This is my 4th time here. Area is clean and staff is professional/friendly :)They used to have VHS tapes for people donating plasma. I’m not sure when but they’ve upgraded to roku TVs with Netflix! Having my show made the experience a little nicer.Would recommend downloading the app so you can make an appointment, fill the rapid pass on the day of, and see where your donation goes. Will be back soon to donate and get some snacks.
Made an appointment because they call and e-mail me everyday. They proceed to cancel my appointment a few days later. I was attending with my fiancé and one of our friends. Our friend couldn’t make it so he told me to just take his appointment since they cancelled mine (probably due to over scheduling) I show up 15 minutes early and tell them what happened and they wouldn’t let me take his appointment. So instead of letting someone donate in place of a person who was not coming they said I couldn’t. I had to get a babysitter, drive to another state and pay a toll all to get here and tell me “no”. This is the 4th time I have tried to donate and Red Cross has messed up. I’m so done with it. Will not be attending anymore blood drives.
I’m a regular plasma donor here. I’ll admit, there are things they could do better like notify me in advance if they know a technician won’t be in or the plasma machine is down so I don’t waste the trip to the donation center...but most of the time I get to know the staff of phlebotomists well and get to know them on a personal level. I definitely recommend scheduling an appointment online or in the Blood Donor app, as well as completing the RapidPass ahead of time, but there could still be a wait so be patient. It’s a wonderful thing for you to be in good enough health to donate and save lives, I hope you won’t be discouraged even if you get deferred for low iron like me or some other reason. I love meeting other donors or seeing other regulars...it always encourages me to keep coming back even if I don’t personally know the recipients of my donations. I appreciate the effort of the American Red Cross to notify me of where my donations are going, and the apparel I’ve “earned” for my donations—I wear them with pride and as a point to tell more people about why I donate!
First time donating at this location (May, 2020) and my only issue was finding the entrance and that was probably just due to ongoing construction. Everything else was very quick and professional with a very polite and kind staff experience. I have already scheduled my next appointment at this location as well.

I went to donate with my husband today and ended up leaving after an hour with them saying to reschedule because it would be better for them. Beth was awful. She literally spoke to my husband so rudely the entire time. She had his id in her hand and inputted his information in incorrectly then yelled at him as to why she didn’t get it right. We were there for 30 minutes before we finally went back to ask what we should do for our appointments. They rudely asked us if we signed in. We told them we had no idea where to sign in and finally one woman came to turn on the computers for us. She seemed like the only nice person there, unfortunately we didn’t get her name. If they’re so busy I don’t get why the constant emails and phone calls. That location definitely does not care for donors.
Every time I come here to donate platelets, there’s always at least a half hour wait when I already schedule an appointment. Some of the staff are unprofessional but some are sweet. They also bombard you with calls everyday but they don’t seem to value my time as much when I come in.
Great place. I really admire the work they do. I support and promote blood donation here, or any other Red Cross centers.
In and out 1/2 hour the young lady the took my blood was very efficient.
Received a mailer saying that my AB- blood was needed. Made an appointment with the center a few days ago. When I got to the center, I was told the donation center was closed for the next 2 days. I drove 20 minutes out of my way to donate and turned down work plans to donate, and didnt even receive a notice that the center was going to be closed. Guess they didnt need my blood that badly. Wont be making appointments with this center again. Instead will wait until a drive is near me. Disappointing...
Accidentally booked an appt. for the wrong date (the app is not great) and when we showed up here, the woman at the reception table was unnecessarily rude to us about it. It was really disappointing. Will try to donate at another location.
Such a wonderful experience. Everyone on who works there is kind and caring and take excellent care of you.
Came over from NJ for my appt. Also brought my girlfriend who did not have one scheduled. After arriving only 15 minutes after my appt. time, the unapproachable and unappreciative staff turned us both away. Seems they dont need blood as much as they say! Wont be donating again.

With an appointment I waited over an hour while walk ins took president over appointments. You try to do a good thing and donate when you have some free time to do so and its just such an inconvenience. They call me every single day for power red (double red cells) that I always give and when you show up they basically wait until you leave. I gave them another chance and sure thing Im sitting watching people leave who came in after me. It seems to be the way the internet system sets up appointments just isnt inline with how things work in the real world, the staff didnt even see me on the appointment list.Im gonna find another company to donate too or I just wont donate. Im 100% positive this wont get any better.
I donated my blood today at Phila. Spring Garden Center 1:00 PM. I canceled my apt. for 1/21 at 2:30 since I was able to come a day earlier. I got a call about the appointment for tomorrow, just wanted to make sure it was canceled. J. Miller
Dont call people 4 times in 2 days, especially on thanksgiving. Thanks but Ill go find a new place to donate now.
