Browders Towing was great. They really helped us out in an emergency. Dustin the driver was courteous, friendly, and respectful. He really went the extra mile (literally) to get us and our car back home four hours away! I would highly recommend Browders Towing to anyone in need of a towing service.

Id advise the general public to stay clear of this business. They ripped me off of $500 today 08/20/2021. When my driver called them to pull my truck out of a ditch, they said it would cost $500. Once they were done pulling the truck out and while the truck was still attached to their tow truck, they threatened to drive off to their yard unless we paid $1000 (which was never the initial agreement). I tried negotiating to $700 but the other guy who came to join him said either we pay $1000 or they drive off to the yard with my truck. They were very rude, aggressive and unprofessional. Please use a different service, dont let them do the same to you.

I only have good things to say about Browders. They arent like those bigger companies like triple A- who will leave you in the dust and put you on hold for hours. The folks at Browders were fast to respond, honest, and kind people who will treat you like family.The tow truck driver was professional and kind and even recommended places to eat in the area. Once we arrived at the repair shop, the waiting area and bathrooms were clean and comfy. I was so thankful for the coffee and TV, it really made a bad situation better.In the end, I had to get my alternator replaced and when I had to wait 2 hours for a friend to pick me up for the night, (since I broke down far away from home), they stayed open late just to make sure I got home safe. The car parts got in quickly and everything they did was for a great price. I trust these people with any family member or friend. You wont be disappointed

Just wanted to say how professional the staff is. We had to take my car there to have the front & back wheel bearings replaced, something regarding the drive shaft (I can’t remember exactly) and get it inspected. All within a 2 week timeframe. Even though we didn’t expect all these issues they made sure everything was fixed properly.We have also used them for towing several times in the past. The operators are very professional when it comes to transporting your vehicle.I highly recommend this company for any of your vehicle needs!

Worst service ever!!!!! Margaret should be fired!!!! I am a Senior Citizen, and a Disabled Veteran left in the hot sun with a broken down vehicle for 4 hours while Margaret lied to me over, and over about the driver arrival time. I am a loyal member of Allstate Motor Club. I hope Allstate never uses them again.

I was on my way to taking my son to VW college for a tour there was a metal pipe in the road that I hit which caused my tire to go flat called dispatch they told me it would be about an hour wait. I’m not from this area, and didn’t know who to call for towing my car today, so I googled and it gave me Browder’s towing, when I tell you they were fast to the scene and towed my car with lots of love and care and made sure I was okay ; I will forever call on them . They have excellent service and skills .

I request that my vehicle be towed to my house and they took it upon themselves to take my car all the way to their shop. This was done to over charge the insurance company. Then on top of all this I never received my plates from them

Amazing!!!! Did I mention these folks are amazing!!!!!We broke down coming from the coast of NC into Colonial Heights and Browders Towing came and got us and took us and 2 dogs to the Advance Store in a beautiful green rollback. The gentleman (and I sincerely mean that) couldn’t have been nicer or more pleasant especially since we had the dogs. It had started to rain and he said “let’s hurry and get those babies in the dry”I would highly recommend this company for all your towing needs!!!!

I was asked to change my review with the promise of a discount on my next repair or a free tow but as you can see I should have learned from the first experience when i nearly lost my job believing my car would be done in a few hours which turned into two weeks of being told my car would be done everyday until i posted the last review that they or should i say he cant be trusted. I was also charged for an oil change i didnt need nor ask for because it had been changed a week before i had my car towed there. Maybe my appearance had something to do with it.... maybe its amnesia or Alzheimers but you can trust them at your own risk. Maybe this review will refresh his memory.

This Company is very unprofessional rude and unable to conduct business in any way shape or form. I had a vehicle delivered to my store when speaking to the driver about paying them for the delivery he handed the phone to me. I then spoke with the most disrespectful person i have ever done business with! I simply asked for an invoice and was told i wouldnt get one unless i paid first and that they only take cash, who ever i talked to was unreasonable in disrespectful when we told them i would write a company check or pay with card i was denied and told i dont take no check i don know yall and after paying they not only took 30 min to send an invoice but then continued to be rude and disrespectful. not sure what type of people with a third grade reading level they hire like the guy i spoke with, but absolutely worst company i have ever done business with!! I would do zero stars if i could DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

There is no parking lot its just cars scattered out front and no room. Its unorganized to say the least. They dont seem to know much about anything they should be knowledgeable on to be able to help you out. they are more interested in talking on the phone than helping someone out. Not friendly but not to rude at same time seem more emotionless. Ive had to deal with towing places before and none were as bad as this place.

