While they might be a quality establishment, their customer service for new clients leads a little to be desired. I tried contacting twice based on a referral. The first time I used the contact us form on their website and never heard back. The second time I called the office, spoke to a lovely woman who took my info and indicated someone would call me back the next morning. Almost a week later, I havent heard from anyone.

I have been using Lowys for over five years now. They are very helpful if you are a small business owner. Alex (being a fellow small business owner) gives outstanding advice based on the uniqueness of each business. And let’s face it, doing taxes sucks, they help me through the process every year and I can’t say thank you enough. I would absolutely recommend them if you are in need of an accountant or book keeper.

So what keeps me coming back to Lowys Tax Planning for the last 18 years? Weve worked with Alex Lowy and his team for more than 6 years - for both our business and personal taxes. I really enjoy that they are proactive (rather than reactive as my past CPA firm was) in getting us in in the 4th quarter of each year for a tax planning session rather than waiting until the year is already over. Theyre very friendly to work with, Ive been happy with their service, and have been quite comfortable recommending them to my friends who own businesses.

I was referred to these guys a year ago and spent countless hours explaining and providing my tax information for my business and was set to hire them for a large monthly retainer to handle my accounting and taxes. They charged me $500 to initiate conference with them and I paid right away. They promised me the world, and then a few months later before they did any work they said they are no longer taking on clients due to operational issues, and basically wasted my time and stole my money. I get a call today a year later asking me if I want to start my taxes with them and I told them whats happening about the last time and they put me on hold and said let me talk to the manager to see about fixing this. She comes back on the phone and says we are sorry we will go ahead and remove you from our list. This company is so unprofessional and runs from their own problems doesnt care to amend things. Shoot maybe if they sympathized and said we will make it up to me Id still would of hired them as I understand things happen in business. I would heavily recommend staying far away from a business like this.
