My daughters original wedding date was 3/21/2021. I remember the call that I received from my daughter when her wedding was canceled. She was devastated and so was I; however, we knew that this decision was mandated by the city of Philadelphia. We exercised patience and understanding. I am elated to say that my daughter and son chose a new date, September 5, 2021. Ms. Nettie... thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my babys day so beautiful! True to your word... you were with us the entire day. Everything was done with excellence! The food was delicious and plentiful... the staff served with precision, smiles, and genuine concern that every guest was accommodated. The venue was decorated beautifully. The bartender and bar was awesome! Guests cant stop talking about the marvelous time that they had. With 100% confidence I will recommend anyone to have their event at the Regal Ballroom!

The venue is well appointed with high ceiling and friendly staff. As a vendor, I found the space is easy to access, load and unload. The rooms are close enough that flipping the rooms would be easy. Everything is where it should be, I think folks that want to reinvent the wheel or make the space something that its not would have a difficult time. Overall, the venue is great.

This place is beautiful. I went here for a wedding and while Im currently looking for a venue for my own wedding I didnt choose it because it was too expensive for me. For the price Im glad I didnt choose it. No parking available, food was good, appetizers were good. Cake not good at all. Not sure it came from them but not good. I think the price is too much for what I got when I was there.

The place is beautiful inside. Unfortunately, the director “Nettie” is rude and unprofessional and because of that I’ll NEVER hold an event here again. She caused so much commotion in a wedding involving the bride because of her lack of professionalism with guests! The bride should never be consulted with issues when there’s a director that’s SUPPOSED to hold it all together. So unprofessional! So disappointing.

This is my 2nd time here and it was still fabulous. The atmosphere for the wedding I attended was superb. Food was on point and so was the top shelf open bar!! They had the best mashed potato bar I have ever experienced. Dont worry about the parking because they have that covered. If I ever have to hold an event, it will be there if possible.

I contacted the Regal Ballroom to set up an appointment. Their inquiry form on their website lets you put relevant information(date, guest count, etc) for your event. I was contacted and set up an appointment for a viewing. After having read some reviews here, I asked for a phone number to confirm the appointment the day of, so I didnt drive an hour to Philly for no reason.The day of, I was called to confirm. I got back to them a few hours later as I was out viewing other venues. I was then asked to reschedule because the person who was supposed to meet me was having car problems. It wasnt possible to reschedule due to my fiances work schedule (executive chef with 7 day work weeks) and the woman told me shed call me right back. 20 minutes later I had to reach out because by that point, we wouldve had to be leaving to arrive at the venue on time. She responded, said she herself would be coming and pushed the meeting time a half hour. No worries, 30 minutes is no big deal. 30 minutes after this interaction she contacts me again asking if my date is flexible(its not). She tells me my date is taken. Helpful information WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT A WEEK PRIOR not when Im on the highway on my way to the venue. Awful communication and Im just glad we had problems before we have them money.

Surprisingly based on the location, i had alternative thoughts however this place turned out to be really nice, clean well kept bathroom and ballroom with full bar. Great place to throw an event. Altogether lovely.

Just sharing my experience with this company as freedom of speech is our first amendment right. I was supposed to have a party with them 3/27/2020 which they canceled due to covid lockdown. After the lockdown was ongoing for about 6 months I requested my deposit back, first they said after they get pandemic relief funds so I continued waiting then reached out again and was flat out told no I cant get my deposit back because they didnt have any money. So now over 1 yr later I reached out again because the lockdown is over and people started having parties again. I actually drove past and seen a party going on there, and asked at this time can I have my deposit. Now Chris who I believe is the manager offered 50% back if I sign an agreement that states I cant slander or write perceived slander of the company on social media...what does any of that have to do with a refund? Theyre trying to save face after wronging people who had events scheduled in 2020. Everything in this review is facts and I got emails to back it up. So at this point unfortunately I gotta let someone else decide whos right in this matter. On top of recouping my funds its about principle to me.

My sons wedding was held there on 6/5 and everything was perfect except for the Arroz con Gandules. Whoever made it didnt use the base for Puerto Rican food called Sofrito it has the consistency of a pesto made with 7 ingredients. Also the rice had too much of a tomatoe taste in which it doesnt suppose too. Otherwise the rest of the food was EXCELLENT. The Prime rib was awesome. Also the DJ was good.

