Do not go here. Pre pandemic they were great. Now prices went up. Paid 25 dollars for a choppy uneven terrible haircut. Now I have to go somewhere else to fix this awful haircut. I would give them no stars if I could.

Dont even bother. No where on site dies it say appointment required and no one even answers their phone. Wasted my time to drive over for very sensitive son who cant handle a normal salon only to be told appointments only. UPDATE YOUR SITE OR ANSWER THE PHONE IF THAT IS THE CASE. For now on taking the extra drive over to little chops!

Took my daughter to get just her ends cut. The stylist’s hands were so shaky when she was cutting, it was making me nervous. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Well, she left her hair so uneven. My son also got a cut, I asked for a high fade with an inch taken off the top and it ended all uneven as well. $23 for each cut and they look like a 3rd grader cut it. Pretty disappointing.

Beware if your child is 2+, masks mandatory and its strictly enforced.Weve been taking our son here since he was one, a few months after the start of the pandemic. Suddenly now thats hes 2, we were told we have to shove a mask to his face or the haircut could be terminated at any given point. I dont believe its reasonable to expect a 2 year old toddler to stay still while getting a haircut with a mask shoved down his face. Taking our business to a more family friendly facility that has more reasonable rules.

Daelyn completely saved my daughter’s hair from what could have been a disaster! My 4 year old daughter, unfortunately, had six Bunchems (worst toy ever) matted deeply into her hair, about half an inch from her scalp, while playing at preschool. After watching every You Tube video and reading every article on how to get them out, if you’re lucky, I tried removing them myself for an 1 1/2 with no success. I called two kid hair salons prior to calling this Cool Cuts 4 Kids location and speaking with Daelyn over the phone. She was so incredibly sweet and was giving me such detailed steps on how to try removing them. I decided to bring my daughter in to see her instead, and am so happy that I did! Daelyn worked on my daughter’s hair for two hours, only stopping for 30 minutes to tend to two other appointments she already had scheduled. Daelyn was so optimistic and made me feel so much more calm about the situation. She made my daughter feel at ease too and somehow kept her smiling and laughing the entire time, which is hard for a 4 year to sit still for so long! Daelyn carefully and gently removed all of the Bunchems without having to cut my daughter’s hair, which I was certain would have to be done after reading all of the nightmare stories from parents who had to cut off all of their children’s hair because these toys couldn’t be removed. I can’t say enough good things about Daelyn and will definitely be returning to have her cut my daughter’s hair in the future. Thank you so much for coming to our rescue Daelyn!

The lady refused to let my 2yr old autistic son sit in the train for his hair cut caused my 2yr old to have a panic attack was very rude refused to give me her name she was the pregnant dirty blond lady. She made me and my family feel unwelcomed and unwanted when there was a bigger white child in the same seat just before my son I do not recommend this place for children of color with special needs thumbs way down.

Daelyn was awesome for my sons first haircut! She was great at moving with him and not being at all forceful or making him uncomfortable. She made sure I was happy with everything throughout the haircut and showed me different ways to style it.COVID-19 precautions are in place. Masks required for employees, parents, and children over two. Only one parent per child, which was kind of a bummer because it was our babys first haircut, but she let us FaceTime his dad during. There is an additional sanitation fee being charged, I was warned over the phone prior to making an appointment so it wasnt a surprise at the end.The only reason Im giving four stars is just that it could use a bit of an update, especially the chairs. But the staff is amazing and we will definitely be back for our next haircut in eight weeks!

Friendly staff and did an excellent job on my kids haircuts. Only thing that sucked is because of covid they only let em watch a movie they arent letting kids play the videogames which is kinda the whole reason I went to this place cuz my son is a gamer. Other wise I would have went to a cheaper haircut place. They charge an extra 3.47 as a sanitizing fee But overall besides it being pricey I was satisfied.

I thought this would be a wonderful place to take my 2 year old grandson. Boy was I wrong. First they require a 2 yr old to wear a mask. Second I told the stylist he does not like clippers, she used clippers upsetting him and it all went downhill from there. Beyond that they are charging a $3.50 surcharge to clean between haircuts. Did they not clean before?I left the place in tears and my grandson has never had a worse haircut, good thing his hair will grow back and I can take him somewhere else to fix it! NEVER will I return or recommend this place.

