I had to go through the SAP program to return to work. I was in a time crunch due to some other things going on. She got me in, same day, and was the absolute best I could have asked for.If you’re doing the sap program, I highly recommend Ms. Dawson. She was down to earth. Extremely normal, not what you’d expect from a Psychiatrist. (At least for me) 🧐😁

My husband (100%DV w/PTSD) called to get help and was turned away due to not accepting our insurance. Before he couldn’t even get the question out of paying cash he was told she had another patient on another line that needed to be tended to. How awful is this..?!?!

Susan has been easy enough to connect with and supportive with my book publication efforts and other goals. She is usually on time with appointments, with a few exceptions so that is appreciated.We have different beliefs about some things, but we are able to have a discussion without any judging. She always has sodas or water available as well and tries to keep a flavor stocked that Ive enjoyed, despite the fact I might be the only one who drinks it.

You will never know you’re missing something until you attend any class or individual session at reality check. It truly lives by its name. Susan is one of the most genuine people I have ever met and has became a huge inspiration to me. I was battling threw almost everything and anything that could go wrong with a mindset of, “oh well”. Susan helped me take control of my life and take the steps into becoming the best version of myself. I had a need for some counseling and chose Reality Check. I learned a lot about why I was making bad decisions, and learned to be aware of things that put me at a higher risk for making bad decisions. All the staff treated me with respect and dignity, and didnt ever judge me. That impressed me the most. I HIGHLY recommend Reality Check to anybody!!! Regardless of your situation or needs.

Seemed nice at first, opened up to her and shared my accident with her, where I lost vision in my right eye in an accident 2 years ago and am a traumatic brain injury patient. During my initial evaluation she said, dont look at me with your one eye like that. And literally started laughing like it was a joke. Then she says Im sorry, I know Im terrible while still laughing. It would be one thing if I knew her, but I dont know you and youre making fun of a disabled guy?! Very unprofessional Susan
