My boyfriend and I normally try to stay with locally owned places to have our oil changed in our vehicles. We normally use JP Auto Care in Columbus but we were short on time so my boyfriend took my Subaru to Grease Monkey. They charge over $20 more than a locally owned place. I have to have synthetic oil in my car so I understand it will always be more expensive but neither of us were expecting it to be that much more expensive. They also replaced my air filters and when my boyfriend walked out of there it was $150.00. It is insane. Definitely plan on staying with locally owned companies or doing our own oil changes.

They were amazing. Hooked up my car gave great info and was in and out quickly.

Always friendly. Do a good job of checking vehicle and notifying customer of anything that needs to be replaced in a timely manner.

They made sure I was we taken care of and updated me throughout the process of everything they was doing. They changed my filters and showed me the clean ones and told me advice for maintaining performance of my vehicle. I was surprised of how nice they were! Will return!

Overall, Grease Monkey does a great job changing oil and filters, topping up other fluids, and more. The personnel are helpful and polite. What I miss are all the extras they used to do, such as vacuuming out my vehicle and cleaning the windows. Those were some of things that made Grease Monkey stand out from run-of-the-mill oil change places. In fact thats why I can only give them four stars -- really miss all the special stuff they used to do for their customers.

This location is quick, thorough and checks lights as part of the oil change. I recently got a new vehicle and the tag but did not have the screws to put the tag on. Crystal once again went above and beyond and put my tag on for me! Awesome folks here!

This store has gone downhill fast. Had 2 employees stand around acting like they did not know what they were doing or even act like they wanted to do work. One employee in the pit did not even tighten an oil filter on the vehicle beside us and had him crank his vehicle, which obviously caused oil to spew everywhere. On my vehicle, they tried to have us crank it without having oil added to it yet tried to play it off when it was mentioned. Skipped checking all the extras they used to like the lights and filter. Can honestly say I will more than likely take my business elsewhere. Shame, used to be the go to place in Phenix City.

Everyone was helping each other and even made small talk while I was waiting for the oil change to be completed. Normally, when going to other places they have you sitting in a room reading outdated magazines but I got to stay in my car and watch the whole thing go down. Def gonna be going back. Good place for oil change friendly staff. Price was average and they do free top offs and up to 1QT of oil between changes. They were busy and it took a little while but I was in no real hurry.

I noticed that I had been 200 miles over on an oil change and I called, spoke with Crystal and she told me that I could come in even though they closed in 20 minutes and it took me 45!! Bobby did my oil change and they provided the best customer service I’ve ever experienced at an auto shop! 5 stars and highly recommend, will make my regular oil change place!I’m editing but keeping 5 stars, I just want to give Bobby and Crystal another shout out because when I went back, after three months or so they remembered me. Working at chick fil a we learned it is great to make relationships with guest to ensure great customer service and that’s exactly what these two do! Couldn’t ask for a better pair to help with my auto work!

OUTSTANDING SERVICE & FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE!!I have been coming to this place for over a year now to get my oil change. Even with the skeleton crew they have....This place is spectacular!!! Just wish they had more help there. That place is super busy!!I am always quickly greeted by Crystal. She is very personable and always smiling!!! When she isnt already busy, I always see her jumping in and helping any where she can. She is a great asset to your company!!! Very prompt and efficient!!I travel far for work everyday. So I am in there often to get an oil change. Though, its hard for me to get there due to my schedule. One day I happen to have 5 minutes to spare to get there for an oil change. I called them and Crystal remembered me. She told me to still come on in. I was not only greatful but shocked they would still get me in! Even with getting stuck in traffic and getting there after. They stuck by their word and still got me in! If I didnt get in there that day. I would have had to wait another whole week to try and get in. And I was already over due. The best service in town. I just bought my daughter a car. I wanted to get the oil, filters ect changed. They replaced the wipers and of course there was a headlight out. I had no clue how to replace the light. They told me to just go get the bulbs and they would do it for me. It literally took minutes. What an amazing staff. These guys were great! I went to Tire Engineers in Columbus for an oil change and started having serious issues with my truck, to include leaking oil. After 2 weeks of multiple visits to a family mechanic my problems continued. I went to Grease Monkey and they quickly realized I had the wrong oil filter and my drain plug was stripped. They brought me all of the parts to show me. They also discovered that Rivertown Ford put the wrong fuel filter on my truck (I had some work done there a few months back) so I replaced that too. I was shocked at how fast and inexpensive this work was. They were really easy to deal with and I was jaded at that time. I told them I would not leave a review until I felt my truck was doing well. They said if it was not they warrant their work and to bring it back. Well, its been about 3 weeks and truck runs like a champ with no issues since. They earned these 5 stars and I will do all of my maintenance with them moving forward.

