Ive been going to Hair By Design for about 4 years. Laurie does an excellent job cutting my hair the way I like it. I never have a problem getting an appointment scheduled within a week. Laurie is doing a great job staying COVID-safe-wearing a mask, cleaning between customers, keeping customers scheduled so there’s only 1 of us in the shop at a time and adjusting schedules so there is only one hairdresser available at a time. Covid is really hard on small business owners like Laurie, so if you need anything from a regular haircut to keratin straighteners, hair color, balayage, highlights, low lights, straight razor shaving, hair styling, beard gro​oming and even eyebrow trimming, give Hair By Design a call and make an appointment!

Katie has been my stylist for years! Her creativity and professionalism have kept me coming back time and time again! With my hectic schedule she always manages to get my appointment scheduled when I need it. Katie and Laurie always know how to keep the mood light and make getting your hair done a friendly and fun experience, its like catching up with two pals at Hair by Design. Service is great, the barbers are friendly, and the price is awesome. They know their stuff and the attention is all on you. Its not like a chain barbershop where you are one out of a million and dont matter. They do a great job and it shows.

Ive been going here for years... eversince I moved to Pittsburgh from NYC and Katie and Laurie are the best!... Id walk in with pictures of random haircuts or color ideas and Katie can do them all... great styles and conversations at prices that wont break the bank!!!
