Briana and the rest of the staff was so kind and knowledgeable. While waiting for my ride back she offered me water and a chair after a long hot day. She even shared her portable fan with me! I felt like a valued customer and will remember this experience the next time I rent.
I have had the misfortune of moving often in my life, and needing to use U-Haul resources for these moves. Never have I had a better experience than at this U-Haul. The employees were engaged, helpful, friendly and just fantastic. While the store didn’t have everything I needed, they were great at helping me strategize solutions. I never thought I would say this, but shopping at this one location was actually a pleasure.

Grossly overcharged for fuel without forewarning - $30 extra for supposedly using 6 gallons on a 10 mile trip, doubling my rental cost. Looks like the local store filled the car to full after giving it to me at less-than-full and stuck me with the bill + service charge. Still no resolution via customer service after 2.5 hours on hold and on the phone. If you do use this location, I recommend document your fuel usage with photos and assessing extra fees at drop-off to avoid surprises like this.Edit: Assistant Manager moved quickly in processing a refund once customer service forwarded the request (for the 2nd time). Not a great experience over all, but I appreciated the resolution.

I reserved and paid for a 20 foot truck 3 weeks in advance using the app. Half an hour before I was supposed to pick it up, they called me and said they didnt have any 20 foot trucks within 150 miles. I had to settle for a 10 foot truck because no other companies had anything available on such short notice. My brother and brother in law took time off to help us move this weekend and U-haul threw a wrench into my plans. Im in the process of trying to get a full refund. Kathy was very nice and helped me out but this is still completely unacceptable.
I rented a cargo van from this location and needed several unexpected and often last minute extensions. Management and all of the gentlemen I encountered were so friendly, professional, and helpful. Mr. Hamiltons understanding and customer service was excellent. Im glad I chose my neighborhood Uhaul!
Best uhaul location in Philly. I use Uhaul somewhat regularly, so Ive used various locations around Philadelphia and its suburbs. While most are polite and fine, a few have even been rude, but this Overbrook location by far has the best service and is the most outgoing and friendly Ive come across. I havent gone to any other uhaul location since. The morning manager I usually work with is super nice even though I show up first thing in the morning and is why I keep coming back. The first time I visited this location he went over my contract with me step by step unlike any other location Ive been to previously. Ever since then hes recognized me and always wishes me luck. The trucks are always super clean too, which makes me feel really comfortable especially now during the pandemic.
They need to be more professional and aware
The manager is very unprofessional and rude. When I first pulled up she sent a young man out to tell me I could not park in the parking lot so as I look for a space out on the street there were none. Because I have rheumatoid arthritis and lupus I have problems with walking and carrying things so I told her I was handicapped and could not park far away since all of the U-Haul trucks were taking up any street parking. I pulled back into the parking lot and parked in a handicap space that was nowhere near the door. I went in and needed four packs of wrapping paper which are heavy so I asked the manager if she could have someone carry them out for me and she gave me a cart. Meanwhile there were three other employees all sitting there talking and not working at all including a young man that she had just sent out in the parking lot they could very well have helped me. I ended up pushing the cart out into the parking lot in the rain and struggle to move the wrapping paper into my car. They need to do training on the employees here as my experience was very unpleasant and unprofessional. I run a business and I often have to use Uhaul materials but I usually go to the one in my neighborhood I only decided to go to this one because it is closer to my clients home. I would not recommend this location and I hope you all takes their reviews seriously and take a look at who they have working because as I take a look at the reviews this is not the first complaint about the manager there. I find it ridiculous that she can send him out into the parking lot to tell me I could not park there but she could not send him out to help me carry the boxes. Very very rude and unprofessional.

