I attempted to see a doctor at this clinic for severe social anxiety issues. It was very very difficult to even get in touch with someone at this clinic. They then emailed me new patient paperwork that I had to fill out and get back to them. I attempted to reach them several times to schedule an appointment. They called me once and I missed the call due to my ringer on my phone being off because my work requires it. I emailed the correspondent Amanda, that I had already spoken and was very short and rude, to to let her know that it would be easier to make phone contact with my husband. After waiting a week after I had returned my new patient paperwork, Amanda contacted my husband, which I had informed her was the best way to reach me many times through email. She first griped about me not answering my phone which I had already told her through email to call my husbands phone due to mine being off for work most of the time, and informed him that I could not be seen by a psychiatrist or psychologist in their clinic because I am on an opiate replacement therapy from another doctor. He said that she had a very snotty tone which I noticed the one and only time I spoke with her. First, the really need a more compassionate new patient coordinator because she will cause people to not want to call back.. Second, I was previously addicted to several other types of street drugs and opiates and have been on suboxone therapy for 2 years. I have not touched a street drug in 2 years and I have began to ween off the suboxone. I think its ridiculous that I cannot get mental therapy due to recovering from addiction. That is just crazy. I am reaching out for help and I am being denied help. I have very good blue cross and blue shield insurance, so that was definitely not the issue. They call themselves mental therapists yet deny help to people that need it. I would love zero stars if that was possible

I never felt comfortable at this office. the patient coordinator was always incredibly rude when i called the office. they had a habit of calling my mother despite me being 18 and giving them my phone number multiple times. I wasn’t even made aware of one appointment because they called my mom so i didn’t know about it because i don’t schedule my own appointments and my mom was out of town and then we were charged a $105 no show fee that insurance doesn’t cover. At one point i called the office to clear up the phone number situation and the lady, in a very unkind tone, said “you’re 18, you’re an adult you need to be taking responsibility for not showing up for your appointment”. i have incredibly bad social anxiety and hate talking on the phone i’m the first place and was appalled that a mental health facility would treat its patients like this. i always hated calling and it gave me multiple anxiety attacks. they also canceled all my appointments without informing me and when i called they said they did which was untrue. so i was left hanging with no other options because no where is accepting new patients. i always felt like my issues were downplayed and i never felt comfortable completely opening up with my doctor. i do not recommend seeking treatment here.

I don’t understand why this doctors office has such bad reviews. I’ve been coming here for over a year and it’s nice to go to a doctor that genuinely cares. I’ve been seeing doctor Dillon and he’s pretty awesome, he’s not a pill pusher doctor, he wants to make sure his patients are doing okay and are on the right medication to feet their individual needs. Please don’t let the low reviews deter you! This really is an awesome doctors office to take care of your mental health.

Nothing but rude and careless energy given off. As an organization meant to help those with mental health issues make life easier and less stressful (especially in times like this), I have seen nothing but unprofessionalism and lack of empathy from the front office workers and wannabe doctors of psychological associates. I am taking my business elsewhere, where my well-being and mental health will be more valued. I have never been treated more rudely by any other mental health practice in my life and do not intend to stick around to watch my experience worsen.

It has taken me some time to write this...I couldnt possibly tell you how much Dr. Dillon failed my boy.He was seeing him for quite some time, and getting better. The office stopped taking his insurance, without warning. We had money, I make plenty of it. We offered to pay cash for the appointments just so my son could stay. The office stated they wouldnt take it. It blew my mind. We were then forced to try to find someone that was accepting patients. We couldnt find anyone. We went to several hospitals who referred us to Lakeview or other places that skewed his meds around so much that he became an entirely different person. He killed himself shortly after, leaving a note that said: I cant stop being terrified of everything in the world. I am in the wrong place for mental health treatment because its just not obtainable for me. Remember, I was happy once....I hold the facility directly responsible for not giving us notice, and not caring enough to even write him a script to last him until he could actually get treatment. Save your kids. Look through the reviews. Thats two suicides attributed to the lack of care here, from what Ive read. Dont take them here.

