Ive been heading to Downtown Phoenix Dental for about 4-5 years now. Its always fun to have an excuse to go downtown and get something new. The look inside is very modern and makes me feel invited. Every single cleaning Ive had here was always done by staff that made me feel welcome and was very friendly and relaxed. The music is great, and they even valet your car free of charge. Ill be continuing the rest of my dental experiences here.

I have been coming here for dental work for almost 10 years. My husband used to work about a block away and needed a filling replaced - they fit him in quickly. We dont live or work nearby but this is still our preferred dental clinic.Audra is a wonderful technician and there is never any discomfort. She is a sweet person, too. Dr Drew has taken over the practice now and he is great. He explains everything clearly and makes sure you understand what procedures are necessary and why. He is the first dentist to show me why my metal fillings will need to be replaced - other dentists just say do it and make it seem like it is simply cosmetic, which isnt always the case. Great dental practice, friendly staff and atmosphere.

My experience at Downtown Dental is always a very positive experience. They are kind and thorough and Dr. Drew explains every step that is taken. It helps me relax and know that I will be well taken care of. Love this place. The staff is amazing and personal. We have been coming to this office for over 10 years. I would recommend it anytime and have to several of my friends.

Dr. Ballard is an amazing and caring person. He did composite veneers and they look amazing. I definitely recommend if youre wanting veneers without shaving your teeth down or getting crowns.

Front desk Ladies are very welcoming. Overall atmosphere is very good, the Dr. And his staff are very nice, caring and professional. They all go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. I seen the Hygienist today and let me tell you it was the best experience I have had when it comes to teeth cleaning. This is seriously the best dentist Ive had in my entire life. Fillings, cleanings, check ups, everything is so efficient, high quality, and honestly PAINLESS. I legitimately do not stress and look forward to coming to the dentist now. No one ever likes going to the dentist; but the level of care, friendliness, and high level of professionalism here has constantly reassured my trust and comfort.Also its not just how good of the work that is done technically, but also cosmetically! Since going for over 2 years now; Ive received fillings, a crown, and a small cosmetic addition to a front tooth that would have you struggling to determine which parts are original vs dental work. Perfect integration. Truly the best!Also dont worry about parking in downtown, they validate when you park in the garage below them!

Im sure like most Im not the biggest fan of the dentist. And Ive seen a lot, some once was enough. But not here at Downtown Phoenix Dental. Ive even surprised myself that I havent kept postponing appointments! The girls up front are so welcoming and they go over estimates and co pays with such patience. And no pressure to get any of the work done. They make you feel in charge. I had a silver filling replaced and the job was excellently done. Dr Ballard and Daniel took a picture for me and it looked awesome and natural! And when I get my teeth clean, Lori is so great! I have a bridge that is damaged, yes, they tell me it should be replaced, but they nag me about it, they just work around it. They let me decided what is best. That is what I love about this place. Its calm, no pressure and very friendly.

I am very pleased with the bonding done on my front teeth. Dr. Andrew Ballard, DDS and his assistant Frances were very professional and knowledgeable about cosmetic dentistry. Furthermore they did an expertise job on my teeth. The whole staff at Downtown Phoenix Dental is awesome. I have been going there for years and while I always liked Dr. Berscheler, Dr.Ballard is definitely capable. The dental hygienists, Audra and Laurie are so caring and careful. Excellent place. Ill say upfront, that the dentist is my least favorite place on earth. I havent had a positive experience in 30+ years of going. Until my recent appointment at Downtown Phoenix Dental. Dr Ballard and crew were actually wonderful to deal with. They were accommodating to my needle sensitivity, took my personal input on my history with anesthesia, explained everything they were doing in great detail, and were gentle and skilled in their activities. Combining that, with the technology they utilize, and the thoroughness of their Covid-19 precautions, it led to the best experience Ive ever had on a dental procedure. Highly professional and highly recommended!

The hygienists Lori and Audra do a really great job building a relationship of trust. They are both kind, knowledgeably and skilled in their craft. Dr. Ballard has excellent bedside manner. One of his super powers is that he is able to give undetected injections. I’m always surprised when he tells me he has already given me the shot. That is pretty amazing! I really like talking with Shi at the front desk. She does a great job describing my treatment and payment options. Honestly, this whole office is excellent and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

If you work downtown its convenient but I will keep making the drive in town to get the care I receive here.

Front desk ladies Shi and Ruby are super welcoming always ready to explain what our insurance covers. All the hygienist are very welcoming and make you feel comfortable. They take time to do their job right! Dr.Ballard always checks in on patients to see what’s been done and how we’re feeling after treatments. My kids love to get their cleanings there as well! As we’ve all have tried to live “almost normal” with this pandemic DR.BALLARD AND HIS TEAM ARE ALWAYS SUPER CAUTIOUS WEARING THEIR MASK, FACE SHIELDS AND GLOVES. Dr. Ballard and his staff are great! Efficient, professional, friendly and painless. And they all do a great job of explaining everything (what they’re doing, what needs to be done, what your options are). And currently during the COVID pandemic, they do a nice job of distancing, disinfecting and following all of the other important COVID precautionary measures. Also the office is very conveniently located for anyone close to downtown and has convenient parking. Highly recommended!

