or saying they werent explained the terms. What they agreed to is in plain English in the one page document they had to initial seven times!!!We are so happy with our service that we know we will continue to come back here for a year. Thank you guys for the amazing service!

Very nice staff. They set clear expectations of what the experience would be. Colleen is great. Would give 5 stars, but 10 minutes for changing is a bit much. I’m glad I had a 90 minute session to offset this.

This is the best Massage Envy I have been to. The desk staff are always very helpful and positive. I have seen several therapists and all were great. Currently I see Sal who is very knowledgeable and passionate about his profession. I have some specific issues that he addresses and he keeps me feeling good.

Everyone is so friendly! They make sure each experience is amazing. From helping decide which massage therapist I get over the phone, introducing them to me when I come in, and having my massage therapist customize each session, there is no wonder why I keep coming back! Thank you!!

Therapists were awesome. As for ME as a company, absolutely awful. Do not join the monthly subscription. If you go to cancel your subscription you get billed for the entire next month even if you are one day into the new billing period.

Heather is the best!! Shes the only person I know that can get my knots out without making me feel as if a dinosaur sat on me. Shes so friendly and gives great advice. Shes amazing with prenatal massages!

Definitely do not recommend this place! Especially for employment... something tragic happens...TRAGIC personally and you have to rush out. They say go ahead and keep them updated as if they care... and theyll send you an email to tell you youre fired. Cant even call to do it in a more professional manner. Email to hide behind the computer screen...Stuck up horrible managers that do nothing but brag about their positions. Its a rotating door for associates. 🤔 wonder why. Go find a place cozy spa. This is why I stay away from corporate places. Wish I could give 0 stars.Have a good day!

I have been to other Massage Envy stores and I love the Plainfield location. They are accommodating kind, and the therapist I see, Andrew, is hands down the best Ive ever had in 25 years of getting monthly, or more frequent, therapy. I have been able to scale back to once a month from weekly visits after finding him.

Rude receptionist is hurting this business. She makes long term clients to not want to come back. Business and revenue is lost by this receptionist. I wouldn’t invest in a franchise that doesn’t train the employees on how to add long term value via long term relationship/partnership with the clientele. Ownership take notice.

I am very disappointed with this company, I had transferred my massages to another family member and canceled my account or so I was told. No payments have been withdrawn from my account for almost 5 months, now all the sudden there is a $200 withdraw from my bank account. I called Massage Envy quickly and was told that they had been trying to contact me and gave me some number which was not mine that they had tried to contact several times. I feel taken advantage of and so far I feel like I have gotten the run around. Companies should want to keep clients by customer service not charging large amounts of funds 5 months later. I will not be recommending services for this company. Will be contacting BBB as well as rating this company on several other sites to warn other possible clients. Just looking through the other reviews I see I am not alone.

A awesome experience from the customer service I received by Dameisha to the outstanding prenatal massage by Dustie! Dameisha was kind, knowledgeable about the membership plan and services. Most importantly, she worked the schedule out to fit me in for a much needed massage. As for Dustie-WOW! Dustie massaged me with pure confidence and relaxed my entire PREGNANT body. I couldn’t believe that they still serviced me while in my 1st trimester. Dustie is definitely skilled and outstanding in taking care of the pregnant people. I can only imagine how she would service non pregnant people!! God willing, I will be seeing this awesome team of people once a month!!

I had a minor issue with my massage and as soon as I mentioned the problem, the owner herself called me and took care of the problem immediately. This location is very prompt and take very good care of their both their clientele and, from what I can tell, their therapists.

Bunch of crooks. I cancelled my membership because my chiropractor said it wouldnt be helpful to continue going so I let them know and sent them a formal letter. Then 8months later they charge my debit card $400. No call, no warning, no explanation. What a joke!

Warning, do not sign a contract with these people!My 70 year old mother made the mistake of signing a contract for one year and giving them her debit card number, total mistake! She tried canceling the contract after the year and they ran her around for half a year until I stepped in and brought it to an abrupt end.I ended up having to file a complaint with the BBB and speak to several managers and even now they still call!Be weary!

I called and scheduled an appointment for certain day/time, they rescheduled my appointment for same day but much later time, I arrived at original time and they tell me sorry for my unconvience but if I cancel on them I have to it by close of bus diner the day before my appointment. What nerve and poor customer service. I was so disappointed

MAKE SURE YOU READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING! I signed up for a 6 month contract. Took it at face value that what I was signing was what I was told. Found out that it was a 12 month contract I had signed. DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
