I recently had my hair cut to a short natural style. The stylist who did my big chop is over an hour drive. Today, I needed to find a barber to give me an edge-up and trim. Id heard about this shop, so I decided to just stop by. I literally drove around the block 3 times because Im shy, an introvert, and I was anxious about just walking in. I almost convinced myself I could do this myself! (LOL) I finally walked in, and asked if they took walk-ins! So, I knew what I wanted, but I couldnt really articulate it. Let me just say, this was my first barber shop experience since taking my son over 25 years ago! The conversation was great! The brotherly comrades can be found in this shop. Theres skill, knowledge, respect for women, family, and community found in this business. And yes, I assessed that in the short time I sat in Mr. Deltons chair and received the tailored, edgy, sexy natural style that is low maintenance and ME! I will be a regular! I highly recommend this barber shop for male and female! #Talented
I sat there for 1 and half hours. Nobody asked if I had appointment needed help or nothing. I’m new to the area and looked this place up. No place to even make an appointment if needed. But they continued to take other clients as they walked in. One barber actually started trimming his own beard. Rude and unprofessional
When the old lady says it time... its time... so when I do need to groom the beard this is where I choose to go. Always a good experience and get a great shave
When I am in town I only use Deltons for my grooming needs. The staff is polite and professional. Ron has done excellent work each time I visit.
This place has the old school barbershop feel. They have something like upwards of 10 barbers. Some are better than others of course. Its right in the middle of downtown Pflugerville.
The barber that cut my hair shouldn’t even have a barber license if he can’t do a simple taper fade. he buzzed the sides of my hair and left me looking stupid with no fade at all.
Great barbers. Great vibe!
Was seen immediately and very satisfied with the hair cut. Will absolutely be going back
Job well done 😉
I Received a haircut from Derek from start to finish he preformed excellent and was extremely professional!
One of the best if your out of town or even a local get at them asap💯. Great fast very neat service.
Ron the Barber is very, skilled, and professional! Definitely recommend.
Great haircut and senior citizens discount. Very clean and Mr Rick was very professional and friendly. The shop remained me of the good old days. Great experience
Deltons is an amazing barber shop that I would recommend to everyone. The barbers are highly skilled and the prices are more than fair in a market where you are required to cut off an arm and a leg for a good fade. I recommend Marcus or Gee if you can get them!
The guys were all wearing the PPE it was good too see the place back open Thanks guys for making my boys look good
Best Barbershop ever!! Go see my boy Ron, hell hook you up with a fresh clean cut!
I went to Delton’s barbershop today and absolutely loved my haircut! I sat in Nicks chair and he did an outstanding job. The overall experience was friendly, enjoyable, professional, and inviting. I got in and out in a timely fashion all while experiencing that classic barbershop feeling. I would highly recommend going to see Nick at Delton’s Barbershop.
Horrible experience. Booked an appointment online with a barber named Marcus, he never showed. I had to call him, in which he made excuses and referred me to another barber. Then he claims how he was supposed to be off. Online however your books are open. Horrible . Don’t book with them. I wasted 40 minutes just to drive out here to an incompetent barber.
When I moved from Cleveland I searched for a barbershop for a long time. I met someone and they recommended Deltons. Rick has been cutting my two sons hair for 6 years. Its a comfortable vibe there. Now they offer online appointments and that alleviates the wait! I strongly recommend this barbershop.
Great spot to get a cut
Deuce left me looking fresher than a duck that wears a pair of shades and a snapback, that drinks a cold glass of lemonade, and that swims in his personal lake behind the million dollar mansion.Seriously though. The fellas are adept, fast, and friendly.
I would highly recommend. Just moved to the area my son and myself went in for haircuts Marcus did great job and great edge up was a good environment I can highly recommend.
My husband loved his haircut experience here, the barber took his time and made sure it looked just right. Clientele was diverse and barbers all catered to each clients hair. The first barber shop experience my husband actually liked, he will definitely be returning soon. Our barber was the first guy on the left when you walk through.
Daltons was recommended to me.I went in waited about 10 minutes .The young man who cut my hair did a AWESOME job. Ron thank you for taking care of me. My new go to barber .
Waited for over an hour to get my son a haircut. People would come in and skip the line without any regard to other customers in the shop. Very inappropriate conversations even in the presence of children. Seems like they CAN do a good job, sucks that they think they can pick and choose who gets good service without consequence. If they read their reviews and cared about their reputation in the community, they would do something to improve their image.
More like basic cuts. It’s sad you go in detail with your barber with instructions to NOT put a hard part in your hair, that it’s natural part when I comb it and what’s the first thing he does!! Yup puts a hard part in my head with his clippers. Now I got a botched hair cut in top and have to wear a hat. The side fade looks great but my top looks goofy. I guess my hair is to good. If you want a bald fade/taper fade then this is the spot. If you actually have good hair and want scissors to be used stay away. I had high hopes for this place!
