10/10 would recommend. Giselle was extremely friendly and knowledgable. Ive had a few staff members here for Brazilians and all were great however Giselle stands out! She made the experience comfortable and easy and did a great job explaining aftercare and products. Go see her!

Akima was my wax technician, I got a Brazilian wax. I must say I loved the experience she gave me. She made me feel comfortable and she explained everything to me. She is knowledgeable and caring. I will be going back. I have been waxed before in the past from a different establishment but I must say I like this place better.

The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. The one thing I dont like is the signin system. While I have no issues entering my own information the fact you can see other names and I believe phone numbers of others with appointments that same day doesnt sit well.

I just had my eyebrows done and I always struggle with shape. I saw Greta yesterday and she suggested tint which I never thought about. We tried it and I loved it. She wasn’t pushy about it at all she simply made a suggestions. She was actually so professional and took the time with me which I really appreciated and her work was amazing. Had such a great experience at this location! I was recommended to Waxing in the City after recently moving to Philly and having a horrible experience at another establishment. I been waxing for 6 years now so I know what to look out for in terms of getting waxed. Customer service from check in to check out was excellent. I booked with Akima based off of other reviews and she was nothing short of perfect! I love their precision waxing technique, it’s smaller sections and ensures everything is removed. Akima waxed me so well I felt nothing at all while telling her all about what happened to me the previous month at the other establishment. My skin looks and feels great. Because I was a new client She explained to me everything that she was doing. I’m happy to say that my search for a cerologist is over and I will continue to book with Akima!! I got my first wax in MONTHS here, my esthetician was Gisselle, and she was THE BEST! She was gentle it was like I wasn’t even getting a wax, And if you’ve ever got a wax you know how painful it could be, but OMG Gisselle she made it so comfortable and the experience was not unbearably painful at all. I went here for my very first time for eyebrow waxing and tinting. Jesse at the front was great - very attentive. The reason why I am giving my review a two stars is because of my experience with the technician. I had to keep asking questions in order for her to talk. I never had my eyebrows tinted before and I was expecting her to explain what she was doing, what to expect, etc it felt like I was forcing her to communicate. She was polite, but I wouldn’t go to her ever again, my eyebrows could’ve looked much better and I regret not picking one of the techs that are highly suggested in the reviews. I will try going one more time and picking someone new - hopefully I’ll have a better experience.

So I found waxing In the city ((heaven sent )) they are patient and take their time with you ! My favorite part is that if u have i grown hair they will tweeze it out and it doesn’t even hurt my waxer was Natalie and I literally love her work ! She is professional and she is very kind !

I love the difference in technique that they use here. I joined the membership which makes my Brazilian like $41 each month which is comparable I’m price to other places I have been. I love Tierra she’s quick and see truly forms a friend like relationship remembering even the smallest of details from the last visit!

The atmosphere is super relaxed, they offer many products and if you’re not sure about buying one, they usually offer free samples. Ceci is awesome and made sure I was comfortable. Waxing the city was great when I first started going there. Cecilia was my girl, very professional, gentle, and very meticulous. I love how comfortable she made me feel and I was always super happy with my waxing results. I am sad she is no longer with Waxing the city. I recently was waxed by Jessica and although she was friendly she definitely didn’t make me feel like Ceci did and she missed some spots causing to feel like she just rushed through to get me out of there. As much as I did like this place I definitely will not return.

I love the place and the service! Before waxing I used to shave, I would get razor bumps and my hair would start growing back the very next day! Waxing is the best thing, your hair takes way longer to grow back and when it does is not as dark or thick. I appreciate the woman there for making my experience amazing every single time!
