Ive been going to Mister Groom & Goods for several months now. Ive loved the haircuts Ive gotten and thought the prices were very reasonable. Theyre easy to schedule with via text and the appointments are usually efficient. The barber Ive been going to there (Anthony) does a fantastic job. Easily the best haircuts Ive had.

Mr G&G is a very nice place! Environment full of fun and grange-art objects makes eye searching enjoyable while conversation with your barber keeps your mind away from daily routine. I’ve been going to this shop for about 8 months now and it’s the best barber shop I have ever been to. The shop itself is incredibly decorated, and the staff are super nice and accommodating. My last visit they offered beverages while customers waited. Jason is the absolute best and wouldn’t have anyone else cut my hair.

Mister Grooming and Goods is the best barbershop I have ever visited. The crew is amazing, and some of the best people I have the pleasure of meeting. Every time I arrive, I know what to expect from everyone, and I never leave disappointed. I always look forward to my visits, and have some great conversations with everyone.

High hopes for this barber shop, but let down in many ways. I asked for a thick line to be cut in, and walked out frustrated because the stylist barely put one in after multiple asks. Attention to detail was not there as there was a poor job blending the top with my right side. Ill go elsewhere for $35.

Felt rushed, as much as I paid for a haircut and a bread trim 44 dollars and a tip, I still have to go home and trim my bread and reshape, my neck patches are everywhere, I’ve paid a third less and got a way better cut and trim . Maybe spend some money for a hand held mirror so you can see it closer instead of from a distance . A rushed haircut and trim isn’t good . Don’t think it was the barber as much as it is the shops fault to be rushed . Got my haircut in 50 states and must say I didn’t see this coming to say top 1 for price and #5 worst hair cut as I said not the barbers it’s the shop . Here is example of quantity over quality. Maybe cus I wasn’t a regular..usually after a cut I feel like a new man but not this time I felt off and incomplete … Rated #1 worst cut in Pittsburgh

Hot towels, straight razors, and highly skilled barbers. Well worth the cost and the wait for an appointment. Ill definitely go back.

Friendly staff. Took my elderly Father there for a shave and cut. $62 is astronomical and frankly insulting. I hope they continue on as theyre all nice people, but Ill never use again and in no way is the cut/shave worth the price.

This is my most favorite place ever to get a haircut! The shop is thoroughly decorated with tons interesting stuff but is always very professional and clean at all the haircut stations. Ive been coming here for every haircut as long as Ive been in Pittsburgh (~6 years). Zack Dean is the best and hell hook you up with a nice cut!In this part of the city, street parking is super easy and free on the unmetered side streets. Theyre always busy (for good reason!) so make sure to call and set up an appointment before your first time.

We brought our son in for a haircut today. Both he and I made it clear that he wanted to keep the length of his hair on top (it was quite long). Our barber said that keeping it long on top would require styling it when paired with short back and sides. We agreed with this. I stepped outside to wait, and when I walked back in, his hair was cut to only a few inches on top. It is only hair, of course, and will eventually grow back, but the disregard of our request was very disappointing. I expected more attention to the wishes of the customer from Mister Grooming and will not be returning.

Definitely a great spot for the gents who like some proper grooming. Lot of options to choose from on the menu and they trim beards!! Havent come across another spot that does and theyre quite professional. Very clean spot and the host is very courteous upon check in. You can even text them if youd prefer that over a call and theyre quick to respond! They will also help out suggesting what you should purchase from their products just so you know what youre spending your dime on!

This was the most amazing straight razor beard shave I’ve had in my entire life! Free drinks while you wait (which isn’t long), great music, incredible beard/shave/hair products to purchase and most importantly, barbers who know what the hell they are doing! I had Michael (who happens to be the owner) and I can’t believe how much I lucked out on my first visit here! Highly recommended!!

Honestly, the best cut in Pittsburgh. I love the appointment system since it means I have to wait SIGNIFICANTLY less than a classic barber shop with walk ins only. For the record, I drive from Washington pa or Sewickley for my appoints here and don’t regret it.

