I am a college student who purchased a computer for college so I needed a personal articles policy and renter’s insurance for my apartment. I had insurance with State Farm for YEARS. I recently purchased a house and forgot to cancel my renters insurance. I didn’t use it for a year and a half and didn’t notice the money coming out because it was on a credit card.I told the representative that it had been a year and a half and I was told “just send a closing document on your house and we can refund you back to that date”. So I did and didn’t hear from them for two weeks. Finally I reached out and I was told “we can only give you a refund for a portion of that time”. Now if this was the expectation from the beginning, fine... BUT I was told I’d get a refund back to that date.I called Chad and talked to him and explained the situation. He said that it’s the companies policy, that they could make an exception, but “if we do it for you then we have to do it for everyone”. Which... how many people in one area are buying homes and forgetting to cancel. To add insult to injury, he then started trying to sell me over priced house insurance.I understand that companies have policies and I respect that. I don’t understand, however, how you can tell someone they are getting a refund and the just take it back because you don’t feel like it anymore. I’d advise looking elsewhere for a company that sees its customers as individuals and treats them accordingly.
We were with Allstate for over 25yrs. Our agent was fantastic but he retired and the gentleman that took over his customers was not near what our previous agent was. So we started entertaining changing insurance companies. We had met Chad and his staff at the Bloomfield Italian days 2 yrs ago and was impressed with him and his staff and they reached out to us periodically over the 2 yrs. Then a wonderful woman that is on Chads staff Arlena sent us detailed quotes. When I compared the coverage State Farm was offering to our coverage w/Allstate and the cost savings..I was amazed. Arlena called, left messages, resent the quotes and was sweetly persistent. I have been with State Farm-Aspinwall-w/ Chad Gregorini since my first car. I am definitely one who reads everything and is always expecting to be ripped off. Not here, Not ever! In my 20s I had my car breakdown and to my surprise I called State Farm and I had towing/roadside assistance on my policy for only an extra l$1.00 a month. I had forgot and they helped me through a difficult time. In 2017 when I purchased my new car I was told by the dealership my monthly insurance payment would be around $60. Wrong! Since I was able to talk to an agent on the spot that day who said full coverage would have to be around $100, I was able to go back in the dealership and ask for my car payment to be reduced by $50. Thanks Statefarm team!

Ive been a State Farm customer for many years. Several years ago, I chose Chads agency because my former agent retired. I have been more than pleased with the service I receive from Chad and his staff. There was a recent change to the condominium policies and Chad made sure that I was aware of them with a personal phone call and an explanation of each change that would affect me. If Chad is not available, feel free to speak to his wonderful, knowledgeable staff. Last year when I moved into my condo I had many calls with Debbie of his office. My name is Heather Wenning. I have been with State Farm for a few years now. I work with the Chad Gregorini North Huntingdon office. His staff is wonderful there. He is always there to help us in any way. My husband and I have auto, home, life, personal policies, and our business policies with them. Last summer we had a car accident that was our fault. I called it into State Farm claims that night. They were wonderful. They arranged for the towing service to be there at our house to pick up our car first thing in the morning. The adjuster was at the body shop waiting. They paid for our car rental and we had it for three weeks. They paid the claim to the body shop right away. I have never seen and insurance company pay the claim before the work was even done. They text messaged me every update with the claim which was more convenient for me. There were two changes in the estimate that of course costed more money. They never argued with me once. They paid everything!! The total cost of everything overall came to 8876.53. Our insurance did not increase at our renewal. They handled everything exactly how an insurance company should. When things happen in life you should not get hassled by your insurance company. State Farm was wonderful in every way! I would recommend them to everyone and so thankful to have them. They made our life much easier!!

Weve been satisfied State Farm customers in FL, CA, MO, GA, & now PA. During a period of what I can only describe as temporary insanity, we switched to Nationwide due to a much lower quote. All I can assume is that Nationwide gave this low quote in error & then set out to harass us until wed take our business elsewhere. However, we jumped through all Nationwides hoops, paid the premiums automatically & tried to be good customers. In return, Nationwide called, mailed & emailed ridiculous documentation requests. We complied. They lost the exclusion forms & needed them re-sent. We complied. Then suddenly those forms were insufficient. They wanted different documentation. We called (waiting 20-30 minutes to get a person on the line). We explained. Customer service reps were sympathetic to our plight & seemed embarrassed to realize their company was behaving so badly. We were told the underwriters needed more information, (info that should have collected before Nationwide issued our policy & took our money). We were promised a return phone call to clear this mess up. Meanwhile, here comes the mailman with a certified letter stating that our Nationwide policy had been cancelled! Not that it would be cancelled but that it HAD BEEN cancelled. A check was enclosed for return of premiums paid. It was clearly written that this was non-negotiable.At this point wed had enough of this Nationwide nonsense! We called State Farm & got a live person on the phone within 30 seconds. We got back on board with an insurance company that KNOWS how to run a business, knows how to treat customers, and above all, collects the needed information up front. No bait & switch tactics here at The Farm. Whoowee, are we glad to be back with people we can TRUST!The Chad Gregorini agency didnt let us down. We feel bad about keeping the professional young man in the office half hour after closing, on a Friday night no less, but we feel safe, sure, and confident that we are appropriately insured with a reputable company, not a Mickey Mouse operation (apologies to Mickey Mouse). Confirmation & temporary insurance cards arrived via email instantly. Our new State Farm policy is paid for the next 6 months. The Nationwide nightmare is over.Armed with a new State Farm policy we feel good about, I called Nationwide. I know; call me crazy. I was curious about whats going on with them & also wanted to give them my feedback; if Nationwide is listening, please be advised that your business model is untenable. You cant treat customers as you did us and expect to stay in business. I was told to hang up & the person with whom I spoke previously would immediately call me back. Jokes on me I guess. Ive been typing this review while waiting for the twice promised Nationwide callback.Nationwide was NEVER on our side! We will never again even think of leaving State Farm. In 1986, State Farm paid out an extensive claim on our homeowner policy. Nothing but pure professionalism: we were put up in a hotel for a month while repairs were made to our home. No hassles, no red tape, no problems, no delays! Thirty years later we made our 2nd major claim for an auto that was totaled. State Farm IMMEDIATELY jumped on it. They arranged for a tow, a rental car, an estimate of damages, and a full payout WITHIN A MATTER OF DAYS so that we could purchase a new vehicle. The moral of my story is to stick with friends you can trust. You might pay slightly more, but the service & professionalism you receive is WELL WORTH IT!Final laugh: I was just about done here when the Nationwide woman called me back. Nice woman. Too bad she works where she does. She wanted to tell me the good news: their underwriters had decided to reinstate our policy! Hilarious. This comes after the non-negotiable cancellation. Thankfully, we had already collected our senses & returned to STATE FARM!
