This particular location is actually decent and much more spacious than Montebello.

They have a sauna, pool, basketball court,, cross fit type stuff and weights and different types of machines. Been going at 5am. Still pretty busy. Have to wait for free weights and benches. Overall vibe people take it very serious. Im just a beginner so Im alittle intimated. Haha

AWESOME gym. Its super clean, nice, big, and has everything! It has racket ball courts, a basketball court, a large room for personal use, workout machines for every muscle group, ellipticals, stationary bikes, treadmills, a sauna, a jacuzzi, and a pool. Would highly recommend the Pico Rivera LA Fitness location.

I love aquafit class. I just wish they would add more aquafit classes.

Good gym overall, has ample space and contains equipment for all your basic workout needs. The volume of attendance varies d pending on the time of day.

I liked this gym, it is much better than other LA Fitness departments. It is clean and well maintained, it is much more comfortable to play sports. Of course, like in other halls, there are broken fitness equipment or some equipment is missing, but this gym is equipped much better than other LA Fitness gyms.

Clean equipment and nice staff.

Since reopening during this pandemic with new restrictions, LA Fitness looks to be handling it well. It may be premature to say but so far people (except for this one girl) are using masks and gloves as required. It wasnt crowded at lunch time and the locker room has very limited space because of social distancing so it should put most members at ease. This was at the Pico Rivera location.

Clean and professional personnel...

I take personal training classes here, they remodeled the place and put more weght training stuff. There is a TRX more weights and some new machines. Restrooms are always getting cleaned when I finish my work out. The sauna is a bit small but it is the same as all other LA fitness saunas I have gone to. Only thing that sucks is that people hog the machines specially the squat rack.

I have been going to this location since April 2019 and I loved it, especially because it is literally a 3 minute drive for me. However, they remodeled it this past week and I was very excited about it thinking they were going to get new machines to replace the older ones, but they really screwed up this time. They decided to add a really huge and unnecessary training area and now all of the machines are extremely close together and is very crowded. I have to say I was really disappointed with the changes.

Thankfully they’re updating this decrepit gym.Edit: I wrote my last review prior to their renovation. While this place has improved in its physical appearance, meaning its not so dark and grungy, quite a few of the pieces of the equipment are still busted and dont work properly. Everything was also moved around so the free weight area is now even MORE crowded as they had to make room for their fancy new personal training area right up front...

This LA fitness got my phone number from the emergency contact section of the membership that my brother signed up for. Then they began marketing calling me offering me my 5 day free guest pass! (I live 35 miles away from this location in Huntington Beach.) What you are doing is ILLEGAL! Its called CCPA, and Id suggest you get compliant by Jan 1 2020. I confirmed with my brother that my contact info was ONLY listed under emergency info. California Consumers Protection Act. Check it out LA fitness sales staff.

Not real stoked here... I mean they keep the place clean but equipment they carry is mid level. Many new gyms are doing functional areas and turf... there’s a lot of cool stuff out in other gyms. They have very little and keep it for only the trainers and thier clients...Using simple math here guys... If you want to charge 30-40$ a month and we can’t use the functional areas... others charge less and offer that plus many of the same amenities...?Maybe think about that ....

This place has no official hours posted at the door so the employees can show up whenever they feel like it and don’t have to answer customers for that reason. To their credit, they are very clever at being lazy.

I really cant say that I agree with the reviews that are less than 4 stars. I have been going here for about a week now, so still fairly new to this gym, and I must say its pretty good. I am sure it can get crowded but I go before work- I typically arrive between 5:45am-6:00am and there are not too many people there. Some of the equipment does look like it could use a good cleaning- especially the cardio equipment. I usually wipe the equipment before and after I use it. I think the showers were pretty clean- no clogging or puddles and I did not see any mold like the other review said. I always wear sandals though, just in case.I would recommend the gym- the staff is ALWAYS so sweet when I go.I hear a remodel is coming * yay!

I have never Joined a Gym that has the greatest staff, and the greatest equipment and emmenities available for all your needs, the trainers there are god sent and have Helped me out with every step of the way, they make my physical disabilities their number #1 priority and they make sure I am facilitated in allways getting my work outs in the proper way without causing further injury... I cant thank them all enough!!!

The sales staff here thinks its acceptable to use gym members emergency contacts as people to market to. Very scummy move.

