This company sells and installs home elevators. Home elevators are rated for less than 1000 pounds. For the last five (5) years they have provided both sales and service go me via their primary home elevator (the company has other divisions)I have found this company to be professional and they provide excellent service. Ive had the same service technicians and they do very good work. Plus, they corrected a glitch with the manufacturer early on in the installation without any hesitation.I could find no evidence of any Ive seen alleged in other reviews

My parents stairlift stopped working at the worst time! My step mom just came back home from being in the hospital for a few days so I contacted James R. Pitcairn to see about repairs. They responded immediately and serviced the stairlift which my parents totally depend on, especially right now. The service tech was also extremely courteous and professional. I as well as others are currently in litigation with this individual. He never started my home elevator project and took the $15,500 deposit. I know the exact same thing happened with one other individual. The elevator company from ohio which stepped in to do the work he never started, tells me that the same has happened with dozens of other individuals in the pittsburgh area. I filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office and the BBB as well. This has been a nightmare for me and my family
