Until the pandemic, I was very happy with this mechanic. At the height of COVID before vaccines were available, despite informing him that I was at-risk, he refused to wear a mask, would not allow me to pay over the phone (I would have had to be face to face with him in a very tiny office), and grudgingly allowed me to pay with a check, but gave me no options to even leave that for him from a distance. As far as I know, he didnt bother to sanitize my car either.
Cant say a negative thing about Ed. Highly recommend taking your car to him!
The only reason I found my way to Eds Garage is that my cars battery wasnt charging and Eds was the closest repair shop to my house. I have to say I got lucky. He fixed the problem at a fair price and in short period of time.
Radiator broke on 376. Ed had it fixed in a day and charged a fair price. Very nice guy!
I was very happy with the service that Ed gave me.
Ed knows his stuff.
Ive had Ed repair my car for over 40 years. He is a Master Mechanic. When my car leaves his shop I know it is repaired properly. Its nice to have a trustworthy mechanic who knows what hes doing locally.
Ed is really nice and honest. Its hard to find a reliable mechanic. We recently were referred to him by Walters for an oil leak that Walters said they couldnt fix. Ed looked at the car and gave us his honest opinion that we didnt need any repairs done and that the leak was minor. Will definitely refer friends to him
As a 30+ year resident of Regent Square I have tried many mechanics in the area. Ed is by far the best and most honest, not to mention being a really nice guy. My only complaint is that I went to the others for years before I tried Ed! Every area needs a mechanic like him.
Great mechanic and also a good person
Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this guy. I have two friends that have taken their cars to Ed to have inspections done. Ed wanted to charge the first $1000 in repairs to pass inspection. My friend said no, and took his car to another shop and passed inspection for $250 worth of repairs. The story is the same for my other friend who went to Ed for inspection: Ed charged her, a single mother who works two jobs, $1500 worth of repairs in order to pass inspection. Unfortunately she did not know any better and did not take her car to another shop. Ed came up with all kinds of crazy things that was wrong with her car, including a broken seat; the seat was fine! In any case, he replaced the seat with one that was a different color than the others and told her to get seat covers. This guys is a rip-off artist and scammer. Do NOT take your car here!
Ed (and his Auto Shop) is a respectable, upfront guy. He fixes what needs to be fixed, and if its just a regular car noise that comes with an aging vehicle, he will be straight with you too. My jeep has always has issues regarding its suspension. Ed has sunk his time identifying the issues and weighing the options before tearing into things.
Ed has been my mechanic for more than 20 years. I go there after the inspection stations quote me and Ed is always less! Love this place!!
Highly recommended for repair and state inspection.
Horrible attitude when he answered the phone. Literally asked a few questions to see what he thought about my car issues and he did not want to look at it. Very unprofessional
I was recommended here to get my clutch done. Great work. Great guy. Would recommend.
I Took my car in for State Inspection and a Fuel Gauge Repair. Work was done and the Cost was Very Reasonable
Honest dependable mechanic. Always pleased with the service
Ed has been my mechanic for more than 15 years. Ed is a very fine mechanic, and a really nice guy.
Really helpful guy. I had no idea what I was doing with my salvage car title and he helped me through the whole process.
Great mechanic!
