Absolutely amazing and wonderful staff. I’ve been a client for years now, I’ve seen Karen and Ken for therapy. I’ve also had a very good experience with the psychiatrists. The front desk staff is also fantastic.
Within 30 minutes told me theres no way I have bpd because I love my partner. Also disgustingly trans incompetent. Like not even trying. Do not go here, one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. Working on a refund it caused so much harm.
I have had Dr Frankel as my doctor for over 10 years now. He is kind and professional. The office staff are always Pleasant. I never have a problem making an appointment or with my prescriptions although psychiatrist visits are short Dr Frankel always make sure everything is fine and there are no problems for I leave the office.
Had a therapist tell me about her divorces and a psychiatrist whos first words were so waddya want Adderall? Midway through eating a sandwhich.Nowhere had I indicated that was anything close to what I was there for. They then basically let me fill out my own perscription, and on my 2nd visit gave me an insane quantity I quickly threw out out of sheer discomfort and never went back.Anyone whos saying this place is quick and convenient really means theyre lax with perscriptions.
I honestly love my Doctor, Dr. Frankle and I love the speed and professionalism of the entire operation. I am a busy man and I am not looking for a lot of hand holding and crying. I have an issue, I need for it to be treated, and I need to get back to work. Ive known my doctor for years now and I feel very comfortable with his style of mutual respect and genuine concern for my well being.
The therapist, though bored looking half the time, was nice and tried to be helpful. However, the doctor I would see for about 5 minutes was mean and condescending. He cared nothing about my recovery and was just there to write me a prescription, collect my co-pay and rush me off. On top of that, the office would usually double-book appointments so it was very common for me to wait up to an hour past my appointment time to actually see my doctor for a whole of 5 minutes. Additionally, the staff can be pretty reactive since they are used to having clients constantly complain about the poor service. Overall, I’ve switched mental health providers and would not recommend this place to anyone.
Edit: I went to a neighborhood Facebook group to seek a recommendation for a different psychiatrist after my bad experience here, and within a few hours *two* other people echoed similarly negativer/trauma-ignorant experiences at Harmony. Find somewhere else. You deserve to be respected, treated kindly, and taken seriously.--Front desk was a total sweetheart. Thats where my positive experience ended. If you are a woman with PTSD, go somewhere else. This was the most uninformed experience I have ever had in a mental health care practice. I cant imagine how many peoples days are ruined here.
Dr Monheit is amazing. Not only is he there as someone who will keep tabs on your meds intake, but he will even take extra time to chat about how you are feeling/concerns you have/ etc. I am 40 years old, and have been battling depression and anxiety since my early 20s. Of all the psychiatrists i have seen, i feel blessed to have him as my doctor.
This is the worst mental health provider experience Ive ever had. Youre not supposed to go to get help and end up feeling worse than when you went in. First off, you cant see the psychiatrist right away, you need an intake appointment first. Which would have been fine except it took 4 full months to finally be able to see a psychiatrist. When I finally got to see the psychiatrist, I was treated like I was some kind of opioid addict trying to get a prescription for fentanyl, when I was seeking a prescription that Ive had before for my ADD, Vyvanse, which is a harder to abuse version of adderall. I was told to get an EKG and then come back (one month later). I dutifully went to Penn and had them fax the EKG results. Got my reminder call for my appt, thought everything was good. Saw the psychiatrist, and they said they never received the EKG results, so please come back in yet another month. Plus, the prescription that I did get, for a generic antidepressant, has no refills on it, when Ive had that same rx before and could get 6 months of refills without a problem. Youre better off going anywhere else. My next step is to call my insurance and let them know what I had to go through.
Awful. Just awful. The therapist was condecending and kept forgetting really important things in our conversations. The office manager was SO rude to me on multiple occasions. The Dr. I saw was actually pretty nice, but the staff didnt bother to tell me that she only worked 1 day a week from 9am-4:30pm and I was expected to come in every month to refill my prescription, making me take off work.No thanks. Never going back there.
Intake session was fine and made me think the previous reviews were not very honest. The therapist I saw, Karen Kevreshe, seemed caring and took her time. She gave me some advice and suggested an appointment with a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist, A. David Monheit, did not seem to have any interest in talking to me. I felt he made judgments about me before talking to me. I did not feel like he cared at all to learn about my situation and seemed to think I was just there to get drugs. The whole appointment with him lasted about 10 minutes and I felt worse then when I walked in. I would say that the other reviews are honest.
I have been a patient of Dr. Frankels for nearly 5 years now, and he (and the office as a whole) is down to earth, smart, and very accommodating.
Dr. Edelsteins office disrespects my time on a blatant, consistent basis. If you have the option, go elsewhere.
I have always had a positive experience here.
These people are awful. Chances are, if you are going there it is because you need help in some form or other. They hold prescriptions hostage--you have to go in every 3 months and pay the co-pay to get a renewal on routine prescriptions a PCP could give you. The doctor wont refill scripts on the phone and while he does have evening office hours, which is why we went there in the first place, they dont answer phones after 6:30, so if something happens and youre late, chances are the doctor will have left and blame you for missing the stupid 2 minute appointment you needed to pay for to get a medication you need immediately. Awful, scammy service.
Very long wait times. Don’t care about patients. Doctor changed multiple times. Insisted that we come for a $70 visit when it obviously wasn’t necessary.
