Pittsburgh Tutor is the BEST! We have worked with Carolina for our middle school and high school math & she is AMAZING! She is a phenomenal teacher who has the gift of meeting kids where they are and moving them forward at a pace that matches their skill and keeps them up with their class! I found Pittsburgh Tutor one month prior to the pandemic after my sons math teacher contacted me suggesting that he could benefit from additional help. She communicates and updates me regularly about my sons progress. My son really likes working with her each week and he has grown academically. Rose has been an incredible tutor for our second grader. Rose is patient, focused, fun, and encouraging, and our daughter has gained skills and confidence as a reader. The curriculum is excellent and meets our second grader right at her level, and Rose recognizes when its time to slow down and spend more time and when its time to move to the next skill. Usually when you ask a kid time to go to the tutor they are hesitant but my kid enjoys it....It surprises me not a single complaint on going he actually gets excited all because of his tutor Miss Casey!! We hired Essie over the summer to help our son transition from a laid back private school to a more rigorous public school. We were immediately struck by Romans friendly and positive attitude and his ability to get the best out of our 15 year old son. Essie is nothing short of a miracle worker! I took my son to her for reading help toward the end of his second grade year. He was more than year behind grade level expectations, struggling terribly and convinced that no amount of effort was going to help him learn to read. Under Essies guidance, he gained the reading skills to catch up with expectations for his grade level in mere months and learned that reading doesnt have to be the punishment he thought it was. Essie has been GREAT with providing tutoring sessions for my daughter who has been struggling with reading. My daughter has increased in the sight words she is able to read as well as blending letter sounds to read new words. Essie has been a wonderful addition to my 1st grader’s (soon to be in 2nd grade) education.
