I attended a wedding here this past Saturday and I have never been so impressed with a staff as I was here. The owner was directing tables when to eat, he was so friendly and engaging, and I’ve never seen the owner of a business actually working the way he was. His grandson was waiting the tables and was so polite and friendly! The food was beyond delicious!! The venue is beautiful, clean, and very inviting! I would definitely recommend this place!

One of my favorite spaces to decorate. Loved the staff. The owner Mr George is very kind. Elaine and Jessica were very accommodating as always. Covid has changed many things but they were extremely helpful. Love that I was able to transform the room to the clients desire. The KL Experience!

Perfect setting for a small large event. Tons of parking and staff goes above and beyond to accommodate. Great owner who is available and professional. I have attended several events there and have never been disappointed.

Staff was good food was fair. Building is older a bit out of date could use a facelift but otherwise a good value. I found the owner to be very hands on and easy to deal with. If your looking for a million dollar resort this is not it. If quality and value are your thing then this is the place.

The staff is great to work with. I am with first class entertainment djing a wedding. The place is very nice and very clean. Thanks to all the hard working ladys for making tonight run smoothly.

Just a guest at the place for an event, however when walking out, both manager and staff seemed to be yelling profanities about the hosting guest and causing a scene after what I would call a very nice event. I couldn’t believe the language coming out of this woman’s mouth about the folks who rented the space. Did not seem like anyone else was upset except her.... so maybe they’re “professionalism” does not include accepting any type of criticism.It was a very trashy sight to see and very disgusting behavior. Will not come back.

Went to look at this place for my wedding venue. The parking lot was all tore up, it really needs paved. It looks terrible and is very off-putting. We also did not like that if we rented one of the halls we would have to share with whoever is renting the other half of the hall and the only thing that would be separating us is a sliding door/wall.

My wife and I just got married at the Georgetown Centre early August and we both could not have asked for a better venue to have had our wedding/reception at. During these tough times of COVID we rescheduled 2 times from our original date and the entire staff was nothing but 5 stars across the board! They were so understanding and flexible during this whole situation! They went above and beyond to make sure that my and my wife’s special day was flawless care free and full of fun. We originally picked the Georgetown Centre because it was the best quality/value for the most included In the per person price. The hall is elegant and spacious with tremendous lighting! The food is phenomenal, no one could be disappointed with their selection and quality of food! They did an amazing job of adhering to the state/county COVID guidelines! All in all there is no better place to host your special event! Will always recommend to anyone who asks for a venue to host a gathering!

Nice center. Lunch was pretty good but dessert was awful. The ice cream was not sweet at all and the cake had way too much almond extract it was insanely overwhelming.

I DJed a 50th anniversary in the main room and have nothing but good things to say about the venue. Theyre event coordinators emphasize excellence and communicated very well with me as well as making sure I was also waited on. I had a full table setting and was never out of water. You can not forget the DJ and they did not! For that they get 5 stars from me! Just make sure your event doesnt take place on the same day as another event such as having a wedding next to the anniversary I was DJing. That poor bride and grooms DJ was so unskilled and his equipment very old. I honestly had people from that wedding come over and asked me for a business card and dance just from hearing my music through the wall haha! Guess this would be a good time to plug my contact info! Had my wedding reception here and it was AMAZING. The staff went over everything with us and even helped us set up seeing as we couldnt get into the place till the morning of the wedding. The food was great especially the stuffed chicken. We even recomend this place to other people we know. Again thank you for making our special day so special.

This event center off Bruceton Rd. is nice, even if a slight bit dated. The food, drink, and service for a funeral luncheon were very nice. It was planned very late from afar and the management team offered a nice menu and bar for a very reasonable price. There are signs of age almost everywhere that should be addressed but it didnt distract from a nice time for a large group.

Attended a wedding here. The ball room was very nice, the food was excellent, and the service was top notch. The mens bathroom was in pretty lousy shape. Its time for at least this bathroom to be overhauled and modernized. Only reason I didnt give five stars.

Ive been to a few events at Georgetown Centre and its always fun. The banquet hall is huge and beautiful. Service is wonderful and staff is great. Highly recommend this banquet hall!

Food was edible, not great. They cleaned it all up before we finished and could get seconds, if we wanted them. Staff was friendly and always smiling. The hall and restrooms were clean.

