My rating is based on the scam they tried to pull on me. Employees were doing their jobs and very professional. I would give them a 5 star for customer service. Long story short, uber does not partner with this location and when I gave the car back, they tried to charge me for a day because I drove off with it... I had to move the car from a red zone (according to their policy Im responsible for tickets) and parked it in a parking spot. Problem was resolved when I threaten to make it a legal matter... what kind of business realizes a mistake in their system and tries to scam someone off a day. Claims to not work with uber but accepts uber driver discount code.

I gave 1 stars based on 2 times of rent impossible experiences.Booked online and confirmed with local service person after, even though it isnt means car was reserved, it meaning I am in the waiting list, in a reservation pool, everything is depends on store manager mode. I cant get my ride for twice cause I dont have it, I will call you when if it is available. I do have checked parking lot in rear, car was there.-- Once is accident, the second is inevitable

I rent a Toyota car. The tire was bald. And they didnt change it . Also the oil is too old, too. The car maintenance light come on. I asked them. They said its fine. After 3 days, something happened. I got tired pop on the freeway. I called roadside assistance from Hertz. Hertz said that they might be charge me fee on my bill. So I paid by my own and went to the America tire store to ask for a emergency help. It was not cheap, also it toke me all day. Finally, I drove back to Hertz. They gave me the paper that I can go to pepboys to fix the tired problem, and change the oil. They told me they dont have a new car to change to me now. So I went pepboys and waited for 3 hours. Finally, 8PM, pepboys told me the store was too busy today. I have to come back tomorrow. So I drove back to pepboys this morning 1hour from the place I live again. And It is 4PM now. My car is still sit outside. Noone take care of it. I am going to go crazy. I need to work. I dont have any income for 2 days. Just fix their car problem!!! Who can help me!!!!!!!Finally!!! After 6 hours waiting, the car got fixed. Pepboys told me I got lucky. The car has an oil leaking problem and was too low. If I didnt get tire pop, it would be cause a big dangerous. Also the car has the shocks struts problem. I have to come back to check next time.......
Great customer service, staff is very friendly and attentive. picking up a car and the return was fast and efficient. Loved the car we rented.Mask required and staff wears mask, hand sanitizer available.definitely recommend it.
My earlier review was made by accident. I didnt even know it got posted. Must had happened while my phone was in my purse. So I really had a great experience with Hertz rental car. I was visiting family and needed a car. Pick up was easy and conveniently located. The prices were quite affordable. Also drop of at LAX was easy because I avoided traffic and took the shuttle to right to my terminal. I will definitely be using this service again.

The only helpful employee is Lisa who works on the hertz side. The lyft employees working at that location are also very helpful every time I go and I go a lot for help.

Not a good experience, didnt have the car that I reserved. Tried to get me a upgrade which will cost $29 more than what I initially was promised. They just want to get more money from you. Cars were not clean and they were beat up.

Made a reservation the night before . When I arrived i waited about 25 minutes just to tell me they had no cars available for me. they said they will let me know when they have a car for me. They didnt even offer me any solution. GO TO ENTERPRISE DOWN THE STREET. BETTER SERVICE. RENTED A CAR IN 10 MINUTES.
The wait time is extremely long, which is why I knocked a star off, but the customer service is amazing! If I had a lobby full of anxiously waiting customers all day Im not sure that I would be able to be as cool, calm, and collective as this staff. Not one time in the two long waits Ive had here did I over hear, or experience, rude treatment from the staff. They are always nice and friendly!
So I was picked up by Lyft brought me to the branch Hertz in Pico Rivera after calling them it they had any cars available since it’s Christmas Eve. I was informed yes. Then Once I get there they dont have any options. They offered me a Red Malibu, told them wanted gas efficient car. Then they offered a Beatle Volkswagen. I declined. They said in return that they don’t have any other cars available.All cars reserved and other cars are damaged or are for lyft. Such BS they don’t try to work with me. Asked to Lyft me back home since they can’t do anything for me.They were pretty rude about it. Very upsetting now car is at the auto shop and I’m stuck with no car. Ridiculous!!!
I made a reservation a day ahead of time. When I came in to pick up my rental the bald gentleman across the counter mentioned that they didnt have my reservation because it was last minute . Then he proceeds to offer me a pricier car. I called their main office and they confirmed that my reservation actually went through with no issues. The bald gentleman blatantly lied to me to make me pay for a higher premium. This facility displayed lack of ethics and professionalism.