Warning: Masks mandatory and enforced for young children shoved onto their face.One child got a simple trim that was fine but way way too overpriced. Took my son for a simple haircut. The lady not only screwed it up terribly she also argued with us when we asked her to straighten out and fix her mistake. They added a surcharge only after the fact not telling us beforehand for a cleaning fee even though there were signs blocking off the benches not letting us sit and also the play area (the whole reason we came!!!) was closed and yet they failed to tell us that as well. Prices are much higher in store than online. I could have easily done a better job myself and saved more than $50! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Dailyn was AMAZING!! My kiddo wanted a Mohawk but still had to be satisfying for grandma, so she found a unique and super adorable middle to make it happen! They do good work. But they never have consistent people working. Like Ill get use to one person cut hair, then theyll be gone within the next two months. Overall the place is clean and very kid friendly. They have little TVs so the kids can watch there favorite show or movies during the haircut process. For the younger children they have little cars they can sit in, and its a huge hit! And theres a little play section if you have to wait.If this was helpful, give a thumbs up!💛

My daughter loved it. The fire truck was so cute. I packed an iPad and I’m glad I did because the shows weren’t keeping her interest after the first bit. I think I had a new stylist she seemed nervous but overall it was good. Catered towards kids having a good positive experience.

Daelyn was amazing!!!! my son is 3 years old and has sensory issues and always has issues getting his hair cut. this was the best cut he has ever had (style wise and behavior wise). daelyn was so patient with him and calm. she made sure he was comfortable and happy every step of the way. she put on paw patrol for him after seeing my face mask had paw patrol. over all I will only be having his hair cut with her. again Im so blown away with her amazing!

WOW! Some of these reviews are just ridiculous. YES- everyone should have to wear masks people! Even your little ones! We’re in the middle of a freak’n pandemic and Az is one of the highest (if not THE highest) infection rate per capita in the US! If you don’t like it Stay the heck Home!Oh and been taking my son Daelyn for a couple years now maybe- she’s the BEST! Always sweet and happy. Today I went in with my 3 year old son for a haircut. My son is autistic and it’s a sensory overload for him. It’s a struggle for sure. We had Gina as our hairstylist and she was AMAZING! She was understanding, she didn’t give up, and she did an awesome job! It’s the best haircut my son has had yet! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! Thank you Gina:)

Daelyn was so wonderful and patient with my kiddo. Are usually go to the Cool Cuts near Tatum and Cactus. I was not able to get a hold of them so I decided to try out this whole crisis and I’m glad I did. They have lots of different cool chairs for the kids to sit in, it was easy to schedule and Daelyn was great and did a good job on my sons hair. I will definitely return again.

My husband and I took my 19 month old son here today and we are so happy with the haircut he received! My son is very shy and doesn’t do well with strangers most days but Tammy was so nice and understanding that it made the whole experience stress free for us! Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Have used this place 3 or 4 times previously. Even though I dont believe in the masks I always wear one so my grandson can get his hair cut. He turned 2 a few days ago and we cannot get him to let us cover his face. How are you supposed to mask a 2 year old reliably. 3 people standing around doing nothing. I try to support a local business and they are so afraid of a 2 year old who has been there 3 times without a mask that they refuse to cut his hair. They also are charging $3 on top of a $18.99 hair cut for Covid. They must not be struggling too much.

Danielle was amazing. She answered the phone and offered to add my son that day, even after hearing he is an extremely difficult cut. She listened to everything I said and his hair looked great. I’ll def be using her every 4-6 weeks. I recommend her to anyone who has a toddler that’s terrified to get their hair cut. I am happy to give the five stars :)

Wow I love this place! I took my daughter there for her first hair cut she us almost 2! She is a very active kid so I was nervous this wouldnt go so well. Daelyn was our stylist and she was so fantastic! We will be going back to see her next time. She was so good with my daughter! Had her pick a movie, gave her toys to play with and talked to her the whole time. She was so helpful, friendly, and sweet!

Back in June my son had a haircut that was just awful, his hair is like his signature, its what everyone comments on when they first meet him, men and women alike all want his hair. The stylist had no regard for what we wanted, she kept over talking me and saying its too long it needs to be short, then she put gel in his hair even though I said no when she asked if we wanted gel. After washing it out we saw the gel necessary to cover the hack job of a cut did. I posted a review and within the same day the manager Danielle had emailed me about and I sent her photos, she offered to fix it for free, because his hair was already way too short I didnt want to take anymore off and asked if we could grow it out first. She agreed. 6 months and a lot of hair later we went in and met Danielle, she did great. His head is covered in cowlicks but she did great, exactly what I wanted and expected, and even though it was a full cut and not just a correction she didnt charge me. We will go back, we will just avoid that stylist. Thank you to Danielle for providing the best customer service she could have in a bad situation. These days good servicebis unheard of, I appreciate Danielle and her work.

