I live in a luxury apartment complex with Schindler elevators and they are down more than they are operating. It takes them several days to fix only to stop working again. I would never recommend this company.

We have used them in 3 Of our New hotel projects in past 5 Years and Now we regret it every bit of it. Rather, pay little bit of more money upfront and get a better company rather than dealing with the SCHINDLER. Their service rates are ridiculously high. I hope their employees make 25 % of that rate what they bill hourly.Even though you have service contract, basically NOTHING IS COVERED SO Stay away from the SCHINDLER ELEVATOR COMPANY AND SERVICE CONTRACTS FROM THEM AS WELL !!!!

We have repeatedly asked for a copy of our service contract by email to multiple Schindler employees. They charged us $900 for an annual pressure test that is only required by the state of pa every 3 years. They refuse to give us documentation on this test. The state has “NO RECORD “ of this test being done. At this point we have no choice but to go to court to get an order compelling them to produce the documentation. We have no way of knowing if this $900 test was actually done. Without documentation we think we may have been defrauded by them.

Ive been in business over 40 years. I developed a facility that requires and elevator and tried to work with this company. DONT DO IT!

Had an emergency situation with people trapped in an elevator with one eventually requiring medical treatment. Called Schindler as it was their elevator and they REFUSED to send a tech out to assist because we did not have a service contract with them.Their supervisor made the call to cancel my request despite me pleading on the phone over and over again to assist, especially when I found out one of the guests in the elevator was having difficulty breathing.Instead the operator constantly regurgitated, Well sir, without a service contract... Just utterly ridiculous, thank goodness the fire department was eventually able to extract the people trapped inside. Someones life was in danger and they cared about service contracts even after I said I would pay whatever they wanted. I will never deal with Schindler ever again.

HOW CONVENIENT I HAD A RUN IN WITH A DRIVER & HE WAS IMPERSONATING A POLICE OFFICER IN WEST MIFFLIN,PA CALLED THE COMPANY & MYSTERIOUSLY THEY CANT SEEM TO FIND THIS DRIVER IN THEIR SYSTEM ANYWHERE . G.P.S.S ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN EACH VEHICLE . NONE IN THIS ONE . DRIVER THREATENED WITH OBSCENE LANGUAGE & BODILY HARM .

Our elevators at my work are serviced by this company. One of our elevators breaks down at least once every couple weeks and is down for hours. Everytime the elevator breaks down it is the same issue as well, an issue that schindler has dealt with multiple times and still has not come up with a permanent fix for.

Great service

I live in a retirement community in which there is ONE elevator - Schindler. I have lived here for 6 months and the elevator is inoperable on the average of at least one day a week sometimes 2x in a week for a couple of hours. The only way in has been a side door leading to a stairway which has been unavailable to residents because the door was not fitted for entrance in until recently when a fob entrance device was installed but NOT ACTIVATED. AND some of our residents CANNOT access stairs. I am thoroughly disgusted with this company.