Yesterday I went there to pick up the car. On the spot I found out about deposit that needs to be paid (200$ no cash). It was almost 1pm and that time they close. I forgot my passport and woman said „It’s no problem you can take your passport and pick up the car on LAX, there is 24h” I went to LAX and our car wasn’t there. Change of pickup location costs 210$ !!! Man at the airport said: you can pick up your car on pico rivera but only on monday. That was a saturday and I needed this car, I couldn’t wait till monday. I had to cancel our reservation and now I have to wait for money back until wednesday. I don’t recommend.
I drive with lyft, and I must say this location is super quick and clean. Their cars are legit and the staff has always accommodated all of my reasonable requests. If you know what youre doing, they wont waste your time, and if you dont know what youre doing, theyll help. ☺

Horrible customer service and supervisor. I called asking for their help locating my truck key that had left in the rental car. They lied and told me several different stories. Dishonest! Its past one week my key is still in there and theyre unable to help! Dont go there, go somewhere else! Bad service!
I drive for lyft and went through this hertz location in Pico Rivera to get my rental. My experience with them is good..they are friendly and attend to my needs..great customer service all in all...I appreciate that in a business world that is full of establishments with horrible customer service and mean employees..5stars..not perfect but good solid customer service!

I agree with the previous review. If Ruben is the bald guy, he is the rudest I have met. I think my roommate scared him because we were getting mad and then the gentleman that helped us after him, was very nice but it really smells horrible in there also
They need to be organized. For example this should be one line for new Lyft drivers and should be one line for drivers - trading a car in and out there should be a line for regular Hertz members not take them as first come first serve.

Good program for people who want to do Lyft
Not as friendly or courteous as in previous years we have rented. The cars seem to not be as clean and ready when picked up. Since they use their cars for a driver service this place has gone down hill. Also tried to charge us for gas. Not sure I will return which is sad because we have used this site for many, many years.

What kind of company decides to leave two young women stranded over an hour away from home because they decided they didnt want to rent them the vehicle they were trying to re-rent? Rubin should be ashamed of himself. If you wouldnt want your daughter stranded, like just happened to my best friend and a young lady with her, I would avoid this place at all costs! As he was closing he was even taunting them saying good luck getting home! Hertz should be ashamed that its employees would treat a customer that had been renting a car for almost a month like this! I am DISGUSTED. I will NEVER do business with Hertz and I will steer every one of my automotive customers clear of this business.
Drive for Lyft, took car back for 28 day inspection. Was told that they needed to give me a different car. Problem is I filled the tank and lost $20.00 because they dont reimburse. Then they gave me a smaller car with 1/3 of a tank of gas. Plus the car has a bad odor in it. Bad customer service.

The crappiest Hertz Ive ever used. We rent a car at least 5 times a year for the last 3 years and this is the worst experience we EVER had. They charged me more than what they told me initially. The car had stains all over the seats and hasnt been vacuumed in a while. Ruben Rojas was the person to take the car in. I gave my initial receipt. He took it and kept it where I couldnt reach it and I never thought to take it. He told me that that was the total amount and the way he explained it seemed that I will only have to pay very little since I prepaid for the car. However i had to pay over a 100 more even though the original receipt I got said Ill have to pay only 50 more. I only realized that once i left. I came back and asked him to give me the receipt I got when I got the car(the one he kept which no other rep ever did before) and he told me he shredded it. Then he told me I do not understand what he is saying and I do not speak english all because I have an irish accent. Then he started telling me how I can not count etc. All I wanted is to get the receipt I originally got but he wouldnt give it to me and told me here is the door get the hell out. He also kept on telling me over and over that I didnt understand what he was saying and theres a language barrier. And to call the billing and get the hell out of the store.
I started with the lyft rental program here in March 2017. They were unorganized then, no big deal, they were new. I drove for that program until Dec 2018, when I went to renew, they wanted to switch out cars, I noticed, there were several other (notably African American males) swapping out or more pointedly removing their belongings from their rentals, swapping as well??? I had two dings if that, and they told me rather coldly, not know my situation (that was my only transportation at the moment), that I could not longer rent with hertz and to remove my belongings from the car, hence the other gentlemen removing their belongings...well as quick as you can claude moved my deposit to a new rental program with CarMax, up in Duarte...Im in Pico Rivera, I have no car now...I live in Carson, my appt is for tomorrow, damn, Im stuck. lyft...hertz, you left a good man in a lurch, I will never forget you...ever.

Great service, very helpful staff, very clean carRented the car for a 5200 mile trip and it was a very comfortable and great gas mileage.
They just wanted to make the most money out of me ofered me the most expensive insurance and never told me there are more options. I book a car at 9am and i had to wait 1:30 h cuz they where cleaning the car. When i returned the car they try to charge me $27 more cuz the car has a little less gas then when i got it. I mean i try it wasnt exactly the same but if i go to the gas station and put 3 dollars it will for sure exid what it has at the beguining. Never again whit this location at least.
Opening time is 8am but they have to catch up on gossip and their personal lives like vacations etc.... so even with zero people ahead you still wait 1 hour to be helped.

There is always a line .... They work with Lyft renting drivers out cars and you will always wait for Lyft ... If you are only renting through Hertz its a pretty fast go.