I took in my 5 year old and my 1 year old to get hair cuts. Daelyn did an amazing job with the hair cuts. She made sure to ask if the length was okay and other questions about the hair cuts. At the end she added glitter but before doing so asked if that was okay with me. I asked about hair products to remove chlorine since my little ones do lot of swimming, she gave me genuine suggestions and wasn’t just trying to get a sale out of me. She was BEYOND patient with my girls and overall had extremely great customer service.

Came in with my son and I had a employee named Paige cut my sons hair. She didn’t blend nor cut it even at all. I always come here and never once had a issue. I even recommend this place to my mom friends. But today was a horrible experience. Sucks that I had to pay extra money to take him to a barber right after I left there and get it fixed when I hoped the place I normally go to would leave me satisfied as always yet I was left disappointed. I will still continue to go here just wouldn’t recommend Paige, her customer service was amazing and she was really great with my son but I really didn’t like my sons haircut. That was my biggest issue.

Love love this place. Great customer service from the ladies working there. My son has had his haircut there about four different times each time with a different women and theyre all equally as nice and friendly as the next. They interact with the kids, put a movie/game and just try the best to make the experience more enjoyable. They also ask questions the parents to make sure they get the exact haircut they have in mind. Overall I highly recommend it and worth the 45 minute drive!

Ive been taking my son here from the start and absolutely love them. The cutters are incredibly patient with him getting up and down to turn the steering wheel and even turned on Elmo for him. They keep asking me how I feel about his cut and make adjustments depending on my response. They are so amazing including Katy who we had today. Thank you guys so much!

I have been taking my son here for awhile he even got his first haircut here. Its usually fine. I prefer to take him to the barber but he enjoys the games and videos so he asks to come here. When I came in the lady asked if I wanted it the same as the last time. I said no, and explained. She asked if two all around was Ok, I said I think so. She did it then asked if it was ok, I said the top looks good but can you take more off the sides? She said that I asked for 2, so I said can you do one? She made a face and started doing it and moving his head around all aggressively. She finished it and asked me to look I said it looked good but she had scratched/cut him in a few spots. She apologized and I bit my tongue since my son was happy and did not notice her attitude. Anyhow I am upset w/ the experience Lola gave us, I understand I asked her to cut a little more but she should not have acted this way. Maybe she was having a bad day or something, but because of her I will not be back.

My daughter took some scissors to her hair and chopped it up something fierce. Cool Cuts did an excellent job of making it all better without having to shave her head. It was such a relief when we left.

Second time I came hear got the same results. Hair cut didnt get finsh this time I ask if I had to pay cause the haircut wasnt finished the manger told me it was about 50 percent done but charged me full price. Just wish that they could have been a little more professional. Took my 19 month old son here for his very first haircut today, and I was apprehensive on how hed do, to say the least. Well, my worst fears were confirmed when the predictable toddler meltdown ensued and being confined to the chair (car) was torture. We tried every trick in the book from lollipops to movies to stuffed animals, he didnt bite at anything. Despite all of that, the entire process took maybe 10 minutes, and our stylist amazed me! I mean no disrespect, I chose the salon for this very reason, but his haircut came out better than I couldve imagined anyone could do while working on a flailing child. I know these stylists deal with this situation daily, but watching it in person sure is something else. I cant even tell that my son wouldnt hold still for longer than it took for the stylist to snip one small bunch of hair. As icing on the cake, there were small toys for purchase that were reasonably priced up front, and my son got to pick out his current favorite, Thomas the Train Engine. Overall, great experience. I would without hesitation recommend this place to friends and family, and would definitely go back in the future. Thanks ladies!

Our first time there. And we LOVED IT!! And so did my 3 year old grandson who ABSOLUTELY hates getting a hair cut. But this place is so kid friendly. Has a little sitting area the kids can play with legos, a little train track and they were playing The Cars movie! When its your turn you get to pick out a movie to watch or a game to play! We picked Toy Story 3. And then they have firetrucks, police car to sit in while the kids get their hair cut. So cool..my grandson loved that part. My stylist, Daniele, was super good good with my grandson. She interacted with him to make his haircut fun. She gave him a dinosaur to show him what she was doing with the clippers. So he wouldnt be scared. She did an amazing job! And she was very friendly and we will definitely be going back. And asking for Danielle. Thank you Danielle for making my grandsons haircut experience a good one. I would highly recommend this place.