Dont give them any personal contact info especially for emergency contacts. They will call your emergency contact and try to sell them stuff or harass them to come in. They arent GDPR or CCPA compliant when it comes to consumer data laws.

The facility is fine. It has all that is needed for a good workout and/or fun. The employees arent very good. None of the equipment is ever where it should be. Ever.

This gym is not for pansies!! Yes gyms get busy! Come at a time better suited or work with it! Only complaint is that the Dumbbells are never racked right. Nice staff

LA Fitness had one job and that was to process my payment that I had given them they couldnt even do that theyre unorganized there very dirty they dont process my account and now Im off of work having a handle this situation when they could have done it themselves.... they have no idea what theyre doing and just to speak to a supervisor I had to wait 20 minutes and more

Great gym. When you get to know the people there it is a better atmosphere but when you go alone for the first couple of times it is crazy to find an open bench, squat bar, etc.

The managers at this location have absolutely no respect for their members and the sales manager Diego is not to be trusted. I was told my monthly fee would be one price, then got charged $10 more. He just had me sign, but never showed me any paperwork and I never got an email verifying my account information. I called the location and corporate to get it resolved and nothing was done. I never heard back from Diego or Sandra, another manager at this location. After a month of dealing with corporate and not having my problem fixed, I just cancelled my membership. I would not recommend anyone do anything in regards to their membership here.

BEWARE!For anyone looking for a simple gym, by all means this is your place. Just be careful because most of the time the machines are breaking down and it takes about a month to fix. If you try telling the staff, theyll just brush you off. Their customer service is the worst Ive ever seen as far as gyms go, unless theyre signing you up for a membership then the customer service stops. Try shopping around for other gym that actually care about their gym and the clients. BEWARE!

I join the gym toward the end of March I know joining a gym can get pricey When I signed up the price for multi gym membership didnt ask me if I want multi club or single I add the kids also my first payment was $180 they dont even offer any gifts for signing up especially after spend $$ but anyway I went back the next month to change my payment day & the multi club they changed everything guaranteed me I wouldnt get changed double from changing my payment day but they ended up double charging me so the manager Diego was supposed to refund me its been over a month no refund & they have already took the next month payment.I wish I could just get all my $$ back and just go with another gym.

A good place to work out sometimes its very crowded arrive early or very late. Try to avoid the six pm sometimes people dont clean the machines after they use them.

I was honestly excited to gym this gym to get a good workout about 2 months ago. But now I wish j wouldve never joined this gym is horrible the first month I was charged $79 for just me and then I called in to ask what was up with the high charge and DIEGO said that he was sorry that it was an accident and would refund my money. A month later still no money back and I was charged the same amount so at this point I was mad how do you make the same mistake twice. I go in talk to him once again and i get the same response and I know what you guys must be thinking just cancel the gym membership. Well I shouldve because the 3rd month was just out of line. I get charged $79 once again plus $99 twice on the same day. My bank account went in the negative 3 times that day and I canceled it just is not right to be charged so much for just one person and it takes them 3 month to return all your money. Horrible service I will never be going back and I suggest nobody joins, if you want to avoid getting charged so much I suggest you get an alert on your phone telling you when your account hits 0.

We went to this gym as we are travelling, we told them our need is to use their facilities for 2 weeks ONLY. They said it’s ok and issued one card for us to login in that 2 weeks. We never received any contract, or document and we gave back the card we used for entry.We paid the fee, and we thought we are fine. Since then LA Fitness has charged us two times some different extra amounts without any reason. It is about 100 dollars for NOTHING. We called them several times, each time they promised to return our money, and it never happened. We are paying with our time, energy and money as we are still travelling now actually calling from a country with 14 hours difference and they still don’t have an email address to send the proof of their deductions, or our complaint, or not even the “right person to talk to”. We are utterly annoyed with this company. And this started about 4 months ago. The good thing is we stopped our bank to allow them to deduct more money from us.On today’s call, the from desk said will stop the membership next month. Next month?? Excuse me! 4 months ago for 2 weeks, fixed term, how the heck do you stop the membership in the next month??I don’t recommend you to go there because this company is a non-sense.And the facility is not as good at all. People leave things all around the places, and if you have a workout plan, you will cool down until you chase the equipment for the next exercise.I’m fed up with them! Never-ever going again to any LA fitness clubs, and will not recommend to any of my friends!This company is a SCAM with no email addresses in the 21st century. What kind of customer service is this? In the 3rd world countries, they have better services than this company has. Avoid them! And if you already made a bad decision to go there, ask your bank to stop them taking more money out of your pockets.