Wed give 10 out of 10 stars to this group if it was an option on google!We called them before they opened around 7:45am. One of my staff was at a hotel and woke up to a flat tire. Jeff took our call for support to change the tire and within 10 minutes, a specialist was onsite and was done with the job within 45 minutes. My team made it to and from and home safely.Wed call them again and recommend them to anyone in the area in need of help.Well done guys!

I needed a jump because my battery was close to being completely drained. I asked around for a jump but people didnt have cables. So I called my insurance and they sent Browders to give me a jump. The driver pulls out a jump box. I informed him it may not work because the battery was close to dead but he did it anyway. After waiting 30 minutes and him being out there maybe 10 minutes (thats being nice), he says there was nothing he could do. He asked me where I wanted to tow the car. I told him not to worry about it. He looked a me weird like, well what are you going to do? I told him I was fine and I signed the paperwork with a look of disappointment and frustration on his face. A tow driver in the past told me that my insurance pays them a pretty decent per mile rate for tows so I know that is what he was looking for. When he left, I called a friend, ended up finding my jumper cables and after about 15 minutes, I was back on the road. As far as being towed, I have no problem with them because they have done it in the past, but if you need a serious jump, look elsewhere because they may be after your wallet or purse. As far as the racism comment left earlier. Its not about racism (I am a black man), its about some people taking advantage of people that need their help. In conclusion, recommend them if you need to be towed and your insurance will pay for it, but do not recommend them for anything else and if you have to pay for a tow, look somewhere else.

The tow truck driver was amazing. He fixed my car so that I didnt even need to get towed. Saved me a lot of money and was friendly and happy to help. Turned a stressful day into a great one!

Very unprofessional, we as a company had a vehicle towed to our location, when we called to confirm who do we write out the check to, somebody over the phone very rudely responded with, “my driver isn’t going to take a check” “why would I take a check from you I DONT KNOW YOU LIKE THAT” and to make it worse they didn’t want to give us an invoice for how much the tow is until we paid!!! Well first things first I will not pay for something without knowing what I am paying for.. and at the end whoever I spoke with over the phone said if you don’t pay me CASH I will take the vehicle back. Honestly the very worst experience with a towing company I don’t recommend if I could give negative stars I will but to bad google doesn’t let me

Highway robbery! Avoid at all costs! These guys charged me $50 for less than 10 minutes work! Go to Merchants Tire & Auto Centers, less than a mile away instead. Heres what happened: I was driving up I-85 to DC from NC with my wife and five children, and our check engine light came on. I looked up on my phone a place to stop and get it checked quickly by a computer. I called Browders, which was 10 miles up, and they said they would check it, no problem. I got there and 5 minutes later, they had verified it was an O2 sensor. With less than 10 minutes work, these guys charged me $50. I have a feeling that if I was black, not white, they would have charged a reasonable amount. Racism runs both ways, I suppose. I will say that Peanut, the tech who helped us, was a very nice gentleman.

They are prompt when you call them, and the employees and drivers are pleasant. I have used the 2 times, and wont hesitate to use them again. Thanks for being there when needed.

I had the opportunity to meet Jerry and Bernard from a AAA service call on one of the hottest days so far this summer. After two previous tow companies showing up who were unable to tow my Mercedes, AAA finally hit the jackpot when they sent Browders Towing & Service. These guys are the best! They took all the time required to get my Mercedes up on the tow truck without causing any damage to my car. It took about three hours because of the issue with the tire/axel/ball joint/whatever. They were kind, professional and patient throughout the entire process. I will be forever grateful. Thanks so much.

Leo, the person that came to tow my car to a service station because of my flat tire, was unprofessional. He told us if he knew it was just a flat tire he would not have come because of the satellite lot where it was parked. There were no other vehicles near my car and we were trying to be helpful in telling him the easiest way to exit. I can understand the frustration with having to help someone in a smaller lot; being as rude as he was to us on top of saying he would have refused helping at all was uncalled for.