Its good for kids, they can watch a movie while tgey get their cuts. For younger children they have different seats out of vehicles that the kiddos seat instead of the regular chair.

First, my son got a decent haircut here. So, I wont say we wont be back.But, their advertised special was misleading, and for what kinda feels like a kids haircut sweatshop, I would think the cuts would be more reasonable.It is an option for a last-minute haircut without an appointment.

This location is set up for children, and the staff did a good job at making my son as comfortable as they could (they asked what his favorite movie was and put it in for him to watch during the appointment). The hair cut was just okay. I came prepared with a photo of what I would have liked, but the stylist cut my sons hair much shorter than the picture. At one point I had to ask her to stop trimming, otherwise it would have ended up even shorter. I didnt love the experience, but it could have been worse.

My daughter is 14 months old and desperately needed her bangs trimmed. After doing research and asking friends and family, this place came highly recommended. The stylist asked what we wanted done, we said we wanted her bangs trimmed just above her eyebrows. We explained multiple times that this was her first haircut so we didn’t want to take too much off. My daughter did amazing and sat completely still. When the lady moved out from in front of my daughter and they stylist had cut her bangs almost her her hairline. This haircut is HORRIBLE!! I wouldn’t wish this haircut in my worst enemy. This is something that took all of me to do and as a first time mother, I feel like a failed my child.The stylist then tried to blame her poor hair cutting skills on us, saying we told her we wanted her bangs really short.I told the stylist that this was a terrible haircut and in no way would I ever want my daughter to look this bad. She finally said she was sorry but... But nothing. You ruined my child’s hair and all of our photos from here on out u til her hair grows back.We will be telling EVERYONE about our experience and making it known not to take your child there. Especially if it’s their kids first haircut.If I could rate this ZERO stars, I would based on the stylist alone.The manager and she’s that we didn’t have to pay for our haircut due to the unfortunate event of the awful haircut we received today. So thank you to the manager who stepped in. This is no way your fault, but we will not be returning and making sure our friends and family know about this.

I paid 30$ hair my sons 2nd haircut yesterday. It looked so horrible! I had to take him to the Golden Finger Barber on 43rd Ave and Peoria so our favorite barber, Klark could fix the chopped up mess. I will not be returning to this establishment-not to mention the fact that for being in such a nice area this place was filty!

I definitely wont be going back here ever. The experience was great untill I got home and saw the damage done to my sons hair. It was what shouldve been a simple combover and the girl completely jacked up the front of his hair making some pieces really long and some too short and layered it on the top so now half of it sticks to one side and the rest to the other.

Since my sons first haircut, I was always the one who cut his hair. Today (01/22/17) was the first time ever that I have taken him to get his haircut and I had a great first experience. Of course waiting time took awhile checking in and checkout but that was because their computer system kept freezing. Other than that the haircut its self was a great experience for my son! The car, movies and toys kept him busy! The lady who cut his hair kept asking me ever few minutes how it looked and when I pointed out where it needed to be fixed, she fixed it. Everyone here were friendly! They did exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend this place and will definately be coming back for my sons next haircut!

We took our son for is first haircut yesterday. He is one year old and does not like to be held still, have his head held or messed with and so we were very apprehensive about how hed do. Rachel was our stylist and she was wonderful! We had scheduled an appointment and it wasnt very busy when we went, so Im sure that helped. We got to pick out a DVD for him to watch (they have a ton to choose from) and he got to sit in a car with a steering wheel for him to play with. He did start to cry a bit and Rachel immediately found a toy to distract him with. She was very quick, efficient and friendly. We had no idea what type of hairstyle we wanted for him and she was able to make suggestions and talked to us as she went along and told us everything she was doing. She was just excellent and we will definitely be asking for her next time. Overall we had a great experience!

I sat my son down and said shave the sides and the back dont touch the top. I then pointed to the exact hair cut i wanted for him. Then she combed the front up and and said you want much this off... Again i said No! Nothing off the front. Then she cut the front. And the top. Im so bummed and beyond annoyed. Im never going back there again.

I absolutely love how quick I was seen; granted I did make an appointment earlier that day, I was probably and courteously as soon as entering the door. My son Ezequiel is terrified of electric razors, the stylist was very understanding and not judgemental of the situation. Of course I was embarrassed when my son started to scream as soon as the Clippers came on. I did not feel judged here which was amazing. I highly recommend Cool Cuts for Kids to all mothers! And I definitely recommend asking for Tiffany!