This place was absolutely trash. I gave 1 star because of the sweetest waitress but if I could give zero I would. The “boss” was rude and disrespectful. I thought so highly of this place & after having a dance and a banquet here, had two bad experiences. The food wasn’t great, the room was small and the dance floor was to small! The only good thing about this place was Renee the waitress!

My wife held a bridal shower for our daughter at this facility on October 12, 2014 for 50 ladies. From the very first discussion with the staff all the way through the event they could not have been more helpful, professional and any easier to get along with. Some of the ladies at the event can be very critical and even they were very complimentary of the facility, staff and the food. Many of the women told me that they thought it was the nicest Bridal shower they ever attended and that the food and service was excellent. The staff, facility and excellent food was a large contributor to the success of the event. We could not have been more pleased with everything. If we ever have a need for another function like this the Georgetown Center has earned our return business. Thank you to all the staff, well done!

The place was roomy enough, plenty of parking, nice covered entry. When you contract with them, its the venue, the food & cake and a director the big day. You bring in centerpieces and set up your sign-in table, and you do have some add-on choices. I enjoyed the cake testing from Pastries a la Carte. They gave the couple opportunity to choose 3 or 4 combos. Im very glad of that because the almond choice was very strong and we wouldnt have been happy about it. The tables were set nicely, covered with white linens. We had the room with a big picture window, beautiful view of trees and a small balcony. They will only take your cookies on prepared trays that they will keep putting out. I didnt really feel that the director did a good job at all. Things werent necessarily moved along or as organized as I would have done. The couple and wedding party had a reception room of their own at The Georgetown which was a great perk. After pics in a park, they had a little bit of appetizers and a place to freshen up. The food was very good and we really liked the types of options presented. I was upset, though, that they took back the leftover food. If you do sit-down, apparently you keep the leftovers. If you want to take a lot of stress and work out of the big day, choose The Georgetown. I would just recommend someone help stay on schedule.

When choosing a wedding venue, my wife and I had to find an establishment large enough to facilitate nearly 275 people, a relative close commute and above all, the food had to be good. What made this process all the more difficult was that I was active duty military stationed in southern Maryland. Many of our guests had unique food requests (vegetarian, vegan, etc..) so we wanted to find a catering company that could accommodate all of these requests and provide excellent food. Georgetown Centre provided the best food I have had at a wedding. Its been 6 years since our wedding and if the topic comes up, some of our friends and family will still compliment how good the food was at our wedding. Above all, the alcohol was included and for a small additional fee we changed the beer on tap to provide 4 different beer options. The wedding cake was provided by pastries a la carte and because it was so delicious I make it a point to go every year and buy a small cake for our anniversary. As a vendor, It is extremely easy to load and unload equipment into and out of and the staff has always been very friendly.

We had an amazing wedding here. We had a fabulous wedding of over 225 people. I would pick this venue a million times again.First of all, it was very obvious that the staff here truly cared about our wedding. They were very easily to work with, were flexible with many of our non traditional requests, answered us always in a timely manor and gave us unlimited meetings: As a bride, I am very particular about details and asked ALOT of this venue, they never made me feel uncomfortable and always helped in anyway. When my I saw the venue on our wedding day, I was filled with tears of joy. The venue allows open flame candles which is a plus. They set up EVERYTHING. Although the venue might seem a bit dated, when it’s all set up with uplighting, linens, and decor you would never know. They put my charger plates out, I even rented chivari chairs (which looked awesome!) and had a big backdrop behind our sweet heart table. They did this among many other things exactly how I asked them to be set up.Cocktail hour is in the same room as the reception. However we really utilized the patio and even put a cigar bar outside, which our guests loved and had different places to move around including the lobby. You can not hang anything from the walls in the lobby or take anything down but they will allow you to move furniture and set it up however you want.The food was unbelievable. We had a sit down dinner and ordered filet mignon, chicken, and salmon. Highly recommend this. The small upcharge was very fair and reasonable. People are still telling us how delicious the food was. The sit down dinner was served in a very timely manor (which is great for 225 plates!) the bar stays closed during dinner so if you want to do exactly one hour, maybe consider doing a buffet as ours was about an hour and 20 minutes.They say something goes wrong at everyone’s wedding, but I really can’t think of anything that went terribly wrong on our wedding day. If you’re looking for a venue, we recommend Georgetown!