Awesome if your goals revolve around sole cardio workouts. Forget incorporating free weights if your arrival time is after 3pm.

I love coming to this GYM the trainers are great they have a pool and sauna and the equipment are great I really do get a good work out here better then any other GYM Ive ever gone to the reason I have giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is cause the signal here sucks I can lesson to music on Spotify or YouTube it buffers alot and the GYM WiFi doesnt work if there WiFi worked I would have given it 5 stars but for now its 4 unless they fix it cause this really is such and issue to me other then that I love the place I love the juice bar too

Its so annoying that everyday at all hours they are cleaning and wetting the floors..even when I am working out on the machine...they always getting in the way of my workouts... why dont you clean when people are not around or before business hours...until there is a slip and fall for a lawsuit...

Do not sign up for their personal trainer plan. they do not offer anything useful as far as a nutritional plan and they do not have specialist if you have had any kind of surgery. they lied to me and said they did. when I found out and tried to cancel, they told me that I cant and said that I shouldve read my contract. their employees are rude to their guest and unwilling to help. I would choose another gym

To Management: Sandra, this message is in regard to your employee Riana. Regarding her statement and attitude this morning of 9/29/2018. The situation is as follows; I borrowed the handle grips this morning. I was working my way through my routine and hadnt had a chance to use them. I was approached by Riana and asked for the handle grips back. Her statement was, A customer has been waiting forever, this is the reason why we keep them at the front desk and due to policy if youre not using them they need to be returned. I get it, I am a reasonable person, no problem so I gave them back to her but before i handed them off to her, she said, another thing is we do not allow bags on the floor due to this reason (hinted at the handle grips with a gesture indicating theft). SO DO I LOOK LIKE A THIEF???? Ive been coming ever since this gun opened! Never have I ever had an encounter with an employee who assumed something about a paying customer that she does not know what so ever! Another thing is she made me feel unwelcomed. I would never make a customer feel that way. I understand that there are policies but choose your words wisely and keep that attitude at home, not in the workplace. I will be calling on Monday to speak with Sandra about this incident to follow up. NOT COOL!!!

This place is ok for the equipment. Buy its a mess. Weights were just thrown all over the place. Nothing was put up at night. The bathrooms are filthy. This is first thing in the morning mind you. Whoever closes has no pride in their job

Its hard to really enjoy your workout and experience here when you want to relax in the jacuzzi but you have people eating while in the jacuzzi. But if you have to eat, you have to eat.

Save your money and your time the sales people are Very pushy and only after your money they dont ever explain the hidden fees at time of transactions the rest of the staff are very rude and unhelpful and apparently they never have a manager on duty. When seeking help they just pass you on to the next person. Dont waste your time here just go to planet fitness and get your moneys worth

This gym is really the worst.. the place is always crowded and the weights are never were they supposed to be a lot of the cardio machines dont work.. i can live and get over all that, but what really gets to me is the staff at this place is very rude. the sales associates will push you aside just so they can have a potential member use certain equipment.. so be ware after you sign just forget about asking for any kind of help they will cast you out like yesterdays garbage.. someone really needs to start a petition to replace the staff asap..

This Place is Falling Apart, All Half Machines there are Broken down and wont be repaired til few weeks later. All the Handle Bars & Crowbars are missing for the cable Machines, you have to bring your own connectors. The ANSWER to this is to Remodel the whole damn place again.

Hours are wrong, very disappointing, came by 7am theyre not open had to wait till 8am, waste of pre workout, thanks a lot guys lol..would highly appreciate if u would update. Horrible customer service, particularly of this employee named STEVE SIGUENZA, who was trying to charge us $30 to play volleyball (aside from the fee we already pay for the gym). Since people refused to pay, he brought up that the equipment was unsafe for use, and we needed to donate $30 to get a new one. However, it was the same equipment he used to set up before (so he knew it was unsafe and let us use it). Moreover, we received horrible customer service from his part, not only did he treat us in the most disrespectful way, but also refer to us as TRASH. To persuade us from talking to corporate managers he said that theyre his buddies and that they only laugh about customer complaints about him, that is the reason he still works there. We of course spoke to the gyms manager, called the corporate but so far nothings been handled, were still waiting for the new volleyball equipment and this individual is still working there. If LA Fitness respects and values its customers, keep employees like that away.