I have been seeing Dr. Boersman and Dr. Dillion for a little over a year now and they have truly changed my life. Dr. Boersman has been tremendous in helping me accept and manage my anxiety. I always look forward to my sessions. The way that their office has multiple providers is so helpful in creating streamlined care. The front desk staff is always kind and helpful in scheduling appointments and making sure I have what I need. Never had a bad experience once.

Its been said failed doctors become psychiatrists and this could not be more true for Dr. Amanda Morgan at Psychological Associates. I personally describe her as a professional who exposes the cruel paradox of carelessly over-treating the worried well, while shamefully neglecting the really sick.My son had worked with three different doctors at this practice. The first was replaced after the doctor broke privacy and spoke with me about a topic my son wished to keep private. It wasnt a safety issue but just an observation of his mom. We then saw Dr. Morgan who after many sessions would fail my son and family for life. At each visit she would open her door a few minutes before the appointment time and say Ill be with you shortly only to return 15-20 minutes after the appointment time. My son was seeing her for anxiety, and she knew this. I spoke with her about the constant tardiness and said it was making it rougher on him waiting. Finally, after many appointments and the wait times getting worse, he told her exactly what he felt. He did this in front of the office staff, and they all had smiles and agreed it was all true for this doctor. My son committed suicide on July 10 and in his final words (note) to us he specifically said if it were not for a failed psychology system and Dr. Amanda Morgan he may not have done this. Please look elsewhere before seeing her as I personally believe she should not be a licensed professional.

I really like my therapist, Mindy, and Im sad to not see her again but the last thing I want is put up with an attitude from the staff (Not Tina, shes sweet). I was late filing my new patient paperwork - my fault. But is being rude necessary? You would think people who works with mental health issues would be a little more considerate. It is very discouraging for people seeking help. Shame on them. I want nothing to do with this office.

As someone who has struggled with not only mental health, but also trusting mental health professionals, this place has excellent doctors (now).I didnt always feel this way, and may have thought about a bad review in the past due to policies in place for obvious reasons, but detrimental to my personal health (the inability to switch doctors at the practice. Myrna Bobet is probably the WORST doctor Ive ever met both personally and professionally. Oof. Thankfully she left as I was starting medication)I actually never leave reviews, but the unfair reviews from the past few months have inspired me to. Because someone committing suicide is never ANYONES fault. As someone who has tried several times, I genuinely have Dr Vincent Dillon, and Dr. Amanda Morgan to thank for my lack of attempts in the last few years, and for the almost non-existent minor ideation (which always results from ME not taking my meds, not by lack of care, skill, or professionalism of my doctors.)Dr. Morgan is kind, is insightful, is HUMAN. We have both had scheduling conflicts in the past (she had an infant, things happen), but shes a great doctor for me because we are both flexible and forgiving. She is so easy to talk to. Even when I would show up to my appointments out of obligation, not thinking I had anything to say, Id end up saying it all. I started our sessions crying. All the time. Constantly. I rarely cry anymore and it has turned from crisis management into maintenance and its wonderful. She finally gave me a proper diagnosis and gave me the confidencand trust I needed to try medicine again. Which unfortunately first led me to bobet, but then thankfully to Dr. Dillon.I have never had a Psychologist genuinely want to solve my problems. Dr Dillon is incredibly amazing at what he does. I feel he genuinely wants the win of figuring in out too, and I really appreciate it. He is not allowed to retire. He listens, he gives options, he encourages, but is honest. You MUST be honest with them, and yourself, if you want to get better. He is the first name out of my mouth anytime someone is serious about changing for the better. I respect him and his time. Im honest about how Im feeling and if its my fault or if it may need an adjustment. You can only get out of something what youre willing to put into it.This year has been incredibly difficult for everyone. And losing someone is never easy. But its definitely not the doctors at psychological associates fault, their stressed out front staff, or your insurances fault. It isnt YOUR fault either.

I have been here a few times, and my therapist (Ill be nice and not share their name) was nice, but sort of rushed to get me in and out of every appointment. When I would call the front staff for questions, the woman (dont know her name) was very rude. Its sad that they really dont care. All they want is your payment for appointments. Sad people.