Absolutely horrible. Been going here for years and every time I went they kept loosing better and better barbers. This place is expensive so you expect a good haircut and I’ve had a few really bad haircuts recently when I’ve been expecting the same amazing cut I have been getting for years but I’m afraid this place has lost its charm. Not only that but the staff are extensively rude and unprofessional. Couldn’t believe my ears whenever the barber complained and said she had another appointment whenever I wanted it shorter on the sides and why I didn’t say anything sooner. Its hard whenever you have no glasses on and you can’t see in the mirror to see the progress.. I use to believe this was the best place in town and whenever I wasn’t satisfied with a haircut and wanted it fixed cause they left tons of loose hairs they said they didn’t want me coming back. To be honest I was upset then I remembered I should not spent $30 to go home thinking a hair cut looks bad so ill find a better barber shop that is more professional too. As a nurse this is not a place for professionals to get a haircut at all. -5 stars. Will never return. I dont believe f the barbers there should be there anymore.

Great price for the cut. Pretty standard barber experience just without being overpriced. They offer a drink but I was a little unsure as to if they were offering me water or wanted me to buy alcohol or something. Took a long time for them to reply to my text to schedule. They say they prefer a text to a call, but if you’re trying to schedule on a lunch break or something maybe just call.

Really enjoyed going here for about 8 months. Ally does great work. I had to stop going because I walked out without rescheduling my next appointment (I was in a hurry, largely my fault). About 2 weeks later I called to see if I could get on Allys schedule. She was booked for the next month. I asked if anyone else is available in the meantime. Again, no one available for the next month. Theres a reason why theyre so busy: Theyre good. Unfortunately, that means that scheduling is a nightmare. Even when I scheduled right after I got my hair cut, the number of slots available in the 4-5 week range were very few. I want to give them 5 stars, but its hard to when they are barely available.

I have been going there for over a year and have always been very happy with my haircuts. I go to Zack Dean and he is awesome. Ali (and Michael when she’s out or booked up) has been cutting my hair at Mister since November of 2013. It’s hands down the best barber shop in Pittsburgh. From regular cuts to shaves it rocks. Ali will give great advice on the cut and make sure it looks great. Highly recommend.

Guys: This is the place to go in Lawrenceville for a good haircut. Barbers are excellent at their craft and very friendly. The atmosphere is fun and hipster to a new level. I needed a haircut so I checked out their website. I called them to schedule an appointment and received a call back almost immediately. They were able to fit me in the same day which was great. I drove to the shop and really was blown away. The place was clean and everyone was super friendly. I was very satisfied with my haircut. Overall this place was great, I had a great experience, and I would recommend it to other people.

Good haircuts, however, you should be able to schedule appointments online. Sometimes it can be tricky getting through on the phone. Ive had a few appointments cancelled on me the day of, which is absolutely terrible when the next appointment is a week or sometimes two away. They do not have substitute barbers if yours is out sick/called off.

Atmosphere is awesome, bonus points for being able too drink an espresso while waiting. Nick is my guy and always gives me an amazing haircut. Recommend.

I was looking for a new barber after a few failed attempts at others around the city. While I was disappointed at first that they were booked solid the day I really wanted my haircut, Im so glad I waited. My barber, Will, is fantastic. Everyone there is extremely personable, always laughing and enjoying themselves. I love the way the place is decorated, too. The whole atmosphere is just great.

Cool shop. Im bald with a beard, so I went here for the one off trim and classic straight razor shave. It was worth the experience. I personally probably wont go back, but I would if I had a regular need for a haircut.

Got a good haircut here. Friendly staff, not a lot of waiting and a generally chill vibe. I was immediately offered a beverage when I walked in which was a nice touch. Then next day I noticed my bangs were a little longer than I wanted and they trimmed it at no charge. They also introduced me to a new hair product that I like a lot. Ill definitely be back.