This places sucks is soo crowded cant do exercise.... i have to cancel my account after 3 months i give up... o you cannot cancel over the phone you have to go back with the salesman sit there waist more time listen to them trying to get you back...

They close at 9 on Fridays now, however website still shows they close at 10. Thats too early for a very busy gym. Very seriously thinking of joining the Planet Fitness opening in downey soon. And they are going to be open 24 hours, 7 days a week

I do have to say be very careful of the sales reps and read your contract closely. I wanted to join the monthly 3 year plan since I knew I needed 3 years worth of gym access, but they ended up charging me the 3 years in full. took it out of my bank account and I didnt realize it till about 5 months down the line. So I sort of saved because I paid for 2 years but im getting 3.Aside from that, the sale person promised me a bunch of favors but when he moved to another location, I got stuck holding my towel in my hand. no favors. Dont rely on your sales guy.So aside from all that I like the GYM. its clean, has raquetball courts, a basketball court, pool and really great machines that work! the free weights they have are nice also.Busy time is always 4-7pm.. i think thats all gyms, but if you go in the mornings or after 7 you have a Gym all to yourself.

I love this place for the convenience of its location, but Ive been attending this place since its opening and from then to know they have not kept up the equipment... The focus is on the weight machines when it comes to repairs or maintenance, the cardio equipment is deplorable, and not maintained at all, I dont know how many times I have reported ellipticals and treadmills for repair, rather than getting fixed they sit there sometimes for months and they will be half-assed fixed or not fixed at all many of them have broken buttons or completely missing buttons, I had an elliptical fail on me in the middle of my workout and I almost face planted.... Please Fix this issue, I love this club but cannot give anything higher than a 3 for that very reason and Im being generous

It’s like El Rancho High School, everyone from Pico is there. All the equipment is always in use and the recruiters will not stop bugging you. When I joined, I mentioned that I live and work in Pico and he gets me the membership to have access to all LA Fitnesses. Horrible service and facility.

Its a good gym but machine maintenance, organization, and overall cleanliness seem to be an issue... Same issue as surrounding lafitness facilities.

On Google maps their hours say 5am-11pm and now they close early they need to update their hours on Google maps coz last Friday my boyfriend and I wanted to workout and we showed up to it being closed and he got upset coz I double checked the hours before hand and it said 11pm not 9pm yeah I understand its a Friday but common at least update your business hours online or at least Google maps so when customers like my boyfriend and I wanna go workout we knw that it closes way earlier than its supposed to be closed at.

This gym has the potential to be very nice. No seem to rack the weights. The staff doesnt enforce it. This place tends to be crowded at all times. The staff needs customer service training.

Staff needs to enforce people to rerack their weights, weights are all over the gym expect where there supposed to be, bathrooms are always dirty, machine attachments are always missing I had to buy my own.when a machine is broken it take weeks for it to fixed. I only go there because it less than a mile from my house and get a major discount from my job.

If I could give negative stars I would. I had a free 2 week pass and came in while I was on winter break from college. I only had 1 1/2 weeks left so this pass was more than enough. However one of the sales associates wouldnt let my GF get a 2 day pass because she is not a Cali. resident. Ok understandable. So I agreed to pay a flat fee of $60 for us both for 1 1/2 weeks to be nice and get the sales team off my back.I was given a deal and told I just had to cancel it before I left. Well I tried and the front desk workers wouldnt let me because I was 15 min. Past the time frame to cancel, even though the manager I signed on with just told me to go and cancel it. So I call them the next day to cancel and they say they dont accept cancelations over phone. Fine. I plan to go in later and find out they already charged me for a full membership! I call them again and tell them that wasnt our agreement and they said they would handle it and give me a refund the next billing/refund cycle.I accept that answer and wait till the end of the month. When the end of the month comes, I am charged AGAIN! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? I call and they said even though my account was canceled I still owe money for my membership. By now Im livid because as a college student with a part time job I CANNOT afford these ridiculous payments. So I call them again and was told the woman in charge of refunds would call me on Monday. That did NOT happen. Now I have to call again and find out whats going on.Overall they kept charging me and it took 3 months to resolve. I didnt get all my money back but Diego did his best to try to get what I could (whether that was because he was being helpful or got tired of my pestering).This place used to be about the customer service and theyve worked with me in the past...Now they are a money grubbing company with no regard for their patrons. NEVER going to an LA Fitness again.