Office staff member called to confirm my appointment for next day. She proceeded to say my insurance company denied claim for D.O.S 1/6/17. She stated that my insurance company wants more information from me. They want to know if I have a secondary insurance. I told office staff I dont have a secondary insurance. She said, I know that, but insurance needs that information. I told her I would take care of that A.S.A.P. Which I turned around called insurance company. They wanted the yearly survey to be filled out. You would think office staff would know this. I completed the survey for my insurance. The next morning I called to let office staff member know that the insurance information was taken care of and the visit for D.O.S would be paid in 7 to 14 days. Told office staff, insurance also would pay todays claim since I filled out the yearly survey. Office staff member called back to tell me that since they had a denial from insurance I would have to pay for 1/6/17 visit and todays visit in full for the amount of $400.00. I was only prepared to pay my co-payment since I have insurance. My insurance company called Psychological Associates as well. They let them know that 1/6/17 would be paid in 7-14 days and todays visit was cover. Insurance company stated that it didnt make any sense because they would have to reimburse me. So, I am not comfortable about getting reimbursed by this office. I cancelled all my appointments. Office staff member didnt care. This is not an insurance friendly office. I will take my business elsewhere.

The front office staff is very stuck up and unwelcoming. They dont acknowledge you when you come up to the window. They would continue their work until they have completed a task then acknowlede your presence. Something as simple as Ill be with you shortly or maam Ill be right with you is never uttered. They just ignore you until they are done. God forbid you cancel an appointment. You have to wait forever to get another one even though you are an established patient. No to mention that I had to wait 3 months for my first appointment because I was a so called new patient. As for the therapist I saw, RS, his head is in the clouds. He really didnt know much and did not give me any techniques or suggestions to help solve or make my issues better. Just suggested that consider taking a pill.I called the office to ask if I could switch therapist and they said that they do not allow patients to switch between therapist in their practice. So, I left!

I have worked front desk at a dental office for 6 years and one of the first voices new patients hear when calling. Ive also had to interact with plenty of doctors offices as a patient so I am well aware how new patients perceive an office. The individual answering phones is who makes the first impression. The young lady who answered the phone today was completely and utterly rude who obviously did not care. This practice is Psychological Associates. Its supposed purpose is to help people in regards to mental and emotional health. You would think that the front office staff member(s) would have that in mind when someone calls seeking help. How do you know that you are not talking to a person at the end of their rope? That person is calling your establishment for help only to be answered by some unfriendly, unhelpful person who could obviously care less about whatever situation they are going through. I was seeking help for my son with adhd. Looking for someone who could help with family counseling, tools for parents of adhd children and someone who could check for any other disorders that might be an issue as they typically are with adhd. I called looking for help. The only help I got was being spared wasting money on an office that does not care about patients or prospective patients. If they did, there wouldnt be mostly reviews about how poor their office staff is. Reviews that span the last few years. As a patient, patient parent AND an employee in the health profession, this office has much to learn about how their office staff should speak to new patients and show compassion.

Dr. Zieman is amazing!!! I rarely write reviews but I always look for the best ones before making a choice so when I saw the reviews at Psychological Associates I was nervous but I trusted my intuition and I’m SO glad I did because we got to meet Dr. Z!He treated my 6 year old daughter who has had an Autism and SPD diagnosis since she was 2.5. We went in for a possible ADHD diagnosis since she had been struggling to maintain focus and was overly hyper which made school very challenging for her. I was worried he’d meet with her, ask some questions and make an impulse decision within an hour without much thought or evidence behind it because I’ve heard some crazy stories prior to this. Needless to say that wasn’t the case! He took his time to get to know her and even included her in conversations. She took to him instantly! He decided to order further testing which she completed. It was pretty lengthy but it gave him the insight he needed to give a proper diagnosis a few weeks later. He explained to me why he takes giving the correct diagnosis so seriously which I appreciated! He wrote a VERY thorough report which perfectly describes my daughters strengths and weaknesses and gave excellent suggestions for accommodations to ensure her success in school. He even emailed me back promptly when I asked if he could make a few changes to the report! From start to finish Dr. Z was super professional and very easy to talk to! I’m so thankful he took an experience I was a bit nervous for and made it in to a positive one for Brooklynn and I! I wish there were not only more doctors like him but more people! You rock Dr. Z!!
