By far the best contractor experience we have had in a long time. Steam It showed up on time (early, in fact. Shocking!) on a Monday morning. Their staff was polite and did a phenomenal job cleaning new tile that I have not been able to find anyone who could clean it. I will be hiring them every time I need my floors cleaned by a professional.

I called Austin Steam It and spoke with Mike the owner and received the warmest most welcoming greeting and so I booked with them. We are disabled seniors who are immuno-compromised so I explained our special situation and he sent his technician Eddie today, who was not only prompt and courteous, efficient and caring and most of all, thoughtfully professional. Eddie wore a mask and booties to stay clean and even took the time to wrap towels around the stair banisters respectful of our new wood floors and banisters. They were prompt, professional, and very reasonable. The carpet looked and smelled great. I totally forgot that my little dog that passed away last year had pottied in the spare bedroom so I didn’t get the enzyme treatment. Big mistake! It was just as they told me it will smell without the enzyme treatment. They were very gracious and gave me a great rate to come back and treat that room with the enzyme treatment. I will use them again and highly recommend them.

Absolutely AWFUL! Gerry was the rudest and most unprofessional person I’ve ever met! The level of effort he put in was abysmal... When I questioned about some of the still dirty areas he claimed he went over it 3-4 times and when I told him I was watching the entire time he verbally lashed out because I “set him up”. Needless to say it escalated enough to where I needed to call the owner.Mike was a pleasure to speak with but the ship had already sailed. While the phone was ringing it was almost as if he was going through the stages of grieving saying he didn’t care if I called, then quickly changing his tone to, stating he was “going to get fired” and “he didn’t know what he’s going to do for his wife and kids”. Absolutely unprofessional and absurd! Mike actually said people specifically request this person...Such a manipulative person! And this is the best they have?!Lastly, this kind of work was something you’d get from renting a cleaner from Walmart and doing it yourself. With that said, the still dirty areas I referred to, we got a wash rag out put in some elbow grease and presto! Gone! I’d give negative stars if that was a thing. And it’s all based on GERRY and his “professionalism”! Mike could’ve saved it if Gerry hadn’t done so much professional damage to this company. I’ll gladly be telling everyone I know about this experience.

Like most people I tend to go by reviews and Austin steam has good reviews and their website/FB page with pictures and videos of their work done, to know what to expect. Baby due this month, so want to have house clean and ready.Unfortunately, to me they did not meet up to their own standards. The guy Andy was nice, on time, and said he tried (when asked about parts of the carpet that were still dirty). As he said, he tried, but overall not happy not satisfied, just ended up with a non-steam carpet cleaning just powered washed carpet which was more like a quick vacuum.I mentioned several times I was expecting to see the steam coming out of the machine like I had seen in their pictures/videos. To which he said it was really more of a power wash 😕 Also, mentioned pictures of really bad carpets coming out looking nice, like you can see the difference, you can see the lines or triangles of the clean area vs the dirty area, didnt see any difference really. My carpet was not that dirty (except for a hallway) and its had a rug all the time, so I expected the dirt that I could see to be cleaned/gone but no. Finished the carpet cleaning in less than 30mins, which was more of a vacuum than anything, no cleaning was done.My dad ended up renting a carpet cleaning machine from HEB and really cleaned the carpet, no more visible dirty spots. To which Andy said those machines wont do anything, if he couldnt remove it, those machines wouldnt, well he was wrong.Yes, my service was done through my home warranty, and I even asked if he had come to a regular customer and not through my warranty would the result be any different? Which he said it would be the same.Hope their other services are better and really steam clean or just clean as their name states but as far as carpet cleaning, nope will go w/another company for next time.

What a great source for a teacher! We all spend tons of money on classroom rugs year after year. This year I refused. I decided just to get them cleaned really well. They came out beautifully and at a fraction of the cost of buying new ones!

