They were excellent help in preparing me for the SAT. They gave me a refresher on all the topics I’d need. They also taught these topics not like school, but in the POV of taking the SAT. I would recommend it 100%

I highly recommend Pittsburgh Prep’s college essay guidance services. Rob is patient, insightful, and extremely knowledgeable. He is fantastic at what he does. The essay guidance is a wonderful exercise for your child to work through in many ways. Our daughter has taken the SAT Prep course with Pittsburgh Prep as well. Both experiences have been great and very, very helpful. Excellence all the way around from the staff from communication, to knowledge, to helpfulness and making it a fun and an overall invaluable experience.

I had a phenomenal experience working with Josh! He worked with me to help prepare me for my GRE exam. Not only did we work one-on-one via zoom but also provided me with materials and work that allowed me to improve my progress, daily!Not only did I learn the material but I learned study skills and I also gained test taker confidence. Pittsburgh prep is amazing!! i am so thankful to the team there, especially hoon, alexandria, and josh, for being such wonderful educators. their SAT courses are so worth it-- we got to go over a lot of topics that were super beneficial on the exam, especially those that i hadnt learned or talked about in a few years. the classes were also really enjoyable! even though it is a bit of a time commitment, it is totally worth it. they are a huge reason as to why i was able to get my dream score, and i would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a good standardized exam boost. thanks so much yall

Pittsburgh Prep...is the best SAT & ACT prep coaching classes in Pittsburgh Area. Hoon went above and beyond in tutoring & helping my son achieve his target SAT score. Pittsburgh Prep program is excellent and they work ! My son showed a significant improvement in his SAT score. Before this, I tried private tutoring lessons and they were not as effective as Pittsburgh Prep teachings.I highly recommend this place from my own personal experience which has been awesome !

My daughter received over $50,000 in merit scholarships because she reached the threshold SAT requirement for the National Buckeye Scholarship and the Trustee Scholarships at Ohio State University. This was a direct result of the work at Pittsburgh Prep. Without Pittsburgh Prep, she would not have been able to attend the school of her dreams and would not have been eligible for these great scholarships. The system they use is distinctively different and far superior to the other ones I used for my older three children. Be ready to work hard and be rewarded greatly!

Great program in general. As long as the work is put in and you take full advantage of the program it works wonders. brought me up to my goal score with ease. I had Phillip Lee but I believe he is gone. Good program in general tho.

My older daughter took the summer program in 2014. Her scores went up by 300 points between the first and last days. Taking the test weekly taught her to keep track of pacing and the reading comprehension and writing techniques were her most significant lessons. She loved her time in class and was actually sad for it to be over! She insisted that her younger sister take this class this summer, who will benefit from instruction on math skills. I highly recommend this program.

Pittsburgh Prep, with two of the best tutors, Josh and Hoon, is great, and after reading a few comments, I do not understand the criticism. From my first day in the summer program to my current days of tutoring, Hoon and Josh have always been energetic, fun, and outstanding. Their delivery is on point and consistent. They treat me like family and always work to get me better and strengthen my weaknesses, motivating me session after session. My Sat score went up by 200 points (and rising) thanks to them, and I couldnt be more happy to have been guided by them as my mentors!

Pittsburgh Prep is just terrific with the SAT! The amount of SAT knowledge that Hoon and Josh have with them is just incomparable to the many of the other instructors that are out there in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Before attending Pittsburgh Prep, I had participated in two other SAT prep programs, but my score didnt increase much. Plus, those SAT instructors didnt pose as much in-depth knowledge about the SAT compared to Hoon & Josh. I had first attended their 65-hour School-Year Intensive course, and I learned all sorts of helpful techniques and fundamentals Pittsburgh Prep had prepared for us. My score increased by about 180 points by the end of the class! My lead instructor throughout the course, Josh, was very helpful, and always wanted me to do my best! He would often go above and beyond to spend some extra time with me after the course if I was confused about any of the content that day. They also have a ton of material with them, and if you wanted extra practice on anything they would always have some for you to do! They also offer a tailored Private Tutoring program, and I found it very helpful for you if you want to get a competitive score for colleges. Their rate for Private Tutoring/Intensive course are a bit on the expensive side; however, I find Pittsburgh Prep to be a significant investment towards my College plans, and I appreciate the amount of effort Hoon & Josh have put in to help me increase my scores.

Pittsburgh Prep is an amazing place because of the teachers! Hoon and Josh have cared about my education and me more than any other teachers have in my life. They go above and beyond to help me exceed. I wish all my teachers had their hardworking, helping, and encouraging spirits. They not only taught me SAT skills, but skills I can use for the rest of my life. Josh and Hoon will always answer any questions you have. Josh will spend his lunch break going through a math packet with you because he wants to help. Hoon spent a whole Sunday tutoring and teaching anyone from his class who wanted to come, without extra charge. He was not required to create that session but he did because he cares. Do not listen to any negative reviews, they are completely opposite from the truth. Even after the intensive session was over, we still get emails from Hoon and Josh with SAT resources and tips. You will not regret coming here. Their course is extremely helpful. You will need to put hard work in, but after all nothing comes easy, especially a high SAT score. Thanks Pittsburgh Prep for all you continue to do!

Worst experience of my life! Very unprofessional. Hoon would cancel appointments the day of. Kept taking money from us, but not actually helping my daughter. He was partially the reason she had a mental breakdown in December 2015. This course did nothing to help increase her score. Take your money elsewhere!
