Estia is a longstanding local favorite in this city. The interior is large and set up in several sections. You can sit in a large open area, by the bar or in some quiet private and romantic booths along the wall. The menu is extensive and they offer a full bar and wine list. The decor is low key but charming. I tried the lamb chops which were generous and perfectly prepared. Prices are reasonable for this level of food and service. Our waiter was professional, attentive and friendly.Definitely a keeper.

This place is something special. The ambiance is great, the decor is well thought-out, and you are not rushed out the door. The workers are the ally want you to enjoy the experience and they have a keen eye on detail and serve you well. The food is beyond incredible. Although I wish the dessert was a bigger portion but I guess all the good things should be in small portions. I had the lamb chops for the entree and my mind was blown. (Literally like in that Ratatouille scene with the mouse eating the cheese..) very well marinated and prepared. The food was ready quickly as well.. But even if it were to be busier, you still dont feel how quickly time passes.A+ Thank you very much Estia and keep it up, dont get prideful from these good reviews.

My second time here! Fantastic job by all the chefs working the kitchen. My absolute favorite place to go for Mediterranean food. We had the cheese saganaki, salmon tartare, and fried calamari to start. Then we had the African prawns, and the lobster linguine. So good! Our server Miguel was knowledgeable, attentive, and very helpful. Thankful for him, and the entire experience. Well be back many more times.

Thats a good experience the food is out of this world and the service is wonderful I love to eat where people have nice attitudes and want to be at work not where you cant get the waitress she cant get the order right and somehow youre supposed to tip her so you dont want hurt her feelings? This is really a good place to relax and have a good meal because they know what theyre doing and they care about the service they give. 💙💚💛🧡❤️

First guest of the evening has its benefits: everything is fresh! Spanakopita and delicious fish entrée settled my body into a glorious time in Philadelphia. This lime infused cheesecake floats on a bed of honey; whispers pistachio and spiced brown sugar shredded delight on top of a caramel cheesecake bed. I gobbled up the baklava and you are too late for a description.

Ambience in downtown Philadelphia! This restaurant is one of my familys favorites. The drinks were tasty. The entrees, flavorful. The wait staff, stupendous! It is a fine establishment to be sure. The service was great and friendly. The hummus was a great starter. I liked the food a lot. The lobster pasta dish was excellent. The only reason that this gets four stars instead of five was the fish. I found it to really be nothing special. I was pretty disappointed by it especially when compared to the rest of the place. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth visiting. Thanks for the meal!!

Fantastic establishment! We had a reservation for 5 but a last minute addition occurred, and the host was accommodating and even gave us the back room that was available. If youve never had Greek Mediterranean food, you absolutely must go. I was blown away by how flavorful the octopus was (def try it) and the lamb chops my friends ordered were very juicy. I personally got the European sea bass and it was very light and flaky. Personally I would have enjoyed more fish so if youre hungry Id recommend an additional side like their rice. The Baklava rolls were phenomenal; crispy and light (not greasy) on the outside and the filling was rich with the right amount of sweetness. Definitely going back!

Have dined at a Estia Restaurant in Philadelphia, numerous times, in the past. Havent been there for a while. Disappointed in that, the menu had changed quite a bit. Up to a point, its understandable with the outbreak of Covid. However, what there was to choose from, was definitely overpriced, in my opinion. As a Greek, I feel that I can say that!

Highly rated for a reason. It feels right as you enter the restaurant, as the ambiance created by the design of the space transports you from a city street to your favorite taverna. We started our experience with the grilled octopus and the calamari. The first beautifully grilled and seasoned, the second with a thin shell of a batter that needed no sauce. The Greek salad and the arugula salad were fresh and not overly dressed (where do they get those ripe tomatoes?). We each had the whole, grilled fish. All that was left were the head and the tail. Olive oil, lemon, and capers accented the expertly grilled fish for a perfect meal. We finished our experience by sharing a smooth, tart lemon sorbet. Back to the city street with memories of a great evening.

First of all, let me make this clear, if you are here opt for go for the full course dinner option, which includes a selection of starters/appetizers, main course and dessert, and pair all this with a some wine, red or white depending on the choice of meat. I would recommend to call ahead and make a reservation as it can be long wait, being in a big city, the advantage being, good food, but crowded. Its on a pricy end but I would say its all the worth of money.Enjoy the most beautifully, yes beautifully cooked food, with love and care. :)I was so indulged in the food, forgot to take the pics. I have been here a few times over the years and I will say that they are very consistent in their food quality. Super fresh seafood. Usually I go for land animals when dining out, but here I always go with fish. Started off with the stuffed calamari. Superb! The whole fish was expertly prepared and filleted. Only found two tiny bones. The four stars may not be totally fair because we always come here before performances at the Academy so they are always slammed so service lags a bit. I should try them when they are slow, if they are ever slow.

Im glad that I was able to try something new and I really liked it, which was the pan seared Chilean sea bass I really like it because its very flaky moist and not a fishy smelling fish which made it even more enjoyable to eat because I do want to expand my choices when I go to a restaurant and that definitely helped me want to experience different types of fish .
