Melissa is a dream! She did my bridal makeup (and makeup for one of my bridesmaids) for my wedding on 9/22 and she made me look like a freaking princess. Shes friendly as hell, excellent at communicating even when I made a million last minute changes and requests, and my eyebrows have never in my whole life looked so good. As a woman of color Im always nervous to have people do my make-up because in my experience they dont have the proper shades of foundation etc. for my skin tone, but Melissa knows what shes about. She was an absolute delight to work with.

I went here a while ago and dont get these reviews...booking my next appointment someplace elseThe lady who did my brazillian was nice and chirpy, but this place looks like a house and not upscale or even mid-scale at all. Get ready to climb some stairs!She did a clean job, but can get much better in the city without driving to some house in a sketchy Kenzo hood.

I came in as a wax model for a family friend’s training and when I say I’m completely blown away by the experience - I mean it! As an instructor Melissa was so incredibly patient, thorough, hands on and encouraging. She did half of my wax and then shadowed the other half. As a specialist she got hair I had no idea was there! We laughed, she made sure I was comfortable the entire time and I’ve never been so smooth. She’s a professional and a perfectionist, you’re in great hands. I’m 100% sure all who train with her will be amazing waxers because my wax is seamless all way round. I’m also so inspired by how things went I’m considering learning myself lol so there’s that. I had a great time, I’m elated with the results of my Brazilian wax and I’m so so so grateful to have been part of this learning experience. The space is beautiful too, if you’re a fan of luxury environments that are comfortable AND welcoming - MaeBee’s Beauty Studio is for you! (Side note: There are so many special touches during the service and in the studio that show Melissa loves what she does and has a client first mindset. Forgot your body lotion? Don’t worry about it. Melissa is fantastic and has created such a cute and cozy studio in Kensington. Its like coming back home when you visit! I live in Graduate Hospital and still make the trek out to see her as she is simply the best waxer in the city.