Nettie and her amazing team at the Regal Ballroom provided my husband and me, along with over 100 guests of family and friends, the absolute most beautiful and perfect day of our lives.From day 1, I formed a fast bond with Nettie and knew that THIS is where Id marry my best friend. Due to bad experiences at other venues, we insisted on a food tasting prior to even putting down a deposit. Not only were they flexible and accommodating to our request, they included food that was not currently on their menu which was Puerto Rican food as my husbands and his family celebrate all occasions with Pernil, Arroz con Gondulez, tostones and sweet plantains. We included this in our buffet with the most delicious Prime Rib, Penne Alla Vodka and Chicken Caprese. The butlered appetizers were also yummy and they brought the bridal party plenty into the bridal suite as we prepared for photos.I provided minimal decorations that were important to us, including a Memorial Table for our close relatives who watched our wedding from Heaven. Nettie and her team set everything up for us including their own stunning decorations and intermingled some center pieces I created with their own.Our wedding planning was a particularly rough time for me as we had many personal things going on, and Nettie stepped right in, held my hand and became part of our family as she took all the pressure of planning off of me and did it all.Nettie coordinates with all of our vendors and I didnt have to lift a finger. Through the package, we had our cake created by Brendenbecks Bakery and not only was it exactly what I pictured, it tasted even better. Our cake was absolutely divine.The free valet parking made it a breeze for our guests and even the parking attendants were wonderful. The bridal suite is huge and allowed me to get ready on location with our large bridal party that included 7 crazy young children.I could go on forever about Nettie and the rest of the staff (the bartender, the servers, etc) forever and how easy they made the entire process. They packed up our car at the end of the evening and I was able to enjoy both the ceremony we had on the premises as well as our reception- it was literally the best day of mine and my husbands life.I cannot thank Regal Ballroom, and especially Nettie, for all of their hardwork. I urge every bride looking for a venue to meet with the team at Regal Ballroom and to book their wedding immediately. In comparison to other venues that offered much less, the price per person was extremely reasonable.My best piece of advice as an anxiety filled bride to any other bride or groom is to allow Regal Ballroom to do all the work while you get to have all of the fun. Thank you Nettie - I couldnt have gotten through the whole process with you by my side, and you are officially a member of the Santiago Family now. Saying thank you both privately and publicly is simply not even close to the right words to express how grateful I am to you. But Ill say it again...THANK YOU for giving me the best day of my life especially during a time I wasnt even sure I was capable of having a good time at my own wedding. Lovely establishment! From the outside, it doesnt appear impressive. However, once you enter inside, a total renovation has occurred. I can only describe it as thoroughly updated,pristine and gorgeous! The staff were attentive, the food was adequate. I enjoyed the appetizers the most. I was there for a wedding eception. It was very beautiful. If I was looking for a venue for an occasion, this location would be on my list. The downside is parking, although I became aware of the fact valet parking was available. Not certain where the cars were taken.

BEWARE WHEN DEALING WITH THIS PLACE. My fiancé and I made a down payment for our wedding before COVID. When the virus starting raging, we never heard anything from Chris and the Regal Ballroom. They never called or emailed. We reached out to see what the plan was, but they kept telling us to wait and be patient. They eventually put out a statement on their website saying theyre sympathetic to peoples concerns and will do what they can to work with people. After it was obvious they wouldnt be able to hold the wedding, we contacted them about a refund of our deposit. They told us they wouldnt be able to offer us a refund but theyd be happy to reschedule. But how can they reschedule if they dont know when they can host weddings again? They said most of their clients have agreed to reschedule. We have a hard time believing thats true. Even if it is, thats okay if you want to reschedule, but you should also be able to get your money back since its clear they cant hold the wedding. I dont understand how you can make off with someones money without offering them a service. Thats theft. Thats our hard earned money, not yours. Not everyone wants to reschedule and push back their lives because of whats happening. We agreed on a date, and due to these circumstance Regal Ballroom cant hold up their end of the contract. The Regal Ballroom is really showing its true colors during these trying times. This comes as millions of people are unemployed and struggling to make ends meet as it is. To see a business in Philly take advantage of clients in this way is unfortunate.

Was here for a wedding reception & this place is very very nice. The staff was friendly & attentive. Its much bigger than it looks from the outside. The valet parking is a nice touch too.

