The epitome of professionalism. Every step, from booking the appointment, calling to ask if Id like to come in sooner when an earlier booking opened, to the exam, issues, how/what they suggested be done and dealing with insurance. The staff were incredibly friendly and made you feel like you werent being rushed to get in and out. Did everything to make sure the experience was as good as a dentist trip could be. Extremely knowledgeable, changed how I view dentist and going to the dentist.

When I made my next appointment, it was seamless. I like that they use text to confirm appointments - it makes it so much easier to confirm the dates and times I’m supposed to be there. Dr. Janice is always up front about what needs to be done. I also like they want both Dr. Janice and Dr. Peter work in tandem with each other to ensure a seamless transition that avoids lengthy wait times. The staff is great and very personable. Britney (sp?) made the process of X-rays and teeth scanning go quickly. She is very efficient.I would most definitely recommend K Family Dentistry. So much so that I had my sister and her kids chose K Family Dentistry.

Dr Janis Kim worked relentlessly to complete the extraction of a decayed tooth that had an old crown. The crown had broken off and left the remaining tooth base to be extracted. It was very difficult and took excessive time to accomplish. Ultimately she had to split the tooth base into several segments to extract the remaining root base. This procedure is never pleasant and I encountered moments of significant pain. I was pleased Dr Kim stayed the course and completed the extraction in full. Kim Family Dentisty is family owned and run and provides competent dentistry at a reasonable and fair price. The receptionist was very friendly, kind and compassionate. I appreciate the total team effort to take care of my dental needs

Im not sure who looks at reviews besides me. I look at reviews to find something that makes me feel like this is the place.Well. Here it is. This is the place.The staff is super friendly, the entire place is extremely clean, the waiting area is nicely decorated and relaxing. But thats not even half of it.The equipment is very new, the rooms have TVs, everything feels very modern. Then theres Dr Kim, who took the time to not just open my xrays up with me, but took the time to explain what he was seeing. And why. And what we would do next and how that was going to help. He actually educated me and made me feel very welcome.My previous dentist immediately claimed I needed a lot of work, I was rushed through like a number in the system, and no details were provided to me. Just a bill. So glad I got my xrays and left to find another spot. Oh, the pricing is also very reasonable.If word spreads I cant imagine any other nearby dentist staying open. This is one of the best experiences in any medical related service Ive ever had, and Ive had quite a few since I move a lot. The dentists were also nice and friendly.They didnt tell us in advance but at check out, they charged my spouse $15 covid fee. They said because they have to work during covid time. 1st time ever Ive heard of that kind of fee.

Best dentist I have every been to and I have been to A LOT of dentists and have had a lot of dental work. This place is clean, efficient and high tech. I have never had to wait for my appointment time, they always run on time. The place always looks spotless and clean. They are clear about their pricing and will give you a full price breakdown in advance of doing any work. I have never been surprised at unexpected costs. They are fast and efficient, their X-rays are not tedious and old school. It seems like this place has a lot of gadgets to give you the best dental experience (I.e. different types of setting molds and imaging devices I have not seen elsewhere). I have had multiple cleanings, fillings, and a bad cap (from a different dentist) replaced here and every procedure exceeds my expectations in comfort and quality. The cap is an amazing match to my teeth color and sooo much prettier than the cap it replaced! The cleanings, fillings, cap replacement have all gone beautifully with no issues. Highly recommend this place, puts all my past dental experiences to shame. My teeth and gums have never been healthier. For the first time in my life, I look forward to going to the dentist!

This place was WONDERFUL! Their prices are lower than most other dentists, and the inside is so clean and modern! If you are looking for a new family dentist, I would highly recommend Dr. Janice Kim. All the staffs here are very welcoming and professional. Very clean and neat facility. Dr. Kim spent much of time explaining all the medical details I needed to know. I had some issues with my gum, went through a deep cleaning process. Im a bit afraid of dental treatment, however, she gave a very thorough but gentle treatment. No pain at all. Last but not least, Im aware of at least two other dental clinics in Austin whom I visited asked for almost thousand dollar estimate for the deep cleaning. In this clinic, the price for the treatment was very reasonable and unbeatable.

I loved the patient-centered service.  Her team really made me feel welcomed and comfortable.For my dental check-up, they did a thorough examination with multiple x-rays and consultation of my teeth and gums health.  Dr. Kim explained every step in detail and suggested different options that match my needs.Dr. Kim and her assistant meticulously handled cleaning teeth. Amazing! Myself and my two children came here for a routine checkup. It was my toddlers first time going to a dentist and he loved being there. So I came across K Family Dentistry while looking for someone who could extract a wisdom tooth in office. I really get anxious when going to the dentist, and especially when its with a new dentist. However Dr. Kim was so friendly, easy to talk to and patient centered. Her team was amazing, and really made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Every step was explained, and Dr. Kim suggested different options for my needs.We came to the agreement that I would have the wisdom tooth removed that same appointment. For me it was a huge decision, that surprisingly I felt at ease with. Luckily I had my husband there to hold my hand and a wonderful team surrounding me. My first appointment in K Family Dentistry went pretty smooth, but I am writing this review based on my experience with Dr. Kim on my second visit! I needed some filling on my molars and the injection Dr. Kim gave me was one of the best injections I have ever had! I am just so impressed because needle was the only thing that kept me away from dental visits (I am fine with sound or vibration but needles). Very impressive dental office. Staff are very friendly, and Dr. Kim is very thorough. She really spends time on explaining what needs done during the exam. Office was very clean and well organized. My oldest boy was extremely scared of dentists, but she did a good job relaxing my child. Even though he is still scared of dentists, my son really liked Dr. Kim and she will be a pathway for my son to get out of dental phobia. I am definitely coming back here with my son. Never even made it into the office. We spent hours researching dental offices with in network for our insurance and after confirming K Family Dentistry to be in network not only with our insurance company but with K Family themselves we scheduled my kids appointments. I just received a confirmation message then a follow-up saying they dont take our insurance. I verified again and they are with in network. I told them that but K Family still said no.If they are this wishy-washy with insurance then this makes me question how they are with service and if they really fallow through with what they say they do.

Strongly recommend!! I had large cavity on one of my teeth. Dr. Kim did a lengthy presentation and informed me that I needed a root canal on this tooth. I never had a root canal in my mouth I was a bit concerned until the day because of all the bad stories about the root canal. However, my root canal and crown appointment was done so quick that I had to question myself if it was supposed to be this quick and easy…It was certainly the most pleasant experience at dentistry in my life!

My husband & I wanted to see a new dentist after being disappointed with the extremely long wait times of our previous provider. The receptionist (Monica, maybe?), Dr. Kim, and Nara were all so kind and welcoming (and even spoke to my husband in Korean, which is his first language). Everything was explained thoroughly, and the facility is very nice since it’s brand new. They have a variety of regular & sparkling water options at the front, the option to watch Netflix, and they did a thorough job when it came to taking precautions due to the Coronavirus. Right now they are having a whitening special (not sure for how long), but it’s definitely a great deal compared to other places I’ve been to. I had no pain or sensitivity whatsoever, and it only took 20 minutes! The only thing I’d like to see is their offered blankets & scented towels sometime in the future, and perhaps a more functional online booking system where customers can book themselves instead of just putting in a request. Regardless, I could not recommend this place enough so please support this family’s business! :)
