We have a locked mail box, so we retrieve our mail maybe every 7-14 days. I got to my mailbox today and find a card from Stonecrest. On June 18, at 3:15p.m., we used the compassionate services of Stonecrest to put down our 14-year companion - our Dog Molly. We had her since she was barely weened. Me, a fifty-year-old man became an emotional crying mess. I grieved hard for longer than I thought I would. Their card was heartfelt and not simple signatures, but actual condolences. They truly get it. If I am lucky enough to adopt a new pup, I will be using no one else.
We love Stonecrest! They always are friendly and have been there for us and our pup Bruce since the first day we got him! From saving him when he had parvo to neutering him and pulling his puppy teeth, they have cared for him and try their best to fit it into a reasonable budget and timely manner. Highly recommend!
Our 9 month old puppy had an appt for his regular vet on a Monday for a rash. Got really bad with him biting himself raw on his back which we didn’t even see until we got up Saturday morning and saw a huge clump of his hair. Our vet wasn’t open so I searched for one that may be open and willing to take a puppy that wasn’t their regular client. Everyone there was awesome and took care of Tucker very quickly! Would highly recommend! Simone and Dr. Conway were awesome!!
I move around the country a lot so finding vets that I trust is always something that I take very seriously. Stonecrest Animal Hospital was recommended to me by my best friend who takes her dog there as well. I had noticed that my cat, Nala was potentially having some urinary tract issues and they were very informative about everything they were doing. I have been to vets where I get the bill at the end and am completely surprised but they informed me of everything throughout the whole visit. Thank you guys :). Ill see you next week with my dog, Rosie!
I have mixed emotions about Stonecrest. I have two dogs and had serious health concerns about both of them. I had difficulty in making appointments to get in to see the Vets at Stonecrest. Only way to get an appointment was to call in at 7am and pay for an emergency appointment for that day. Otherwise, they had no appointments available. My one 14 year old dog was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure. Dr. Conway was great. Unfortunately, yesterday morning he wouldn’t eat again and started whining and crying. I called Stonecrest to get in to see one of the Vets. Like the last few times, they were booked and could not see him under any circumstances that day. She could hear my dog crying on the phone. I called several other Vets and they were all booked, but not being a current patient, I can understand that. I ended up at VetMed ER. The Vet there recommended that my dog stay with them several days with IV’s and drugs to flush out his kidneys which was anywhere from over $3000 and 5000-. Then he said he would probably need to have subcutaneous fluids every couple of day. I made the very difficult decision to put him to sleep. It would have been nice to have been able to make this decision with my Vet who knew more about his history. I am still wrestling with whether I made the right decision or if there might have been an alternative choice. I need a Vet who can see my dog when it is sick and am thinking of finding another Vet. I have no problem with Dr Conway, but if you can’t get in to see her with your sick dog, it doesn’t matter how good she is. Luckily, my other dog is doing very well.
The Dr. Blazer, her team and all the staff at Stonecrest are magnificent. We have an older German Shepherd who is struggling with health issues. All of the staff treat him so kindly and always love on him. Dr. Blazer is very thorough, answers all of our questions and clearly cares about her patients. We cannot recommend this office enough and trust them whole heartedly!
Been going to Stonecrest for many years. Excellent medical care for pets, grooming services and short term boarding while on vacation. Glad they’re nearby.
I took my 7-month-old papillon there to get spayed and the doctor did an AMAZING job. The incision was so tiny it really help with the healing time and the comfort level of my fur baby. The staff there is amazing. My dog was in GREAT hands. Thank you Stonecrest. ❤️🐾
Staff was very friendly. We adopted dog from Humane Society and it was VERY sick. We had called 30+ vets to try and get an appointment and Stonecrest made room for us. They were thorough and treated our pup great. They will be our new vet!
The staff was incredibly friendly & went above and beyond to get my cat in to see the vet as quickly as possible, even though they were booked. The vet spent time discussing the different options for us & also answered the many questions I had.I will be a return customer because of the level of service I received!
Its probably not the best place to bring cats since their knowledge of them seems to be inferior to the nearby VCA hospitals Ive been to, but if you have a dog its probably great like everyone else says. Definitely wouldnt bring your cats here if they need anything major done if I were you. Unfortunately Im locked in for regular checkups until next year because of the PAW plan. It seemed like such a great deal, but its usefulness wears off after you get the vaccinations done.