Since moving to Austin back in September, I have been on the hunt for a good barber. I searched and found Deltons and thought I would give it a shot. I got a skin fade and it was ok. I wanted to have the top of my hair cut with scissors and explained to I believe the barbers name is Anthony what I had wanted. He had cut it and I told him that i wanted to get it shorter and he complained about it. Being in the service business you should not complain about what the customer is paying for. Because of his attitude, I will not come back and I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone at all
This is best barbershop in town!! Place is relaxing. Never a long wait since I have been going. All barbers there are great and cut all kinds of hair. The price is right too with all inflation going on. You will not regret getting a hair cut here.
Never will I grace these doors again! My husband and I wanted a certain style and the Barber on duty said he didnt like the style and just suggested a bald fade. Not up on up to date skills at all. I asked the female barber for a cut and she said her leg was hurting and refused my service but took the next male that walked thru the door 5 minutes later. Upgrade your staff and Customer Service skills.
Caught infectionSERIOUSLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.PLEASE
Harry is the guy I frequent. Great barber. There is another guy in the back with dreadlocks thats good too, but he charges double. Nice environment
Service was very bad didnt even wait on me a wind up leaving without getting their haircut I read them 0 Stars if I could
Great place, friendly atmosphere and Reasonable pricing!! They do a great job with my son who is 4 and doesnt know how to stay still, Ive used a couple different barbers and they were all very patient with him and the haircuts always amazing. Ive never had them try to charge me more, because im a female, its always the same price.I would highly recommend this place to everyone and they are open on Sundays which is a big plus!!!!
Delton is a go to when you want to clean up your look with a fresh haircut. Great customer service. Great haircut.
Get my boys hair done here. They love it.
I was apprehensive at first, but Im happy to say this was the best barbershop experience of my life. T was very thorough and gave me the best haircut Ive ever gotten anywhere. Within two days of my visit, no fewer than five women had complimented my haircut. Ill definitely return.
I am military stationed here in Austin. I have been taking my two boys here since they been in middle school. They are grown now. They have always been professional here. I have always been confortable dropping them off by themselves back then. My sons go back still when they are here from college and military. Great service and staff!!
Delton’s great, best hair cut I’ve had. Great conversations and very home feeling. Gotta check it out, you won’t be disappointed!
Great place to get your
All of the men who work there are really nice and very helpful. My son feels really comfortable when he gets his haircut done there. Harold and Rick are awesome!
This place is TERRIBLE!! Im new to Austin,TX I called this shop before coming in and the dude came off as a arrogant douchebag. I Asked if they were busy at the moment, he said just come and sit down and wait, we are the BEST barbers in Austin ...so I get there, not so busy, looked dead... about 3 or 4 ahead of me with 3 barbers. I sit down and wait 2 hours and still have 2 people ahead of me. And the haircuts one guy was giving looked TERRIBLE!!! 2 of the barbers were taking 15m breaks during and after they cuts. Then the last straw was somebody walked in, skipped the whole line and sat right in the barbers chair....I wanted to flip out, but I just got up and left. NEVER support this business, the WORST!!!! Go to Generations down the street 10 times better!
This place is probably a great, great place to get a buzz cut. BUT--if youre looking for anything else, Id recommend shopping around first. When I walked in, two barbers were on their phones (one, while in the middle of a haircut) and another was looking in a mirror trimming up his own hair. While two customers are sitting, waiting. Now, between that and the alright haircut I got, I owe them 3 stars.I dropped it to 2 because my barber said, thats just $20. I called that morning and asked, How much for a mens haircut? The guy answered, $14. I looked at the POSTED PRICES while getting my cut. Mens Haircut... $14. So when I ask, Is it $20, or $14? I get the answer, Its just $20. You dont get to stitch just in front of a price when its the higher price. So, I gave him $21 bucks, ($1 more than what I was already going to pay for a $14 cut plus tip) and was on my way. Im sure these are all good guys and great with clippers, but this cut left me with a bitter experience.tl;dr - If you want anything other than clippers, Deltons isnt for you. Also, assume the haircut is $20, so when they tell you to ignore the posted prices you wont be surprised.
Excellent customer service !!
Got a great fade on the sides & back from Paul, glad I found this place
Very clean and great professional service
Best haircutt ive had in years. Cant imagine not going back.
Feels good to finially find a barbershop that’s just like the ones back in Louisiana, shout to Ron for the fade.
Arthur, did my cut. Great job. My new barber.
Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because they usually do a good job for the price, but customer service and respect for patron time is non-existent.
Not just a barber shop. Great skills, excellent conversation, tremendous service. Reminds me of the old school shops that you get the real news and what was going on in the city.