A hidden gem in the heart of Northeast Philly. The venue was beautifully decorated and staff was very attentive. The butlered hors doeuvres were delicious and plentiful. Dinner was good, albeit a little slow coming out. I had a lovely evening and experience. A nice place to have an event.

Held a family wedding here. The venue was nicely appointed, staff was polite and attentive. The DJ put his thing down. The food was delicious, drinks had just the right amount of alcohol. The venue is beautiful, I didnt think so when I first drove up, but dont judge a book by its cover. This place is nicely done. We are already planning a college graduation party here for 2017!

The minute you walk in the door you are received in such a welcoming way I have been planning my daughters sweet 16 for a year and I must say that I walked in there feeling like a customer but I walked out feeling like family and that did it for me that is how I knew that this was the right place to have my event now fast forward to the day of the event Netty this woman is definitely something else she is a great asset to that business her boss should be proud to have someone like her. she has such a great personality she loves what she does and she does it well she knows exactly what you want,how you want it, and how to get it  she is very knowledgeable and attentive to your wants and needs her level of customer service exceeds five stars the day of my event there was another event going on, on the other side of the venue she was literally back and forth making sure that everything was going well I never needed to go searching for her she made sure that no stone was left Unturned I must say she played a very big part in my event going the way it did I got so many compliments..O and the food was amazing... and I cannot forget to mention the employees the waiters, valet, bartenders everyone in there whenever you made contact with anyone of them they treated you respectful with a smile on their face greeted you hands down one of the best choices I have made. I will definitely be using this venue for future events and I recommend them 100% trust me you will not regret it...

It has been a little over a week since our Wedding Day and we are so overwhelmed with joy! When we got engaged and started to look at venues, it didn’t take long to choose one after seeing Regal Ballroom. I knew a few people who got married there and wanted to go and see it for myself. Immediately when I walked in and was greeted by Chris, his hospitality shined through. He walked me through the newly renovated lobby into the Grand Ballroom. We had 275 guests with so much room to spare. Complete with high ceilings, stunning chandeliers and unique characteristics, I knew this was going to be our wedding venue! Throughout the booking process; Chris & Netty were extremely responsive to any questions that I had. It was also great because with our busy schedules, they take care of all the small details that you don’t even think of! They were so flexible with appointments and phone calls. They will respond to whichever portal of communication is good for you! Now to the food, which was amazing. It’s hard to catch your breath that day, but they put cocktail hour food in the wedding suite so that you don’t have to go up to the stations. We chose to have a captains table for our immediate family and they had an awesome dedicated server to us all night. I chose to repurpose the bridesmaids bouquets to decorate our table, but Chris and Netty took the initiative to add even more beauty to it with their décor. I put my trust fully in them because I knew they are experts in what they do. The staff was so friendly, professional and attentive and all of our guests kept mentioning that throughout the night. Netty never let me go without a drink and she and Chris kept checking on my husband and I all throughout the night. The atmosphere was insanely gorgeous, and the cheesesteaks to go were appreciated by all on the way out. The Regal Ballroom is a hidden gem and when you walk in prepare to be in awe. Pictures do not do justice to how stunning this venue is! When it comes time to choose a venue for your big day, you have to go with Regal Ballroom, I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue!!

My friend got married here and it is a very nice place. Although there is valet parking, when found a place on the street to park which was easier than waiting for the valets. The food here was very good too.

This is DJ Maxx Saint and I was hired for an awesome wedding reception at the Regal. It was great! Awesome staff and food. There was plenty of room for setting up and I was able to project my sound and lights from the balcony floor. My clients loved it and it was the perfect night for the newlyweds.

OMG!! This venue is wonderful not only is the staff awesome from the servers, to the bartender and everyone in between. But the events coordinator Netty goes above and beyond to accommodate your every need. The setup of the room was beautiful, the food was on point. It just made for a truly flawless and magical experience. So thank you!! I would reccomend this venue in a heartbeat!!

What an awesome place!!! No doubt this is a hidden GEM. I wish I wouldve known about this place for my daughters wedding. The only downfall for this place is the parking. So unfortunate there is no designated parking for this place. You can park on the street or pay to have Valet service. I only gave it 4 stars because of the parking. I went here for a co-workers retirement party. I believe the staff are employed by Grasshopper. And what a staff. They were not only well-attended of the tables but also knowledgeable of the items they were serving. Not only that, they were interesting to talk to when offering items. And did I mention the food was terrific.