The staff are always extremely friendly and we are always given a very thorough report at the end our visit. Our most recent visit was an emergency and the staff allowed us to come in with our dog 15 minutes before closing and they stayed 30 minutes past closing to take good care of her. We really appreciate the compassion they showed us. Thanks!
As a former Vet Tech I appreciate the time the staff takes to explain the whys and wherefores of a treatment plan. It was very important as my dog aged and finally crossed the rainbow bridge. They are extremely kind with the wild hair of a pup I have acquired.
There are vets closer to me. This place is 25 minutes away. Try driving 25 minutes with a 3 month old pit bull... she’s a handful and already knows how to get out of her cage so I don’t even bother with a cage. But I will ALWAYS drive 25 minutes to Stonecrest. They are so patient with ME! And they show my pups some serious love. They treat her so well and she comes out a little sad she is leaving. They treat her well and she’s so healthy thanks to their advice. They go above and beyond. Trust me when I say they provide a great value and GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!
I was obviously worried like crazy when I saw my Emma had something growing out of abdominal area obviously due to this whole pandemic taking her anywhere to get her to see a vet was almost impossible. Everyone needs an appointment and the appointments were months out so I tried taking her to an Emergency Hospital to see if they could do something. Upon arrival to the emergency place a nurse come out and gives her a visual inspection and politely let us know that they wouldn’t be able to help since what my dog was experiencing was a growth from her imbalance of hormones from being as old as she was and not being spade. She printed out a few hospitals that could help and I picked Stonecrest and honestly when I first dropped her off for her exam and I waited patiently for her diagnosis in my car. The doctor that checked her out talked to me and explained everything about what might need to be done any questions asked they would be answered. They are so helpful to the point that the receptionist informed me of a website that helps to fund these types of situations via Care Credit. It helped a lot and I can say that she was in good hands.
Although it sucked having to wait in my car.... In addition to being kept late after hours.... I am so grateful I was able to get a work in appointment at the end of the day. And even though it was well after closing time the doctor nurses and entire staff stayed until every last patient had been checked out.
All the Vets, techs and groomers are great. They always have a positive attitude and are awesome. They treat you in a very caring manner. Have been using them since they opened. Never been unhappy
The people at Stonecrest are wonderful! Always professional and they always treat my Maggie with much love and care!
My dog Chiefy has extreme anxiety so we wanted to find a place that had a good vibe and professional. It took us months to find a place. We called places and some staff were impatient and rude and we definitely dont want to leave any living thing with cranky people . We were referred to Stonecrest Animal hospital and there are no words to describe how amazing their staff is. Patient kind knowledgeable. You could tell they really love animals. Ashley took care of our baby yesterday and my first question to her was Do you ever want to see my dog again? Because I know him and how he is her response was that he was one of the best dogs she had that day. Finding a permanent groomer is a huge relief. I could tell Ashley was going to be good to my four-legged baby she is sweet and kind. My husband and I are so grateful for Ashley. We are so grateful for stonecrest animal hospital. We are actually going to be taking our 13-year-old 6 lb Yorkie there in 2 weeks for his grooming.
I was really disappointed by my visit here. The staff were very professional, and the vet was very good. I do not have a complaint about this part, what got me was their pricing!!! OMG, I knew my dog needed an extraction of her tooth, and I have had dogs get teeth extracted before at 1/2 the price this place wanted. I was really looking forward to finding a new vet closer to home as Id heard such great things, but there is no way I will return. If their prices are this high for teeth, what are they for major surgery should my baby need it down the line???
Stonecrest Animal Hospital staff and Dr. Blazer always go above and beyond for anything needed. I truly appreciate their kindness and love of their profession.
Im so happy with this animal hospital, my first time and everything good. Thank you i will recommend this place to bring his/her Fur ♥️
I took off one star because I prefer to be present when my cat is examined by the vet. I realize of course that this is the way it must be in these perilous times, but I dont have to like it. That said, I really like this veterinary group. They are professional and caring. I will continue to bring my precious cats to these lovely people for their health.
Great service and completely non judgemental on limits of ability to afford care of my older dog. Would highly recommend.