I have used Steam IT for a number of years now. Originally just getting the carpets cleaned, I have now had the furniture cleaned several times. Ive always had multiple cats and dogs and the cleaning they do is great. The two most recent cleanings Tyler has been out to my house. Not only is he a personable young man, he takes great pride in his job. As always, Im very happy.

Would NOT recommend! Buyer BEWARE!!! Found this company through Groupon and reviews looked good. My house is new but wanted a clean before the holidays. He arrived at 11:10 am and was gone before NOON! It takes me about this long to do a vacuum on all my carpets let alone do a cleaning! I have a 2600 Sq ft house with majority carpet. First thing he wanted to do was up sell the pet treatment for additional $20 an area ($120 increase in price). I have two small dogs (non allergic, non shedding, very little scent breed). Bottom line- carpet is still very wet (15 hrs later) and the few areas that were soiled (walking areas) STILL look the sane— matted from walking on and soiled. The services I received cost $193.00 ——— COMPLETE waste of money.And shady billing ... the tech wanted cash or check for the two areas of pet treatment I purchased... check cashed same day!! Why could that NOT go on the service bill????? Hmmmm...

Had Austin Steam It come out and clean my carpet last minute. They moved things around and fit me in. Which I really appreciated. And the carpet looks great! Really happy with these guys. Will definitely use them again.

First the up-sell, extra $40.00 a room for Pet Treatment. When I hire a carpet cleaning service, I expect this service to be part of cleaning the carpet. The last minute fee was a surprise and added 100 dollars to the bill. (Maybe a nominal fee such as 20 dollars a room would have been understandable.) Now to the quality of the job. Andy was here for 45 minutes. Carpets were left soaking wet. Carpet is still stained in various places. It seemed no extra effort was made in getting stains out. I hire a carpet cleaning service about twice a year. This is the first time I used Steam It. We found them on Groupon. Previously, I used Oxy-Clean Carpet Service and they took roughly two hours and did a fantastic job. Edges were clean, and carpeted stair risers were done with a handheld tool. Steam It cost twice what Oxy Clean Service charged and the quality of the work certainly does not reflect this. My advice would be to shop around and check reviews. Finally, my experience with Steam IT was far below expectations.I will not use them again.

This is my first google review... I am not often impressed with a service enough to want to tell others about it... There is a first time for everything. I called STEAM IT yesterday and spoke with the owner, Mike... told him about a less than stellar experience I had had with another carpet cleaning service. We went over pricing, needs and scheduling, and he promised someone would appear between 9 a.m. and 9:30 this morning. At 8:59 I had a call that arrival would be at 9:17. It was. So far, so good. The technician who cleaned my carpet is named Tyler Perez. This guy knew more about carpet cleaning than I knew existed. He was fast, neat, did a FABULOUS job and charged what we had agreed on the former day with none of the pushy upselling I had experienced before. I am 66. I am picky. I have had carpets cleaned more than 20 times in my life. So far, this has been the best experience. I will call them again next time, and I will recommend them to anyone who wants to find good help. And apparently, I will make the effort to learn how to write a Google review. They are THAT good!

Not good experience I went for the services based on review but not satisfied. Technician came and did the Job within 1 hour whole house. Didn’t expect this service.

I ended up with these guys through a OneGuard (home warranty)service request. Firstly he could not clean the windows upstairs as he didnt have a ladder but offered to power hose them from the ground with some soap in the water. Then proceeded to clean all the exterior windows and doors downstairs with a bottle of spray and a towel. Terrible job - windows are still dirty. I will have to clean them later myself.

Moved into a new apartment with filthy floors and they came and helped me out! They were timely and very great customer service. Will be using them again :)

Terrible, tech said my carpet was flimsy, its 100% wool hand woven 1 thick ! And even if it were flimsy, why would you insult a customer!! They were less than the other firms, I should have known better. Would not use them again.

He became indifferent and told me the carpet would look the same, no need to avoid stepping on it after cleaning.