Admittedly, I have never received their services but its not from a lack of trying. I texted (as requested) about 3 months ago. I wanted a beard trim and head shave. Still to this day there has been no response. I guess they are allergic to money.

I went here a few months backand drove down from the north hills. The shop was really cool, playing cool music, and it had a authentic mixed urban / rustic feel to it. They use technology to schedule and remind you about appointments which is a plus too and you can make your appointment via text which is a huge plus (if I had to call I would have never made the appointment to begin with)My only complaint was that I drove down from the north hills looking for some vision / styling for my beard. I didn’t want to go in there and say “this is exactly what I want” I wanted the stylist to make recommendations what she thought would work well / look good on me and I told her so. All she ended up doing was chopping off about 8 months of growth off my mustache with little conversation about it and evening out a few areas.I’m not sure if it was just the girl I got or if offering facial hair styling recommendations isn’t a normal / reasonable request...but I haven’t been back and I can’t say it was worth the drive down.Overall, the place is cool and definitely above average atmosphere and vibe for a barber shop. I just wouldn’t go out of my way to go down again.

I have never been to a barber shop before and this place was awesome. I needed some assistance with taking my beard. The prices are very reasonable and you can even have a beer while you wait. I will be going back to this place for sure. It is a bit of a drive for me, but worth it.

Ive been a Mister customer for years. Cool place, excellent haircuts, and a drink too boot. Everyone is super nice, and get a cut feels like a nice break from the hustle of life.

Dont think about it, just go there. You cant go wrong going here. the staff is extremely nice and always gives a great cut. Everyone is very down to earth and its an all around good vibe. Just call a couple weeks ahead because its hard to get a spot with how popular they are.

These guys have figured it out. This place has everything; its well decorated, good atmosphere, prompt service, great quality. Youre offered a drink (coffee, beer etc) when you arrive, but if youre on time you wont wait long. My barber, Zach, was a cool guy, chatty but only when appropriate. He made sure he knew exactly what I wanted, and gave me some tips at home beard maintenance as he worked on it. I went for a cut, beard trim and straight razor cleanup, and it was awesome. Best ive been to, easily.

This was my first time in the shop, so naturally I was a little hesitant not knowing anyone. The guy who cut my hair, Zach, put me right at ease. He was super friendly, and he really listened to what I wanted to have done with my hair. What impressed me the most, was that he made suggestions that improved the cut. This to me separates a great barber from just someone who cuts hair. Being able to look at someones face and suggest what would look best for them is what I feel separates this place from normal shops. Plus, they offered me coffee, water, or beer when I first walked in. All in all, it was a great experience. I think I found my new barber.

The environment and staff are all wonderful but what makes this place great is that fact that you leave with a great haircut. I do not see myself getting a haircut elsewhere.EDIT- The quality of haircuts and the experience has drastically decreased with the increased number of staff.

Went for haircut/beard trim today with Ethan Thompson. What a great and patient person! During trimming of beard it took 3 to 4 tries before I was satisfied. When done he agreed the shortness was perfect for my face shape. I felt that he took the time and eventhough my input was not very clear Ethan was accommodating to keep trimming until I was happy! Needless to say when move back to Pittsburgh next year, I already know where and who will be cutting my hair, trimming beard and get my recommendation for where and who to go to! If possible would have given 10 stars!

You can text to set up an appointment (SO convenient!), you can grab a beer while you wait, the staff is all super friendly and the cut is amazing for a very fair price. I cut my own hair but was preparing for a wedding so I thought that I would splurge. Upon checking in, you are offered a choice of either water, beer, or bourbon. A nice touch as you enjoy the eclectic art upon the walls and whatever is on the flatscreen TV. Clean, great smelling, laid-back atmosphere. The hot towel on my neck felt amazing, as did the shampoo wash. I was very satisfied with my cut and highly recommend. On the pricey side but thats probably because Im not accustomed to paying for haircuts. $24 not including tip.

They normally do a superb job. The hitch is getting an appointment that isn’t a week out.