I dropped my pet blue off and was so nervous and scared because I had no idea what was going on with him? He had just stopped barking 2 days prior, and he was definitely uncomfortable for sure. The doctor from Stonecrest hospital called me right away and talked me through options that would help her diagnose my pet blue. We agreed to start with bloodwork and she was able to call back pretty quickly with news that blue probably has valley fever and that it is treatable. I was so relieved and happy, thank you so very much for taking such good care of my blue. With just two prescriptions my blue is back to his normal self, thank you Dr Conway and all the staff at Stonecrest Animal Hospital for all you do. Blue thanks you too.
Everyone was so kind and helpful to work with at Stonecrest Animal Hospital. We will definitely bringing our pets back. I am also so thankful for the honest yet compassionate discussion with the veterinarian, Dr. Melhus, regarding a difficult decision we have to make. Thank you for all you do!
This was our first experience with Stonecrest Animal Hospital. Our cat had an eye issue that needed immediate assistance, but his regular vet couldn’t fit us in. The team at Stonecrest was fantastic. We called & made a same day appointment; they took the time to get our cat’s records from his regular vet & his cardiologist. When we arrived they came out & got kitty from our car (curb-side only, due to Covid-19), brought him in for exam, & the vet called us to discuss. Everyone we interacted with was caring & professional. On top of the great experience, the bill was minuscule compared to the home visits & ER visits we’ve had to make in the past. I highly recommend this vet!
I’m going to find a new vet. I paid 380$ last week to them and without telling me there was a charge asked me to come back for a follow up in a week to make sure everything is ok. Great follow ups typically are free no problem. They then charge me another 50$ just to look at my dog and say he is doing good. Yeah I knew he was good. Had you told me the visit would be 50$ I wouldn’t have come. Just be aware there are huge hidden fees with them. Go down the street there is a vet who has better reviews and charges way less for office visits and follow up is only 28$. I’ll be switching as soon as my dog needs to see a vet again.
Was looking for a Vet for my new Coonhound and couldn’t be happier with my choice. Everyone I spoke to or came in contact with was friendly, professional and patient. I didn’t feel rushed given the precautions being taken for Covid. I don’t have much of a reference point regarding prices but the bill seemed reasonable for the services. I recommend.
Excellent experience at Stonecrest no matter how busy the staff is always cheerful & efficient . They are compassionate & patient with questions. Dr Blazer is never too busy to personally answer questions if necessary i highly recommend this hospital
40 Minute wait and $144 for a cytopoint injection that took 30 seconds to administer. Keep shopping!
The doctors and staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They exceeded my expectations and provided information I havent received elsewhere. I highly recommend Stonecrest Animal Hospital.
Stonecrest has been my vet for many years, through the rodent phase my kids had, and several dogs. They have aways shown the utmost care and compassion for my animals during the beginning, middle and end of their lives. I would highly recommend this clinic and will continue to use them for as long as I have pets!!
Stonecrest is always accommodating to our pets. It was a Monday morning urgent need to get in to have a bite of some sort looked at. While i was not able to see our regular vet, one of the other highly qualified vets helped us out. Now my dog is on the road to recovery. Thank you Stonecrest and thanks to my Paw Plan it didnt break the bank. I also love how they follow up the next day with call to see how everything is going. Top notch service!
Positive experience even with the modified way of doing business. Staff is caring, helpful, and great with animals. Answered my questions and explained treatment options.Highly recommend this Veterinarian!!
Stonecrest takes care of our animals like they are their own. The staff is friendly and wonderful with animals. Their pet care plans are reasonable, their grooming studio is awesome, and the people that work there cant be beat! Highly recommend.
They take great care of our animals!
I have never felt so comfortable taking my dog to a vet. Everyone is just a delight and take great care of my pupper with a unique situation.
My current veterinarian was unable to see my senior dog and referred to Stonecrest Animal Hospital. Taking a sick dog to a new vet during the COVID19 pandemic was pretty nerve wracking, especially since I wasnt able to enter the clinic or speak to the Dr. face-to-face. The entire team at Stonecrest was so empathetic and supportive through the entire process. The receptionist helped me get in for an appointment the same day and guided me through how the drop-off process would work. The vet technician took time to listen to my long-winded overview of my pets current symptoms and her medical history.Dr. Conway spent extra time explaining the tests she was recommending, reviewing the results, and answering my questions.I felt comforted that my dog was well-cared for in some pretty challenging circumstances. I really cant say enough nice things about this team. Thank you for taking care of Tatum and helping get her on the road to recovery!