I need to get my car out Shells by tomorrow. They have a good price just to get my car to a few blocks. Dont mind calling them again of something happens to my car.

Was told that this company would be to me in 55 mins. It was right at 2hrs. And told me my insurance company had lied to me. And this was the owner Jerry that stated it. Dispatch lady was unprofessional when I called when they where a hour late. The driver was great the truck was nice.

Paid total of $3700 for motor being dropped and fixed. Took home problem was still the same. Took same car to Chevy expert fixed for $400. Let my experience be a lesson to all......Dont understand Free if I already paid that much for a camshaft repair.

They were fantastic. They moved my car very quickly out of the snow and ice and got it safely out of the way of the other cars and the snow plow that we are hoping comes through soon. They were very friendly and I would recommend them to anyone!

I have used Browders around 16 times in the last couple of years, I buy and sell classic cars so I need tows often. Every single Time including my recient tow last week was great with no issues at all, Every driver I have came across has been great and I’ve gotten to know a few from my many tows with them. Every time they were on time. I never have had to wait! They are extremely careful with my cars and they have the nicest equipment around, no junk trucks with these guys. I have been burned in the past with other tow companies, but never with Browders I highly recommend them!

Our agency called them to tow my vehicle off the side of the highway i-95 and 295.. my wifes man had broke down as I arrived on site there vas a tow truck driver from this company attempting to put my vehicle back on the road so he could hook up to it...After realizing he had stopped for the wrong car because we werent going to North Carolina which equals more pay for the driver he was going to leave my van pass back corner in the hwy ... I had to call dispatch and thow a fit to get them to try to my car Back off the road.he left still part of van in the traving lanes... He could have use his truck to pull me out the road .... All that guy cared about was his check not my wife me or my son safety.... I would not use them ever again... ....

Donnie Roach from Broaders Towing saved my day. My infant daughter and I were left stranded after a rear end collusion that rendered our car un-drivable. When he picked up our car via our auto insurances request, he learned of our issue returning homr, and voluntarily called and offered to drive us back to not just the collision center, but all the way to our house. With a crying baby. For 3 hours. Down a dirt road. Donnie was very kind and professional, his truck is clean and comfortable, and I cant say Thankyou enough.

Called roadside assistance through my insurance company because we ran out of gas and was stuck on the side of 295 but they never showed. I ended up calling a cab for my husband to go get gas. Donnie from Browders saw my truck and stopped even though he was not the one my insurance called he was just coming back from fixing someone elses flat. He stayed with me until my husband got back and even gave us a jump. My flashers had been on so long my battery died. He was so nice and helpful. I wish every tow truck driver was this friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Watch out for fake positive reviews on here. These people have a horrible reputation in the local community. Stay clear of these guys, they are con artists and very dishonest people. I wrecked my vehicle and called and asked that these guys tow my vehicle from the wreck scene to my home. They agreed and sent out a tow truck. When they arrived, the driver kept nagging me about how I should have the car sent back to their shop. I said no, that I would pay them out of pocket to have it towed the 10 minute drive to my home. They left with my car and I got a call from the owner a few minutes later and he tried to convince me that the insurance people would act faster if I had my vehicle at their shop. I again said no and that my home was a short distance from the wreck scene and there was no point in taking it all the way back to their shop. He then said that he had a bunch of tows to do and that he didnt have time right then to deliver it to my home, but would return it to my home later for no extra fees. The owner today says that he wants $625 to release my Mercedes to me from his shop. As far as I am concerned, these guys stole my vehicle to get the car to their shop so they could try to work over my insurance company for all sorts of extra fees. They worked me over trying the get my vehicle to their shop after I had endured a high speed crash and was bleeding. Stay away!!!!! VERY dishonest and unethical people!!!!

They picked up my car 1 mile from there shop after I left it on the side of the road until the morning after a breakdown and they tried to charge me more than I just paid for the car it was a little cheap car and they charged me $760 for towing it one mile I ended up just giving them the car I will never use them and others in the area are cheaper by far