Got a great haircut once but the second time I came this light skin dude went to far up my head with the razor and cut of hair that were 3 inches long when I told him to fade the sides. Dont go to the light skin.
My teenage son loves this place and says that no matter who cuts his hair it is always perfectly done.
Marcus did a fantastic job. Couldn’t be more pleased.
They guy knows his business and doesnt waste your time. The place has a nice feel to it. Dont expect a lot of the salon style chatter throughout your session. The man that did my hair this morning knew his craft, and knew it well. Thats about all I could ask for.
Great atmosphere. If you are trying to laugh and get a great cut come here
Never been here before. Got some guy who was ruff on my head. Cut me up when he was clipping my head. My hair cut looked like a 5 year old cut it. So dissatisfied especially when it comes recommended. Never going back.
Anyone could can come here for a great haircut. All the barbers here are very versatile and professional with their haircuts.
This young barber gave me a really eloquent hair cut. I left feeling really good about my appearance.
Delton do a great job on my haircut and edge ups.
Messed up the whole haircut, more like they needa work at SUPERCUTS cant call it a shop messing ppls haircut up! Wouldnt recommend!
Excellent service and prices classic environment amazing owner shows he cares.
Good barber shop. Been going there for years
I went to the barber shop a few times and he would take care of me until I guess he stopped wanting to do my edge up. I suppose he didnt want to waste his time for 5 bucks, although they offer the service. The last time I went in I asked him if he would do my edge up at that time he told me no that he wasnt doing any more haircuts for the day and that the guys hair he was cutting he shouldnt be doing. While I am sitting waiting for another barber to become available he takes another client and begins to cut their hair. I was like WTF are you serious? So his brother cuts my hair and messes up my hair. Will never go there again. If you dont want to do edge ups dont offer the service!!
My husband gets his hair cut here by John and absolutely loves it. He would never go anywhere else. John does a fantastic job.
Worst haircut of my life. I literally had to come home and buzzcut my hair off. I have long, curly hair on top and asked for a lot of it to be cut off and a mid fade. Should be simple enough, but no. The guy cutting my hair looked concerned right away. If you cant do it, just say that and let me go to another barber! Even the fade was not existant. He buzzed too far up on the front left and didnt cut anything at all in the back right. I wish I could post pictures of how terrible it looked. Ive had my hair the same way for 15 years and have never had it ruined to the point that I had to get rid of it. The only reason I went here is because of the reviews, but I shouldve really considered the negative ones more. I hate leaving reviews, but I had to warn people. Maybe its just the one guy and maybe he just had a bad day, but he seemed pretty content with what he did. He also had no problem taking a $10 tip when he didnt have change after charging me $20 for ruining my hair. I spent $30 to give myself a buzzcut with a beard trimmer over my sink. Id recommend any of the chains like Supercuts, Great Clips, etc over this place. Theyre cheaper and can give you a slightly less terrible cut.
Best place ever to get a trim. Went every week here cause these guys are the best
Good service and clean
One of the only Black Barber shops in North Austin that can cut hair.
Great barber shop, my haircut under $20.
My son gets great haircuts and service and the barbers are easy on the eyes! 😁🤩
You wanna be looking mad sexy for 2.5 weeks, come to Deltons. I swear they gonna have you looking right!
Unfortunately, after over a year of dedicated service, I am modifying my review from five stars to one star.Yesterday, I came in for my usual $14 haircut. The same haircut I always get here. A new barber took care of me, which is fine. Ive never had the same person cut my hair twice and I have always been satisfied with the work provided here. This barber provided me with the most dissatisfying experience and the most sub-par haircut I have ever had... and my dorky mom used to cut my hair, so thats saying a lot.I dont know his name, because he didnt introduced himself back to me, twice. His fingers WREAKED of old cigarettes, which is disgusting for a place that should be extremely mindful of hygiene and cleanliness as their hands are all over your head and face for an hour. It also smelled like weed, which is normally fine/whatever, but A) I dont want to smell like weed and cigarettes in the middle of a work day after returning from a haircut and B) would prefer the person cutting my hair to not be high af. Common sense, am I right?Now- onto the haircut. My barber had my back turned from the mirror for the entire duration of my cut. I had asked him to touch up my hard part. Had I been able to see my cut in the mirror, I would have realized that he DID NOT touch-up my hard part, but ADDED an ADDITIONAL, BRAND NEW hard part on my head, TWO INCHES from my actual hard part. So now, I have two hard parts on my head and look like an idiot with an awful haircut. He has left patches of hair chopped all over my razor fade. Cherry on top? He shaved one of my sideburns off of my beard and not the other. I literally went to HEB down the street and bought a razor attempting to fix these things because I was so embarrassed to have received this terrible cut and did not trust him to fix it himself. I didnt want to be on the receiving end of any more damage. My total was $25 instead of $14, which makes absolutely no sense. I essentially paid to get the hell out of there forever.Definitely an unfortunate circumstance. Ive sworn by this place and have travelled from Buda for over a year to exclusively have my hair cut here. Ive sent so many friends and coworkers to this shop. I used to leave this place feeling confident, sharp, and positive and it is TRULY a bummer that thats over now.Would consider modifying my review upon issuance of a refund, a free of charge haircut to fix this one somewhere else, or further action taken by management with this barber. Feel free to reach out.In the meantime, be mindful of where you choose to have your haircut. Your hair is an extension of who you are and you should work with someone who respects that ideal for themselves, the business they represent and their clients. Thanks for the memories???