I’ve been coming here for years but with a recent change in ownership I decided I would post an updated review. Dr. Drew has seamlessly taken over an already great practice. I’ve always had a good experience with the hygienists and cleanings and their communication about my teeth. I love that they give proactive advice to prevent serious issues from forming. I work in downtown so it’s very convenient for me. I pay cash for my cleaning visits and the prices are affordable.

I know Im in great hands with Downtown Phoenix Dental, I refer all my coworkers here. Dr. Ballard and the team give great care and attention to my dental needs and the safety of their patients. I was in and out within 30 minutes for two fillings.

When I moved to Phoenix two years ago, I hated the idea of having to find a new dentist. However, I saw Downtown Phoenix dental online... and I really liked the vibe from the photos. So I went last year for the first time and everyone from the front desk staff, to the tech, and the Dentist were all wonderful to deal with!Come this year, I heard about a new Dentist coming in and buying the practice ... and I was hoping not much would change! Thankfully, it is still the same practice I fell in love with... and the new Dentist/owner is delightful! Really comfortable to talk to and work with. It was my first time at Dwntwn Phx Dental and wow! Amazing/quick customer service at the front desk! In the days leading up to my appointment they reached out when they had cancellations to see if I wanted an earlier appointment, which was nice! And the hygienist (Erin) and dentist (Dr. Ballard) were super nice and straightforward. I think I found my new dentist office!

Aboustly AMAZING! Staff is so friendly and efficient! Love getting my teeth clean here. First time doing a filling at this location and Dr was gentle and explained every step even took pics to show me. After they put a warm towel with lemon and lavender over my mouth to relax me. After so many places I have been over decades trying to find a good dentist that was honest and didnt over charge..I found my permanent dentist! Last week was my 4th cleaning and today was my first filling. I couldnt be happier and DEFINITELY recommend this place!

Disappointed with Downtown Phoenix Dental. I started going to DPD for a few years and had no issues. Had multiple x-rays done and had a tooth with a broken filling fixed up. After working from home at the start of covid in the east valley, I decided to go to a different dentist for convenience. This dentist took new xray and I was told that I had 10+ cavities and needed a crown on the tooth that DPD worked on less than 6 months prior. I felt frustrated and sent in my xrays to DPD to get a second opinion and see why there was such a drastic difference in treatment plans at my new dentist. I was told that the doctor would return my call. I called back a week later and they didnt know what I was talking about. I reminded them and the receptionist went to ask the doctor again. He said that he wouldnt discuss it over the phone and that I needed to schedule an appointment to discuss treatment plans in depth at the office. He was booked 2 weeks out. I was extremely frustrated that I wasnt told about all of these cavities and the crown that needed to be done in the multiple years that I visited. I gave two stars because everyone in the office is extremely friendly and the hygenist did a wonderful job.

I was very nervous about getting fillings but everyone was extremely kind and accommodating.

New patient and everything was efficient and staff did great job. Might be my best cleaning ever!

They have start of the art technology and After going many years without dental insurance they have put me back on track with healthy teeth! They are gentle and took my fear of dentistry away! Great experience. I was a new patient and went for my six month check-up and cleaning. Patients are treated in an open area concept. Hygienist Erin was fantastic - very gentle. I am not a fan of the dentist but Erin made it pleasant.

Always a positive experience. My appointment always starts on time, everyone is super-nice and my teeth feel great. This original review was three years ago, and I still feel the same. I just wanted to add that these are dependable people. You can count on them to do things correctly and not recommend unnecessary work. They will recommend preventative procedures, but are never pushy about them. They take the time to explain the pros and cons of getting this work done. I wish I could find a doctor as good who is truly thinking about my well being and as proactive.

I love going here. Its close to home ( giant plus) and the staff is great. My Dental hygienist is AMAZING and remembers everything we ever talk about even though my mouth is open most of the time. Great dentist and I have referred many friends here.

Worst customer service I have ever received. As I was walking to my appointment the receptionist decided to call me and try to reschedule my. She said the hygienist was running behind and could get me in until 12:30. 30 minutes after my appointment. Starting to wonder why I even make an appointment. This is the second time this has happened. First time I just thought the were running behind, but it seems to be just the way they operate. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to Downtown Phoenix Dental as they don’t seem to value the customers time.

I received a very good teeth cleaning from Audra. I had not had a cleaning for over a year and she was patient and went over a few time my troubled areas and encouraged me to floss more which I am sure is the advice I needed to hear.