A little disingenuous in a daily-fee charges. May advertise 19.95 per day but they neglected to include 73 cents per mile and a gas that is added for he 73 cents per mile. I needed better clarify advertising.
IF YOU WANT TO BE BLACKMAILED AND TREATED LIKE S**T, PLEASE DO CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!I made a reservation one week ago for pickup at 9:30 a.m. and return at 8:00 p.m., when I came to the store, the representative told me that I HAVE TO RETURN THE CAR BY 4:00 P.M. OR THEY WOULD NOT RENT IT TO ME SINCE THERE IS ANOTHER FAMILY RENTING IT! I have had all my friends waiting for me at home already and they just BLACKMAIL me in the morning. Also, the person said and I quote:IF YOU RETURN THE CAR AFTER 4:00 P.M., WE WILL CHARGE YOU $50 AND TWICE AS MUCH AS THE RENTAL FEE!!!WHAT A GENIUS IDEA! Why dont you let me return by 12:00 P.M. So I could use your luxurious car for a fancy ride and you can rent it as many as three times a day!Then I called uhaul customer service for an explanation, after transferring me over and over besides saying: I AM SORRY BUT THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO! They finally HUNG UP ON ME LIKE A ROUGE COMPANY!I guess they just dont care about the customers renting their trucks since it is very unlikely for them to have a customer like United Airline that they can not easily mess around with. They are damn right. But IF YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE YOURSELF BLACKMAILED IN THE SAME SITUATION,STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I read the reviews on the manager at this facility. I just dont agree. The manager, Tonyetta, helps me each and every time I have a problem. She even remained professional when I wouldnt listen to her. Contrary to popular belief --- shes an asset to the facility.
I rented a truck last week from this location.... had the worst experience, it took me 1 hour to get a truck, the person behind the desk, her name is Angel, wasent customer friendly at all!! She was rude and not at all have any patience to hear out the customer! She really had some attitude issues. Quincy on the other hand was exactly opposite of her and helped me out in every way to compensate the poor service offered by Angel....

Best U-Haul franchise in the area. Fast service, friendly and skillful staff. They always connect the trailer correctly, the equipment is in good condition and theres fast turn-around.
We reserved a van for a long-distance move, to be picked up at Overbrook. However, after being dropped off at Overbrook by a friend, we were told that we needed to pick up at another Uhaul store several miles away. It turns out that their confirmation text included the address, but in no way specified that they had moved our reservation without otherwise asking or contacting us. Their response was, essentially, a shrug. Were now waiting in a huge line at the other location, missing a family event. This was a terrible customer service experience and I dont think Id trust them again.
Disgusting customer service believe her name was Shannon jones. I reserved a truck for 8 hours over the phone, received my confirmation email... then hours down the line I get a phone call from a blocked number telling me that I had to bring the truck back by 2pm because someone else needed the truck & if I didnt bring it back by 2 I would be charged for 2 days. You cant rent out a truck thats already rented out & booked for x amount of hours. Basically telling me ok you have 2 hours to move your stuff or else youll be charged for 2 days ! Would never recommend this place and that employee should be fired Im sure I wasnt the first person she did that to

We booked the truck and furniture dolly in advance for our moving day. When we arrived at the location, the manager told us that the dolly is not available and told us to buy it from them or get to another location. As we had a freight elevator booked at our apartment for certain time, it was impossible to get to another location. I told the manager that the email that they send clearly says that the dolly is guaranteed at the location(see the photo of email attached). She got increasingly mad. I asked her to provide me one of the dollies in the place ( multiple were available). She told me to buy one or get out (its blackmailing- I didnt have any option as the movers are waiting, elevators are booked etc). I showed her the phone, but she refused to look, started to yell, eventually refused the service. In the end I had to contact the main office, which was not much of a help for this location ( probably the only solution was to fire this crazy woman on the spot, otherwise she refused to work). I was provided the truck at another location, was late for everything, a lot of hustle, money. Solution: dont know, UHAUL cant protect your interest when you call them. This particular location has a crazy manager who tries to blackmail you. Maybe choose another place? Pictures of the lady and email are attached.

HORRIBLE I will never use this location(or better yet.. UHAUL at all). Rude and ignorant workers, I found out the worker was actually the Manager of this location (61st and Lancaster Avenue in Philadelphia). Her name is Shannon Jones. After waiting over 25min in line because she was trying to I guess multitask. Got a horrible vehicle..did my own inspection on the outside, tons of dents and dings. Had to go find Shannon to report the damage before I pulled off the lot, she said it would be doumenented. I return the vehicle the next day and I see I have a claim where I was charged $150.00 for damage I did not do. Like WOW...people are sick...if she needed $150.00 do some over time or something...DONT LIE..now I am trying to fight it, and when I mentioned it to her(Shannon) she says well...you can file a claim at 800- GO UHAUL and its just going to come to my to do list just letting you know that now. So not cool...Imma just say..that thing called Karma is real..and it doesnt give any notice. Thanks a lot UHAUL...never again with me.