3 stars because it over priced. $71 for just an oil change. When I told him the dealership was cheaper he looked at me like I was lying. Went to Ford dealer, $39 for oil change, tire rotation and inspection. Check around first.

I stopped in Phenix City for a pit stop at Hardees while driving home for Thanksgiving. My car wouldnt start back up when I got back in. Thankfully, I was right next door to Grease Monkey! They were so helpful. Without hesitation, someone walked back to my car with me and jump started my battery free of charge. If I lived in Phenix City, this would be my go-to place for great service.

They did great service on my car. Changed my brakes and rotors in a decent amount of time kept me updated with everything going on. Decent prices and great people if I had questions they got answered immediately.

Fast oil change, but it is quite pricey. 90 bucks for a full synthetic oil change. Next time I will go to the dealer, even they are less expensive than this place.

My 80 year old mother-in-law went to the 280 Bypass Grease Monkey, in P.C. Alabama for a routine oil change.After insisting her transmission fluid needed changing then insisting her alternator needed to be replaced she asked how much would all this cost...The technician told her $88. She agreed to the services. To her shock, the total bill was $539!!!Distraught and confused she paid the bill. Thank goodness she had a coupon which reduced her bill to $519 . Obviously she questioned the bill but was told by the manager that $88 was only labor; did not include parts .Her daughter went by this location to speak with manager to no avail. He was very indifferent and suggested she should have understood parts were not included.Clearly no one in our family will ever patronize this or any other Grease Monkey franchise.Taking advantage of customers, particularly the elderly, who often live on a small, fixed income is unethical and shameful.If you read this post I hope you will take the time pass our experience along and think twice before considering this business .

My name is Shane Jackson and I was on my motorcycle and stop at grease monkey for some assistance with putting air in my tires.... then my key fob battery went dead so I was sitting in the store parking lot stuck. One of their employees took me too the store to purchase a new battery and they put air in my tires.. great people and thank you

WORST place to get a oil change JUST left there. Paperwork says air filter Declined, vacuum interior Declined, tire pressure Declined NEVER ASKED ME DID NOT DECLINE ANYTHING. CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES DIRTY UNKEMPT. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE.

They were very courteous and kept you updated on anything that needed to be taken care of other than an oil change. If they saw something that needed to be replaced they would show you and ask if you wanted them to take care of the problem before they fixed the issue

Had my oil changed in a 2014 Jeep Cherokee at Grease Monkey on 280 on Sunday. I just backed out of my driveway only to hear a huge crunch like I ran over something. There were two big plastic flaps for the oil drain and filter that they obviously failed to close and secure and now theyre both broken in two. After I paid over $80 for a simple oil change. 😡Review Update: The owner contacted me shortly after my visit and was able to order and install a replacement for the broken part. I appreciate his effort to make things right.

I’ve spent nearly $600 here just to have my car not fixed. When I take it to a new shop, i’m told that whoever put my tensioner and spark plugs in didn’t put them in right which is why my engine keeps misfiring. I’m out $600 and have to spend another $600. Do not come here, my car was fine before I even went (for an oil change) and barely ran afterwards.

Pretty sure they are just scamming everyone. While Ive been here waiting, every person who pulls in, the first question they ask is what year is the car. Then every response after has been the same. If the person says 2010 they say yep, since 2009 theyve been requiring synthetic. Person says 2014 they say yep, since 2013 theyve been requiring synthetic. Synthetic oil is $30 more expensive. So pretty nice scam. Only one person has driven off.

They broke my tire pressure sensor on one of my tires. Now the sensor doesn’t read the tire pressure for that tire. When I went back up there to tell them about it. He pretended not to know what I’m talking about and said it was already doing that. I never went back. Cost me $200 to replace.

Grease Monkey has been my oil place for about three years, and I know they have outgrown my business I have 3 vehicles that was serviced there for the duration of the time. I was always valued as a customer and grew to know a few techicians because of how frequently I was there. I recently bought a new car and I dont know if the technician was jealous but after one of them left the job he explained that I cannot come in abd vacuum my new car out (personally) which ive done during the time of getting my vehicles serviced there, yes this was my new car but you do not turn away a loyal customer business is hard to keep when someone stops a customer from experiencing the benefits I thought I had you may loose up to 30% of customers in a year. There was no one else there and to not let me vacuum a car just because you feel you can isnt smart for business. Me not anyone else I know will support a bad business with poor loyalty to its customers. :)