They were able to see my injured 🐕 same day, he received x-rays, meds, and sound advice. He was in and out within an hour.
I felt welcomed, when both the vet Tech and the Vet spoke to my girlfriend and I I did not feel as if they were trying just to sell me something or use the fear tactic on me when discussing health options for my dog. I may have found my pups vet and both the Vet and Tech said we are hear for the animals and with a smile on their face we hope not to see you soon. To us thats us knowing that your pup is doing great being healthy and happy.
I have been taking my dog Fozzie to Stonecrest since he was a puppy, and have always known he was receiving the best care. The staff and vet, Dr. Blazer, take time to answer my questions and ensure my understanding with the recommended treatment suggestions. The Paw Plan allows convenience in payment for annual health requirements and offers discounts for additional expenses. Dr. Blazer does not over prescribe and is fair in her pricing. The staff are very loving and engaging, and acknowledge each pet as they arrive for their appointments. I recently had the opportunity to observe this individual interaction while I was waiting (by my choice) for a two hour period, and was incredibly touched by the loving kindness that was shown for each pet. I would HIGHLY recommend this animal hospital to anyone!!!
I have taken two of my dogs to Stonecrest and it’s always been a positive experience! Now, even in the middle of a pandemic they were able to get my dogs in. Pricing is reasonable and the staff is great.
What a lovely caring facility.
They vet explained the rattlesnake vaccine and the possible side effects. She treated my pet with care and asked questions about his general health even though we were just there for the shot. The staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely like my dog. A great vet to take your pet for your animal care.
I’ve used Stonecrest going on 3 years. All of the staff are friendly and competent.
Highly recommend for care & boarding. We were new to town and they have been so kind and accommodating. Great to have vet who also has excellent boarding! Happy to have found them.
We have seen Dr. Blazer and Dr. Conway and have been very impressed with both. They are thorough and caring and very honest with their perceptions about our dogs. Thanks for the help!!
Very nice staff. I feel very comfortable taking my dog there!!
They took care of our Silky Terrier for over a week while we were away. Love that we can keep him at the same place he sees his Vet.
Great staff - very friendly and accommodating to a busy schedule. Really appreciate the Saturday hours. Would recommend them for anyone looking for a good veterinary practice!
Thank you so much for your help with Monti in such short notice. I really appreciate the time you took to assist.
They are professional, friendly and efficient. Having said that they are pricey. I should have checked that, my bad.
I have always been a big fan of the professionalism and nurturing staff. When I had serious problems with my dog, Kita, following up to her passing, Stonecrest was amazing with how they handled her. They allowed me to bring her in whenever I needed and gave me the name of fantastic euthanasia specialists. You genuinely feel that they know what youre going through and care about you, and your pets, well-being.
Im in the Valley for the winter with my 11 year old Dalmatian. The staff got me in that morning when I had a concern and I was very impressed with Dr. Conway. Ive had dogs all my life and would recommend!
I have been with Stonecrest for 10 years now and every visit there yields outstanding service with every furbaby of mine. I particularly love the follow up calls after shots and their online portal.
I brought my senior dog to Stonecreek Hospital for a first time grooming. I was a little apprehensive for Poppy but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and professional and the Groomer, Ashley was great.POPPY was relaxed and treated like royalty. We will be back again while out here in Phoenix.Thank YouArlene Peahota
Clean, friendly staff & saw a very sharp vet with a new senior rescue dog. She was very helpful. Unfortunately I moved a long way from there a few months later & am still looking for a replacement vet.
Always such friendly and caring staff, fantastic doctors, and great care provided.
I stopped in to discuss their PAW plans, as I had a couple of questions. I spoke with Jazmyn and she went over the details of preventive care and helped me decide which plan was best for my cat, Juicebox. I appreciated her thoroughness, suggestions and kindness!!!! All the staff members are so genuine and when they ask about my cat, how he is doing, etc. its because they sincerely care!
We took are sweet little dog Sugar to the Vet because things had not been going normal with her. They were very gentle with her, and up front about the cost for each thing they would be doing. Unfortunately things were not going to workout for Sugar. They gave us all the time we needed with her (even though it was near closing). We really appreciate how we and Sugar were treated. Thank You Dr. Warley and Staff.
