This is a top notch place for hair cuts - at least for men (I have no experience with womens cuts here). I have been having my hair cut by Chris for over a year now, first at the Mt. Lebanon location and now on Mt. Washington. It is absolutely worth the extra drive.Chris has done an excellent job through a variety of hair styles for me and is worth checking out if you need a new barber. Theyre also cheaper here than at many of the big chain hair care locations, so youll easily save the gas money it takes driving here.

I had a excellent experience here with Alex as my hair stylist. I read reviews for local salons that were quality and affordable and Jennifers Hair Studio and Barbershop popped up as number one! The reviews did not stear me wrong. I was doing a hair donation and they handled everything perfectly. Ive had numerous compliments on my hair and the face framing of the style. I let Alex work her magic and she did amazing. I will be returning!

The salon was easy to find and everyone was kind and welcoming. Rachel did a great job on my highlights, cut, and style. She was friendly and personable and got my hair looking perfect for the event I had later in the evening! She is the only one I would let color my hair because I always leave happy! I will definitely be back!

Absolutely wonderful hair studio! I made an appointment with Jennifer after not being able to go to my long time (20+ years) hair stylist and loved my haircut. I can easily say it was the best haircut I have ever had. Jennifer is very talented and everyone in the studio is wonderful! What started as an initial appointment has now convinced me to be a long term client! Definitely a hidden gem of Mt. Washington.

This salon is so welcoming and the staff is very nice. Rachel is the best! She’s always given my hair the love it needs and has made the process of going from black back to my natural blonde a smooth transition. Always look forward to my next visit! I have been going to Jennifers for about 5 years and could not be happier! I will not ever go anywhere else for color, cut, and waxing. Jen knows exactly what she is doing no matter what style or color I ask for. She is very knowledgeable and personable yet professional. The online booking is a great option. I never have to worry about her not being on time. Highly recommended all the way around!!

First despite the pictures half the shop really is a barber shop. I was there for a very basic haircut. The staff is fast, friendly and efficient. I have been here a few times and never had to wait. I even got a free cookie when I was last there on the morning on the weekend. Great with kids too, if thats an issue for you.

The prices are great! Quick service and top quality. I was so glad to find this salon when I first moved here six months ago. I was on a tight budget and this salon does not overcharge! I love making my appointment online!

Affordable, easy to get to, parking along street in front. a good first impression and experience. Dana gave me a more traditional scissors and comb cut over the folks who love to get their heads clippered. :( clean and tight, well done mens cut! Looking forward to going back in a month. I have been here twice now. The first time Jennifer cut my hair, the second time was Kara. They both did a great job! And both times I just walked in without and appointment and they were able to take me pretty quickly. I love finding small businesses that do a great job at what they do! I would definitely recommend going here :)

Small shop so you should make an appointment. But the staff is friendly and make sure you are pleased. Would recommend and will go back. Great eyebrow waxing.

Great place with reasonable prices. Ron gave me great hair cut even though I was crunched for time. In and out in under 25 minutes. Most definitely my new regular barber.

It was my first time there, and I love how my hair looks. The color is the best shade Ive ever had. And the atmosphere is very relaxed and not cold and stuffy like a few other places.

Alex did a fabulous job on my mani/pedi for my wedding! I was so impressed with her work and professionalism. I will definitely go back the next time I need a mani or a pedi.

Wish there was an option for zero stars! i brought both of my daughters in to jennifer’s to get their hair teal ombré. their dad made the appt which i was against in first place because i always color their hair but he took one of my daughters there the before school started to get her hair trimmed & my daughter really liked her & the cut was nice so i ended up taking them because doing their hair myself is a lot of work anyways... terrible decision! first of all first time around they applied color it was a disaster! blonde spots all over & half turned out green so while still there they ended up re applying the color & it still wasn’t the color my girls wanted. after almost 5 hours in the salon i was totally disgusted & over being there so we left. she still had the nerve to charge me $260! i didn’t even want to tip but still gave $20 because that’s just how i am. within 2 days the color completely faded to this horrible blondish green color & their heads looked absolutely terrible! i will NEVER step foot in this salon ever again & i highly suggest if you want any special color to not go to this salon for it. she has no skills in mixology & i don’t even know how she can be a salon owner knowing she screwed both my daughters hair up & still charged me $260 after almost 5 hours of being there. my kids are 7 & 10 they were bored out of their minds! NEVER AGAIN! i personally fixed my daughters hair & she wasn’t even willing to give me a partial refund for her horrible mistake. i am all for supporting local businesses but we def should’ve went to the salon on bigham street if we were to go to any salon in mt washington.