I have been a patient for a couple years now. I LOVE my hygienist and she is honestly the only reason I go here. Unfortunately, I will have to find another hygienist because I am so unhappy with the dentist. In my opinion, his work is sloppy. I had a filling done and I felt like he didnt take care to remove only the cavity and simply dug a hole in my tooth and slapped a filling over it, which hasnt even lasted a year. The biggest reason I have decided to stop going there is because on my last visit, when it was time for the exam by the dentist, he laid me back and I closed my eyes as I always do, only to feel his breath in my mouth as he proceeded to do his exam. He did not put on a mask and I believe he got me sick. I was in shock honestly and did not know what to say to him or to the other staff members in his office. I was disgusted and eventually angered because I caught a cold after that visit. I will not be going back.

I forgot to get the ladys name who helped me, but she was the most kindest, educational dentist Ive ever experienced. Im deff going back and recommending her (once i get her name)

Very quick, very painless! Dr. B did 3 fillings in what must have been 30 minutes- unbelievable! The headphones and music he provides is a nice touch that calms you down if you dont like the noise of the drills. Everyone that I have interacted with in the office has been top notch. What a great dentist! Not only is the location great (free valet parking..and it shares the building with a wine shop!), the experience itself is great! The hygienist really took the time to explain everything to me, and she did a great job at polishing my teeth. This is the first dentist Ive tried since moving to Phoenix, and I think I can stop looking!

Forget the hard sales pitches from hygienists, doesnt happen here. No laser cleaning pitches for an extra $120, your insurance wont cover. No electric tooth brush sales. Artfully efficient folks that get a full hour th clean your teeth. No hurried up scrubbing. What about Dr Ben. He is fabulous! No pushy plans to fix things that dont need fixing. He reviews your plan and issues and takes action when needed. The entire staff is professional and personable. Great dentist office to go to!

The dentist appointment I had last gone to (NOT at this business!) brought so much traumatic pain that I stopped going altogether. I developed cavities and I had put it off a few years but I was introduced to Lori at a social gathering and she talked me into giving this practice a try. They were all amazing. I swear they even put on calming music when I checked in. The entire staff knew how anxious and nervous I was. Everyone was checking up on me to ensure I was calm. The Hygienist was explaining everything to me. When I had my fillings done the moment I showed I was slightly uncomfortable they stopped and were able to administer another injection to numb me up. I will be happily returning for my 6 month check up on a routinely basis!Love, Love, Love these guys! Easy parking (for both your car and bike) and easily accessible via the light rail! You cannot beat these guys!

Downtown Phoenix Dental is convienent and hassle free. Everyone here is friendly and pleasant. From regular dental maintenance cleaning to serious dental issues. All will be addressed in the most professional manner possible. Dr Berschler has done a great job assisting me with my dental needs including a recent emergency, after hours that required a root canal and a new crown. Lori is my hygiene specialist who does an excellent job keeping my teeth and gums healthy and clean. Lori also gives great advice for at home techniques that are tailored to your specific needs.

Downtown PHX Dental is professional and courteous. I was so relieved when I found this place after a horrifying experience at a different local dental office. I had a bicycle accident years ago resulting in several teeth losses, root canals, crowns and residual issues - I know my dentists and endodontic care inside and out! Dr. Berschler is warm and I am very pleased with the care I received here. I was sad to have moved out of the area not long after finding Downtown Dental. Definitely recommend!!

Best dentist Ive ever visited. My first experience was just a cleaning and it wasnt the omg get me out of here type of visit Im used to. Audra was the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth. I could tell she was quite skilled at her job because there was little to no pain or discomfort, even with the x-rays (when the plastic usually tries to slice your cheeks open). She also made sure to answer all of my questions throughout the visit friendly and patiently. My personal favorite part was that they didnt try to push anything on me...fluoride, invisalign, etc. Thats something that happened at EVERY visit at my old office and I appreciate that at this practice, they inform, not persuade/force you to do anything.I definitely recommend this dental office to others.

Hygienist is awesome! Dentist not so awesome! I was with my last dentistd for 25 years because he was awesome before he retired.This dentist did a sloppy job on my filling. I had pain so went back to him check it. He did an x-ray and was ready to send me of to a specialist. I was trying to explain what kind of pain I was having since having the filling but he rudely remaredr we know what we are doing here! I took my things and left. Realized I forgot my glasses, I had to go back in there. Because he was standing at the door, I told him how rude he was and belittling. And that I never said he didnt know what he was doing, I am the patient, and I was only telling him what I was feeling, because he cant feel what I was feeling.I went to a different dentist who after taking an x-ray said dentist left part of the cavity and a gap that was visible to me on the x-ray. Taken care of without feeling like youre a bad person or for saying what you feel.Front office girl even said, oh hes having a bad day. Wow! I feel bad that they have to deal with his bad days 😬