Always gets us in when needed and makes my dog feel comfortable as possible!! Highly recommend!
I had an appointment and my time was valued. We got in/out in a timely manner!!
Very pleasant and professional as always. Ten years of good service
The staff are amazing! They are not the kind to sell you on something just to make an extra buck! They truly care and I 100% recommended them for all of my furbaby needs!!
I dropped off my cat for boarding while I was away visiting my family. I have been going to Stonecrest Animal Hospital for 5 yrs. I love the staff, the doctors, and I trust them completely!!!
I brought my dog in for a troubleome cough. The vet I had chose the least expensive route and treated my dog with medication. A week later I got a follow call from her. I was just so surprised. I was in shock about the great follow up. My dog was doing great up until a day before I put him to sleep. It was just a fast decision to get him out of his misery. I could tell that the Vet had empathy for me which to me, is rare as they see all kinds of things. When I arrived I was rushed in a room for privacy and could spend time with my pet. I was given reassuring words which helped me come to terms with my fast decision. The thing that truly touched me is that I received my dogs ashes in a beautiful wooden box with his name engraved on it and a week later a sympathy card. Every single staff member signed it and it was very touching. I would choose this hospital. The Vet I had was wonderful and I trust her judgement.
My vet was out of town and I was referred by his practice to Stonecrest. I got in right away and the doctor was very nice and informative, she knew her stuff! The staff was also great, I have no issues!
The stay was very nice and extremely helpful!
Online booking, clean facilities and a helpful and welcoming front desk then Dr. Caldwell was kind, patient and attentive in what was a very nervous appointment for a pet parent. Great team, we’ll be back!
We have been bringing our cats to Dr Blazer and friends for years. From vet services to boarding we have received the absolute best care for our pets from Stonecrest and would recomment them without hesitation.
Great people that truly care for our pets.
Always a great experience. Knowledgeable and on time.
Good place. Pricey though. Nice people.
Char the groomer is charming. Truman will be back
This is absolutely the worst place Ive ever been. If I can give zero stars I would. I brought my dog in here because he was throwing up his food/had black stool and all my research of symptoms online suggested a blockage or ulcer. So I go in and explain whats been happening and that I want xrays. Vet says those would be unnecessary and says shed rather do blood work. The results come back a week later and hes negative for everything(they did a FULL blood panel). Vet tells me that makes sense because he didnt have symptoms for most of that stuff. Im already upset at this point, why did I just spend $500 to test for things you didnt see symptoms for when I TOLD you the symptoms. I bring him back in three weeks later after he threw up a GOLF BALL SIZED ROCK. I tell them I just want xrays this time and some fluids to rehydrate him, he hasnt been drinking for a day or two. Vet again says xrays would be dumb, he already threw up the obstruction. I can just feel around his abdomen for more, lets get him on IV fluids and re-test his blood to make sure hes recovering. Again convinced by the experts I dont need xrays I say ok. Come to get him later that day and he throws up all over the front office, 3 times. They tell me He did that earlier but we thought it was watery diarrhea. (even though I told them hed been throwing up food as soon as he drank his water). Needless to say Im freakin out at this point. What makes a dog not hold food or water down?!?! They reply with Well if there is a blockage it wouldnt be able to pass so it comes back up the front, maybe we should take an xray, we can get him in first thing tomorrow morning. No lets do it now while he is alert and everybody is here. 5 minutes later xrays are done and we see another giant rock and they tell me its life threatening because hes so weak he might not make it through a surgery. Oh, and we dont do operations here so you have to take him somewhere else. Sorry about this, we wont charge you for the blood work today(no kidding). So they clearly knew they messed up if they were offering to not charge for some services. Had they given me the xray I wanted when I first went in then it wouldnt have been a life threatening situation, just a routine surgery. They recommend two emergency clinics, one right across the street. Then proceed to tell me that they dont like referring people to that one because they dont like the front office(then why are you doing it?!!?). I ended up calling around on my own for the emergency surgery and EVERY SINGLE office says the first thing that should have been done for a dog throwing up his food and having black stool is an xray. Two of them even said I should go back and get my money back because its definitely malpractice and they can lose their license over it. So Ill be pursuing that today.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Great place and great people
I wouldnt go anywhere else
Wonderful people!
Great!!!!