Dont bring your children here. Yes the place is cute and very kid friendly but the stylist are horrible. BOTH of my daughters hair came out botched. It was so obvious they didnt charge me but now I have to go somewhere else and their hair will end up even shorter

We went in without making an appointment, since the website says walk-ins welcome. We walked in to the 7th street location and stood there for 5 to 10 minutes nobody acknowledged us, as 3 workers were standing there staring at a computer. Finally they asked if they could help us. I said we would like a trim for my daughter. They said it was going to be a 3 hour wait. There was not anyone else waiting. My daughter didnt need much cutting, we went somewhere else and was out in 15 minutes. They are rude and even though its cute inside we wont be going back.

This place requires children of ALL ages to wear masks, including 2 year olds. Spend your money elsewhere.

I have been taking my boys here for 3 years, they have always been pretty cool. Had an appointment today, that I made 7 days ago. We arrive, store is closed with a hand written sign store is closed. Ok, this wouldnt normally be a big deal but they had plenty of time to notify customers, if it was an emergency, state so on the hand written note, you had enough time to write store closed. Say something, SMH. Thankfully we had our appointments early enough before their birthday party to go elsewhere.

Not sure how this place gets good reviews. My daughters haircut was okay but the stylist shouldn’t be working with kids, she’s short, crabby, and yanked her hair all around. We’ve been to 3 places over my daughters 3 years and never had such a stylist so rude.

It was my sons first haircut and the lady who cut his hair asked me what kind of haircut i wanted. I showed her a picture and she did it well but then began cutting the front part and she left him a horrible front part. It looks like my son cut his hair by himself. Now Im waiting for it to grow again. We didnt cut his hair from birth until now and I regret it. She did a terrible job. I do not recommend this place she did a horrible job. I believe her name was Lola. Do not take your kids there with her. Please chose someone else. The other workers are not at fault. They seem to be doing a good job.

Im appalled that when she attempted to discuss the obvious issues (sides dont match/uneven) the manager acted like she was just trying to get out of paying! Which btw she did still pay for. I would NOT have. His haircut prior to this I had a barber fix but no one can fix the huge chunks of missing hair unless he goes all the way buzz cut.

I drive from North Scottsdale to see Karen. Shes been doing all if my kids hair for years since she was at the Scottsdale location. Coming from NYC I was very particular in who touched my sons hair. I like his hair cut not shaved like a barbershop. She takes her time and does exactly what I ask her to do.

One of the workers messed up my childs hair but thanks so very much to this lovely lady Daelyn who fixed my little boys hair and made him look so much better and handsome thank u so much Daelyn u saved this mommys sadness and made it happiness I will definitely recommend anybody to her shes amazing and great with kids of all ages

Refrain from getting your child a fade at this place. The stylist that cut our sons hair did a terrible job, by the time we noticed it was to late. We will find another place. 🙄

Great with kids, children can choose a video game or movie while they get a hair cut. Daughters love the glitter spray they use.

Daelyn is Amazing!!!!!She cuts my twins 2 1/2 year old boys hair. They just love her!Not only is she GREAT with my boys shes GREAT with me. (Yes Im that pain in the a** mom gotta have it right!!! )I wouldnt go anywhere else due to how awesome my boys and I have been treated everytime!

Veronica has cut our sons hair for 6 years, shes amazing and great with kids. We drive 25 minutes just to see her.Update: Veronic isnt there anymore and were SO bummed!

They have the patience of saints. Kids dont sit still very well and they will wait until the child settles and then carries on with cutting their hair. Very patient!

My oldest daughter hated having her hair brushed when she was little, so the idea of bringing her to a public place to get it cut by a stranger was fairly nerve-wracking. However, Veronica at the 7th Street location was incredibly patient and kind. She speaks directly to my daughter, listens to her objections (no cape and a blue elastic for most visits). Now she loves going back to get her haircut. Our last visit went so smoothly, she didnt want to leave! If youre going to go before naptime, just dont forget to make an appointment!

Everyone was so friendly and accommodating and they all speak perfect English which sounds bad but really does make a difference.

My son had his first haircut here at 12 months old. He was difficult to work with but our stylist was patient and somehow managed to give him a great cut! I went for his 2nd cut at Walmart and it was a nightmare & a hack job!! Cool Cuts For Kids is the way to go! These ladies are The Best! Thanks 👍