Door shows a VISA sticker but apparently they only accept cash. When I walked in, three dudes looked at me and nobody said anything. Wasnt sure if they work there or not until one finally said something. Turned out they were all barbers.Cant comment on the actual service because I didnt have any cash and left again. But all in all not a positive experience.
The guys do great work here, craftsmen, Ive been coming here for a year never been disappointed with my fade.
If youre looking for a barbershop this is it. Dont expect to be walking into a sportsclips and have a nice hey how are you!?, welcome when you walk in. These guys know what theyre doing and are there to do just that, cut hair. If you walk in on a week day like I did during lunch time be prepared to wait a little while because this place stays busy. Average price looks to be about $15 a haircut and dont expect a quicky either, these guys take their time and do it right the first time. If you want a great haircut without all the extra sales pitches and shiny bullsh*t bells and whistles, support small business, this is your place.
Couldve been a better fade
A nice barbershop with multiple barbers. First come first served.
Old school meets new school. Great place. Has that old small town barbershop feel, but they can cut any hairstyle and you dont feel like your at some old mans barbers shop. Marcus Johnson cut my hair and killed it. Serval barbers there, all doing their art of cutting hair.Wow, so happy to have found someone local that can cut a flat top when my main barber is out of town. Use to have to go 2222 & Burnet to Petes Flat Top Shop, but sadly Pete had to retire after serving Austin for a bazillion years. His son Robert has a shop at Parmer and MoPac but that is still a drive and there is only one barber there.Seeing I wear a flat top and I was leary, even more so because I saw a one poor review about them not being able to do a high fade. But I saw their star rating was so high I would still try.So glad I did. Marcus Tha Barber came to me and asked what I wear, and I told him and even asked can you do a flat top? He said sure, and so fast you know it had to be true. He was able to follow the lines my main guy (been seeing him for 25yrs) cuts so I had the same cut when done. I dont wear mine high and tight, its more of a fade. I even had my first staright razor shave (one off the bucket list). The price was very fair and just enough conversation where he can still cut, but you get to know him.All kinds of clientele were there too, African American, Hispanic and this white boy (yeah, thats me), there were some other Caucasians too. I say this because its really an eclitic mix, and that is imporant cause different types of hair require unique skills. I really feel they can do it all, only thing I didnt see what scalp art, but after seeing Marcus master that straight razor, I bet he could have put the Texas A&M logo on the back of my head if I had wanted it.In closing, very happy I tried and will be back when ever my main barber of 25yrs is out. Thanks Marcus Tha Barber and Deltons. Oh, and they like Pflugerville Taco House so another feather in the hat for them...
Love the place, I always have a good laugh when I go in they are very patient with my son, Will is my favorite,
This is the place to go when you need a fresh cut, always on point. I will go nowhere else but here, Jon is a magician with the clippers.
Great barbershop. The way barbershops are supposed to be.
Always great guys ready to shape up the boy even on sunday
Always do right by me. Incredible staff who are all highly skilled.
If I could drop the footage on my lineup I would
Good rate, good beard trum
Great barbers good price.
The barber overcharged me for a haircut when the prices were posted on a menu board right in front of us. He claimed the posted prices were old.It isnt a good business practice to overcharge a customer. I wont return.
This brother knows how to cut! And his barbers do too!
Delton gave me a great cut! In and out in 10 min.
The barber who cut my hair rushed, and ended up pushing me back so much. My hair didn’t even look touched at all, just for me to pay $15. Overall bad experience and horrible barber.
Ron is hands down the best in there.
Haircut was bad ask for half an inch off they took 2 inches off and pushed my line back it was poo. Theres really only one guy who can cut hair and hes the first barber on the left when you walk in everybody else is pretty sloppy and could care less about your hair.
DO NOT GO SO TERRIBLE
This place is tiny! Good haircut for good money.
Walked in an no one said anything. Asked how do you sign in for a cut and they stared at like I was crazy. The really need to work on their customer service.
Great place to get a haircut highly recomend it!!!!
Its an okay place to get a haircut, they have a lot of customers so that means people like their services.
Love the environment love the people
The guy didnt know how to do an high fade plus he did not have razors ..Come on guy ? You are a freaking barber not a janitor. This is a part of the job.
