Limb was dangerously hanging from a tree in front of our synagogue.Mike (sales manager) came out within the hour. Gave me an estimate and said he might be able to get to it same day or next. In about 30 minutes there were 5 guys removing debris and 1 climbing the tree and taking down the branch. The owner stopped out as well. Knowledgeable, fair price and pleasant to work with.We will have them back end of summer to trim all of our trees.

Thieves stay away unless desperate emergency. They will respond quickly but Way over priced. Quoted me $12000 for 1 tree removal Said crane would cost that much. I.have been in business 45 years and used many tree services over the years. Never paid more than $5000 for a crane for the day. STAY AWAY UNLESS DESPERATE. Got job done for $2500 from another bidder

They showed up exactly when they said they would. They were very methodical and professional in removing the tree from my backyard. Cleaned up all the debris and even stuck around to answer all my questions. Amazing job!

Absolutely wonderful company. My son and I were listening to Christmas music on the radio this winter and heard a spot for Greater Pitt Tree Service. In it, they said they cut trees down for WWII Veterans for free. I immediately thought of my grandfather who was in need of just such a service, so I called them up and asked them about removing the 3 trees, with only a glimmer of hope that he’d get at least one cut down for free. The trees were large and they were dead and/or diseased and the estimates he had received from other companies were in the thousands and thousands of dollars. A man from the company came out to do an estimate at my grandfathers house and much to our disbelief told us that they would be able to cut ALL of THREE of the trees down for FREE. They graciously thanked him for HIS service and said it was the least they could do for HIM. I couldn’t believe my ears and almost cried! It was the best Christmas present my grandfather could have received.The trees were removed today and the company did a stellar job with a crew of 8 people (at least) tackling the job + clean up in just a few hours. The craziest part? KDKA news came out to interview my grandfather and the company. I hope everyone who sees this today on the news (and this review!) brings this wonderful company many customers. Jim showed up, he was pleasant, to quote us for the job, its a difficult job, needed to speak with his partner before he made a quote, said they would be back the next day. The next day they reviewed the work but didnt make contact, or leave any paperwork in mailbox/door.A couple days after, my wife contacted them to follow up, and was told they were not interested in the job.

Exceptional work on each project they performed. Recently completed the fourth (4th) project. Tree service was excellent, complete on time and at the price quoted. Fourth retaining wall completed with professional installation and clean up. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing tree or stone retaining wall work. I will be using them again.

The place was cleaned up leaving no leaves, branches or saw dust; and the two trees were trimmed very professionally and quickly and the workers were fast, efficient and polite.

Needed a large leaning tree that was not in the best condition taken down and some other trees trimmed. Greater Pitt Tree Service had the best of three estimates and did a fantastic job. Would recommend them to anyone needing tree work done.

Left debris

We have had numerous tree cutting services over the years but Greater Pitt Tree Service LLC was heads and tails above the others. First we were super impressed with their equipment and the number of men who showed up to do our job which was extremely difficult (topping 6 pine trees more than 60 feet high in a place hard to get to easily). The workers were all polite and took great care to move everything out of the way that could have been damaged. We have a pool that we could not cover and they were careful to keep as much debris out as possible and one of the men even went so far as to use our net to clean up afterward. And they cleaned up all of the debris that fell around the pool and in the yard as well. The price was very fair for the work they did and how difficult our job was. They came on time and finished the same day. We will definitely use them again for any future tree work we need.
